Proudly donated to Jill Stein’s campaign.

Same here! Count. I have no real expectation of any change but the federal court has ruled that Wisconsin did really, bad unconstitutional things so its count will be forever suspect.

My friends in the state say there were sooo many fishy issues! Voter intimidation at actual polls, weird mail outs telling people the wrong times and polling stations to be at…it goes on and on. Sigh,

    • SusanneToo says:

Same here. I hope it leads to something.

      • Carol says:

Hubby donated in both our names. I have no problem thinking she can put together a better cabinet in a very short period of time so recount away and take your time to make sure it is right!

    • Rischa says:

Meh. It’s not even being reported on TV over here. It’s a nothing story.

    • jwoolman says:

I pulled out a credit card for the recount fees, too. I’m very glad Stein is doing this – only people on the ballot have the standing, apparently, so she’s one of the few who can do it.

I’m a techie myself and have been worried about those machines since 2004 when they suddenly took over. We need at least paper backup as well as intense nonpartisan monitoring from the very start of manufacture. The machines are vulnerable and the technology for tampering keeps improving.

And recounts should be considered routine. Good grief, if you’re tossing votes in a shoebox for a fifth-grade election you at least count the slips of paper twice…. The candidates could choose to waive the recount if the vote is not close, but the votes in this election have been too close for comfort. They are still counting other types of votes as well.

Granted, my bias this year is that I’m wishing on every star that we could avoid all the problems of a Trump presidency. But the need for routine recounts is ultimately nonpartisan – the Republicans seem to be the major problem right now, especially since Republicans own the factories making most of the machines, but the Democrats could be the problem in a few years.

The three states chosen for the recount demand do have curious anomalies that could point to machine tampering. Either way, we need to know and we need to normalize the idea of asking for a recount.

And she is not going for just a basic recount! She is going further and asking for a “reconciliation of paper records,” which is a full audit. I don’t believe this is going to change anything BUT it will shine a huge glaring light on Paul Ryan and Scott Walker and their crooked dealings and the world will know that they rigged and tampered to take control of this country illegally. I want to drive over to Lexington and give Jill a hug.

Also, Jill Stein is not the only person to have filed for a recount in Wisconsin. Another candidate, Rocky DeLaFuente, of the Reform Party also filed a request for a recount.

HILLARY HAS JOINED THE RECOUNT EFFORT!!!

  6. Christin says:

I cannot recall a time in my childhood and teen years when Florence wasn’t a welcome ray of sunshine on television (either through Brady re-runs or her commercials and TV appearances).

Today did a nice tribute to her and emphasized how humble and nice she was. I did not realize she had been the first female substitute host for the Tonight Show, or that she’d been a ‘Today’ regular (pre-Brady).

  7. Darkladi says:

    RIP Mrs Brady 😢

  8. JustCrimmles says:

Kick rocks, 2016. I never liked the Brady Bunch, but she seemed like a genuinely sweet person. And she was just in a commercial with Traci Ellis Ross. Watch out, Waltons cast 😞

  9. Merritt says:

I was completely stunned to learn that Florence Henderson had died. Just a few days ago she was sitting in the audience for the first night of the DWTS finals.

  10. Tris says:

Reese may have had bum implants, but I doubt very much she had inner thigh implants. Methinks this is just a gal being comfy and not 20.

  11. Nancy says:

Florence was an accomplished singer but will always be remembered as Carol Brady. Lived her life to the fullest, appearing just a few days ago on DWTS. Bless her soul and rest in peace.

  12. smd says:

    2016, what the heck?

  13. Nimbolicious says:

The story of a lovely lady, just like the song said. Humble, talented, kind, never turned down fan requests for autographs or selfies. Funny as hell too; sit down with her and a bottle of vodka and you’d never once stop laughing. I will miss her so…..

I hate this year and everything that’s happened and happening. Can we all just wake up now and say it was all just a really bad nightmare??

  14. JRenee says:

The show is iconic and she always seemed like a class act. May she RIP!

  15. I Choose Me says:

She was by all accounts a truly lovely lady. May she rest well.

Well my sucky November is complete. RIP Mrs. Brady. 😢

  18. minx says:

I always loved FH–she was beautiful and had a great sense of humor about herself.

  19. Rischa says:

Carol Brady was such a great mum. Never screamed or dropped f-bombs or c-bombs when she disciplined the kids, and treated her stepsons as well as her daughters.

  20. jerkface says:

I don’t know man I don’t think I appreciated clicking on that link and seeing witherspoon azz.
Its like a rude rick roll. Surprise, its a butt! lol

  21. Icanbameangrrl says:

Rest in peace Ms. Henderson. She was a regular part of my childhood watching the Brady Bunch. What kid didn’t want to live in that house ? LOL

  22. JudyK says:

Saddened to read of Florence Henderson’s death–such a lovely person, inside and out. Thought she was more beautiful at 82 than in her younger years. Condolences to her family and friends.

  23. susanne says:

Fidel Castro died. I’m not quite calling it a win for 2016, just grateful it wasn’t more horrific news.
