It feels like we haven’t heard any gossip about Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani in a few months. They even seem to be toning it down these days, and no longer performing their love. I sort of miss it? They used to be extra about it, but now it’s like they’re just an established couple, quietly raising Gwen’s sons and spending lots of time at Blake’s ranch in Oklahoma. So now that they’ve settled in, is Blake finally going to put a ring on it?
Keep an eye on Gwen Stefani’s ring finger! The former No Doubt frontwoman and her love of three years, Blake Shelton, “are going to be announcing their engagement very soon,” a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. On The Ellen DeGeneres Show in April, Stefani, 49, admitted she thinks about marrying the 42-year-old country star “all the time.” Even so, the source explains she wanted to take things slow for the sake of her sons Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, 4, who watched her messy divorce from their dad, Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale, in 2015.
“Blake has always wanted to marry Gwen,” the source says, “but she’s always been extremely cautious because she has three kids to be mindful of.”
Gossip Cop says this is bullsh-t, and God knows we’ve heard it before and nothing has come of it. But it’s getting to the point where… it feels like Blake has to propose, right? I’m not saying that every couple has to get married, yadda yadda yadda, I’m saying that Gwen absolutely wants to marry him and he can’t keep avoiding it forever. A Valentine’s Day proposal, maybe?

Kind of off topic but I follow Gwen on Instagram and her Insta stories during the holidays with Blake, her kids and her family were so entertaining. Her and Blake’s lives are already REALLY intertwined so them getting married seems like a natural next step.
I like them together. He would be a good step-dad to her kids. She’s definitely a package deal and he seems to have embraced that. I can’t hate on them.
At first I really thought this was a showmance and kind of eye-rolly. But as time has passed I find I’m kind of rooting for them maybe? I think mostly because I’m old and can remember how much I loved Gwen Stefani back in the day, and would love to see her happy and settled with someone who loves her.
I’m pretty meh about Blake, who is way too dude-bro for me. But maybe they really work well together after all this time? I can sympathize with her desire to go slow on account of her kids. It took me years to be ready to move on after my divorce, mostly because I was so protective of my son and didn’t want to bring anyone into his life who wouldn’t be there for the long haul.
This is his MO though. He’s super performative early in the relationship, then he settles down and acts the good boyfriend for awhile. Proposes, they get married, he swears his everlasting love for a few months and then start cheating. I’m not saying that Miranda didn’t have some fault in their marriage dissolving, but he’s a serial cheater as well and it usually starts happening shortly after he gets married.
They’ve been saying this since they got together. I’ll believe it when I see it.
Although, I could see them just doing the thing they are doing and NOT getting married. I mean things are going great for them right now, why change it?
