Octomom signs reality TV deal, money for kids to be placed in trust

Nadya Suleman has signed a reality TV deal in which each of her 14 kids will earn $250 a day, to be placed in a trust that will be available to them when they turn 18. The move is likely meant to quiet all the talk that Suleman will predictably be profiting off her children and siphoning the money to pay for plastic surgery, designer goods, and nail tips. At least the kids will have some money put aside for the education, although surely the thick-lipped one got a sweet payday that’s not disclosed in the publicly available documents:

Octuplet mother Nadya Suleman has signed agreements for each of her 14 children to earn $250 a day to star in a reality television show.

The contracts filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court guarantee the children will collectively earn about $250,000 over three years. The contracts require a judge’s approval.

European production company Eyeworks has inked the deal with Suleman. Eyeworks lists “Breaking Bonaduce” and “The Biggest Loser” among its television credits.

The show is slated to begin filming Sept. 1, according to the documents.

The payments outlined in the contracts say Suleman’s kids will collectively earn $125,000 for 36 days of shooting in the first year of production, $75,000 for 21 days in the second year and $50,000 for 14 days in the third year. Any extra shooting days will be compensated at the same rate.

The contract also states that 15 percent of the gross compensation will be deposited by Eyeworks into a “Coogan Trust Account,” as required by California law. The monies can’t be touched until the children turn 18 or become legally emancipated.

A call to Suleman’s lawyer Jeff Czech was not immediately returned Friday afternoon. He has said previously that the family has hired an entertainment lawyer and established a trust for her children, ages eight and under.

[From OMG.Yahoo.com]

Suleman has previously slammed mother-of-eight Kate Gosselin, calling her reality show “exploitative and invasive in the kids lives,” and saying that her show won’t be anything like that and will be “more documentary style, monitoring their growth and development… more intellectual and educational, not so superficial.” I guess we’ll see how “educational” Suleman’s show is. Given her seething jealousy of Kate Gosselin, and all the obvious plastic surgery procedures she denies, you would assume that Suleman’s show will be just as “superficial,” if not more so, than its predecessors. This is the woman who tore up a photo of Kate Gosselin in a bikini and said she wouldn’t wear a bathing suit for the paps, but if she did she’d pick a cuter one. “I’m not as attention seeking.. [I’ll] probably never [wear a bikini for the paparazzi.]. If I do I’ll be more appropriate I’ll wear little boy shorts like the 50s or 60s bikinis. A little cuter less attention seeking.”

If the show is true reality, will her mother be the actual caretaker of her kids? Since her mother lost her home and took care of her first six children all those years, why doesn’t Octomom give her some consideration and buy her a home?
Octomom sounds so hypocritical when she says she is not exploiting her babies. She has exploited everything she could exploit including the welfare system. She knew she could not afford all these children..so I call it premeditation.

  2. Gigohead says:

I was sure this woman crawled back under her rock into oblivion.

  3. maritza says:

What other way can she support 14 kids on her own? At least it’ll be filmed as a documentary. I’m anxious to see how the kids are doing, her babies are so beautiful, she on the other hand is sooo annoying, I can’t stand when she rolls her eyes!

  4. Amy says:

I thought her 15 minutes were up! Surely no one is interested enough to watch that womans nannys raise her kids.

  5. jeri says:

I would hope the state of California gets all the money back this nut has sucked out of it FIRST before she gets a penny from a reality show. This mentally ill person has sooo much nerve.

  6. Jon says:

Come on, this women idolizes Kate Gosellin and Angelina Jolie.
With some councelling and serious drugs she may someday find out who she really is……A LOSER!

  7. Firestarter says:

Swell! Another trainwreck of a parent gets a reality show! What is this country coming to? The only thing this woman deserves to get is a tubal ligation and her children taken away and placed with sane, decent parents.

  8. elvisgrace says:

Ok, but who is the administrator of the trust? Because if it’s Crazy Bitch, she can still access those funds and spend spend spend.

  9. Hieronymus Grex says:

She’s seen more cuts than Joan Rivers and that withered old tramp looks like the Joker without the make-up.

  10. Wow says:

Eh, okay, why not. Since everybody and their grandmother has a show now, let’s bring in more kids.

I hope it will be about the kids, and nt just more 911 calls or Octo fighting with her Mother crap. I would like to see a show about her kids though, because I’m interested in how a single Mom goes about taking care of all of those kids, as well as kids with some disabilities. It would be nice if her show is educational in that way, but who am I kidding? Octo loves the drama, so it will more than likelyt be a train wreck.

  11. yae says:

I am NOT going to watch anything she creates. I’m not feeding that gross abdomen with my digitally counted viewer profits. Let the bloated ant queen survive without a worker ant. The state and her crew of worker-nannies already does enough for that insect.

  12. Catherine says:

This woman is sick. She needs help before those kids are too jacked up beyond repair.

  13. Nebraska says:

Octo could totally make money by starring in a horror flick. She looks scary. Firestarter you are 100% correct, this chick needs to get fixed and for those poor kids to be placed in a loving home.

  14. gg says:

The header photo: “Wait till they get a load-a ME!”

  15. j. ferber says:

So the kids are just getting 15 percent of their salaries saved in a trust? That means that 85 percent of the kids’ money can be spent by Nadya in like five minutes. I would like to know how much she is making, too. Gee, what a world we live in.

  16. the original kate says:

    is she still around?

  17. Katharine Jaynes says:

Is there a prison for people who lie to the public like this creature? I want to make a citizen’s arrest on the Octomom for public indecency.

  18. tasteT says:

Alot of people will not watch–we have too much OTHER stuff going on..its hard to look away from a train wreck while its happening…

I can’t…she is too UGLY, irritating and
    crazy

  19. Jazz says:

God, she looks crazy in that last picture!

  20. bored says:

The sheer number of kids in these freakshow familes (J&K+8, Duggars, etc) just boggles me. I don’t imagine that any of these children ever gets to feel special. Thier life is like living in a 24 hour daycare centre with video cameras. Sure, everyone is fed and clothed but what kind of adults will they be? It’s sad.

  21. Green Is Good says:

Why would anybody be interested in this crap? What, we’re going watch octopussy flap giant, botoxed, trout mouth while she gets her nails done?

  22. Jerry says:

THIS FOOL SOOOO WISHES SHE WAS KATE GOSSELIN! LAUGHABLE.

  23. frewt says:

I love how she slams another woman for being “attention seeking” and she’s had her lips blown up to conspicuous cartoon porn slut proportions.

  24. QB says:

I don’t like her at all but if this mean , that the goverment is going to stop supporting her and her army of kids this is great.

Plus the kids will have a trust. Hopefully they will use it for therapy and college.

  25. barneslr says:

I absolutely refuse to watch even one minute of any ‘reality’ show she is on. I hope enough people feel the same way and that it fails miserably.

And where is CPS? Why haven’t they removed these kids from this crazy b****? Does something tragic have to happen first, because I feel certain that it will if no one intervenes to protect these children.

    Just awful.

  26. she's only seventeen says:

    i wish she’d go away. 😐

  27. prissa says:

She looks a MESS! Really, I believe she hasn’t had much extra money ’cause those lips sure seem deflated and droopy. EWWWWW! And in that last pic she looks like a deranged mental patient about to have a psychotic episode! YIKES. I’m sure even with all the help and nannys she’s got to feel stressed with the 8 babies + 6 youngsters. Can you imagine the noise level and dirty diapers in that house??? Such a shame…

  28. supattana says:

We do live a very sick world.Reality TV shows on a mom who show no responsibilty by getting pregnant at the expenses of public funds. She’s jobless and unwed, yet she was allowed to be pregnant so many times over. The doctors who administered her pregnancy should be barred from further practice in IVF. Only morons would bother to see this programme.Total abuse.

  29. michelle says:

nadya needs to get over herself she looks like a fat pig compared to kate gosselin…not in a million years would she ever come up to kate’s level…so sorry for her children to have a mother like that….so embarrassing….she gets her lips done which makes her look ridiculous..looks like she can’t even talk right..i need to stop b4 i bore some people because trust me i can go on for hours criticizing this jealous beast!!
