Eric Trump: My dad’s Syrian missile strike proves he’s not Putin’s puppet

Donald Trump Holds A Press Conference At Trump Tower

Generally speaking, I feel like we have enough disgust to go around with regards to Bigly Trump, Empress Bigly (Melania), Precious Ivanka and Jared Kushner. Jared, Bigly and Precious Ivanka are the ones in DC. They’re the ones making all of these awful choices. So I tend to ignore the Trump sons, Eric and Don Jr. They also seem like awful people, of course, but they’re in New York, allegedly “running” the Trump empire. But Eric and Don Jr. are also jelly of all of the attention Precious Ivanka and Jared get, which is why they give interviews about their father and politics in general. They seem to be asking: Daddy, do you still love me? The answer is no. Daddy never loved you. Anyway, Eric spoke to the Telegraph and his comments are going viral. Some highlights:

Eric on his father’s belief in the military: Mr Trump’s son Eric, 33, who has taken over the running of his father’s property empire with his brother, Donald Jnr, warned Mr Putin his father was “deeply committed” to building what could be the world’s largest ever peacetime military force as he is a “big believer” in Ronald Reagan’s philosophy of achieving peace through strength.

Eric on his father’s previous statements about being friendly with Putin: Eric Trump said his father was merely arguing that the US should try to be “best friends with other superpowers” if that was possible and described allegations of links with the Russian regime as “ridiculous”. He said: “If there was anything that Syria did, it was to validate the fact that there is no Russia tie. If they disrespect us and if they cross us, fine. There will be no one harder – he has got more backbone than anybody. We’re no worse off than we were before. Maybe we’re finding that we can’t be.”

On Putin’s threats of escalating the Syrian conflict: “[My father] is not a guy who gets intimidated. I can tell you he is tough and he won’t be pushed around. The cards will shake out the way they do but he’s tough.”

On the Syrian chemical attack: Mr Trump said his father was “deeply affected” by the television images in the aftermath of the Syrian chemical attack of children being “sprayed down by hoses to keep their skin from burning.” The businessman, whose wife is pregnant with their first child, said: “It was horrible. These guys are savages and I’m glad he responded the way he responded.”

On Ivanka’s influence: “Ivanka is a mother of three kids and she has influence. I’m sure she said ‘listen, this is horrible stuff.’ My father will act in times like that.

His dad wasn’t “anti-intervention”: “And by the way, he was anti doing anything with Syria two years ago. Then a leader gasses their own people, women and children, at some point America is the global leader and the world’s superpower has to come forward and act and they did with a lot of support of our allies and I think that’s a great thing.” Mr Trump rejected claims his father had acted impulsively after seeing the images, saying the President was “a great thinker, practical not impulsive.” He added: “I’m proud he took that action and believe me he thinks things through.”

[From The Telegraph]

“If there was anything that Syria did, it was to validate the fact that there is no Russia tie.” The Trump family is so subtle, right? YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO SAY THAT OUT LOUD. You’re not supposed to come right out and say that your daddy launched 60 Tomahawk missiles into a country just to prove that he’s not Putin’s puppet. And you’re especially not supposed to say that considering that the Trump administration GAVE RUSSIA A HEADS UP ahead of the missile strike!! Putin literally knew about Bigly’s missile strike before CONGRESS. If anything, Trump’s reaction to the Syrian conflict has ended up proving that Donald Trump is scared sh-tless of his puppet-master Putin.

    Exactly what you said, Kaiser.

“If there was anything that Syria did, it was to validate the fact that there is no Russia tie.”

And if there’s anything you just did, it was to validate the fact that the Syria strike was planned by your stupid father and Putin to deflect attention away from the growing Russia scandal, using human lives as pawns to do so. Good job, Eric.

Daddy wasn’t there… to take me to the fair…

They seriously think we are all as stupid as they are. Someone needs to put a muzzle on this one. He is extra stupid.

    • NotSoSocialButterfy says:

My 16 year old sons came home from school, concerned about this whole thing, and I think I soothed them somewhat by reinforcing this exact notion. They then wondered aloud about impeachment, and i had to reply, “Patience, Grashopper!”

    Monica Geller: “I’m breezy.”

    Everyone else:…

“My Dad is a great thinker…”

If anyone needs me, I’ll be over in the corner laughing myself to death.

And he loves nepotism. Probably because without it he’d be flipping burgers.

And thanks to nepotism he has time to kill endangered species.

It is like father like son. Dump senior would not be anywhere without Fred Trump’s money and Dump Jr. would not be anywhere without the bloody casino and Russian money that this family has been laundering through the company for about a decade.

  4. Lama Bean says:

There is a reason Jared and Ivanka–not Eric & Donnie jr–are in the WH. Butthead has never really struck me as genius material.

    • Lisa says:

I really wouldn’t call Jared and Ivanka genius material either. The Kushners are only there to distract everyone from the Orange Disaster and hopefully make him appear more palatable to middle America. I understand that Ivanka has lots of fans and that some people consider her “classy”. (Huh?) Constantly posting pictures of her kids is part of the con too. Uday and Qusay are simply not PC enough to pass the sniff test IMO.

      • Lama Bean says:

I totally agree, but I also think they are his handlers. They cover for his mental illness/dementia.

    • NotSoSocialButterfy says:

Oh, good god, he is such a cretin.

  5. Lightpurple says:

Oh, Qasay, Daddy called Putin and got permission before he called Ryan and McConnell, the people he was supposed to call to get permission. And Quasay, Assad has used chemical weapons on his own people before. He did so several years ago and Daddy insulted Obama for wanting to do something. Stop lying

    • burnsie says:

Exactly! Uday and Qusay (Don Jr. and Eric) need to go back under the bridge they crawled out from under

    • NotSoSocialButterfy says:

Be careful! I used those terms for them months back and someone jumped down my throat, complaining that there was no comparison. “Just you wait”, I essentially said.

  6. Ebon says:

Lol he is such a joke

  7. Sadezilla says:

Eric, homey, you’re cementing your rep as the Slow One. All I can say in response to the Syria bit is CACKLE.

Kaiser, you’re killing me. “The answer is no. Daddy never loved you.” Correct.

  8. original kay says:

trump is again provoking NK , god help us all. NK is not afraid of the US- at this point, is any country?

Agree this whole bombing was a charade to deflect. Every morning it’s something new, something else 🙁

    • JaneFr says:

I wouldn’t say that my country, France, is afraid of the US, but I definitely can say that a lot of French are afraid of the consequences we, as in the rest of the world, may/will have to pay for Trump’ US actions.

  9. PunkyMomma says:

So this nimwit confirms that Complicit is indeed the Cheeto Whisperer. Nice.

  10. adastraperaspera says:

Keep telling yourself that, Eric. You’ll need something to parrot at the other inmates to make yourself feel better.

  11. lisa says:

I dont even understand why he is speaking, even in his own ridiculous family no one cares

  12. minx says:

    He is, um, unfortunate looking.

    • Aiobhan Targaryen says:

He looks like a taller version of Jonah Hill.

I think I kind of just insulted Jonah. I apologize for that.

  13. Franny says:

Why the hell would Putin know about the plans before Congress? Did Trumputin have an agreement not to bomb the location too hard to do any real damage? Assad was flying planes out of there soon after, so it’s likely.

    • NotSoSocialButterfy says:

tRump was required to seek authorization from Congress, which he did not do. What does that tell you? Apart from the fact that the lunatics are running the asylum?

  14. kimbers says:

Trump sons are hilarious. I almost feel sorry for them. Ummmmm isnt it interesting that the bombing didnt actually do anything since they’re still using the air field and jets have been seen there.

It’s almost like they got a heads up huh? or this bombing was just for appearances and to get us thinking trump isn’t the Putin sucker we know him to be.

  15. Who ARE These People? says:

And we thought Dubya had daddy issues…

  16. Aiobhan Targaryen says:

No, it does not validate any lies you are trying to spread that father Dump is not a Russian agent. In fact, it makes it worse given how he warned the Russians and Syrians before hand and not one missile actually did ANYTHING of significance to the Syrian base or Assad. They were flying on that field the next day.

What is worse is the Syrians getting their hopes up for nothing. They want a true intervention to stop the killing but the Dump administration has all but said that there is a line that they will and won’t cross: chemical weapons are very bad but barrel bombs, grenades, tanks, shooting from the air is fine. This is posturing at its most ineffectual and expensive finest. And a lot of people are eating it up as if he did something to help them. Fireworks don’t stop murderous thugs from being murderous thugs. It makes them more creative to see how far they can push you until you make a mistake for them to take advantage of you.

  17. Rapunzel says:

The slow one should have said, “no puppet, no puppet. You’re the puppet”

That, as we know, is the only effective response.

  18. Abbess Tansy says:

I think Tweedledum and Tweedledumber should stay quiet lest people figure out they’re like the scarecrow from OZ.

  19. Who says says:

Why is it acceptable from this Congress to let the Presidency run like a family business. What happened to checks and balances. I go back and forth on this, should we call forth the 25th Amendment, but I am not so sure Pence will be any better as President. Please email, write or call your Congressman and Senators and let them know that how Trump runs his office is not acceptable. Who the President surrounds himself with, his advisers, are very important to this country and the world.

    • NotSoSocialButterfy says:

The short answer is that it isn’t acceptable, but the thirst for power and money by members of the GOP ( and yes, there are some corrupt dems, as well, but a fraction of the amount, I suspect) for at least the last two decades has laid to waste any remaining desire to serve the country.

  20. Karen says:

Next move from Trump will be starting WWIII with Russia- just to prove he has no connection to Russia? Or what? Also he took the decision to bomb sovereign country because his daughter was sad over the photos? Wow….

  21. Lightpurple says:

In honor of National Pet Day, people on Twitter are posting pictures of this one and the other posing with exotic animals they killed and sending them to Ivanka

  22. Grey says:

I keep hearing that the Syria pictures were moving for the Orange One and also Ivanka. So if someone showed them pictures of children being shot in America at a school, would they be “moved” to change gun laws? Actual question, not sarcasm.

    • TheOtherOne says:

Nope. You can’t launch tomahawks against US citizens….yet, considering this administration.

    • SusanneToo says:

Not a snowball’s chance in hell. Some nutcases on the right just know that Sandy Hook was a hoax designed to take away their guns.
Republicans are owned lock, stock and barrel by the NRA.

  23. lyla says:

    from subtext to text.

this one is not too bright, is he? well, none of them are bright (unless we’re talking about the radioactive orange glow drumpf has).
