Well, it appears that Nick Cannon has switched from one beloved 90s diva to another. The America’s Got Talent host has seemingly moved on since his split from Mariah Carey and was seen getting hot and heavy with TLC’s Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. The two were allegedly caught canoodling at the WDKX Summerfest Concert in Rochester, New York on Saturday night. An event attendee told the NY Daily News that the Chilli, 45, and Nick, 35, are “definitely together,” reporting that Nick, “watched Chilli intensely and lovingly as the group performed, then couldn’t keep his hands off her backstage.”

Nick is keeping a lid on the whole situation. At the premiere of the documentary Gleason in Los Angeles on Thursday, an E! reporter asked Nick about Chilli, and his response was, “She’s amazing. She’s an outstanding person but you gotta ask her what’s going on.” Friends told the network that Nick “always had a crush on her growing up,” so there’s that. He demurred that he wasn’t yet ready to re-enter the dating scene since his split from Mariah, but they’ve been broken up since 2014 and he’s been seen out with other women. You’re plenty ready, Cannon.

Last month, rumors surfaced that Nick was holding up the divorce, but Nick said that was a load of bunk, telling Extra, “There’s nothing to tell…the media has a problem of sensationalism…me and Mariah get along great, and it’s a process, nobody is holding nothing up. Why would I hold it up? I want her to be happy.” The divorce still has not been finalized, but Mariah is engaged to billionaire James Packer, so a resolution should be coming soon. Nick addressed the hold up on Monday’s Howard Stern radio show. When asked if money was the reason that the divorce has not been finalized, Nick said, “There’s no money involved…Honestly, I think its the lawyers trying to get more money.” He went on to say that “Mariah and I are super cool” and on Mariah’s engagement, he asserted once again that “to see her happy is outstanding.” You can listed to the whole clip here, but keep in mind it’s got some NSFW language.

Nick has won me over on America’s Got Talent. He used to drive me crazy (in fact, my ex-husband and I had dubbed the show “Shut Up, Nick Cannon” for his first few seasons as host), but he does interact well with the contestants and occasionally provides some fun backstage commentary. I do miss Howard Stern’s constant ragging on Nick’s romantic situation on the last season of AGT, resulting in one of the funnier moments of the show, courtesy of a self-described “kissing expert.”
