Anna Paquin can’t wait to be Stephen Moyer’s third baby-mama

wenn5328379
True Blood’s Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin announced their engagement last week. They’ve been together since 2007, and seem to be all over each other since then. The engagement itself was no big deal – but Anna and Stephen are still dealing with questions about how and when they got together, and whether Stephen basically dumped his girlfriend of seven years for Anna. Also at issue if Stephen habit of dumping baby-mamas. He has two children, a son named Billy and a daughter named Lilac. I’ve said before that I’m happy for Anna and Stephen, but that I really hoped Anna wouldn’t get pregnant right away. According to Star, she’s not taking my advice:

“Anna has wanted to marry Stephen practically since the day she met him,” says a source.

The two have admitted to clicking immediately when he auditioned for the series in early 2007 – though Stephen, 39, was still with Lorien Haynes, the mother of his daughter, Lilac, 7. And Anna, 27, doesn’t want to waste any time now that they’re making it official.

“She’s already talked to the producers about working around her if she gets pregnant,” says the source. “Anna can’t wait to start a family.”

[From Star Magazine, print edition, August 24 2009]

Gah! Anna, use your head, not your hormones. You don’t have to get knocked up as soon as you get the ring! Oh, well. She’s not listening to me. She’ll figure it out when they have a baby and he dumps her for the newer model. Too harsh? That’s what he does! It’s his history.

The National Enquirer has another story about Anna and Stephen that I found really strange. Up until this point, the few reports I’d read about Stephen’s ex Lorien Haynes had her rather bitter. There were even some rumors that Lorien considered Anna to be something of a home wrecker. But according to the Enquirer, Anna, Stephen and Lorien all get along famously. Lorien has even used Moyer and Paquin for international exclusives and profiles!

Stephen Moyer’s former longtime galpal is journalist Lorien Haynes – and she’s scoring big with exclusive interviews about the happy couple.

“Lorien may have lost Stephen, but she’s making the most out of the breakup,” said an insider.

Two years ago, Stephen left Lorien and their 7-year-old daughter Lilac back home in England – forever as it turned out – and soon shared a home with Anna in Venice, CA.

While reports say Anna was the cause of Moyer’s breakup with Lorien, sources say the relationship was already over.

“In fact,” said the insider, “Lorien has become good friends with Anna.”

Lorien’s recent interview with her ex appeared [in the NY Post], the same day [the Mail] ran her exclusive with Anna Paquin.

Her article about Stephen mentioned the on-screen “sexual chemistry between” he and Anna, something Lorien surely had firsthand knowledge about.

[From the National Enquirer, print edition, August 24 2009]

At first I was kind of like “meh, weird story”. But it’s actually true! Lorien wrote a Q & A piece with Stephen for the New York Post called “Interview With A Vampire” (so original). The weird thing is that no one identified her as, you know, Stephen’s ex-girlfriend, mother of his daughter, et cetera. Lorien also wrote a piece on Anna Paquin for the Daily Mail called “Rising Vamp” – also without any identification that Anna is the current girlfriend of Lorien’s baby-daddy. I just skimmed the piece, and Lorien was very nice to Anna. Perhaps there is no animosity what so ever. Could it be true? An ex without an axe to grind? An ex who doesn’t use the failed carcass of her relationship to launch the next leg of her career? Except Lorien is using her relationship with Anna and Stephen for her career – but in a good way. Although slightly unethical, journalistically speaking.

I LOVE the shoes Anna is wearing in the top photo. Anyone have any idea where to get them?

  2. Lem says:

    maybe it really was over
maybe it’s all British stiff upper lip and protocol
either way two years is usually plenty of time to come to terms

  3. Iggles says:

He’s a serial monogamist! Those are dangerous because they don’t want to be alone. They will stay in a bad relationship until they find someone better — instead of breaking up when they realize things aren’t working. These men and women lead their partners on and the moment they end on relationship they move into another with the person waiting in the wings. What the new person fails to realize is that they are not special. If it happened to the Ex, it could very well have to you!

  4. Mel says:

    Ugh! There’s those teeth again!

  5. Firestarter says:

While watching True Blood the other night, I have decided that the two of them (my opinion only) are the worst actors on that show. When she and he were talking at the main Vampire’s house, the acting was sooooo bad it was almost funny.

@Donna- Not that this will help. but I suggest going online with Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms or Zappos to try and find the shoes.

All 3 of those sites have great shoes and just type in the desciption and if not those exact shoes, you will no doubt find something very similar.

  6. meow says:

I am so glad that her part has become smaller on the show. She is the worst actress. Yes, I know she has an Oscar (from when she was a child) and a Golden Globe for her Sookie Role. Please, Alan Ball and HBO paid well for her Golden Globe. She is wooden and has no range. Her only preperations for the role were to color her hair and get a spray tan.

  7. Nebraska says:

    The shoes look like Laboutins.

  8. eva says:

Stephen was away in Australia for long periods filming a movie and the Starter Wife before True Blood even happened. It is perfectly believable that the relationship was over before he met Anna. I’ve read elsewhere that the relationship ended in 2006, which would jive with his filming schedule.
Why do people want to jump to conclusions and believe the worst?
Oh yeah, I’m reading this on celeBITCHY.

  9. Jenna says:

I watch True Blood and I’m reading the Sookie Stackhouse books and if this woman decides to get knocked up and work it’s way into the show I will be pissed. Granted I know there are some things different about the books than the series so I’m over that but why, why, WHY would she want to try and incorporate that into the series!?

Also, less focus on Bill (Stephen) and more focus on Eric (Alexander)! Yes please!! 😀

  10. daniel says:

@Firestarter, I agree they are both horrible on the show. the acting in that fight scene between Sookie and Bill’s ex vampire gf was cringe worthy. “you’ll never have him, BITCH! back off!!” lol, I’ve seen better acting on the days of our lives.

  11. Firestarter says:

    @Daniel-YES! Wasn’t that just embarrassing?

  12. Squirtle says:

@Jenna: Oh I totally agree! Bill’s character is like an old perverted man that creeps you out because he won’t stop staring and drooling. Eric on the other hand, HOT HOT HOTTTT!

Ahem anyway…Sookie is a nasty butterface, and a horrible actress! I hope she get’s written off the show though I know there really isn’t any way to do that, but I still think it would be better off without her !

  13. Ron says:

If the show sucks so bad, why are all of you watching it? Change the channel and solve the problem.

  14. meow says:

Ron- the rest of the show/cast is fabulous.Sookie and Bill’s parts have become smaller, I am guessing, due fan response. The other characters make the series.

  15. Firestarter says:

@Ron- I think what we are saying is that the two people who play Sookie and Bill are horrible actors. The show has a rather large, ensemble cast and those are the ones I tune in to watch, not Paquin and Moyer. I am also smart enough to figure out if I don’t like something, I can change the channel, I happen to LIKE the show, just not two of the characters, which is pretty much the general thought with the rest of the posters.

    LOVE True Blood!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  17. Katyusha says:

Anyone else think Godric (Allan Hyde) is hot?

  18. elisabetta says:

Imagine if the uncool triangle had played out like this… Imagine Jennifer Aniston writing a complimentary peice on Angelina Jolie two years after Brad jumped ship! IMAGINE! Bwahahahaha

  19. as good as it gets says:

@Katyusha: Definetly! Eric and Godric are two hot vampires!

  20. Jess says:

This relationship does NOT have my blessing.

  21. jk says:

I think Moyer and Anna are great actors. I think the GG & Oscar awards tend to agree plus the millions who are buying the DVDs and tuning in each Sunday. We all have our opinions but the majority as in the audience rule in this one, HBO will not change cast members of a very profitable show. They are also all playing the role as the director wants them to and doing a bloody good job by the rating.
Anna stated recently in an interview that he is only 27yrs old and has lots of time to have children. Stephen stated that his previous relationship broke up when he was gone for 18mths to Australia to film and the starter wife so doubt half this article is true.

  22. For Sooth? says:

I have never jibed with Steven as Bill. He’s creepy, not beautiful. Anna doesn’t set well either. In the books it is clearly stated throughout that Sookie has plenty up top which provides for the delightful double entendre in her last name. Also, it is ofen mentioned that Sookie and Eric mirror each other in their eye color and hair color, so much so that it bothers me tremendously that the actors don’t. And “Eric”, although good enough looking is not the drop dead gorgeous I expected. He looks a little milk toast to me, not a real stunner of a man. I also don’t like the way he is constantly stooping his head, and yeah I know he is tall, but I have a son who is six and a half feet tall and he never stoops like that. He bears himself well with impeccable posture. It commands attention. I expect the same of Eric since he is supposed to be a proud and fearful Viking warrior. The stoop makes him appear meek and timid. And please don’t tell me it’s his menacing stoop. I don’t buy it.

    • Donna says:

you have a right to your opinion about Eric but many people way over six feet have problems with their backs. They have to slouch to talk to most everyone. I also think he is one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen and I never even liked that type. No way is sookie nearly as good looking. They constantly have to repeat or insinuate she is drop dead gorgeous on the show to suspend disbelief and about the boob thing… am i the only person who recognizes this actress seems to have had a major breast reduction?? I don’t know if it was for the series, but years ago she was seriously in need of cosmetic correction for what looked like tremendous pendulous breasts that might have gotten way too out of control for sookie stackhouse character and those cute little sundresses.

  23. TinaWithPom says:

For Sooth – yeah! Stephen as Bill is CREEPY, not at all beautiful like his character in the series is described.

Sookie Stackhouse would NEVER get knocked up! Working the “knocked up” angle into the story line is not congruent with her character.

Maybe it’s because the photo is fuzzy, but the engagement ring looks really bleh.

Maybe I should just stick to reading the series over again instead of watching the new season.

  24. TinaWithPom says:

I want to add that I LOVE Anna Paquin. I think it’s great that she never fed herself into the Hollywood Fugly Machine (lip fillers, veneers, boob job).

That said, I also think she should slow down. Totally agree that being engaged doesn’t mean that you need to immediately get pregnant… (or already be pregnant, which seems to be another Hollywood thing-to-do these days).

  25. Sanna says:

I just wish peoplke would stop bitch about what they don’t know anything about. And calling her ugly and that he’ll dump her?? Come on, how old are you?? 15?? Wait, is this highschool??

It’s true that Lorein and Anna are good friends. Stephen has even said so

  26. LosCabos says:

I like the couple per se, but Anna Paquin is a painful actress to watch. She won an Oscar cause she was really good when she was little, but i don’t know if it’s the forced accent she makes, or her natural untalented skills, but she’s NOT good at all in True Blood. HBO has a way to get Golden Globes i heard.

As for getting pregnant, i don’t see why not. Not only it’s her damn problem if she does, but the show runs through less than six months, so she can easily have a baby between seasons without getting Sookie herself knocked up. Best to both, but she sucks as Sookie.

  27. Jon says:

Anna’s acting is incredibly bad and her face looks like the back end of a horse…

  28. miranda says:

I’m surprised at the smarmy level of discourse here – always expect more from Celebitchy, but so many of these comments are just ridiculous! The misinformation campaign about the start of Stephen and Anna’s relationship was begun at Star, a tabloid with a woeful record of fact-checking, if they even bother to check. I know fake things get inflated and republished — but this is wrong. Their relationship started well after Stephen and Lorien parted company, and the fact that Lorien and Anna are friends should prove that. Also, Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin are amazingly talented actors and their onscreen chemistry is the central reason that millions of people, including me, got hooked on this show in the first place. Alan Ball, as the creator of the show, knows Anna for the gifted actress she is (and she is an adorable, unique Sookie — she doesn’t have to be a carbon copy of the Sookie created in the books), as do we, and Stephen Moyer is a fantastic actor and one helluva hot guy. So, enough with the haters already. And Celebitchy/Kaiser – puhleese check your facts!

  29. Jenna says:

I agree 100% Bill seems like that creep you are afraid of at a bar. Granted in the books the character Bill is a bit more what Stephen plays him. But I just can’t find anything about him that I particularly like.

For Sooth, I agree about his posture. It irks me slightly but to me if I were to have to pick either Eric or Bill… I want my Viking warrior. 😛 Perhaps it’s because he is already 6’4″ that it’s enough to seem menacing? I don’t know. He can menace me all he wants.

  30. Katyusha says:

    @ For Sooth?

In defense of ‘Eric’, I don’t think he chooses to stoop his head like that. I’d imagine it’s part of his character.
Also, in the grand scheme of things, 6′ 1/2″ ft. isn’t that tall. Alexander Skarsgard is 6 foot 4. So, even if that’s the way he really is, he has more of a reason to stoop at that height. Not that it’s attractive.

  31. For Sooth? says:

Katyusha _ My bad. I didn’t make it clear enough that my son is 6 ft. 6 1/2 ins. tall. Two and 1/2 inches taller than Eric.
I’ve been thinking and maybe he stoops to fit in the framing of the scene, but I still don’t like it. He doesn’t fulfill his “powerful” role by standing like that. In my mind anyway.

  32. For Sooth? says:

I slso didn’t mean to imply that Anna needed to run out and get a boob jog. I’m not down with boob jobs. But the producers missed an opportunity to play up the double entendre. Even I as a female get a hoot out of it.
I also think that the actor that plays Jason is spot on. Kudos to him. I also like the actor that plays Sam, another good casting.
Tara, although quite different in the book is, outstandingly played in the HBO series, as is her cousin. Entertaining as hell.

  33. Laura says:

What a bunch of haters some of you people are! Anna and Stephen are great actors and adorable together. I used to hate Sunday nights because the weekend was over but now I look forward to them because I get to escape with True Blood! Sookie and Bill’s parts seem smaller because there are so damned many characters this season to accomodate and different storylines to worth through.

  34. For Sooth? says:

Oh yes, the “hater” moniker out in force. We can’t have ebb and flow without the “hater” word being tossed out?? And so easily tossed out at that. Everyone’s up for an easy attack, is that it? What happened to debate and reasoned opinions? Or just personal opinions? Oh yeah, they lost out to revisionist history and an educational system based on “feelings” instead of logic and reason. Hence, name calling instead of true discourse.

  35. Kay says:

STAR magzine likes to create bullshit about them again. I think they are both great actors. I for one enjoy the show mainly for their onscreen chemistry and the characters around them. I don’t find Bill creepy in the show or the books. Bill is my total preference out of all the guys on the show.

  36. Zoe (The Other One) says:

@for sooth? – unfortunately this website is filled with 15 year olds who only know how to to argue with the words ‘jellus h8r’ these days. Shame.

  37. anonie says:

But what everyone is forgetting is that Anna was with Kieran Culkin until mid 2007. Those two seemed majorly in love, and it was also adorable that neither of them spoke about their relationship in public. It was admirable as well. Something just doesn’t sit right about her relationship with Stephen. Am I the only one who has noticed that Stephen was the first to say anything publicly about his relationship with Anna, and couldn’t shut up about it while it took her awhile to talk about it. I honestly feel that Stephen is using Anna’s fame to help his own, but she’s too blind to see it.

  38. eva says:

A stream of insults is not an argument where I come from. And why would somebody who only posts on here to hurt people and insult without making an actual arguement be bothered by the term hater. I would think you’d wear it as a badge of honor.

  39. michelle says:

you could tell in the first few episodes the way they looked at each other they would get together

  40. michelle says:

i also think there are a lot of other actors that did very, very well like the guy who plays sookie’s brother and tara and her mother…that lady did really well!

  41. lisa stanley says:

I think Anna did ok for Sookie in True Blood, but no way did she do well enough to win the Golden Globe (I think it was that one) there were many other really great actors and actresses who deserved it more than she did.

  42. lisa stanley says:

I agree 100% Michelle, when you saw the first couple episodes of season one, you just knew they would be together or at least be gettin it on!
