Milo Ventimiglia bares his butt for new series: ‘I’m comfortable with my manhood’

NBCUniversal’s Summer Press Tour - Day 1

It’s August, the kiddies are heading back to school and the networks are frantically trying to get you excited about the fall TV season. NBC has certainly done just that, with the trailer for the new comedy/drama series, This is Us. The series, from the writers and directors of Crazy, Stupid, Love, deals with the stories of a group of people who all share the same birthday and will “challenge your everyday presumptions about the people you think you know.” That’s all well and good, but NBC took things to the next level by opening the trailer for the series with a fleeting glimpse of star Milo Ventimiglia’s butt.

Smart move, NBC, as the trailer has already gotten over 7.3 million views on YouTube. To be honest, I had never heard of the show, but after watching the trailer, I think I’m going to give it a shot. Butt or no butt, it looks pretty damn good. Check it out here, and obviously, it’s a little NSFW.

Fortunately for us, the 39-year-old actor has no problem baring his buns on screen, at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s annual Grants Banquet on Thursday night, Milo told E!:

“It was one of those things [being on network television] I thought no way and I get to my trailer in the morning on the first day of filming and I look at my choices of wardrobe and it’s really not much. There’s tape and there’s like a nude flesh colored thing, like pieces of cloth and tape and I kind of went, ‘OK, alright, cool. I’ve been nude in film before. It’s fine. No big deal. I’m totally comfortable with my manhood and my rear.'”

[From E!]

Mandy Moore, who plays Milo’s very pregnant wife on the show, acknowledged that Milo’s tush has pretty much stolen the show already, telling Vulture at the same event, “I know full well that we’ve all been upstaged by the derriere. And I’m totally fine with it. It’s a really good butt. And I got to look at it for almost a whole day.” Lucky lady.

Milo, who is also reprising his role as Jess Mariano for the upcoming Gilmore Girls reboot, credits his trainer Jason Walsh of Rise Nation for his bodacious bum, telling E!, “He’s my trainer of seven years. It’s a hardworking ass.” One of Jason’s other celebrity clients is Hilary Duff. Those two managed to work business and pleasure together and have been “casually dating” for a few months.

So, yeah, Milo isn’t afraid to show his butt. Is anyone really surprised to hear this? He’s got a very cute butt. But…(see what I did there?), there are lots of actors who don’t feel comfortable being nude on screen and I guess, thank goodness for that? I’m saying this because my guy, Kevin, is auditioning to be a body double for a new TV show this week. (I’d cast him, just saying.) Let’s just say I’ve probably added a new show to my fall TV watching list. Just lose that porn ‘stache, Milo.

i find him hot even with the horrible moustache, it’s the leftover crush from his jess days. i can’t wait for gilmore girls coming back btw.

    • HeidiM says:

I still have leftover skeevey vibes from him dating and practically living with Hayden Panettiere when she was still in her teens. It taints the bum for me.

    • Katenotkatie says:

Ughhh JESS 4EVER. He gets more delicious with age. I only just realized that I probably unconsciously selected my college boyfriend based on his resemblance to Milo…

  2. UCatwoman says:

Well that was a yummy way to start out a Monday morning in upstate New York!!

  3. saltandpepper says:

    Looks like an awesome show!

  4. Nev says:

    Hotness.

  5. The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Well helloooo, my my, time has been good to him.

  6. Moxie Remon says:

I’m fine with the ass but this moustache has to hide from mankind. It looks the same one Luke Evans used on that movie with TH.

  7. Jen43 says:

I have no idea who this guy is, but this show looks good. Best of luck to Kevin.

  8. Naya says:

The buttocks are my least favorite part of the human form. I just hate seeing naked ass. The show looks interesting though.

  9. Kiki says:

My crush is back. I have always love Milo Ventimiglia every since Gilmore Girls and he is looking more handsome than ever. I am having a huge crush now on him again.

  10. pretty says:

oh godd. i had like stomach churning crush for Jess. my god. he was SO HOT that i watched Heroes as well. he is so so beautiful in Heroes, like he’s cute hot in GG but , in Heroes, especially when he cut his hair in season 2…… he is literally good looking, like his face is aesthetically perfection. lol

  11. Erinn says:

Gahhhhh. I love him. I just love him. He was my biggest celebrity crush thanks to Gilmore Girls. 14 year old Erinn was OVER THE FREAKING MOON.

And he’s aging pretty hot. So I have no complaints here.

  12. Olivita says:

I appreciate gender parity in TV nudity. Overall though, I don’t really need to see ANY actor’s butt. It never enriches the show or adds to the plot line in any meaningful way. That said, is anybody else super uncomfortable/exhausted by the seemingly required graphic sex scenes on every tv show??? I mean, I’m all for expression and I’m glad that these things aren’t censored but is it required for every show to have porn level graphic sexual scenes? They make me squeamish AF.

  13. Adrien says:

I used to be a member of a Milo Ventimiglia fan club (just a yahoo group of 7 members, mostly JessMariano-Rory G fans). Then one day, I shifted all my love and loyalty for Jess to Logan Echolls. If there is one actor I would love to do active tv work (no butts required) it would be Jason Dohring.

  14. Mia4S says:

Loved Jess, but the eventual disaster that was Heroes still fascinates me. Tremendously good first season that didn’t so much fade away as dive off a cliff in its second. Complete WTF?!?

  15. Pansy says:

Dang that show looks really, really good! All the storylines look very well developed!

  16. QQ says:

he is SO HOT but SO PROBLEMATIC!

    • elle says:

Do tell… I know nothing about him, other than him being Jess on TGG.

    • HeidiM says:

      ^^^ yeah.

    • QQ says:

Well back in the days there were always stories about how he treated Alexis (when they dated) and assorteds something about how these girls ended being tightly wound behind him, It was always about yelling and unsupportive and that sort of Dickheadishness…. but then he went away, so who knows maybe he grew up?

  17. Laurita says:

    Wow. He is so beautiful.

  18. Lama Bean says:

AND I get a bonus with Justin Hartley? Sterling K Brown isn’t so bad either. Fine, NBC, I’m in.

  19. Neha says:

I love that there are so many Jess fans! Even now, when I watch a scene of GG with Milo, I’m transported back to my 13 year old crazy self, who was obsessed.

  20. elle says:

Milo, I’m comfortable with your manhood as well.

  21. Cee says:

OK so I’m watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix and can I just say I would totally ignore sparkling, spotless, goody Dean for his Jess. Milo for ever.

  22. serena says:

I love him since Gilmore GIrls and I’m really happy about his returning as Jess and this new tv show. And of course, if he wants to show his butt or something more, who am I to complain, really? That seriously made me happy, lol.
