Ivanka Trump has hired a Hollywood stylist for her White House makeover

Ivanka Trump And Jared Kushner Take Their Kids Out For Ice Cream In Aspen

Can I just say? I was slightly surprised by the outrage over Ivanka Trump’s new West Wing office. While Ivanka disgusts me and many people, I thought the announcement – that Ivanka would be getting a West Wing office, security clearance and a government-issued phone – would be met with little more than a shrug. But people were really upset. Cosmo wrote a scathing op-ed about it. Former White House employees (Republican and Democrat) were complaining very loudly about it.

So, you would think Ivanka would lay low, not try to force us to accept all of this nonsense. Nope. At it turns out, she’s already preparing to be the REAL First Lady. She’s hired a Hollywood stylist to help her out in the coming months/years. Um, did the stylist pick out the pants in these photos from Aspen????

She may have run her own apparel and accessories company in the pre-President Trump era, but Ivanka Trump is getting a fashion helping hand in her new role as a close adviser to her father. According to sources, the 35-year-old has been working with Cat Williams, a New York-based stylist whose résumé includes a 2.5-year stint with celebrity stylist Micaela Erlanger (Meryl Streep, Lupita Nyong’o) until she recently decided to strike out on her own. (A representative for Erlanger confirmed that Williams no longer works for the stylist; Williams herself did not return THR’s multiple requests for comment.)

Erlanger has also styled Ivanka in the past, according to a 2015 post on Ivanka’s #WomenWhoWork blog; the pair was apparently working together as recently as last May, when Erlanger assisted Ivanka with her Met Gala look. Though she’s currently a Manhattanite, Williams was educated in Australia, where she received a certificate from the FBI Fashion College as well as a bachelor’s degree from the University of Sydney. Prior to working with Erlanger, she held positions at Vogue Australia and Harper’s Bazaar Australia.

Though it’s unclear how long she and the first daughter have been working together, Ivanka has been steadily upping her fashion profile since moving to Washington, D.C. She regularly posts photos of herself in the West Wing — where it was announced Tuesday she will have an office — documenting her new life in the style of a glossy magazine.

[From THR]

Like, of all the sh-t we can and should complain about, I don’t think anyone cares that much about Ivanka’s fashion. I don’t even think she needed a stylist, because if she was styling herself before, she was doing an okay job. The worst thing I could say about her general style is that sometimes she veers into glam-styles for what should be more conservative, business-attire events. Like, don’t wear a slinky cocktail dress to a Joint Session of Congress. But other than that… who cares? Ivanka is deplorable for so many reasons, let’s not focus on her clothes. The larger point of this is, I suspect, Ivanka truly believing that she’s here to stay and that she’s going to be a BIGLY part of her daddy’s fascist regime for years to come.

These pants though. Yikes.

    Can’t stand this twat.

    • Jezza says:

Right??? She’s the worst! Smug daughter-wife bitch!

      • Bettyrose says:

“Daughter-wife”… I feel like something’s crawling on me. I need to shower.

      • Imqrious2 says:

If my father put his hands all over me the way Cheetolini does to her, I’d be living faaaaaaar, far away from that! *shudder*. Now I need that hazmat shower that Cher got in Silkwood 😖

    • DystopianDance says:

Saints preserve us. She’s here in my hometown. It’s mud season and Miss “hobby jobby you’re my nanny” is wearing that cheese ball getup- heels and pastels for a mud day in the mountains. I pay for this BS entourage- the Kardashians of the white house???

  2. Lightpurple says:

Are we paying for the stylist too?

    • Frida_K says:

That was my first thought. I’ll bet we are paying for it.

Although this photo did make me laugh because–if you look at it–it’s got some subtext. “Orange is the New Black” on top, mumsy and inoffensive on the bottom.

I hope that the top half is the way it goes, and she ends up in prison. The woman-of-the-people mumsy aspect is pure cr@p and entirely unbelievable, of course. But if all goes well, she could be put in an orange jumpsuit and locked away at some point. God knows she warrants it.

      *sips tea* *waits*

      • Lightpurple says:

*refreshes your tea. Pours a cup for myself. Wonders if it is too early for vodka?*

      • Frida_K says:

        @Lightpurple–

You know, now that you mention it…vodka is the appropriate drink for this situation. Let’s get started now, just a drop, because it’s going to be a long, long day.

*cheers to the Celebitchy gallery* *gets ready for an interesting day*

      • Mary mary says:

        1. Is a Hollywood stylist for an adult child of the US president necessary?
        2. Who is paying for Ivanka’s Hollywood stylist?
        3. Will the taxpayers end up paying for Ivanka’s stylist?
        4. Had Michelle Obama hired a Hollywood stylist, the Republicans would have been opposed while questioning necessity, cost and pay for this yourself instead of the taxpayers.

Wasting taxpayer dollars, while seniors are going without their Meals on Wheels program, as well as after school meals for school children.

    • Esmom says:

That was my first thought. Somehow I’m sure we are.

      • Lightpurple says:

And I’m not going to take it quietly. I’m writing to my congressional representative about this and the office and the use of White House phones and devices and to my Senators (Katherine Clark, Ed Markey & Elizabeth Warren -so, yes, they listen) but also to the House Oversight Committee and Paul Ryan. They are going to hear how fed up I am with this unethical piece of plastic.

      • bleu_moon says:

Yeah, I’m calling my reps today too. Not that they’ll do anything. I live in a very conservative area and my elected officials are all weasels who probably looooove Grifter Barbie.

      • Original T.C. says:

I’m with @Lightpurple on this. Giving her a position in the West Wing with National security clearance is a big FD. Like even the First Ladies don’t have security clearance to view classified information because they are unelected.

This is about a grifter having info that she can use to blackmail countries into carrying her junk clothes or more Trump eyesore hotels. People work hard to get a job in government with security clearance and have to undergo years of investigation. We know jack about her, her business associates or who she owes money to. Have we not learned anything post Flynn?

    • LahdidahBaby says:

If the stylist had anything to do with those atrocious pants paired with the baggy orange sweater, I nope no one is paying her. If I wore those pants, I’d pair them with a close-fitting black sweater or a plain black leotard. Baggy pants plus baggy top = just no. Especially when the torso is a bit thick, as Ivanka’s is.

  3. Becky says:

Ha ha ha ha ……ha ha ha ha

You can’t wash that stink off with a stylist luv.

  4. minx says:

I cannot stomach this preening, superficial opportunist who thinks she is just so fabulous and stylish. She is using OUR White House to promote herself and her crappy products.

    • bleu_moon says:

      Oh the shade.
“According to the Aspen Daily News, Ivanka went missing years ago while the Trumps were staying at The Little Nell, a five-star hotel. After Ivanka disappeared, the police were called. ‘She was found in another hotel room with a boy,’ the paper reported, quoting an anonymous law enforcement source.”
PS- The Forward is a Jewish news outlet, yet doesn’t seem to have much love for Kushner or Ivanka.
      http://forward.com/fast-forward/366820/gone-girl-ivanka-is-skiing-in-aspen-where-she-once-went-missing/

    • holly hobby says:

Don’t forget she has a book coming out! How much you want to bet she will launch it at the White House?

    • Sarah says:

I have a question: all of my friends where I used to live who are Orthodox Jews don’t wear clothes that show their elbows and knees. Ivanka does formal business meetings with sleeveless dresses, plus her evening gowns are not modest. Does she have special clothing rules??

I despise this woman. I do feel somewhat sorry for her, because the way her father talks about her and touches her in public even (like at the Republican convention) I think she is a victim of, at the very least, emotional incest. But as an adult, she shouldn’t allow it anymore. (the touching)

      • jwoolman says:

Orthodox Jews are not monolithic. The clothing rules they followed in your area are not necessarily universal. Obviously not, actually. You have to distinguish between culture and religion.

  5. Cara says:

Is that Jared in these pics?

    • swak says:

Probably, as he headed to the vacation yesterday or the day before.

      • Red Snapper says:

Jared is hot. That’s right, I *said* it! Don’t judge me!

      • Shambles says:

He looks like Tom Riddle before he was Voldemort. If you’re into that.

      • Kitten says:

        Ugh NO. Not hot.
He’s like a male Becky, the guy you don’t notice because he’s so bland and sexless.

It doesn’t look like he can grow a beard, either, and that’s a nope.

      • Betsy says:

@Red Snapper – he’s got a brother who does not show signs of being evil and supporting fascism.

      • Lucy says:

I think they are both good looking…but really sexless, as Kitten said…like can you imagine them having sex? I can’t.

      • Red Snapper says:

Tom Riddle before he was Voldemort? *DIES!* And, yes. Apparently I’m into that.

      • Millie says:

@redsnapper I personally always had a thing for Tom Riddle. I thought I was messed up and kept it to myself since I never wanted all my friends to judge me (even though they all loved them some Draco). But I have found a kindred spirit in you hahaha.

      • SusanneToo says:

Hot? He reminds me of a Ken doll with the missing balls.

  6. smee says:

Is she using Ronald McD’s stylist bc those pants! And the 90s Gap t-shirt.
I feel dirty even commenting on this bc it gives her and her “family” more undeserved publicity. I hope she’s picking out an outfit for her daddy’s impeachment.
    Yuck.

  7. Loopy says:

I used to think what a breath of fresh air she was, didn’t turn out like the other troubled heiresses stumbling out of clubs and into rehabs Paris,Hilton,Kelly Osbourne,Nicole Ritchie etc, actually went to Uni and was running a legit business, she turned out to be a huge disappointment.

  8. lower-case deb says:

because the first thing you do when you move into a position of power is… hire a stylist?

what about getting tutors that will get you up to speed with law and foreign policy and diplomacy especially if daddy’s gonna stick her next to every other head of state passing through the White House doors?

surround yourself with legitimate scholars, books, librarian (The Librarian of Cogress needs to come visit and bop her upside the head with a big book… maybe proverbially maybe literally)… but eh…

    • Esmom says:

I know, right? The arrogance and ignorance is just unreal.

      • Shirleygail says:

it’s the ignorance of their arrogance that gets me

      • lower-case deb says:

proof wearing too much cheeto dust can harm intellectual and emotional level.

we know that the upper people are disjointed from reality, but it’s really another thing to be reminded how disjointed they really are on real time and with so much impact on our lives.

    • Lightpurple says:

I would suggest the volumes containing the Social Security Act, the Medicaid Act and the Medicare Act, both of which actually come under the Social Security Act, for starters since those are all in grave dangers from her and her father. Or even just the CFRs, even though they’re soft-cover, they’re pretty heavy but easier to grip to hurl.

  9. Indira says:

Ivanka is a dangerous one. She knows exactly what she wants and what daddy’s girl wants, she gets.

  10. Nancy says:

Her smugness oozes through the screen. She got very little of her mother’s traits, she is all Joffrey. If she chose the outfit she is photographed in, a stylist is needed asap. This is so crazy. Can you imagine any other daughter of a president acting as princessy as this twat. Guess this is what white privilege is all about. If he goes down, she goes with him. Fingers crossed.

    • Imqrious2 says:

Actually, I can imagine Chelsea Clinton doing the same thing (and before you jump on me, I DETEST 45, and voted for Hillary). Yes, they’re both smart – you can’t be a dumbass (book wise) and graduate Wharton Business School; I have no doubt Hillary would have Chelsea installed as well. I read that she’s grooming her now for a political position.

      • EbonyS says:

The only difference though? Chelsea graduated with a degree in History and grad degrees in International Relations her thesis a 132-page thesis was titled “The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria: A Response to Global Threats”.

She also got another Master’s in Public Health. If Hillary would’ve installed Chelsea (which I doubt because unlike Trump, the Press would not have allowed it), she 1) Would not have lied about not doing it, like Trump did and 2) She’d be in a targeted position working in public health or international relations.

Ivanka is “the eyes and ears for her father”. Literally. That’s it. That’s her job description.

I would personally prefer it if children didn’t work for their parents in the White House…But much like everything to do with Trump: Taxes, Conflicts of Interest, Transparency, people hold him to one standard and HRC to another :-/

      • Lyla says:

I have a close friend who went to Wharton with Ivanka and the professor made it clear that he had to pass her because of who she is. It’s like how jared’s parents bought him his Harvard degree.

  11. Beth says:

Those pants are bigly bad! Looks like she needs a stylist

  12. Aims says:

Yeah, I could give zero F’s about her personal style . Her father is an a hole dictator who is running this country to the ground . In my local news our deq is laying off a massive amount of people because this dickhead cut environmental services to a bare minimum from the budget . There are so many things that this sub human has done and is doing, that anyone associated with him is the enemy and I have no compassion for .

  13. badrockandroll says:

I never thought that Cosmo would be a good source of thought provoking political insight, but the editorial you cite:
    http://www.cosmopolitan.com/politics/a9161907/ivanka-trump-white-house-office-insult/
    is spot on!

  14. SusanneToo says:

Have they figured out a way to stick us taxpayers with the stylist bill yet?

    • Ophelia says:

Watch them slowly turn this country to a monarchy. Then they can have taxpayers pay for everything, not just stylists! And have peasants Texas Dipping to them as they hand over the last penny of their savings! All the Royal Tweets to be had!

  15. Megan says:

It’s outrageous that she will be working in the White House but won’t be bound by any ethics rules because she won’t be paid. She needs a stylist to make her crappy fashion look good because you know she will be hocking her products from the White House. This is all one giant grift.

  16. QQ says:

ROFLMAO Sis What? These pants??? You think you’re Jackie O? LMFAO you could possibly Never Also a hearty cackle to the stylist being all Uh-Oh and not returning calls and her former employer saying Yep She don’t work here anymore LOLOLOL

    • Kitten says:

That’s some shit straight out of Caldor’s circa 1992.
      Seriously terrible outfit.

      • susanne says:

Caldor’s…heh. Blast from the past, and right on.
The piece that burns me is that she will not be held to ethics…a moot point, as her father doesn’t seem to be bothered with them, either.

  17. perplexed says:

I don’t know if taxpayer money is going towards paying for her stylist, but if it is, I can see why people would talk about it. Well, I can see why people would talk about it otherwise. A big part of being First Lady, if you’re on the youngish side, is fashion, and if she’s gunning for Melania’s job, we might as well make fun of her fashion sense (maybe such talk would hurt her business brand).

I don’t mind making fun of her in any capacity, even if she is paying for her own stylist. The smug emanating from her family is too much!

  18. Froggy says:

I’m not asking this as a Trump supporter (I’m not) but out of curiosity. If Hiliary won, wouldn’t Chelsea be playing a big part in her administration?

    • minx says:

I doubt Chelsea would be moving into an office in the WH. Part of Ivanka’s job, IMO, is to be close at hand to regurgitate information and explain things to her dimbulb father. Hillary could figure things out all by herself,

    • perplexed says:

I think Huma Abedin would have been Hillary’s top aide.

And, of course, Bill would have been the First Gentleman, inspiring men’s fashion. I don’t think Chelsea would have been gunning for Bill’s job. And I don’t think Chelsea’s husband would have been gunning for Hillary’s job either.

  19. Disco Dancer says:

Never thought I’d give Trump credit for anything BUt at least he makes it obvious that he’s an evil POS. Ivanka is the real snake in the grass here- she tries to appear sophisticated, good hearted, family oriented feminist. But she’s just as evil, greedy and intellectually void as her lover/daddy Donald
Trump (I firmly believe Ivanka and Daddy Trump have done things that fathers and daughters don’t do with each other). Look at this C U NEXT TUESDAY frothing at the mouth at being given a formal
    Role at the White House!

  20. Nacho_friend says:

Maybe get some education with that money instead. But looking good is more important right? Ignorant twat

  21. oce says:

Ivanka just revealed her cards – she is SO obvious. I called the following:
-Trump would win against HRC (I live in NYC, grew up in OH and go back often to campaign)
-That Melania was moving to DC this summer (and that Ivanka is behind those nasty leaks)
-Ivanka’s new role is really POTUS-in-training.
Ivanka is not planning on JUST being the pseudo-first lady (especially with Melania coming), she is planning on being the Top Lady, the First Female President of America.
That’s the current dog and pony show. Baby Fists is grooming her now: she will get a clearance + POTUS advisor role + owning a cause (women issues in the workplace) + top access to what/whom truly runs America. Just wait for her announcement years from now

    #MyPredictionsAreAlwaysRightEvenWhenIWishIWasWrong

    • minx says:

Her problem is her name. And I mean Trump, not Kushner.

    • justine says:

Gosh i sadly think you nailed it 🙁

    • perplexed says:

I hope she realizes she’ll actually have to win an election.

I think she’s a little too smug to ever be capable of winning an election. Her dad is rude and obnoxious, but even he doesn’t seem this smug (er, I don’t think).

    • Lightpurple says:

And if workplace issues for women deteriorate under her policies, and they will, well, she won’t own anything

    • addie says:

After the farce is over, the word Trump will be officially toxic. No-one is going to vote for Princess Plastic. Daddy’s supporters will have either died because they lost healthcare or be too angry to be fooled again by another Trump. I’m hoping they feel the metaphoric noose tightening around their necks, and start to panic as all unravels. That will be fun to watch.

  22. punkprincessphd says:

Anyone else relishing the delicious irony of Ivanka hiring someone who has previously styled Meryl “over-rated” Streep?

  23. alternative fact says:

I don’t hate her outfit, but I do loathe the fact that she’s in my state right now.

  24. Her H!gn3ss says:

The TRUMPS are fast becoming our modern day Kennedy Camelot clan

    • holly hobby says:

Are you saying this with irony?

    • Ashamed 2 b a Fl girl says:

I think, the trumps are only like the Kennedys in that there are a lot of them to keep track of. The Kennedys were and still are, about public service. The trumps are about personal gain and not. one. other. thing.

  25. Giddy says:

But will she get to use Melania’s White House “glam room”? inquiring minds need to know so that they can go throw up.

    • Ashamed 2 b a Fl girl says:

Ivanka has her own glam room at her little house down the street and apparently can’t even show up at the WH without a glam squad to make her look presentable. I worked for 44 years and managed somehow to put on my own clothes and make up.

      barf.

  26. Eric says:

Those “so-called” pants! DISASTER! Those pants would fit COMEY, who I know very well! He likes me! Bigly SAD that I’m being investigated! UNFAIR! Did nothing wrong! FAKE NEWS! That FACE and BODY in those “so-called” pants is tremendous! You know, if I wasn’t married and she wasn’t my daughter…

  27. tw says:

Hasn’t this family done enough to damage our relationship with Orange?!?!

    • honeybee blues says:

And now I can’t ever un-see those images of blatant denim abuse. THIS is why we need an actual Fashion Police. That sort of fabric abuse just shouldn’t be allowed. It just shouldn’t.

    • Snowflake says:

Omg, those are hideous! And over $300! Wow.

And we thought Kate and William were work shy? Baby fists goes on weekend breaks for his golf and his heir apparent and as someone above rightfully said Ken doll with missing parts now have time to jet off!!!! Trump and his family and all his sick cronies are disgusting jerks.

  31. JRenee says:

Whatever lies and ties her dad has, I hope she’s caught in the net when he’s exposed. She complicit and not an innocent. She is beyond taking advantage and should not be granted security clearance, nor an audience with the WH guest, world leaders. All of them are shafting the American public. She just does her grifting with a quiet smile.

    • jwoolman says:

Well, to be fair, Steve Bannon got a security clearance. I keep asking “how???” with no response yet. So they must be handing out clearances like candy, considering his history of state-destroying beliefs and comments in writing and in person. I can see Ivanka getting a clearance with no trouble (I think I even had one once to work at a national lab when I was in college), but Bannon’s is just baffling.
