I’ve never gotten drunk with my mother, but it’s something I’ve always meant to do. I’d imagine it would be a lot of fun, in a judgy, where-are-my-grandbabies sort of way. I was reminded of this when I looked at these photos of Madonna and Jesus Luz exiting a club in downtown New York last night. Mama got her drink on, yes? And Jesus has to make sure Mom gets home alright. Jesus was actually working last night - he was deejaying at the party for the DVD release of Valentino: The Last Emperor. He’s only been DJing for a few months, but Jesus Luz is already landing coveted gigs at top celebrity parties.
The Brazilian model is finding it certainly helps to have friends in high places after he landed a job mixing records at fashion designer Valentino Garavani’s star-studded party.
Reunited after the singer’s recent trip to Malawi and London, Madonna and Jesus looked happy to be back in each other’s company as they left The Standard Hotel in New York last night.
Looking younger than her 51 years, Madonna looked slim and toned in a pair of leather trousers and a woollen waistcoat and matching coat. Co-ordinating with his girlfriend, Jesus, 22, showed off his model physique in a tight-fitting black T-shirt and trousers.
The party was held to mark the DVD release of retired designer Valentino’s documentary Valentino: The Last Emperor. With Valentino as the guest of honour, his presence drew Hollywood friends and Manhattan socialites to the bash.
Among the guests was Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, Adrien Brody, film producer Daphne Guinness and socialites Ally Hilfiger and Olivia Palermo.
Providing the entertainment was Jesus, who spun electro house tracks on his decks. Despite expectations to play some of his girlfriend’s music, Jesus said Madonna preferred not to hear her own songs socially.
He said: ‘Sometimes I’ll play something by her. But she’s here tonight and she hears her own stuff almost every day.’
Although working as a full-time model, Jesus has been encouraged to follow his musical interests since he starting dating Madonna last December. Over the summer, the Material Girl was rumoured to have spent £30,000 on DJ equipment for him and asked her tour DJ Enferno to give him lessons.
Jesus has already set up a MySpace page for his DJing and uploaded recent mixes. He has already lined up gigs at the Rivington Hotel Penthouse and Kiss And Fly club in New York over the next few weeks.

I would actually guess that Madonna is a pretty fun drunk. In my mind, Madge drops the faux-British lady act and her Detroit accent comes out when she’s drunk. She probably likes to dance and be the center of attention at the club, much like she wants that all of the time, every day, forever.

LOVE the pic with her tongue sticking out. BTW, anybody who thinks Madge is Jewish by now should check out the huge cross on her neck. And, she baptized Rocco. Anyway, where IS Rocco? We saw David in Africa, but secretly, did she give up Rocco to Guy?

No Audrey. You are not alone in this world. I think his eyes are really close together and one looks bigger than the other and the whole chin/jaw area doesn’t appeal to me. Maybe he has a really good personality?

Yes, but she is still going. There is probably no one better than her to play to the media and get attention. Others that do generally turn into basket cases. Madonna is still going strong.
So you have to hand her credit where credit is due. Doing well what you have always done at 50 plus, in a world that thinks you are past it once you are 30 is nothing to be sneered at.
Although she is a complicated person, her music is catchy as hell. In the pop world, all you need is air-time. Music, film, TV it is all the same!
Although she may have missed a trick. 22 is hardly a child. She should have aimed younger!

I am tired of Madge’s attitude like everyone else…
BUT I feel like she has gotten that msg loud and clear and is trying to be a decent person. She’s eating pizza on Letterman, drinking in clubs, joking in the press, etc… OMFG… she’s real! Who cares if he had to take care of her… not like he would have the DJ job (at this party) without her! She’s done a lot for the boy… anymore she’s damned no matter what.
