Well this is exciting news, it looks like superhuman sprinter Usain Bolt asked his “First Lady”, longtime girlfriend Kasi Bennett, to marry him. He asked her something, at least, and was so excited she said yes, he posted this to his Snapchat:
This is no surprise, though, right? His sister Christine Bolt-Hylton told us he was likely going to propose after the Rio Games. Now that he blew up the record books once again and retired from the Olympics, he has plenty of time to focus on a life partner and family so this makes perfect sense. Except, well, for all that pesky photographic evidence of him banging everything in lip-gloss from Rio to London following the games.
Usain Bolt has dropped a heavy hint that he is engaged to his girlfriend Kasi Bennett.
Usain, 30, has not commented on his engagement on Instagram, instead choosing to share photos of his idyllic surroundings in Bora Bora.
“Work hard for what u want always #vacation,” he wrote alongside a poolside snap.
The sprinter has been making headlines for his stellar success at Rio this summer. Usain completed the men’s 100m final in 9.81 seconds, taking home gold and becoming the first athlete to win the event three times at the Olympics.
Usain celebrated by partying in Rio, where he is rumoured to have racked up a £6,000 bill in one bar. He was pictured cosying up to different women as he celebrated his 30th birthday, leaving some to suspect that he had been unfaithful to his girlfriend.

We’ve been saying this ever since Usian’s exploits went public: we have no idea what Kasi and Usain’s relationship is. It’s possible that all of his antics have her blessing or that he is the most physical flirt ever and he crossed no lines. I know very little about Kasi other than what I saw on her Twitter and Instagram, she seems a very confident woman with a wry sense of humor. She has not portrayed herself as a victim nor has she directly spoken about Usain’s behavior. To me, this says she’s fine with everything as it stands. In that case, all I have for them is – Best Wishes. I am a firm believer in doing what works for you. In my relationship, I would be very unhappy if my husband carried on like Usain did, but we don’t have an open relationship (I pin a note to his lapel each morning to remind him of that). Perhaps everything is in order in the Bolt/Bennett household. If I were projecting my wishes on them, I hope the open door policy applies to both but who knows, maybe Kasi is just happy for the respite as Usain seems to have an exhaustive amount of energy. Whatever the case, glad these two are getting some down time together in Bora Bora.
