I can’t remember the last time a celebrity dated a woman who was so universally mocked for her looks as has been the case with Kanye West and Amber Rose. You know, the almost-bald girl he’s been on and off with for a few months. She wears absolutely ridiculous outfits – and not in a Lady Gaga/I’m creative and weird (you could argue) sort of way. Amber Rose wears them in a desperate for attention whatever it takes way. From the neck down she isn’t all the bad, but come on – what is going on with this girl’s face? I’ve never understood what the deal is with that. Yes, I demand an explanation for her face.
But apparently I’m the only one, because Amber Rose now has a modeling contract – with a legit (even enviable) agency. Apparently hair like moldy peach fuzz will get you everywhere.
KANYE West’s girlfriend, Amber Rose, has found herself some gainful employment — the bald-headed model announced on Globalgrind.com that she just inked a deal with the Ford agency. The contract, Rose writes, is “proof that when you work hard, good things do happen.” At least to people with powerful friends: We hear Rose linked up with Ford after her pal Russell Simmons introduced her on the phone to former Ford Models CEO Katie Ford.

Yes, when you work hard dating Kanye West and pal around with his pals, good things will happen. I can’t even begin to guess what’s going on with this girl or how she got a contract if Kanye didn’t pull more strings than a marionette. Is she really that close with Russell Simmons? What’s wrong with Russell’s vision? I’ve stopped asking Kanye to get contacts, but now I’m thinking both of them need to pony up the $329 per eye and get Lasik.
Now I’m going to go stand in front of the mirror and reassure myself this was all okay because I’m so perfectly pretty.

This lady truly annoys me if only for the simple fact that she gets all this attention for being 1st a video “ho” and 2nd Kanye’s arm candy. Amazing what peddling your a$$ will get you nowadays… I guess that 4-yr degree isn’t really necessary anymore as long as you have T & A. SHEESH!! *rolls eyes*

I think she is GORGEOUS!!!! She is different and unique and that scares people!!!! I like it that she does her own thing and doesn’t conform.
OH!! She’s TOO curvy to be a model?? When are we going to get over that theory!!!! Beauty comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes!!! I’d much rather look at a woman with curves than a stick figure.

Hiding behind hair is the verrrrrrrry American thing to do! There’s nothing wrong with promoting your features - especially when they’re as good as hers - in lieu of hiding behind a mane hair. Using hair as a prop is what you’re prone to do when you have figure flaws. I applaud Amber for NOT being so American.

That has got to be a rumor, my daughter is signed with Ford and I guarantee you they have no use for her she just doesn’t fit the mold of a FORD model.

There’s more than simply the “runway” models. If you’ve ever watched any modeling agency show, they have hundreds of girls for different campaign needs. So, is Amber Rose going to be strutting down the catwalks in the major fashion shows? No. Might she start appearing in print ads and other commercial endeavors, probably hellz yeah!

why is hammertoe so reviled? - I don’t get it. High heels give EVERYBODY hammertoes. I mean, I had two very verry painful foot surgeries and it’s not something to do on a whim …

She’s signed with an agency which is different than having a contract with say, a cosmetic company. The agency will try to get her work. Good for her, I hope she does. She doesn’t rely on hair as a prop.
Hammertoes don’t come from wearing heels, they come from wearing cheap, made in China or Brazil heels from places like Payless et al. There’s a reason why some shoes are pricier. Cheap shoes cause hammertoes and accelerate bunyons (genetic), especially in people with flat feet. Cheap shoes shine like a beacon and can ruin an outfit.

She’s like an American Apparel Cartoon Network Grace Jones mutant. I love Grace Jones, but I don’t like this ripped off cutesy look. It looks too forced. With the bright pink lips and the blue leggings and the Smurf hair and the neon wedges with the snakes…too much.
However, I give her props for not being emaciated. Yay for meaty thighs.

She’s a halvsie, haha. Italian and cape-verdean (sp?!) …in any case -she- is pretty, her outfits are mostly too quirky to work if you’re not in the art world 24/7.
Anyway she’s pretty. Just take away all the hairspray paint and she’s pretty. lol. Generic conformity is not.
