A couple of weeks ago, there was an ultra-rare sighting of Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx out together. An Instagram user snapped a photo of them out to eat together in New York, and it looked like Jamie was trying hard to be undercover as he was wearing a hat and sunglasses inside. It was obviously them though, and my heart leapt a little at the thought that they’re still together after all these years and rumors. I just went through our archives and we first heard about the two of them together back in the fall of 2013! Then, in March of 2015, Us ran a cover story about their relationship and for proof they had a blurry faraway photo of the two holding hands. Jamie denied they were together though, with Jamie’s rep saying they were “just friends.” Last year, Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Claudia Jordan, a friend of Jamie’s, confirmed that he was with Katie but then quickly backtracked and issued a statement that she was wrong and had no insider information. We heard they broke up this fall, but then they allegedly took a romantic getaway to Mexico in December. So whatever is going on, they didn’t want to make it official and it’s been years. Oh it’s important to mention to that there’s speculation that Katie’s divorce settlement with Tom Cruise stipulated that she not go public with a new relationship for a certain number of years. US, which has had the exclusives on these two all along, now claims that they’re about to go public as a couple. Yes!
Though they’ve been exclusive for years, explains the source, Holmes, 38, “used to be super worried about public attention.” So much so, that Foxx, 49 (he lives in L.A.), and Holmes (she splits her time between L.A. and NYC with daughter Suri, 10) have dodged paparazzi with elaborately planned meetings. Among them: a jaunt to Miami for New Year’s 2017 and a private Mexico getaway for Holmes’ birthday in December.
“To make it impossible to get photo evidence that they are together, they traveled in cars with tinted windows and took secret back elevators,” shares a second insider. “They had it down to a science.”
It proved to be exhausting. Now says the first source, “Katie is tired of playing the hiding game.”
On Sunday, April 2, the day before the Oscar-winning entertainer flew to Budapest to film Robin Hood, he and the actress (she was previously married to Tom Cruise from 2006 to 2012) dined out in the open at an NYC restaurant.
There’s more to come. Notes the pair’s pal, “They’re going to go out to dinner more and are talking about a trip to Europe.”
I really hope that Us has good sourcing on this story and isn’t just basing it on the new photo of them together. Us was recently bought out by another company so there’s a possibility they’re playing faster and looser with the gossip than we’re used to. I just looked it up and rumor had it that there was a five year “no new relationships in public” clause in Katie’s divorce, which would make this timely because Katie divorced Tom in 2012. Us is saying that Jamie was the one who wanted to keep it quiet, but I can see both of those situations being true – Jamie didn’t want the attention of a celebrity relationship and Katie was legally obligated to keep it undercover. Scientology has lost its power and she probably isn’t afraid of having their goons follow and surveil her, the cult just doesn’t have the influence and reach it did five years ago. I hope Jamie is able to commit though and I doubt that this has been an exclusive relationship on his part for three and a half years, but maybe. We’ll see!

I’ve been one of the ones who believe they’ve been together for a few years. Why else would Katie have shown up at RDJ’s 50th birthday bash. RDJ and Katie or not friends but he and Jamie are close.
RDJ and Katie knew each other because they were in two movies together. So that’s not entirely accurate.
I don’t really care about either of these two on their own but the idea of them in a relationship always thrills me a little. It just seems like a random coupling but I can see them really clicking with each other.
This is such a fantastic couple. It’s so unexpected but it works so well! I’m happy for them!
I know nothing about Jamie Foxx’s personal life but why would it be a surprise if they’d been exclusive for over 3 years? They seem like an unlikely couple at first glance but apparently they were committed enough to play a masterful game of hide and seek for something like 4 years. It takes some work and planning.
Katie looks a lot like the mother of Jamies older daughter, her name is Connie Kline. White woman with a light complexion, dark hair and big eyebrows.
Mrs. Kline has also always been very private so I am not surprised.

She’s the dullest celebrity I’ve ever come across (even before Cruise came along) and he’s a misogynist. So I’m perfectly happy with them staying quiet and not subjecting us to more of themselves.

Or how about the time he used a presenting gig to talk about how he leered at Beyoncé backstage and then apologised to Jay Z (not Beyoncé), and started talking about how all pregnant women wish they could bounce back like that.
And I just realised I’d blocked all his homophobic and transphobic ‘jokes’ from my memory, but there’s that too.

I think this relationship is great. But what I think is more important is the statement that Scientology has lost its power. In many ways I think this is true, due to the courage of those who have spoken out about the abuses of that “church”. So kudos and good luck to Katie, who escaped with Suri. Well done.

gossip cop has just denied us story A mutual friend of ours and Holmes confirms to Gossip Cop it’s simply “not true.” And a Foxx pal echoes the same sentiment that an impending announcement is “not true.” The actor and actress aren’t “making it official,” as the article’s headline states, and the assertion otherwise is entirely false. Reps for both stars didn’t comment.
This is the most unlikely couple to me.
I would love it if they are together. It had to be rough, living with Cruise and I don’t see Cruise as being sexual. So I hope her and Jamie are getting it on!

I read (on the Internet, so you know it’s true) that it was part of Katie and Tom’s divorce settlement — that she couldn’t go public with a new romance for 5 years.
This was debunked by Gossip Cop. I think Jamie Foxx would rather anything than go public. I hope Katie finds someone great. I just get the feeling Jamie swings for both teams and will continue to play the field than settle down.
I still don’t know if they are dating. I have a hard time believing that they were in a relationship for 3+years and only one photo as “proof”. Besides they have kids. I have a hard time believing that they, especially Katie, would keep a huge part of their life secret.
I think people are dumb enough to believe anything if you repeat it often enough.
Its amusing people believe this at face value despite both of them denying it for years and you rarely if at all see them together.
Yet Suri Cruise was a fake baby despite the fact she still exists nearly 11 years later.
I think they’re just preparing the public for more sightings and it’s a leak from their teams though they deny it’s true. It’s just conditioning people to not make a fuss.
This would have merit if this rumor wasn’t around for the past 4 years though.
Why would people make a fuss at this point unless its about the interracial aspect of it all.
