Justin Timberlake isn’t going to be able to escape from Jessica Biel’s clutches so easily. Not if she has anything to say about it. And it looks like Jessica’s got back-up too! E! Online is reporting that JT’s mom is all about Jessica. Sort of. When asked what kind of girl her son should go for, Mama Timberlake replied, “The one he’s with now is awesome.” Meanwhile, JT and Jessica haven’t seen each other in a few weeks as Jessica stays busy in Canada and New York (where Jessica is allegedly participating in a Broadway workshop of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) while JT parties in LA, Las Vegas and any golf course that will have him. It seems to me like they are definitely taking some time apart, if not completely broken up, but whatever, Mama Timberlake:
Justin Timberlake was swinging solo in Sin City this weekend, but his mom, Lynn Harless, insists he’s not on the market.
When E! News asked what kind of lady she’d like to see her son with, Harless said, “The one he’s with now is awesome.”
We’re assuming she means Jessica Biel, despite the recent breakup chatter.
“He’s found someone that’ll golf with him, give him a hard time when he deserves it and stand up to him,” Lynn continued.
Justin was in Vegas to host a golf tournament and all-star benefit concert for a good cause, Shriners Hospitals for Children, featuring the likes of Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Snoop Dogg, Timbaland, TLC, Ciara and Jay Sean.
But he also made plenty of time for partying in Sin City—sans Jessica…

At the same time Mama Timberlake was trying to confirm their relationship, Fox 411 put up a story with a suspiciously similar pro-Jessica bent. Although this one kind of reads like it was manufactured by Jessica’s publicist. According to Fox 411’s “sources”, JT’s friends are totally mad at him for trying to break it off with Jessica. Um… seriously?
It sounds like Justin Timberlake’s friends are on Team Jessica.
Since Timberlake split from longtime girlfriend Jessica Biel, his pals have been less than supportive of his move back to bachelorhood, a source close to his JT’s posse tells Fox411.
“Justin’s friends are usually all about anything he wants, but in this case, his boys are totally disappointed in him,” says the source. “They think he’s making a big mistake by dumping Jess. Justin and Jess have their problems, but all in all, his friends think she is one of the best things that ever happened to him.”
Instead of lending an ear and being there for him the way they usually are, Justin’s friends have pulled a disappearing act. The insider tells Fox411 that Timberlake was looking forward to his friends rolling with his newly single self, but instead they have basically shunned him, refusing to join in his constant partying and chatting up different women every night.
“They really thought he got past all of that,” the source says, “But it’s all beginning all over again. They think if they don’t give in he may come to his senses and get back together with Jessica. That’s what they really want to see happen.”
The source says Timberlake may be on his own for awhile. “It’s a shame his friends can’t just be there for him, but they have their opinions, and they disagree with his choice to dump Jess.”

I’ll buy that JT’s mom likes Jessica for whatever reason (even though JT’s grandma hates Jess), but I’m not going to buy that JT has friends who are anything but “bros before hoes” types. Does anyone buy that JT has friends who are “Naw, dude, I ain’t gonna go clubbin’ witchu, ‘cause you need to call Jessica and work on yo’ relationship”? And… scene!

Kaiser, your instincts are right…I think these articles are brought to us courtesy of Jessica’s publicist! I remember reading lots of stories in the past about how his friends thought Jessica was too clingy for Justin, and about how they were fighting all the time. I remember the grandma doesn’t like Jess stories too. I think she is just desperate bc without Justin, she is just another failed TV actress trying to break into the movies. Jess needs to remember how Cameron was traded in for her. Looks like the same thing is going down…perhaps w Rihanna?
mommy and Madelyn Rose, I think you both hit the nail right on the head. I completely believe this is all Jessica’s doing to get Justin to stay with her. It makes her look really pathetic, by pulling the mom angle, especially, because she knows how close Justin is with his mom.
Well it is always a great idea for other people to tell someone who they should or shouldn’t be with, because it always ends up so well (not).
I have no idea if the story is true or not, but if it is, then it is sad that others are telling a grown man who he should love and not love. It’s his life and if he doesn’t want Oatmeal, he doesn’t want Oatmeal.
I don’t think they even brokeup. There are pictures of them having dinner together a week or so ago.
I don’t understand why people hate Jessica. She’s not terribly talented but she’s not alone in that. Justin is talented but he doesn’t seem to be a very nice person so why he should be too good or too cool for her is beyond me. In fact she might be that one who dserves better.
I’m with you, Pole. Jessic has consistently conducted herself with maturity and grace. (OK, maybe not the comments about being “too pretty” but I have a hunch that’s an excuse directors use to let someone down easy) I think Justin’s lucky to have her.

I find it telling that she’s been in Vancouver a few weeks, flies down to NYC and then flies back to Canada again, all without swinging by Vegas where Justin has prominently been for a good week or so, hosting a major event. Hmmm. Sure they don’t have to spend every waking minute together but I’m not seeing a whole lot of effort with these two.
Ok does no one read the tabloids? This approach did not work for Jennifer Anniston, she is still tight with Brad’s mom. I will go on through life completely puzzled by the swooning of women over this nebbish dude with a severe blackcent. Seriously is there that big a scarcity of men in Hollywood? All he seems to do is play golf and party with his a-hole friends when he is not mistreating some of the prettiest women ever photographed. He looks like Woody Allen on steroids (mild ones)and acts like he looked in the mirror and saw Brad Pitt staring back at him! No wonder his Mama wants him to stay with Jessica(if true) she has had a look at him, figured out he is not exactly the pick of the litter and fears the rest of the world will find out the Emperor has no looks!
