Not that surprisingly, celebrities haven’t exactly been voicing their sympathies for Perez Hilton in his whole Will.I.Am punching debacle. It seems to have less to do with the actual incident itself and more to do with who Perez is on the whole – and the kind of website he runs. Lots of celebs aren’t fans of blogs, but Perez is the only one (at least that I’m aware of) who does things like drawing lots of pictures of penises going into Fergie’s mouth, etc. There’s a distinct meanness – not to get all high and mighty, because I have certainly been mean to celebrities. Anyway, Perez isn’t getting any celeb support – and he hasn’t helped his case with all of his angry hysterical videos either.
Kelly Clarkson was interviewed by Virgin Radio’s Billie, and Kelly had a hard time not laughing at several points when talking about the Perez drama.
Kelly Clarkson has said that she was unsurprised to hear that Perez Hilton was allegedly punched by will.i.am’s manager.
The ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ singer told AstralRadioToronto that she thought such an incident would have occurred sooner.
Clarkson said: “I’ve got to be honest with you, he’s going to get a lot of flowers. I’m not talking about Perez – I mean the manager.
“I do not think violence is the answer, but what did you expect? You can’t say that much crap about people without having to take something.”
She added: “No-one deserves to be punched in the face but it’s expected. I’m surprised it hasn’t happened already. I hear that he’s mean to celebrities’ kids.
“You’re hurtful to children, no-one’s going to pity you. I don’t think anyone should be punched and I’m not about violence but I see why someone would do it.”

The same radio station – and same deejay – had a phone interview with Perez earlier that morning and she came across as being sorta sympathetic towards him, in a dry way. Like she’d say, “Oh honey I’m so sorry,” but her tone was completely flat. But she didn’t call him out on anything. Perez also starts crying really self-indulgently near the end of the interview, and it sounded like he was very poorly faking it to me. It was really awkward and they had to end the interview. Obviously Perez is getting a lot of drama and attention from this, which is what he wants. And I’m sure he’s getting a lot of extra site traffic. He’s going to play this out as long as he can, even though I can’t imagine what’s left to say.

I wish people would stop going to his site, it’s just awful. He;s like the heidi and spencer of bloggers. And it’s not like it’s particularly funny or smart. It’s just stupid. Lowest common denominator. It just makes me sad to think so many people read it, it’s a sad commentary on people these days.

lala–actually he hasn’t really had it out for Kelly–he could have really ranked on her due to her recent weight gain,(which I don’t judge her for but I’m sure Hollywood does) but I don’t think he has, maybe one or two fat outfit comments, but it could be a lot worse

And so I will address those questions regarding the actual word used and sum it up simply
It’s a bad word because it’s meant to be a derogatory word towards homosexual people. It’s the gay equivalent for the N word to some people.
As for every gay I know using it, yea, you’re right, a lot of my boys say it, but they say it in jest usually. Kind of like a little poke at each other. But Perez used it with the intention to hurt, he even admitted as such.

Unfortunately his site is VERY popular amongst teens and adults who still act like teens, hence it is consistently ranked number one since 2007. A lot of celebs kiss up to him hoping to avoid outright harassment via his site. Others disdain the guy and avoid him at all expense. It’s really hit or miss who he decides to target. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of rhyme or reason why he targets certain people, but if he decides he’s going to pick on you watch out because he is going to make your life miserable. I suppose he was picked on as a kid in school and this is his opportunity to unleash it all on others.
Currently his favorite celeb is Lady GaGa, so that says something about his taste.

I think he makes around half a million a year, more or less. Sell adevert space of products or promotions on your site depending on traffic. my man runs his blog (server support) and makes around $4 bucks a month from it.

I stopped going to his site a few months ago. Removed it from my blogroll. Used to go a couple times a day. It was after he started taking shots at Miss California. Didn’t like his attack.
After this… I’ll never go back. I hope his 15 minutes of fame are up…

I really wished this incident happened a few weeks earlier. I hated the way he went after Miss California. She didn’t say the F word! She just didn’t support gay marriage. When did the f word rise to the level of the n word? I used to use the word but never as a put-down or in a negative sense, it was just a homosexual nickname if you will. Of course I don’t use it now. Why is it still okay to refer to female friends of gay men as fag hags?

I just wonder how he thought that a so-called “thug” was going to respond to being insulted- no matter the slur? When I’ve felt intimidated by someone, the last thing I’ve done was add fuel to the fire by calling him/her names. Stupid.
