Kate Major tells CBS Jon Gosselin promised her a job as his personal assistant

Watch CBS Videos Online
Yesterday we were too busy mocking Kate Major for her teary pathetic interview with Inside Edition to notice that she somehow scored an interview on CBS’ Early Show. The fact that one of Gosselin’s sorry ass hookups is getting so much press time is a testament to how much people are still interested in this sad reality family of multiples.

Major came across as much more put together and reasonable in this interview, but there’s still a pungent smell of desperation around her, as if she has nothing else to do than fixate on this less than two week fling and continue to complain about Jon to the media:

katemajor4

On her involvement with Jon and how serious it was
I didn’t look at it as a fling, I wouldn’t have gotten involved with him if I knew the outcome of the situation – ever. But I did, and Jon had promised me and told me a lot of things or else I wouldn’t have put myself in this situation…

He told me a lot of things that he isn’t saying publicly that he said. It’s very hurtful because I have to deal with the repercussions of it alone…

Promised her a job as his personal assistant
Before I had resigned from my job I talked to Jon about this. He told me that it was impossible for us to be together and for me to be a reporter. I also knew that it wasn’t fair to Star Magazine… I was supposed to work for him as his personal assistant, and also be with him, and also work with other clients that he had coming up.

Even after he said that he publicly couldn’t be with anyone after he told me that he broke up with Hailey, I figured it was for the show, it was for his family, it was for the kids. I didn’t think that it would turn out with him going back to Hailey.

On Hailey calling her “cuckoo”
You know, I feel badly for her that she doesn’t know the truth, and that Jon didn’t tell her the truth… Any guy that cheats says that the other woman is [makes air quotes] “cuckoo” or “crazy.” So obviously, she doesn’t know the truth. I have nothing bad to say about her. This isn’t about Hailey and I, this is about Jon and I.

Question: Are you still in love with him?
No

Question: What do you think of him now?
I don’t have a lot of respect for him. I think he handled the situation very poorly. He did not act like an adult, or a grown man, or a father. It’s sad. I think the fame has just gone to his head and he’s on some bachelor romp or whatever you want to call it. But you cannot treat people… It’s not fair to me, it’s not fair to Hailey, it’s not fair to his ex-wife, his kids or anyone else involved in the situation.

On her future and if she still has “journalistic aspirations”
Of course. I loved my job. I worked really hard at it when I was in Los Angeles and again in NY. I have a degree. I’m not some stupid girl. This wasn’t my first assignment. Yes I crossed the line, and I should have now better. Now I just have to admit what happened. I’ve been truthful all along, and Jon has not. And move on with my life. Everything I believe happens for a reason and the worst thing you can do is sit there and lie.

[Transcribed from video of Kate Major on The Early Show, aired 8/21/09]

I guess we can assume that Kate is not welcome back at Star Magazine, especially since she scored an exclusive cover with competitor Life & Style this week. I would have guessed otherwise last week, but it looks like she burned her bridges. The fact that she so easily quit her job, and her constant whining interviews, show that Major is indeed the “stupid girl” she claims not to be. No college degree can insulate you from that level of f*ck up.

Also, I love celebrity gossip more than most people, but am at a loss to see how this chick merits an interview on a national morning talk show. Inside Edition I get, but CBS’ Early Show? The crossover of gossip to mainstream news usually doesn’t bother me, but this somehow steps way over that line.

From reading the interview, she just wants the truth out. It might make her look ‘stupid or weak’ to some but the attention should be on what an ass Jon is and what this is gonna do to his kids.
Its sad that in this day you cant have an open heart, you cant trust what anyone says, you cant be pure or simple. Youre mocked for being a retard if you follow your heart.

its Jon that is a big shame in all this, lying an dusing people and cheating and abandoning his kids etc. etc.

  2. Kittypants says:

I think it’s fair to say this guy will pretty much tell you anything to get into your undies. Why anyone would want to get into his is beyond me.

  3. happymom says:

I would be so embarrassed to have hooked up with this creep that there is NO way I would be discussing this on tv. She needs counseling. And what is wrong with these morning shows that this is considered “newsworthy”?

  4. Jazz says:

I can’t believe she is still taking her whine fest around the country. Give it up girl, you are just embarrassing yourself.

  5. Marie says:

If I had a magazine or something like that I wouldn’t hire her!! I know people deserves second chances but I don’t really know… She left her job ’cause of him!! She probably will do it again if she falls in ‘love’ with the next one who can give her a spotlight!

  6. Lyla says:

kind of prostitute-y to whine about how the guy you were banging promised you a job and didn’t deliver…

  7. Lyla says:

also I didn’t know that was spelled “cou cou”! i always thought it was “koo koo” or “coo coo”. learn something new every day!

  8. Beth says:

CBS has been covering Jon and Kate as a real story. Kate’s brother and sister-in-law are on the Early Show all of the time. So having the girlfriend on isn’t a surprise. If I’m not mistaken, CBS is a distant third in ratings. So I guess they are desperate.

  9. Eileen Yover says:

-sneaking her in the family house for sex
-only going to fast food chains for dates
    -getting dumped by text message

Seriously? And she’s heart broken about
this? A guy can promise you anything like trips, jobs, and a fabulous life, but what he was saying and actually following through with are not the same. How could she not see that? And how could this other chick still be with him after he cheated? These girls are pathetic.

  10. orion70 says:

Lyla, it’s not coocoo, kookoo or coucou….it’s “cuckoo”
    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cuckoo

And i’m inclined to believe it the way she’s plugging this victim role. The fact she quit her job alone is enough.

  11. bored says:

I wonder when she’ll get around to writing a book to completely suck her 15 minutes with a D-Lister dry… she’ll probably have to, as her career in any sort of legitimate media is pretty much over.

  12. Taya says:

Jon is so gross. Just thinking of having sex with with makes me vomit in my mouth. No way in hell would I even admit if I kissed this loser, let alone slept with him. Jon is just disgusting.

  13. javelin says:

For a Star reporter, Kate Major is a disaster when it comes to playing the fame game. Desperation will keep her sitting on the sidelines… or maybe she can rebound with Michael Lohan.

  14. oh my says:

I think this is a case of someone who wanted to be a “celebrity” instead of working for a tabloid that covers one. This girl is a shining example of how low our culture has sunk in making anyone spends time on a “reality” show or any other connected sycophant (many of whom jones to get their our “reality” shows) into a celebrity.

  15. Nev says:

One thing for sure TLC love this drama since they decided to throw Jon to the wolves long time ago to make Kate G look less bi+chy and horrible. TLC is seriously fighting to save Kate plus 8. What better way then to make him look so evil that the bitter divorce women cheer for Kate and want to rip Jon to pieces. To make Jon look the utimate evil TLC would rather him be with 22 year old Hailey. So of course Kate M is out of the picture because she is too mature even though she is stupid.
Bottom line is TLC is still manipulating a family for ratings and Kate G is in the middle of it all trying to smell like a rose and live the Hollywood life style while her
8 kids pay for it. I can’t wait until one of Kate Gosselin’s kids write a tell all book
about how mean manipulative their mom was and dad just didn’t give a care.

  16. Firestarter says:

I wish everyone in this whole sordid mess would STFU!

They are all asswipes and douche bags.

  17. djork says:

This maroon “warrants” an interview because if they didn’t interview her they’d have to report actual news–like armed bigots showing up at town hall meetings, war, financial and social collapse and stuff like that. Pathetic.

  18. Kelly says:

Guy meets girl, guy fucks girl, guy sweet talks girl, girl believes guy, guy dumps girl, girl is embarrassed, shamed, humbled.

Sounds like the experience of every woman in her 20s. Get over it.

  19. Celebitchy says:

@lyla and orion – I meant to look up how to spell cuckoo, I should have known but I just kind of stuck that in there and meant to change it, but forgot. Thanks and I’ve fixed it!

  20. Lyla says:

All the people involved in this circus are cuckoo.

    My word of the day!

  21. loldongs says:

Kate is still the worse parent.

John banged some single bitches, he was ALWAYS a better parent.

How quickly everyone forgets what a chastizing superficial bitch Kate was to her kids and Jon.

The fact that Jon is shagging some dirtbag women speaks NOTHING about his capacity as a father, and the rest of the allegations are simply unproven.

This woman was either paid to do this or she’s a sociopath.

And of course our misandry obsessed society is eating it up.

Just remember, Kate is and always was the worse parent.

It has nothing to do with whether you dislike Jon because he doesn’t take women out on expensive dates.

To anyone with half a brain, there is NO corollary there. None at all.

Jon is a mangina and a wiener, I don’t respect him, but clearly he was the better parent.

To be quite honest, I’m starting to believe all this drama is orchestrated.

  22. Trashay says:

What a piece of trash. Get over it skanky! You worked for a tabloid. You chased a booooring reality dude who is separated from his wife and is playing the field. You believed whatever BS he told you. You fucked him almost immediately. And now you’re making a pathetic spectacle of the whole thing.

    People like you are disgusting!!

  23. Magsy says:

Why is she wearing a doilie? Where do they get these chicks. She got some hard miles on her.

  24. AlaskaJoey says:

What other “clients” was Jon supposed to be getting? Clients for what? was he telling her he was going to become an agent or a publicist or something?

I can’t imagine any other publication will hire her. Maybe the National Enquirer. Or, News of the World, if they still exist. You know- the black and white one that always reports on monsters and aliens.

  25. Cinderella says:

Funny that she finds it so important to let everyone know what a lying, cheating dirtbag Jon is when everyone already knew except her dumb ass.

  26. Neelyo says:

‘This girl is a shining example of how low our culture has sunk in making anyone spends time on a “reality” show or any other connected sycophant (many of whom jones to get their our “reality” shows) into a celebrity.’

I thought that beared repeating. Thanks oh my. Seeing this headline made me kind of sick and think that maybe I didn’t want to come back here anymore because I don’t care about people like her and the Gosselins and I don’t want to hear about them.

People who appear on reality shows that don’t involve a skill are usually no more than crass exhibitionists and don’t warrant the coverage they get.

  27. BiggieShortie says:

And we’ll be hearing about HER “reality” show in 5, 4, 3, 2,…
    {barfs}

  28. Rosalee says:

When a marriage breaks down usually someone goes off the rails and becomes a serial dater trying to make up for lost time. I am not on Jon’s side, but it’s human nature..unfortunately their lives and the lives of their children are being played out on the national stage. Perhaps both Jon and Kate should have gone into therapy as soon as possible and turned off the cameras until they along with their children adapted to this new stage in their lives. As for the young woman..I feel for her parents and grandparents who are watching her air her lack of good judgment and common sense in the national media.

  29. birdgherl says:

Pathetic. I would do anything I could to HIDE the fact I was with that loser. She needs some serious help. Pronto.

  30. Ashley says:

well, if no other offers come through, she’ll always have her place in VH1’s Surreal Life house…or even better, her own VH1 dating show!
    How deliciously white trash!

  31. ♥Natalie♥ says:

Why are women fighting over Jon Gosselin?

  32. Ruby Red Lips says:

You don’t give up everything for a guy you’ve met for 2 weeks.

She obv did as thought ‘I’ll be famous now by being with him’

    Stupid shallow woman…

  33. Jazz says:

Maybe she can get a job with The National Enquirer. She knows how to make coffee right??

  34. UrbanRube says:

Why would anyone want to WORK for their boyfriend, anyway? (Women who work in real jobs with their boyfriends excluded.) To be your infamous boyfriend’s personal assistant sounds like a piss-poor job to have, and as if it would put you on a lower level than he’s on.

  35. Ashley says:

right on UrbanRube. My parents raised my sisters and I not to have to depend on a man no matter what the circumstances…and to see grown women behave the way they do (over Jon Gosselin, no less!) sickens me!
Whatever happened to women’s empowerment? Its women like her (kate major) that give the rest of us a bad name

  36. Magsy says:

Right, what was she gonna give him coffee, and bl*wj*bs?

  37. David says:

This kind of thing is really amazing-Jon and Kate are not the brightest bulbs in the pack and lead pretty pathetic lives and yet a good number of people are really interested in their B.S. I feel sorry for their kids.
