Pres. Obama talks Hillary, Trump, dirtbag friends on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Everyone has been talking about how much we’ll miss the Obamas in the White House, but I’d just like to point out: I’m really, really enjoying Obama’s IDGAF phase. He’s been like this for months! And now that we’re in the home stretch of his final term, Pres. IDGAF is doing something of a farewell tour as he campaigns and hustles for Hillary Clinton. On Sunday and Monday, he was on a swing through California, where he took aim at that sniveling douchebag Rep. Darrell Issa, a Republican locked in a tough reelection bid – Obama slammed Issa hard and it was a beautiful thing. Obama also stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to chat about Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and more.

There are about a million videos for this interview, so I’m just going to do a handful. You can see Kimmel’s YouTube page here. Here’s Obama talking about the Access Hollywood tape and his dirtbag friends.

Obama on term limits and how Michelle would divorce him if he ran for a third term.

Here’s Obama talking about whether he would have liked to run against Trump and how Trump is different/worse than other Republicans.

Obama on how much he trusts Hillary Clinton.

And finally, here’s Obama reading Mean Tweets again. Stick around for the last one, it’s a Trump tweet!

God, I’ll just miss him. I keep saying it but g—damn it’s true. We’re going to miss Obama so much.

There is something extra loveable about President IDGAF 😎

  2. Bichon says:

I love him as Prez, and yes, all of us who are sane and rational and smart will miss the heck out of him.

    • Melly says:

I loved the question about if we could keep Michelle. This country is going to need Michelle to rebuild & come together after this election is over

  3. Jenns says:

Obama’s response to Trump’s tweet, along with the phone drop, might be the best thing I’ve seen all year. I’m going to watch that all day.

  4. lightpurple says:

    The phone drop!

  5. Justjj says:

I don’t want him to go :,( I wish Hillary could appoint him to the Supreme Court. We will really miss him. I hope Hillary continues the idgaf sentiment and when the dems win the senate too she just sticks it to the repubs completely for all their obstructionist antics. Still wish Elizabeth Warren were her VP but oh well, bye Obama! :((( sad times.

    • Kristen says:

But Hillary can appoint him to the Supreme Court! President Taft served as Chief Justice after being POTUS.

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

Hillary won’t be able to appoint anyone unless the senate flips, because the repugnant-cans will continue their tantrums. They don’t GAF that they are hamstringing the SC, preventing it from properly doing its job for the American people – they are not representing the will of their constituents, and should be removed from office. Such shame they bring us, it’s sickening.

      • Va Va Kaboom says:

Please accept this emoji trophy 🏆 as a thank you for introducing the gem “Repugnant-cans” to my lexicon . I’d send you a fruit basket, but strangers requesting your address online isn’t usually well-received.

      • Jaded says:

        Repugnant-cans….mic drop!!

  6. Insomniac says:

Oh, the Trump one. Drumpf probably turned a new shade of orange when he heard that!

Is is just me or is President DGAF starting to look a little younger again?

    • Lama Bean says:

Not just you. He looks less stressed and more youthful and happier. I don’t know about y’all, but Pres. IDGAF is cuter than usual. Plus the salt and pepper hair. Yassss!

  7. Clare says:

Curious to know how many people, who would vote for someone like Issa, do you guys think are listening to the President’s shaming of him and will be swayed by it?
Not being snarky – genuinely curious. I’m happy to see him name and shame folks (like what he said about Rubio, too) but I wonder if it them being criticized by Obama will have any impact on their supporters?

I mean, Issa has made a career out of bad mouthing and roadblocking Obama, why now would his supporters care that Obama called him out?

    • Esmom says:

You’re right. That’s what has become so frustrating in this day and age — people’s absolute unwillingness to listen to an opinion that’s different from theirs. The internet makes it possible to ONLY hear their preferred views vs a more balanced perspective. And with the rise of Trump, people not only don’t/won’t change their minds, they seem to enjoy doubling down on their views, no matter how irrational or hateful.

    • lucy2 says:

You’re right – everyone is preaching to their own choir these days, and no one wants to listen to the opposition.

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

I don’t think any of them will care. Remember, he was a tea party candidate- the darings of the base- and the mentality drawn to the Tea Partiers is the same that is drawn to tRump- stubborn and aggressively ignorant.

  8. wendy woo says:

When I left my current flatmate before I moved out on her the last (and final) time- I entrusted her her with my Obama tapestry cushion. When I moved back in recently, it was gone- thrown out, I assume. This is the only thing I will NEVER forgive her for.

  9. SusanneToo says:

President IDGAF is truly a thing of beauty. Love, love, love this man!!!

  10. vava says:

“I lifted the ban on Cuban cigars, that’s worth something”

LOL……..the guy is great. I wish I was related to him.

  11. minx says:

    Love POTUS!

  12. Rapunzel says:

Obama for SCOTUS. Do it Hillary!

    • Clare says:

Yasss, but on what planet would that every go through congress?

      • SusanneToo says:

A planet with a Dem prez and Dem controlled Senate.
“For the President, the appointment of a Supreme Court Justice can be a notable measure by which history will judge his Presidency. For the Senate, a decision to confirm is a solemn matter as well, for it is the Senate alone, through its “Advice and Consent” function, without any formal involvement of the House of Representatives, which acts as a safeguard on the President’s judgment. This report provides information and analysis related to the final stage of the confirmation process for a nomination to the Supreme Court—the consideration of the nomination by the full Senate, including floor debate and the vote on whether to approve the nomination.”

  13. Jess says:

I had a dream last night that my kids and I got to meet him and Michelle and we told them how much we’d miss them. Now I’m really sad!

  14. JudyK says:

Michelle, I am in love with your dreamy, funny, smart, and articulate husband. Well, I am kinda in love with you, too. So all is good.

  15. Bibi says:

I feel you ladies, l also happen to like a lot our President . Oh, well l could go as far as to say l would have love to meet him …and his lovely wife. Can l say l have a little crush on him? YES, l Can!! My daughter and son will not stop teasing me about my crush, but it’s alright. I mean, l can’t help it…maybe l don’t want to help it 😉 . Now, let’s exercise the right and responsibility of voting. *p.s.-Isn’t Our First Lady an example of what a modern, classy, educated woman is ? Love her also!

  16. Ivy says:

ugh Obama is so special and my favorite part was at the end of his interview when jimmy said he’d miss him, obama said something like “you know….i’m not gonna be dead…i’ll still be around…..and maybe one day i can come back on the show if you’ll let me…”

  17. Nicole says:

IDGAF Obama is my favorite Obama

  18. lucy2 says:

Trump slam + phone drop = PERFECTION. I could replay that on a loop forever.

I really love how the Obama family speaks about each other, and what he said about the daughters sacrificing so much and the family staying in DC for the youngest to finish school.
I also really liked what he said about McCain and Romney, how they disagreed but were honorable guys and he wouldn’t have worried about them having power the way he worries about Trump. That’s how I feel now, I want the GOP to regroup and put up better candidates, so even if my candidate doesn’t win, I won’t be so terrified.
I really do hope, after a nice break, the Obamas stay very involved in public service. We need them!

  19. Kaye says:

That look at the end with the phone drop. I love when the prezzie destroys idiots so totally–that little chuckle of his–magnificent.

He will be missed, Joe Biden too.

  20. Thais says:

It’s so strange to see, as a foreigner, how political people and celebrities behave and do the same kind of PR, in the USA…

    • Justjj says:

This is the idgaf farewell tour of Pres. Obama. I would say most of the time when politicians are in office or running for office they don’t do these kind of talk shows or any mainstream PR type stuff. The Obamas occasionally did things just for fun but they’re really going all in now because they’re just trying to reach people in their last few months in office. Pres. Obama is beloved by lots of people for good reason, it’s just fun for the American people to see them on TV and they know that but it’s not typical behavior for someone in office.
