Celebrity Tweets and Pictures: a fun way to waste time or just a waste?

Celebrity Twitter Overkill video by Current.tv

Our friends at PopEater have a feature called “Celebrity Tweets You May Have Missed,” and we thought we might do a similar feature occasionally. There were some interesting Tweets last night from the more connected celebrities. We have some below, with each individual tweet in reverse order so that they make more sense. I’m kind of divided on this issue and am sometimes amused and sometimes bored by Twitter. Are the celebrities tweeting too much or is it all in good fun?

Ashton Kutcher – Hanging with Usher and teaching him to use Twitter
Elisabeth Hasselbeck Elizabeth Edwards’ book made her cry

Demi Moore – Compliments her daughter Rumor Willis’ performance on “Medium,” which aired last night

Nicole Richie – Didn’t like last night’s “Gossip Girl” episode

DJ AM – was scared to fly after the fatal flight from which only he and Travis Barker escaped. Missed a flight, but then got the next one – only to be seated next to Anderson Cooper

Jane Fonda – Hanging with James Gandolfini and Liza Minelli. Fonda is starring in the Broadway play 33 Variations.

Pete Wentz – Complains about getting sent swag, admits he lost an $8k jacket, then admits the jacket was swag. Good thing he didn’t pay for it!

Miley Cyrus – hanging out with producer Adam Shankman, actor Greg Kinnear and a kid she only says is named “Liam.” It’s thought that she had a dinner meeting to plan for her next movie.

Kirstie Alley loves Gossip Girl and decided to use the word “potato” as an adjective throughout the day. At least she spelled it right most of the time.

What a load of crap, no matter whether you’re a celeb or not.
The misspellings alone make me break out in hives.

Ewww, Usher is a complete idiot

After my clueless sister outed some RL info on me on my myspace page, I deleted that and facebook, etc, etc. Twitter sounds cool but I’ll stay fairly anonymous, thank you.

The only twitter worth anyone’s time is Misha Collins. Like today, he spun a wonderful tale about surviving the earthquake by living in an underground bunker with a pony to run on a treadmill to power his laptop. He ended up eating the pony for sustenance. Too silly.

it is entertaining to follow celebs on twitter, but i think its waaaaay creepy for regular people to use it. Who needs to know the personal details of our every move??? and people thought MYSPACE was dangerous? this is a pedophile/stalkers fantasy!! not to mention, if you believe any conspiracy theories about world domination with tracking devices, you know this is not a good thing. Maybe its even run by those people O_o
