Beyonce and Jay-Z attended the Saturday night NBA Playoff game between the Warriors and the Pelicans. I know Beyonce is a big fan of LeBron James AND Steph Curry, so it was a bit surprising to see her at the Warriors game and not the Cavaliers’ game on Sunday? Hm. Maybe it was just a travel thing, or a date-night thing. Bey and Jay did leave the kids at home, and Beyonce ended up posting some lovely photos of her date-night ensemble, which is very cute.
This dress is a $895 Balmain piece from one of the latest collections. Beyonce rarely (if ever?) hashtags the designers in her social media posts, but I think her favorite designers are often given permission to confirm that she’s working with them, or that they can speak about her in some way. I actually didn’t realize this was Balmain, because I’m used to Balmain looking less… ‘80s?? I’m pretty sure Madonna wore a version of this in 1985.
Also: it’s interesting that she’s wearing Balmain because… we’re now a week away from the Met Gala. Beyonce and Jay-Z have skipped the past two Met Galas. Will they show up for this one, considering it will probably be less Instagram-model-heavy? I mean, Amal Clooney is one of the co-chairs. The theme of this year’s Met Gala is “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.” Bey could do a lot with that.

She does! But then she always does. She also looks kinda pissed though. I’d be wearing jeans, tennies and a jersey to a basketball game that’s for sure. Of course, I’m not Beyonce. 🙂

I think she looks gorgeous in the face and her body is banging but that dress is a big ol’ NO for me.
Balmain is so 80’s at the moment. You should see some of their other dresses. Huge shoulder pads and big buttons.

I’m glad she chose to see the Warriors as opposed to the Cavs. We have enough diva drama as it is. Her dress is odd, like she’s wearing a huge bandage or something of that nature. But, you’re so beautiful Beyoncé. Give us a little smile!!

Doesn’t matter. Just weird to me. I’d guess the posters saying she had a banging body or hot or stunning bod to describe a woman sounds more like a man’s comment. Blame it once again on my hormones in overdrive. (for the record, I really didn’t want her at the Q, enough BS with Kardashian here, hopefully gone soon).

Yup, same. She has SUCH an amazing body. The dress isn’t my favorite at all, but I don’t really hate it either.
I feel like it’s kind of Flash Dance meets Yeezy- athleisure inspired fashion. Not a fan, but she looks beautiful otherwise.
Hnn, honestly, I think this is one of her better outfits. The random left extra sleeve is the one thing I could do without, but that’s easily covered up by the coat. It’s nice to see her with less intense eye makeup. She has a very pretty eye shape, and this lighter look lets it show more.

I miss her real face
The dress is ok, but I’m loving the coat and bag. She looks great.
Oooh, I like this. Her look is young and fashionable. She often dresses too much like her mum wants her to. That ages her. This, on the other hand, could be worn by Rihanna.
Beyonce skipped the last Met Ball because she was super pregnant with twins (and it wouldn’t have been a good idea anyhow after postponing Coachella). She was at the one before that – it was the weird latex dress. She’s a pretty regular attender of the Met Ball.
Unlike Rihanna, who seems to have real fun while being whackily overdressed, Beyoncé here makes the whole thing feel contrived. She is gorgeous though.
