Here are some photos of Mariah Carey this week, performing in Mexico City as part of her Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour. This is how Mimi wants to be seen – looking like a sparkly diva, being carried around by shirtless hunks. But it does seem like Mariah doesn’t even care if you think she’s gone a little bit crazy following her unsurprising split with James Packer. Mariah and James ended their engagement a few weeks ago, and both sides seem to be leaking damaging information about each other. Her side is that James knew exactly who she was (a crazy diva) when they got engaged, so why is he acting like this is new information? His side is that she was really crazy, and he didn’t want to be on her reality show, and he was sick of the way she spent his money. Now Mariah would like $50 million for all of the effort she’s put into this relationship. But how has Mariah been coping since the split?
In this week’s issue – on newsstands now – multiple sources tell In Touch that Mariah Carey has come unhinged since her breakup with James Packer.
“Mariah’s behavior when it was over was ridiculous,” say a source close to the situation. “She’s gone full diva.”
Her former stylist Phillip Bloch tells In Touch, “She’s a lot to handle. She’s delusional, but that’s OK. It works in her life.” Bloch goes on to say, “She’s like a ride at the amusement park — there’s a lot of turbulence going on there.”
Mariah’s famously gone off the rails before. In 2001, she was hospitalized for two weeks and received psychiatric care following an emotional breakdown. Adds the Mariah insider: “Now that James is out of her life, she’s acting loopier than ever. One minute she’s saying she wants to go to dinner to be seen by her fans, and the next minute she’s complaining that they won’t leave her alone when she goes out.”
I really do think that Packer got a good look behind the curtain and it wasn’t pretty (or sane) and that’s why he bolted. But I’m sure the Mimi fans have other theories. Like, maybe she was just too beautiful, successful, thin and talented to ever be with a man like Packer.
Last week, there was a big to-do about the prenup Packer wanted her to sign. Apparently, it was pretty involved and like 100 pages long, with detailed instructions about gift-giving and jewelry and stuff. Mariah apparently rejected the prenup because it was “tacky and insulting.” Again, she’s trying to get Packer to pay her $50 million post-split. I also find that tacky and insulting.

I am sure she has that body now due to some sort of high quality witchcraft/surgery. She is too lazy to walk let alone work out.

Mariah can do whatever she wants to do. I’m surprised she didn’t demand he send her the basket of puppies that supposedly on her rider.
I just hope her reality show is still coming out. There’s no reason the rest of us should be punished just because the relationship ends.

I just watched a short Instagram video of her concert that she posted. She doesn’t do anything and is basically carried (literally) through it. She just shuffles around. I don’t even think she is singing live. She was my idol growing up. I don’t know what to think about her anymore.
Seriously, what did Packer expect being engaged to Mimi?! She’s been off the bend for years and if NOW he’s only discovering it, then something must be wrong with him. I also find it shady to complain about her spending. She earned her fortune. If Mariah wants to buy perfume made with unicorn tears and rainbow kisses, she can!

When Mariah had her breakdown in 2001, didn’t it turn out that she was under immense pressure professionally and personally – including Mottola’s attempts to undermine her? But this, on the other hand, just seems like Mariah thought she had a billionaire in the bag and just kind of let it go.
“…She’s delusional, but that’s OK. It works in her life.” I have a problem with this. I mean, I think this is the problem. No one in this woman-child’s life telling her to get off her ass and be a grown up. They’re not doing her any favors. Some day, in some way this will all catch up to her. The detriment to her family will be monumental. I sure as hell hope her ex husband is fully hands-on on his children’s lives because they need someone grounded in reality.

i think a lot of them don’t tell her the truth about herself because they’re scared of making of her angry with them. probably quite a few receive money and/work for her, so they’re worried about their finances.
I really don’t understand why she thinks the guy owes her any money. They dated, they got engaged, they broke up. That happens ALL.OF.THE.TIME and normal people don’t demand money after a breakup. You just go your separate ways. Did they ever even live together???
I think she moved for him but still, they weren’t even together for a year. Packer could pay for some movers and that should be the end of it.
I used to find her funny and I thought she was playing a character – but it seems like she is completely cray cray on a daily basis. This is probably what attracts men in the first place – it’s always fun to be caught in a whirlwind, but then once the novelty has worn off, you just feel exhausted and want to get the eff out of this situation.
She is so far gone that I’m pretty sure she will never be able to change.
