Last week I asked all of an honest question: Is Bar Refaeli pulling a Single White Female on Gisele Bundchen? I honestly don’t know. Some of the stuff that’s happened between them seems like a normal case of an older, groundbreaking model getting there first, and a younger model following in her footsteps. That can explain Bar joining the Victoria’s Secret stable, and with Bar taking over Gisele’s Rampage contract. But there is a creepy, stalker-ish, Single White Female element to the Bar-Gisele dynamic. To me, it’s because Bar seems to be emulating Gisele’s whole look, and because Bar has cultivated a similar taste in men. Granted, not every model who goes in for honey-blonde highlights and a few sessions in the tanning bed is copying Gisele. But I swear, Bar really is copying the whole Gisele look and vibe.
As for the “taste in men” complaint. Well – Gisele got to Leonardo DiCaprio first, broke him in, left him (allegedly, she was the one to dump him), and then Bar stepped in. Now that Bar and Leo are over, Bar is on the prowl. So who does she choose to date? None other than yet another ex-boyfriend of Gisele’s!
IT didn’t take long for Bar Refaeli to get over Leonardo DiCaprio.
The Israeli model with the smokin’ bod was recently spotted in St. Tropez with Brazilian playboy Ricardo Mansur, a polo-playing nightclub owner who’s dated Gisele Bundchen, Isabeli Fontana, Leticia Birkheuer and other beauties.
Brazilian Web site Glamurama reports, “On Saturday, they were all over each other at Hotel Byblos at the swimming pool bar, and then in a club later that night.”

I’m totally creeped out. I know a lot of people think Bar is totally the prettier girl, but now when I see pictures of her, it’s like her face is morphing into Jennifer Jason Leigh’s in Single White Female. I get that a lot of people will disagree, and think Gisele is the weird one, or that she looks manly or whatever. I disagree – I think Gisele is extremely striking and high fashion. And obviously, Gisele is doing something right if her every move is copied by her little stalker Mini-Me.

I think Giselle is far prettier. Actually, maybe “prettier” isn’t the correct word – Giselle isn’t typically pretty. Maybe unique or striking is a better word. Bar just looks like one of many, nothing unique about her, IMO.
I don’t buy that she’s really into anyone. I think with all the news about Leo being with so many different women and out in the public partying….she’s trying to show him.
The professional similarities are not Bar’s fault. She can’t control VS or Rampage. These contracts are highly lucrative and she would be taking these jobs with or without Gisele in the story.
About the men, with Leo, maybe Bar wanted him to work the same magic he did for Gisele and give her instant popularity (I must remind you that Gisele became worldwide famous for dating Leo when he was the biggest thing in the world…then, her own prestige in the industry went sky high).
And with Mansur, it’s probably a fling, he’s a serial “modelizer” and he dates these girls for a short time to add some status to his own figure.
Funny, I don’t think Gisele was high fashion even when she did high fashion. I think she always did much better with her VS, commercial crap. I think models like Shalom Harlow, Daria Werbowy, Natalia Vodianova, Linda Evangelista or even Carmen Kass/Carolyn Murphy, (who started out with Gisele) are much more interesting and alluring to do high fashion than Gisele ever was.
Bar is definitely gorgeous, much more than Gisele, her looks are softer, more feminine and her body is great, Gisele is too bony, her “curves” are a illusion, because of her breast implants and her poses.
I think Bar is far more attractive than Giselle. Her features are much softer.

I think Gisele is the prettier one. And I DON’T think taht Bar is over Leo by a long shot!(Maybe not Gisele either, for taht matter…I just think she got tired of waiting for him to propose to her. I wonder if he regrest losing her…Gisele…now.)
Two fantastically gorgeous women–no doubt! I personally prefer Giselle’s “look” to Bar, and find her more interesting. To me, the comparison between Giselle and Bar is akin to AJ and Megan Fox, with the latter’s appearance (in both pairings) being softer with a more rounded chin, cheeks, etc.
Agree with Kaiser there are too many similarities for this to be coincidence. Either Bar’s using Gisele’s playbook or she’s SWF’ing it. Didn’t Gisele claim copycat with this girl? Or am I just recalling rumor? If it’s true I find Bar’s behavior more ominous.
I think they’re both bootyful in their own way. Yes, I said bootyful cause I think they both have great asses, lol. Don’t think Bar is trying to be like Gisele, they just have similar lifestlyes being models and all. And because they are both models, they probably run in the same social circles, hence, Bar running into some of Gisele’s exes.

Both lovely, but no question about it. Giselle is the real stunner. She is just amazingly beatiful.

As for the dating thing- I read somewhere that Bar’s current squeeze is the guy wearing the white shirt in the picture in which she is holding a camera.
He is supposed to be some Israeli millionaire.

As for dating Leo- I am sure Bar saw what it did to Gisele’s career and took note, but not because it was Gisele and she is trying to copy her moves.
It’s a great ticket to get publicity and fast track a modeling career.

Frankly, while I want to rant about how silly this item is, I think it’s more fun to complicate it further. Do a little googling. Bar looks WAY MORE like Isabeli Fontana than she does like Gisele. So is Bar SWF’ing her, too?

giselle seems fun and full of live. bar could learn to enjoy her life and grow some back bone. she either looks stunning or not at all, and even resembles courtney love, the rough look that is so uncute. giselle may not have the botton nose and so forth, but has a classy and elegant disposition and isn’t pushing herself in everyone’s face. bar has great potential, and i also think leo regrets not having appreciated guiselle when he had the chance. he needs to move on also and hope he finds true love again.
guiselle has a run way model body. bar is prettier some times, but doesn’t have the elegance that guiselle has. guiselle never appears desperate and seems fun to be with and full of life.

Bar does NOT have a pretty face. It is too long and her features are bland and too small. She is not pretty. It’s all been hype.

I think they have a faint resemblance, mostly due to having the same basic body frame and straight highlighted hair.
They probably date the same guys because they run in the same circles.
They look the same! Of course the companies want to replace the look they originally envisioned with the exact same look. Likewise, these men have a certain type and Bar is Giselle 2.0. What do you expect? They’re practically twins.
Gisele is prettier and she’s high fashion, plus she has an amazing body. While Bar’s all about print and swimsuits. I don’t think you’ll ever see Bar walking for Dolce, Valentino, Versace or any of the top fashion houses like Gisele has. She’s just not striking enough to be apart of that supermodel crowd.
Plus she has droopy old lady face. She looks just as old, if not older, than Gisele.

I’m glad that some people don’t find Bar pretty. Don’t get me wrong Bar has a nicer body than Gisele(who to me is not particularly curvy but poses very well) but the girls face like bundchen’s leaves much to be desired. Her features are just kinda melted together and not defined. Giseles face is disproportionate but at least she knows she’s not a beauty queen.
Just a reminder: Gisele was high fashion long ago in the early 2000s. Now, she does one high fashion campaign for 5 commercial jobs. Her days of Valentino and Chanel are over. For instance, the only high fashion thing she did this season was Versace and Dior in the last season. That’s nothing, especially when models much older than her are doing 2, 3 or 4 high fashion campaigns for season. But in fact, high fashion does not make you any money. This is why Bar was smart and took the Rampage and VS contracts and that was exactly why Gisele, Carolyn Murphy, Tyra, Doutzen and so many other models exchanged Prada for L’Oreal, for instance.
Now, I don’t get the whole “great body” thing. She’s extremely thin like most models. What makes her less anorexic looking is her boob job.
Plain and simple Bar is waaaay more beautiful. Yeah Gisele is different, but to say she is more beautiful is ridiculous. I feel like people always have to be rebellious or go against the current and say Gisele is so beautiful because she is not typical. Her looks just makes her atypical and unique, but not more beautiful. More uniqur-yes, more tall and lanky and gazelle-like-yes. More classically beautiful—hells no!

Bar is fug. Sorry, but she is. She has a nice body and nice eyes but that’s it and there is nothing else extraordinary about her. She has a bland face that looks just like hundreds of your average SoCal college students except taller (don’t believe me? Wander around the USC campus sometime). Gisele may not be a beauty queen but at least she is memorable.

Well part of the problem is everyone buys in to the hook line and sinker “this is whats pretty” diagram. Speaking as someone who prefers to step outside this nasty trap of a box….neither one is impressive.
However…”Societys tool” comes to mind when i think about both of them. beauty is something that is within a person. The woman who spends hours of her own time building a house for someone else, or works with kids that cannot afford a tutor, hell someone who is a vol down at the local Y is beautiful, these two women are self absorbed tools.
i think leo really is in love with gisele and she walked away from him and this time she stayed away. i also think that when leo said he wanted to get married and have a family, he was actually talking to gisele, because gi is so much in love with tom and tom in love with her , he knew he was loosing her and wanted to give her what he wanted all along. now that they are married and have a child on the way, leo is not happy and will never let another woman hurt him again.
