Does Taylor Swift want to do a Vogue cover or editorial with Tom Hiddleston?

tay vogue

Tom Hiddleston stepped out of his Gold Coast hotel again today! He was photographed going for a run, wearing the exact same workout clothes because I guess he didn’t bring a lot of clothes for a multi-month stay in Australia? Maybe he expects Taylor Swift to buy him some new threads. She should! Anyway, Tommy managed to avoid another impromptu press conference outside the hotel, which is good news for all of us not wanting to see a repeat of this weekend’s awkward-ass Q&A session. Here are the photos:

Reportedly, Taylor Swift has left the hotel for her workouts too, but I don’t think there are any photos of her out solo on the beach. Weird.

Meanwhile, Hollywood Life had an absolutely hilarious and extraordinary story about Tiddles. I wouldn’t care about HL’s “reporting” normally, except that this story has the same giddy energy as E! News’ Tiddlebaby story yesterday. Is Team Tiddles leaking like a sieve? Is HL talking out of their ass? Or does Taylor Swift really want to do a Vogue editorial with Tom Hiddleston?

The last time Taylor Swift, 26, was on the cover of Vogue, she looked stunning. This time Tay wants to take it one step further and include her new man Tom Hiddleston, 35, on the cover, along with a super edgy “fashion spread”, HollywoodLife.com reports.

“Taylor would absolutely love to be on the cover of Vogue with Tom. And of course do a fashion spread with Tom, similar to what Gigi and Zayn did,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Taylor loves that Tom is really into fashion and that they can coordinate their outfits together. It’s fun for her, and it’s something she never use to do with Calvin.”

Meanwhile the happy couple is now in Australia where Tom will soon start production on the next installment of Thor. While down under, Taylor is hoping to test-run living together.

“Taylor is going to use the time to see what it feels like living with Tom. She is treating it all like a honeymoon and is very excited to get to know him even more then she already does.”

Taylor will also start working on her music. “She’s got tons of material for her new album both on Calvin and Tom. She’s still planning on writing her (Calvin Harris) retaliation song, but her main focus right now is Tom, and enjoying their time together in Australia before he starts working.”

[From Hollywood Life]

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid’s Vogue editorial in the May issue was actually one of my favorite things of the year. The editorial was just so cute, sweet and sexy, but that’s because Zayn and Gigi seemed to have a very genuine attraction for each other. Taylor and Tom would look like two underbaked sugar cookies standing awkwardly next to each other. It would be a Pout Off. Or it would be a repeat of Tom’s cheesefest W Magazine editorial. *shiver*

Anyway, a source close to Swifty tells Gossip Cop that it is “not true” that “she’s aiming to get a Vogue cover with Hiddleston.” Okay, but what about an inside editorial? I could definitely see Anna Wintour okaying something like that.

This is performance art – Joaquin Pheonix style. I still refuse to believe this…

    • Mrs. Welen-Melon says:

My favorite thing about Taylor ‘n’ Tom: they have made any Kardashian attempt at headlines superfluous, redundant, and otherwise bo-ring.

And there’s nothing PMK can do about it.

    • C says:

      MousyB, you nailed it 😀

  2. Maria says:

“Taylor loves that Tom is really into fashion ” with his one pair of shoes and one jacket.

i doubt it. they also cant do it as it would remind everyone of how they met.

i cant get over how terrible taylor looks on that cover. isnt that supposed to be a big deal? who would want to look that bad on it?

    • Esmom says:

Her hair is unbelievably awful. Worse than mine when I tried to cut it myself in high school in the 80s.

      • bobslaw says:

It’s so, so bad. Looks like it was cut with a weed whacker. A mid length bob would be so much cuter (without the bangs), but then she wouldn’t be Karlie Kloss’ twin.

      • Camille says:

        His hair is no better.

    • lunchcoma says:

Yeah, that was really strange. It’s pretty clear that he has someone else pick out his red carpet looks, which generally look fine because he cares about it as a part of his job. His everyday wardrobe suggests he doesn’t care about clothes at all.

  3. Sixer says:

It’s all a fever dream for tweens. Is there a Vogue Kids or something for a more appropriate siting of such an editorial? I mean, then they could tell us which is their favourite My Little Pony. And that’s something we all need to know.

    • Zapp Brannigan says:

I need to know what Hiddles favorite Care Bear is, do they like One Direction now that Zayn is gone. Do they believe that Harry Styles cutting his hair impacted on the Brexit vote? so many questions.

Sixer did I read correctly on a previous thread that you once wrote erotic fanfiction as a lark, please elaborate and was it very Jilly Cooper.

      • Sixer says:

You did! It was for a dare. I cannot emphasise this enough.

I can’t really fully repeat the plot line here but it was first person and about a couple of chefs who collected, ahem, sexiful stuff, and made meringues and white-only omelettes out of it and served it in their restaurant.

I thought this was so ridiculous that I would be outed as a troll immediately. Nuh uh. The entire site took it seriously.

Then I ran away, far far away, and never went back. People are WEIRD.

      • Crumpet says:

        Oh Sixer, that is HILARIOUS.

    • lilacflowers says:

      There is a Teen Vogue.

Seriously, “they can coordinate their outfits.” Everything he owns is either blue, white, black, or gray with the exception of one red & blue plaid shirt. It really doesn’t take much effort to coordinate with blue, white, black, or gray. In fact, he doesn’t even need to be involved in the coordination attempt.

    • Sixer says:

See? Teen Vogue would be perfect. Let’s make a list of questions.

      Favourite My Little Pony?
      Favourite Care Bear?
      Thoughts on One Direction?
Should couples co-ordinate outfits or not?

    • Bonzo says:

It would not surprise me in the least if Tom was a closeted Brony. I bet they watch episodes on Netflix together when they’e done with scrabble.

Which pony would be his favorite? My vote is Fluttershy or Rainbow Dash, which represent kindness/loyalty. Taylor’s would have to be Pinky Pie — the giggling, energetic, sociable singer-songwriter.

      • Crumpet says:

Haha! Yes, I think you hit that one on the nose!

      • Sixer says:

What about Watership Down? Who are they in that universe?

      • Bonzo says:

Oooo… I just read that recently for book club. Let’s see, Taylor would have to be Hazel since she’s leading this production, right? I think Tom could be Pipkin, who is loyal to Hazel and does what he’s told.

      • shelly says:

        ‘Bright eyes,
        Burning like fire.
        Bright eyes,
How can you close and fail?
How can the light that burned so brightly
        Suddenly burn so pale?
        Bright eyes.’

Sob, it puts me in mind of Tom’s brilliant career, dashed on the rocks of famethirst,
        Sniffle, sob

    • Beach girl says:

I believe there is s Teen Vogue that has had articles on her.

  4. Eleonor says:

I think that Vogue cover was awful.

  5. lilacflowers says:

    Isn’t HollywoodLife basically fan fiction?

    • Becky says:

Yes it’s a basic clickbait site. Personally I only take notice of celeb stories if it’s one of the big tabloids like People.

Except the National Enquirer, everyone knows they’re a joke.

    • The Understudy says:

Click bait indeed, I and others have joked about this idea, myself whilst whilst recalling the Tom & Cara spread in Vogue which did make him look like he was her interested uncle. When they have a stab at so many plausible ideas I am sure some of them turn into reality and they almost look like they knew what they were talking about, several of the click bait versions of all this will come to pass. Didn’t the enquirer run a story that TayTo were up to something after the Met ball, I doubt they knew anything they were probably just having a wild stab in the dark and actually struck gold.

Good on Taylor for visiting those sick children, she must have made their day. After all that kerfuffle at the airport and outside the hotel with all these young girls being desperate to meet her she must have seen she needed to do something and rewarding too many stalkers outside the hotel will encourage more to follow.

      • LinaLamont says:

“Didn’t the enquirer run a story that TayTo were up to something after the Met ball, I doubt they knew anything they were probably just having a wild stab in the dark and actually struck gold.”

Puhleeze. Stevie Wonder could see something was up during that dance between TH & TS. The surprise was that people were surprised when the two of them came out.

  6. AlleyCat says:

I could honestly see Taylor being jealous of the Gigi/Zayn spread, although to be honest, I wouldn’t know why. I know this site liked it, but it look led to cheesy, and just basically like it belonged as a JC Penny ad, not vogue.

  7. Bettyrose says:

She’s writing revenge songs about Calvin Harris while shacked up with Hiddles? Nothing says you’re truly in love like obsessing over an ex.

    • M.A.F. says:

I have a strange feeling that we haven’t seen/heard the last of Taylor and Calvin. Every time a post and/or story about him comes up, I get the sense that these are two permanent junior high kids who are “sticking it” to each other only to get back together within a years time.

  8. Anon says:

“Taylor loves that Tom is really into fashion.”

It’s a good job that she is going to use this holiday “to get to know him even more than she already does.”

  9. CornyBlue says:

As much as I like to make fun of Hiddleston’s thirst has Hollywood Life ever been even slightly right ?

  10. KatMC says:

They are both definitely sugar cookies. They are both obviously extremely thirsty. As far as Vogue is concerned, that would be the biggest joke ever. He is going to pose in another tank top with her initials? I know I have said this several times in various posts here, but I just really cannot understand why a 35 year old man who attended Eton and has classical training in acting would have anything in common with someone who behaves as if she has the emotional maturity of a teenager. Maybe he is just sleeping with her and enjoying the press coverage he is receiving from it. If that is the case, and he is not as emotionally vested, she is going to go into meltdown mode when he moves on. He is apparently much more thirsty than we all realized.

    • Chelsea says:

The hook up makes sense when we know that Tom Swift isn’t content with being a respected actor. He wants to be a heartthrob. This is the guy who auditioned in all earnestness for Thor the Norse god, he actually fancies himself a big brawny hunk lol. It can only be explained because he was a nerd in school, his self esteem is tied up to this type of validation sort of delayed reaction to not being the hunk in school. It’s pretty hilarious since all those actors who are naturally pretty, seem to spend all their time uglifying themselves to be taken seriously. This dude is like I don’t want to be taken seriously I want to be a teen idol. He even colours his ginge hair and wears fake tan they say. I seen some old photos of him and he was actually cuter when he just let his nerd flag fly high.

  11. Kate says:

Perhaps Tommy is pulling a Daniel Radcliffe and wearing the same clothes to screw with the paparazzi?
I agree with whomever said this is performance art. It’s ridiculous from all sides.

    • Becky says:

He’s always had a very limited wardrobe, he wears the same clothes til they’ve worn out.

      • Sue says:

…and there is nothing wrong about it. he´s getting dressed by ilaria urbinati, getting clothes from various marks for work/promo, so he´s probably enjoying some kind of leisure style in private. that is also showing his not that kind of ‘modeling celebrity’ at any costs ….

      • jammypants says:

I love that he re-wears clothing until they literally fall apart. Bless him.

      • Hannah says:

There’s no way his daily outfits are from a stylist. He just looks like any old middle aged banker.

      • Dara says:

He wears the same five things until they fall apart, but in the meantime I’ve yet to see Taylor wear the same thing twice – including shoes. That’s a lot of luggage. Do you suppose her wardrobe gets shipped separately?

      • Becky says:

Sue, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it, but he’s not doing it as a reaction to pap photos, he’s always had a limited wardrobe. He does have quality items as well, like the blue Ralph Lauren jacket that appeared when he was doing promo a few months ago, and that’s probably been acquired via his stylist.

    • popup says:

I find this quality funny and endearing. He must have multiples of everything. Not sure how he’d keep up the laundry otherwise.

      • Bonzo says:

Same here. It is one of his endearing qualities. I’m simplistic in my wardrobe choices and can appreciate that.

  12. grabbyhands says:

The last time Taylor Swift, 26, was on the cover of Vogue, she looked stunning.

She did??? Was there an alternate cover? Because her platinum bob-rocker chick look was horrible. Thank god it was blessedly brief.

But yeah, I can totally see Anna Wintour chomping at the bit to give her a cover-it would be a great way for her (both of them, really) to flip the bird to Kanye for the whole “art” video mess, since he worships AW and Vogue so much.

    • Crumpet says:

I liked it! I guess each to their own.

      • Nicole says:

        I liked it too!

      • Lahdidahbaby says:

I liked it too. Don’t like her at ALL, and don’t think she’s very naturally pretty either, but I think she has style chops and thought she looked good on that cover.

    • KatMC says:

Yes, that cover is awful and her hair looks terrible! I do not know who advised her to do that to her hair but they should be fired.

      • Lilacflowers says:

The Vogue hair & makeup department colored and shredded her hair.

      • KatMc says:

It reminds me of Agyness Deyn’s hair. I am honestly not trying to be mean, I am just saying that she (Taylor Swift,) does not have the facial features that would be softened with this look. There are probably only a handful of people who could pull it off well.

      • Katia says:

I can just see Katy Perry laughing for days over Taylor’s cover lol

  13. ell says:

“Taylor and Tom would look like two underbaked sugar cookies standing awkwardly next to each other. It would be a Pout Off.”

lol, no way. it’s like they’re posing for vogue in literally every pap stroll, it would be glorious. i hope it happens.

    • Crumpet says:

Seriously though, how yummy are undercooked cookies? Or cookie dough for that matter? Some of like that stuff you know.

  14. als says:

The sexier he tries to pose, the more ridiculous he looks.
Those arms, that body and that sexy wannabe expression should be hot, but they are not.
This is exactly Taylor’s story: hot body but no sex-appeal. Good thing they found each other.

    • browniecakes says:

You could say they have that in common. Have you seen her Glamour Shots from Vanity Fair? So unsexy.

    • jammypants says:

He’s only sexy when he doesn’t try to be.

      • EnnuiAreTheChampions says:

I think he’s very sexy, but I agree that photo shoots are not his forte. I would also base that conclusion on the 1883 photo shoot, were it not for the fact that I actively pretend that one never happened.

  15. InvaderTak says:

Good night nurse. My gossip kingdom for some clever PR stunts.

  16. Sam says:

I still keep looking at every picture of Tom now to see if he’s trying to send some kind of signal, like blinking in Morse Code or something, just to let everybody know this is a joke and we shouldn’t take it seriously. Like, blink Tom! Let us know you’re alright!

    • Cecilia says:

I’m still really liking the Swimfan scenario I made up – that Taylor has used her money and power to be a successful stalker (that is, the stalker who actually gets its prey). At first, perhaps, Tom was enchanted, smitten and captivated. Now, he’s just a captive!!! I predict she will stalk him right into the wedding chapel. Poor, sad Tom.

I’m probably wrong about my theory but it is so much more fun and interesting than the perhaps true beige love story we might actually have – meh on that.

    • Sue says:

      THIS 😀

    • Miss Jupitero says:

To quote someone from an earlier thread: does he answer to “Reek” yet?

  17. Cecilia says:

I just realized what all these “leaks” from Team Taylor sound like or read like. They really remind me of the old PR/puff pieces that the studios used to put out on their stars – back in the days when the Hollywood studio system held sway and controlled every aspect of their actors lives. The Taylor press releases have that some breathless bullshit quality.

  18. browniecakes says:

Why do you think Tom skipped Wimbledon? Because Taylor wasn’t interested or because it would fuel rumors to go without her or because taking her (+ bodyguards) anywhere like Wimbledon is just too damn much trouble? Andy won – he should have been there for some of it.

    • Bonzo says:

The only explanation I can come up with is that his career comes FIRST. Before family, friends, girlfriends, tennis…

I’d bet if Beyonce and Jay Z could go to Wimbledon without security issues, TnT could have too. It may have been a timing issue with work. Tho’ it doesn’t look like it from here, he may actually be working when we’re not seeing him running or eating out.

      • jammypants says:

Yea he could easily be looking at upcoming work, unannounced.

      • Becky says:

He could’ve gone the 1st week but went to Rome instead, then was in London for 2 days (was seen in voiceover studio) then went off to NY. So it was like 2 days of work.

      • browniecakes says:

Jammypants – that’s why I think he was in LA before Wizard World in Philly was for work. She was in Nashville allegedly although I really don’t want to go down the timeline rabbit hole again. What’s next is more interesting to me. Like how long will she stay in AU.

      • Dara says:

@brownie – when the Hiddleswift World Tour landed last week an Aussie news sight reported Taylor was there for a two week holiday. Why they think that I have no idea, but the two-week mark matches up to when Tom would have to fly back to the US for ComicCon. Maybe the reporter made an assumption based on that.

    • Luca76 says:

He may still have been needed on the set even if he’s not actually shooting yet.

    • Lilacflowers says:

He said in one of those interviews outside the hotel that he had a meeting with the director on Friday. So, he would never have been able to attend the semis or finals because he had to be at work in Australia. And Marvel isn’t going to reschedule so an actor can attend a tennis match on the other side of the world. Matches earlier in the week would have interfered with the 4th of July party. So, the question is why he didn’t attend any matches during the few days toward the end of the first week when he was in London by himself and he might have had work of some sort to do

    • M.A.F. says:

I’m going with the theory of either he just didn’t want to or he had too much to do before he left to do Thor.

  19. Mira says:

    This made me laugh.
“I made it as a tribute to Tom Hiddlestons and Taylor Swifts relationship.” Nicholas Hoult when asked why he did his new movie ‘Equals

    • MI6 says:

@ Mira: That was awesome 😉
I think we have finally found the one thing TH doesn’t do well: date.
This is not dating. It’s a hostage situation and she’s a very wealthy stalker.
He’s not in Oz…he’s in Stockholm. As in Syndrome.
And I can’t WAIT for him to wake up…
      🙂

      • Mira says:

It also made me laugh that Hoult said he thought Idris Elba would be the best James Bond out of the ones thats been mentioned.

      • MI6 says:

@Mira: He would. Idris is by FAR the best candidate and should be cast like, yesterday.
Nicholas Hoult is my new hero :). Boy’s got game.

    • Lucy says:

Did he really say that?? Welp, guess I love him even more now. Taylor better stay away from him…

    • Alex says:

      Lol the shadeeee

    • Bonzo says:

Cute and sassy. I like him.

  20. Sue says:

(already) desperate housewife Tay is doing her charity in children hospital in Queensland, yeah…

    • EnnuiAreTheChampions says:

OMG, how dare she??? Visiting sick kids? This is a new low!!!

    • MI6 says:

Her PR machine is in overdrive. It’s almost Machiavellian.
At least the kids had a good time…

      • KatMc says:

Yes, this exactly. I am glad the kids had a nice moment with someone they like and admire, especially since they are in hospital. I hope that their health improves and they can go on to live normal and healthy lives. I think she is very calculated in most of what she does and she knows she will receive good press from this.

    • Becky says:

Was there a professional photographer on hand by any chance?

      • EnnuiAreTheChampions says:

No. One of the parents tweeted that Taylor didn’t allow any professional photographers or press, and asked the families to wait before posting any pics online so that the press wouldn’t show up.

      • Becky says:

        I should hope not

  21. Brittney B. says:

Oh my god, “underbaked sugar cookies” is GENIUS.

  22. jferber says:

I think Taylor looks very cute on the Vogue cover. I even like her hair. I also liked them in the pic in which she’s wearing the plaid skirt. Adorable. I’d love to see a Vogue editorial of them together, but I’d suggest having a choreographer/stylist/relationship coach school them on looking comfortable and sexy together. Tom’s recent sexy pics were an awful fail. A pasty white Brit is never a good dish for me. Often British men seem so damn uptight, unsexy and uncool. Don’t get me started on Daniel Craig as James Bond.

    • Mira says:

“but I’d suggest having a choreographer/stylist/relationship coach school them on looking comfortable and sexy together”

Hahaha thats hilarious! I am just picturing this in my head

  23. Jane says:

Just remember people, Anna Wintor put Kim and Kanye on the cover of Vogue. It’s not THAT inconceivable that she could put Tat Tay and Tom on it; even though I think it would be the worst thing ever. I’d need eye bleach after seeing that mess.

  24. Lucy says:

I always giggle at the mention of Zayn and Gigi’s totally real “chemistry”. Anyways, back to the topic, I guess I could see it happening? Or maybe just a tell-all interview, but only featuring her.

  25. OhDear says:

“And of course do a fashion spread with Tom, similar to what Gigi and Zayn did…”

Didn’t they do that already in the 99,345,128 pap photo shoots already?

  26. JHK says:

It shocks me that a man that was asked about fame not that long ago said:

“I don’t actually attach any significance to it. And I should qualify that by saying, the only thing that matters to me is the work. ”

And then does a complete 180. This is like Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

    • MI6 says:

…is it totally naive of me to think he’s still in there somewhere??

    • FW says:

he did not lie. just the definition of WORK changed from last time

    • Bonzo says:

I think an important lesson in all this is that what is said in interviews is intended to prop up a their particular public persona. It’s not necessarily reflective of who they really are.

When life (career) isn’t going the way you want, that’s when you see what you’re really made of, amiright? When the chips are down, that’s the real YOU comes out.

I think we’re seeing the real Tom, under stress and grasping at straws to have the superstardom that he’s hoped for. It’s a gamble and the odds aren’t good, but he could get closer to that mark with TayTay’s boost than he would have otherwise. Time will tell.

      • ohdear says:

is it completely inconceivable that he really likes Taylor Swift? And that they understand the fame and attention that could come with their pairing and decided to leverage it?

      • Becky says:

Ohdear, I think he likes her there’s definitely something there I just don’t think he would’ve got together with her if she wasn’t very famous and rich, he’s starstruck. It’s both.

I also agree not to believe what celebs say in interviews; I’ve always got this vibe from Tom, he was always selling himself but he had this knack of coming across as genuine, but then did things that stank of pr, eg taking his publicist on a charity field trip to Guinea. You’d never see Matt Damon or Ewan McGregor doing that.

      • Bonzo says:

“is it completely inconceivable that he really likes Taylor Swift?”

Apart from her massive fame and fortune? Yes.

Those two attractive qualities about her matter more than every other attractive and unattractive quality she has. Taylor will never be loved for just herself. That’s the unfortunate reality she lives in now.

      • Annetommy says:

I’m not sure how you know that Tom has mercenary motives. An attraction to her money seems to be a popular theory, but I’m not sure of the evidence. You can enjoy the private plane etc without actually being with someone because of that.

      • K.C. says:

@Ohdear No, it’s not inconceivable at all. I don’t really get the “Why would he be with her when there’s nothing special about her except her money/fame?” comments. Don’t we fall in love with average people all the time? I personally am not attracted to my best friend’s fiancé in any way, but just because I don’t find him particularly special do I twist that into thinking she’s with him for an obscure reason. People are attracted to each other for all sorts of reasons. I have no doubt whatsoever he’s thrilled by all the publicity and the image boost, but I don’t really think there’s any evidence that he’s with her SOLELY for her fame. I don’t understand why it’s completely out of the question that he might just like her, other than our images of the two simply clashing. Which, of course, isn’t reality.

      • FW says:

        @Bonzo so true….

    • Miss Jupitero says:

He will learn to love his captors.

  27. shadowboxer says:

I don’t know if this is old news, but I just read in the newspaper that the maker of Kim Kardashian’s app is relasing a Taylor Swift game later this year.

  28. JHK says:

“Taylor is going to use the time to see what it feels like living with Tom.”

Dear God, they’ve been attached at the hands through almost all of this PR nightmare. If that’s not enough togetherness, I shudder to think what she might consider “living together” entails.

    • shelly says:

I reckon she will go the full Pataky when she sees the Hemsworths with their beautiful kids, slightly boho, living the laid back Aussie dream.

She appears to be a chameleon in some respects, changing her image to suit the circumstances.

I don’t think that would suit the greater crested TH. He appears to be happiest in an urban setting, wearing the hell out of a nice suit.
Beach gear and shorts don’t look good on him, see exhibit A: The 4th of July get up.

      • JHK says:

Agreed. And I’m afraid it will mean that Mr. Swift would have to give up London and move to the US. I wonder if she would let him keep his home?

  29. Chelsea says:

This one if for all sceptical swiddleston tiddlesswift followers out there 😱

Actor regrets agreeing to PR stunt!
    http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/2016/07/taylor-swift-tom-hiddleston-relationship-is-fake-actor-regrets-a/

    • Beach girl says:

I believe that was submitted by a tumblr acct that’s was trying to prove a point About gossip sites. No one contacted her to verify her acct or ask questions; the site just posted her info. Well she proved her point but was hounded off Tumblr by TnT supporters. She admitted to making a mistake but still left.
      It’s so crazy right now…..

  30. shadowboxer says:

I’m curious what y’all think. If this really was performance art, or a music video or scenarios for her forthcoming lifestyle game or whatever, how do you think her fans would react? Would they approve or feel manipulated? So many seem to really want to believe the relationship. Overselling it for publicity, sure. But a complete stunt? It seems that would be hard to take. But I admit I don’t really understand her fandom.

  31. stinky says:

did a hairdresser get fired yet?

  32. Hannah says:

Lmao! zayn and Gigi are good looking, good models. I can imagine a sexy spread with Tom and Tay Tay would be like if your mum and dad made a sexy spread for their 20th anniversary. Cringe factor would be off the charts. I am here for it tho 😂

  33. Andrea says:

Her hair looked cute initially when it was platinum but now that’s its gone back to this brassy blonde bob it looks terrible. It is like someone was trying to be edgy and failed miserably.

  34. Hannah says:

This cover shot is terrible ! Her hairdo is from when she was trying to look edgy for Calvin. Now it’s seems she’s trying to look mumsy for Tom. She sure likes to change her style for her boyfriend,

    • Lilacflowers says:

Anna Wintour claimed that the Vogue stylists cut and colored her hair for that cover photo. Nothing to do with Eppie Calvin. And she needs to change it up because it was ghastly. She doesn’t have good hair and that bleached style didn’t help.

  35. browniecakes says:

Tom should be happy to finally shoot some scenes – less cameras.

  36. Funny, I was just thinking about cancelling my subscription. I don’t really need to be paying to have the American version of vogue sent over here to the UK, but it was sort of one of my transitional comforts when I first moved over here. Seriously though, if that cover comes out? I’m outa here. And I can TOTALLY see Anna Winter doing just that. Hell, she put KIMYE on the cover. Yuck.

  37. Guesto says:

Hollywood Life is a pile of village idiocy but I do hope that cover happens. With kittens.

  38. browniecakes says:

She’ll start working on her music – what else does she have to do?

Pick out rings, plan the wedding, name the kids, sell Tom’s house, grow out that bob. Never mind – she is busy.

  39. guest says:

saw gigi and zayn’s photo, now I am like what the hell did I just see? Ok for a instagram photo but a for a cover of a mag?nope.

  40. guest says:

saw gigi and zayn’s photo, now I am like what the hell did I just see? Ok for an instagram photo but a for a cover of a mag?nope.

  41. guest says:

stupid phone , oh well 😉

  42. Hannah says:

Buzz feed has a very funny photo side by side comparison that shows how Taylor reenacts her previous relationship through photo stunts with hiddleston. Tried to post the link but the internet ate it.

  43. Nimbolicious says:

I know it’s her MO, but still….When your bae’s stated career hopper seriously includes “writing a retaliation song” maybe it’s time to start backing away. Slowly.

  44. K.C. says:

Hollywood Life is basically fan fiction, but this story is amusing. Particularly the quote about Taylor loving how much Tom is into fashion. The man has like four shirts, two pairs of pants, and one workout outfit. AND ONE JACKET, can’t forget that. Wow. So style, much fashion.

These two give off HGTV magazine vibes, not Vogue.

    • RUNSWITHSCISSORS says:

Well, I guess we won’t be seeing them on HGTV’s “House Hunters.”

BTW, what happened to those brown boots he used to wear all the time? Were they confiscated? Or permanently replaced by those gray suede shoes I would love to step on?

  45. M.A.F. says:

Am I the only one to find it odd that Legendary put their logo on Nike t-shirts? Seems strange that they didn’t use just a plain black shirt.

As for wearing the same outfit, maybe he didn’t sweat as much to warrant a new set. Plus, wearing the same outfit over and over again with the paps makes it harder to sell the pictures.

    • Lilacflowers says:

It might have been a limited thing for Legendary that they hand out to people who work on their films. They all got Kong jackets too.

  46. browniecakes says:

Emmys – On Thursday we find out if Tom gets an Emmy nom for The Night Manager. If he is nominated, will TnT be
    a) in attendance,
    b) already broken up,
    c) too busy with work to notice, or
    d) on their honeymoon (with bodyguards of course)
    on Sunday, September 18, 2017?
If he gets or does not get the nomination, will the press chalk it up to TnT?

    • lilacflowers says:

They should chalk it up to it being a very competitive category this year, which it is. Also, if the series gets a nomination, that is a nom for him as producer. If he is nominated, I think attendance would depend on what is happening with filming Thor: Ragnorak and whether his contract stipulates allowing him to attend such an event.

      • browniecakes says:

That was a very thoughtful response Lilac but it’s more fun for me to put you down for ‘already broken up’.

      • lilacflowers says:

Fine by me! Count me as “b” There’s also the option, as Dara points out, of attending solo, which would probably be over her dead body but has been the way he has played things in the past.

And the serious press won’t chalk it up to her whichever way it goes but the tabloid/clickbait media will because of the ad revenue it will generate.

    • Dara says:

IF (big IF) he gets a nomination, I’m hoping for b) or e) none of the above. I really want Tom to show up solo, just to watch the Swifties lose their minds (sorry girls, but y’all are getting on my last nerve). They are already beyond giddy thinking about what their Queen will wear on the red carpet and how good her Ken-doll of a boyfriend will look standing next to her – because, at the end of the day, it is ALL about her – even on his big night. On the other hand, if Tom, Hugh, and TNM all get noms, I giggle just a little thinking about Hugh Laurie trying to make small talk or find common musical ground with Tom’s date at the after-party.

I agree with @lilac, Actor in movie/mini-series is super-competitive this year. While I’d really like to see him get a nomination, I won’t be surprised if he doesn’t. Whether he does or doesn’t will have zero to do with Tay-Tay, but I anticipate at least some press articles will imply causation.

      • Bonzo says:

The article says that most of the voting was completed before “this brouhaha”, but voting was going on from June 13-27 and the story broke on the 15th. It was perfectly timed for putting him in the minds of Emmy voters through the volume of press about the surprise coupling.

I think Tom was the weakest link in the TNM cast — Coleman, Hollander, Laurie Harewood & Debicki turned in better performances, in my opinion. So I don’t think he deserves a nomination, but I felt the same way about Cumberbatch in TIG and he got nominated for all the major awards, so I’m not good at judging what voters will do.

If he or the series is nominated, I’d expect them both to go. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s sporting a ring in the latter half of August either, when final voting is underway. Crazy I know, but we’re seeing a lot of crazy from these two so I wouldn’t put it past them.

      • lilacflowers says:

@Beach Girl, as I said below, Gold Derby predicted for months that Beyonce would win an Oscar for Dream Girls. She wasn’t even nominated. So, I tend to be bit doubtful about the views on Gold Derby.

    • Sixer says:

I think we need another option.

He doesn’t get nominated so they can’t appear together on the red carpet. Instead, they have a rush wedding on Emmy night in revenge. The wedding is an homage to the Vicar of Dibley’s Tellytubby wedding, complete with headgear for the bride.

      Anything less would CRUSH me.

  47. Miss Jupitero says:

Competition is intense this year. I don’t think he will get the mom. It will have nothing whatever to do with his personal life.

Laurie had damned well better get the non though…..

  48. Jayna says:

I’ve been watching Wallander over the past couple of months on Netflix. I’m now into season 3. I was looking for a recap on the first episode of season 3 and somehow stumbled upon the fact that that curly-headed guy who worked with Wallander the first two seasons was Hiddleston. I had no idea. He was younger, so looked a little different. But I guess his face is that forgettable to me.

  49. Beach girl says:

Sadly when Hiddleston seemed on the verge of an awards breakthrough with “The Night Manager,” this PR mishap has colored his press image. Odds are Hiddleston will still be nominated this week but his chance of winning has probably slipped. The talented actor will have to work a little harder to avoid being seeing as a tabloid Kardashian-esque celebrity. Perhaps a quick trip back to the British stage and some Shakespeare may be just the thing he needs?

    Quotes from Gold Derby

    • LinaLamont says:

No. The Press doesn’t vote in the Emmys.
All the PR (good or bad) has done is, possibly, made voters who weren’t aware of him, aware of him. Some who might not have bothered to view the screener, might.
This “thing” that is TnT will not/does not damage his Emmy chances.
Yes, a lot of it is a poularity contest and hype and getting caught up in the hype, but, all it’s done is raise his visibility.
What’s ON SCREEN is what’s judged (yes, it can be colored by the hype to a degree).

      • Dara says:

Yes and no. The press corps doesn’t vote in the Emmys, but the voters are probably seeing at least some of the photos and reading the stories. If it were just about name recognition, then yes Tom’s odds have improved. But if the voters have been rolling their eyes, even just a little, the way some of the general public and mainstream press have been, then they may just check a different name on their ballot.

In a perfect world, voters should indeed base their choices on the work alone, but I think a lot of them are so busy actually working that they don’t have time to watch everything and everyone under consideration. That’s when perception, reputation and industry connections come into play.

      • L says:

        @Dara

As a voter (not just for the Emmys and, albeit, for different categories), I can tell you no. The Press and PR, for the most part, have no negative influence.
        Sentimentality is sometimes a factor.

Actors, directors, many people in the business separate the person from the craft.
That’s why so many support Allen and Polanski. Not that film and tv are comparable in terms of value, but, doctors and lawyers heal and defend reprehensible people.

TH and his antics are harmless. No harm; no foul.

      • LinaLamont says:

        @Dara
Sorry. Don’t know why my name was cut off in my response.

      • LinaLamont says:

        @Dara
Sorry. Don’t know why my name was cut off in my response.

Also, voters aren’t some elite group of Nobel Prize winners. ..they’re peers who pull the same crap and have their own messy lives to deal with.

    • browniecakes says:

I think the Gold Derby might be right up there with Hollywood Life and Bustle for reporting.

    • lilacflowers says:

Gold Derby was insistent that Beyonce would win an Oscar for Dreamgirls.

  50. Chef Grace says:

The song by S Vaughan ‘Whatever Lola wants Lola gets’ but insert Taylor..LOL
    Whatever Taylor wants, Taylor gets
And little man, little Taylor wants you
Make up your mind to have (make up your mind to have)
    No regrets (no regrets)
Recline yourself, resign yourself, you’re through
I always get what I aim for
And your heart and soul is what I came for

  51. anon123 says:

Taylor has great legs. May be that is what they have in common.

  52. Sue says:

Is Emmy such an important award? I’m not familiar with prestige of this one. But is it worth of this kind of medial frenzy? I too think TH wasn’t that good in that series. Too many close-ups, to many puppy-eyes in many scenes etc. It felt like advertisment of TH all the time. Like everything was about his character but the character was too mild…

    • Dara says:

For US television, it is considered THE award. For anyone who worked on a made-for-television show, it is their equivalent of an Oscar. So yes, high prestige factor, relatively speaking.

It is one of the four awards that make up the EGOT, stands for Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony – one award in each major performance category – TV, film, music and live theater.

    • LinaLamont says:

Um…dunno. It’s the highest in tv. 1/4 of EGOT

I’m sure most actors world prefer an Oscar, if they had to choose. Directors, too…definitely more prestigious. People in other categories are very happy/honored with an Emmy. For people in many of these other categories, the prestige of an Oscar isn’t greater. Emmy’s definitely a coup for a producer.

  53. AnotherDirtyMartini says:

I’ve never thought of TS as a pretty person. More cute or attractive. But here she looks awful 🙁

  54. AnotherDirtyMartini says:

Oh let me pick on TH too. I’ve never seen him in anything, so I’m basing my opinion off still pics & also a bit of his appearance on James Cordon sp? Anyway, he looks like he takes himself too seriously. And I find him resembling a grown up drama nerd. On occasion, I spot a little hotness. But in this half-dressed pic he looks too Right Said Fred I’m-Too-Sexy-for-my-Shirt. Ugh

  55. spittair says:

Tom just tweeted a Guardian article about technology disrupting the truth and added a thumbs up. I guess that’s his response to the speculation about Hiddleswift?

    Well, alright then Tom.

    • Sixer says:

      Hahahahaha.

The final bastion has crumbled. No self-respecting thespian would use an emoticon.

    • lilacflowers says:

It is actually a really good article that raises questions about media responsibility to fact check on political issues and how failure to do so affected Brexit and other areas on which people are and will be casting votes.

      • Sixer says:

That’s the good part of it (and I genuinely mean good, honest). Post truth politics is BAD.

The underlying part of it is the implied attack on non-MSM news outlets cos the Grauniad is going skint big style. It’s just the latest in their efforts to stave off disaster. I most enjoyed the pop-up they had going for ages and ages shouting at people to turn off their ad blockers. “Won’t anybody think of the Guardian!” But they’re also begging for £5 a month supporters because they’re too afraid to institute a paywall.

People DO still pay for sensible, investigative journalism. Private Eye and the FT are doing fine here. But they don’t pay for the commentariat to pretend they are journalists. That, right there, is the Guardian’s problem. Comment is two-a-penny – but they retained their highly paid commentators and got rid of their less highly paid proper journalists when digital started to threaten them. The Graun is as responsible for post truth reporting as anyone else is. Reading this, you’d think they had nothing to do with it.

I feel no pity. And I’m bored with these types of articles at the Grauniad cos the underlying theme is always the same.

        Oops! Sorry! Rant over!

      • lilacflowers says:

Rant understood and appreciated. The Newsroom touched on this issue during its brief run on HBO with the new owner wanting to go more with broadcasting news gathered from tweets than actual fact checking. It is a problem everywhere, I think, along with the reliance on soundbites when one sentence will be taken out of context and viewed as the whole. Media here make a big deal of their First Amendment right to free press but neglect the fact that with that freedom comes great responsibility. We have Fox News masquerading as journalism while operating under an entertainment broadcast license and presenting mostly commentary and not reporting.

      • Sixer says:

        Yes to all you said.

Mind you, when you force balance on broadcast journalists as we do here (not print), you also end up with false balance, where minority extreme positions are given undue air-time because they provide “balance”. But extreme is extreme and consensus is consensus.

Sigh. Everything is pants (as the Sixlets would say).

    • Spittair says:

@Sixer, LOL! Excellent points you guys. I thought it was a very well written article.

    • The Understudy says:

It’s a tremendous article and his retweeteing of it is so very telling. Speculation will always be rife when people do not know the whole truth, where there is a vacuum of fact on a story that is prescient therories will flourish.

Referencing the Hiddleswift phenomenon what do we have that is true, a lot of photos and maybe a possibility of some leaked information from PR teams. We have been so used to celebrities manipulating stories we are inclined to disbelieve even what we see. The Internet has created a platform for so many people to air their own agenda and its up to us now what we choose to believe, who we trust to show us the truth.

Neither Tom or Taylor are ready to actually discuss HiddleSwift and I understand that completely, they seem very unlikely to make a statement to answer so much media speculation. So many fans of his and hers have an insatiable curiosity about the truth of their relationship there is an appetite for anything true or not and this will run on even beyond when one of them does discuss it publicly which ultimately they will be forced to do.

  56. shelly says:

Yep the Guardian are happy to be lax with checking, if a story fits their agenda, the same as every other news outlet.
It was ever thus, but now due to social media, everyone is a “journalist”. Fact checking just gets lost in the ether. So called serious publications are losing their power to influence the narrative to some degree, and they don’t like it.

“A lie can travel around the world and back again while the truth is lacing up its boots.”—Mark Twain.
Truer now than the day he said it.
