Who wants a third SATC movie after the awful second movie? Carrie has never been my favorite character (Miranda was the best for me), but the last movie completely destroyed her for me. So annoying, so spoiled and out of touch with reality of her friends lives.

Yes, and we’re living in a very different world than we were when that show was on. Going back and watching it… the whole thing seems so self-indulgent. I guess that’s part of the fun for some people, but it just makes me want to smack my TV.

      • PGrant's Girl says:

I actually didn’t love the first movie either (I read somebody describe it as three hours of Carrie whining and acting like an a$$hole, which is pretty accurate!), and Carrie started becoming insufferable a couple seasons before the TV series ended. Please, no third movie! Although I could handle just a Miranda-Samantha buddy comedy.

And that Lainey clip of Robbie Williams putting JT in his place is hilarious.

The second SATC movie wasn’t just embarrassing. I recall it made a lot of racist generalisations about Middle Eastern/Gulf states. It ended with Samantha having sex in public to show what a feminist she is and how “liberated” and “superior” Western values are. I thought that was pathetic (quite aside from conveniently forgetting that you would get arrested for public indecency if you got caught having sex in public in the US).

I would love a third movie. If they would move past the “labels” and boy chasing of the series. Just because they’re all older now doesn’t mean that their stories and lives have ended. It could be a great movie in the hands of the right writer. Someone who understands that they’re all mature women now and not flirty 20 somethings.

For me, the whole series has always been about the love and connection between the characters. And how much they support each other. I don’t see how that is a bad thing.

1.) Yes, Ric Flair is messy. 2.) I think I might still believe him.

    • Incredulous says:

      WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I’d lean towards believing him, too. That or he was drunk and met a look-a-like taken in by his stylin’, profilin’ ways.

  3. chaine says:

“disappointing” is an extremely charitable, generous assessment.

  4. Little Darling says:

Rosamund misses the mark for me with her fashion choices 90% of the time.

  5. Scar says:

Beyoncé being the more successful daughter doesn’t mean she’s the favorite one. If you don’t follow Tina Knowles-Lawson on Instagram I think you should. It gives a little insight to how things really are and she’s very funny.
    You were probably joking

  6. Ilove6kies says:

For the love of God, not another SATC movie….I’m still suffering from second hand embarrassment for the second one till this date!

I have read that Trump has everyone who works for him sign non-disclosure agreements. But if he can’t prove who sent the tax documents, he can’t sue.

  8. Reece says:

    Nope. Nope.

    Nope to another SATC anything.

  9. Dhavynia says:

That Evan Peters clip is hysterical

  10. LMB says:

The dress is not disappointing, it is hideous!!

  11. Jessie says:

If you cropped the pic before the feathers it would be lovely 🙂 I love Rosemund and think she’s an incredible actress, but after Gone Girl she also kinda scares the crap out of me too… She’s like a female Ralph Fiennes 😊

  12. Lady says:

Oh I like her outfit very much! She is such a classic beauty who tries different things. Not as editorial as Diane Krueger- more understated. Both women get my vote for confidence in their choices.

  13. GingerCrunch says:

What news from Kent? (I am compelled to say it whenever the opportunity presents itself)

    • Ladiabla says:

Mine is “what excellent boiled potatoes”
That movie is the best!!! Both Keira and Rosamund were so good as Lizzie and Jane.

  14. what's inside says:

Rosamund, you should fire whoever thought you should wear that outfit. If it was you, then hire a stylist STAT.

  15. EM says:

The outfit isn’t great. It’s straight out of Blanchett’s wardrobe…

  16. Scarlet Pimpernel says:

I was actually at this premier and saw her up close. She really looked stunning and … importantly relaxed and comfortable. Great movie as well – recommend A United Kingdom based on a true story.
