Kristen Stewart’s sad face and fug dress at the London New Moon premiere

Maybe this outfit is too “high fashion” for my tastes. Maybe I’m not cool enough to get it. But only one word comes to mind when I look at this dress. That word is “fug”. It makes me sad. It obviously makes Kristen sad too, considering she looks either depressed or like she’s forcing a smile in all of these pictures. Does she know that her dress sucks? Anyway, here’s Kristen Stewart and the New Moon gang at the London premiere Wednesday night. In a weird coincidence, I was wondering the other day if Sparkles had the same kind of sketchy, ridiculous, violent Twihard fanbase in his home country, England. Now I know – he does. And the English Twihards are just as f-cking crazy. The Daily Mail reports that Twihards had written “Bite Me” on their faces (probably in permanent ink), while one girl had a handmade poster that read… chuckle… that read… giggle… okay, this is what was written: “’You’ll look at me with eyes that see and we’ll melt into each other’s arms.” Damn it, English Twihards! You are killing me!

Already being touted as the next Hugh Grant, 23-year-old Pattinson is the star of the series of films, high school dramas about a teenage vampire. Such is the popularity of the films, which are based on the books by US author Stephanie Meyer, that many are tipping the franchise to become even more successful than Harry Potter.

Around 2,000 hysterical fans- almost exclusively women – descended on south London and queued in freezing conditions to meet Pattinson and his co-star Kristen Stewart, 19, who were hosting a question and answer session.

It was arranged to appease fans distraught that the film’s makers had ditched plans for a London Premiere of the second film in the series. A further 2,000 fans had been allowed inside the venue. They had beaten tens of thousands of other hopefuls after applying through the Twilight fansite.

Mere mention of his name was met with deafening screams from the crowd. The reaction was extraordinary given that just six years ago, he was still a schoolboy with minor roles with a local amateur dramatic society. He even had to take small time modelling jobs to find his education at the 13,500 pound a year Harrodian school in South West London.

Tonight’s scenes were even more manic than last year when the first film premiered in London. That film – released last November – made more the £50m pounds in its first three days at the box-office. It has since gone on to make more than £300million.

Pattinson now has hundreds of fan sites dedicated to him. Many fans had been camped outside the venue in Battersea Park since 8am yesterday morning with hundreds travelling from countries such as Bulgaria and Spain in a bid to meet Pattinson and the rest of the cast.

One fan, Elisa, 18, who arrived with a sign that read, ‘Robert, bite me’, said: ‘I’ve come all the way from Spain and been here all day to try and make sure I got to the front. I’m obsessed with the films and the books. Robert is the most handsome man I’ve ever seen he’s the main reason I’m here.’

The star is rumoured to be in a relationship with his co-star Kristen Stewart, who appeared underwhelming in a green skirt and top, although the pair did not reveal anything as they walked the red carpet with Pattinson saying: ‘It’s speculative.’

Ms Stewart, 19, chose to concentrate on how they behaved on-screen. The actress said: ‘Any good relationship that I’ve ever had with an actor has always been so emotional and personal. If you don’t have that then you’re just lying.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Oh, yes. Sparkles is “the next Hugh Grant” – barf to that. But I love that his answer to the romance rumors was “it’s speculative.” That’s cracking me just as much as the crazed Twihards. And, in case you didn’t get enough of Sparkles (and who could?), Radar did a sort of “Sparkles’ Greatest Hits: The London Recordings” (stuff from the London press conference), in which Kristen and Taylor Lautner were obviously in attendance as well. Radar has the video up, and I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t watched this thing three times already. Sparkles’ natural voice kills me – his accent is so lovely. But, if you do watch the video, watch how he takes a gulp of water – he’s a strange drinker, yes? It’s like he’s trying to French kiss the glass. Here’s Radar’s transcript of the greatest hits:

In the world wide promotional tour for New Moon, the three stars and the director sat down for a press conference on Wednesday in Rob’s hometown of London, and he was quite charming talking about the changes he deals with in his everyday life.

“It’s such a novelty to me still,” the scruffy vampire heartthrob said about the fame and fan attention he receives. “If I’m still stuck in hotel rooms in 10 years and I have figured any other way to deal with it other than hiding it probably would annoy me a little bit.”

While we didn’t see any romantic interaction between Rob and Kristen at the press conference, Rob and Kristen were spotted Tuesday evening holding hands as they left Paris for London. Sitting in between his co-stars during the press conference, Rob gave Kristen a playful elbow to answer a question, but alas, that was all the touching between Bella and Edward. Taylor stepped in and answered the question, saying “I’m always surprised by fan reactions.”

When asked what he missed RPattz said “I guess I miss doing open mike,” and we’re sure fans would love to see the leader of the Brit Pack perform a song or two. “I really miss driving,” Rob confessed. “I never had a car in London and so I got my car in LA last summer so I only had three moths driving without 10 cars following you so I’m scared to drive now.” Kristen smiled as he told the story, and we’re sure she sympathizes with having so many people follow her.

[From Radar]

Yeah, Kristen watches him pretty much every time he speaks. She’s not really giving him a look of love, or even a “come over here and kiss me” look, but there’s something… sweet about the way she is with him. She seems very girly to me all of a sudden, like she’s not as concerned with being so hardcore.

  1. She’s probably just depressed from having lost faith in humanity… I would be too if I were constantly exposed to twihards :/

She should at least try to fake a smile convincingly, after all she is an actress, thats her job.

Outfit.. ew.. hair.. ew.. but the girl’s skin an her eyes are just gorgeous. She may be smug, boring, bitchy, whatever but damn she is a pretty girl. And when he actually “fixes” his hair.. sigh.. pretty pretty kids.

It’s easy with all the Twihard hysteria to forget these people are not their characters; in video, they come across much differently than in just print stories.

Frankly, Sparkles seems a little dim. He looks and sounds like someone just roused him from bed fifteen minutes ago and he’s still hungover. And why was Kristen rocking side to side in her chair? At least she doesn’t seem as emo and sullen “in person.”

Aw, I actually liked Kristen’s outfit…or I should say, I didn’t hate it. I swear I could listen to RPattz all day. His voice is amazing and I’m glad someone finally noticed that RPattz taking a sip of anything is pretty much the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.

I like the outfit a lot also. The colors are pretty and it’s youthful without being slutty. It also very flattering on her.

Who thought this sweatshirt would make a good dress???

Kristin is probably just really tired of the red carpet hysteria and wanted to stay in and watch ‘Golden Girls’ reruns at home in bed that night.

I lover her dress. And RP seems very smart and funny in interviews, just not “typical”.

I’d take these two over any bleached, plastic-titted, vapidly grinning idiots any day.

Her make up looks nice, but I’m over the whole Kristen Stewart- “I’m too cool for this hoopla” ‘tude she sports. So ungrateful.

Dakota blows her out of the water as an actress.

I think she’s going to turn into another Katherine Heigle. Spoon fed a great role that could jump start an awesome career but ends up burned out and ungrateful. At least, that’s how she’s come across to me lately.

Uh ewwwwwww. She looks like a cross between the Breakin’ movie up top and then someone turned one of those shirts that are scrunched up and then it stretches out when you put it on into a skirt. And then those shoes? Maybe if she had chosen some fun funky shoes and put her hair up and had a smile on her face she could have at least worked the badness.

She Who Must Not Be Named – ‘bleached, plastic-titted, vapidly grinning’ = hilarious. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

I like the fact she’s not overprocessed or plastic, but she’s pretty vapid. She’s one of the biggest potheads out there. I’ve seen countless pictures with her blank glassy-eyed stare, wearing potleaves on her clothes. Not exactly the best role model out there either.

Geez, everyone is always so ridiculously hard on this girl! Here’s my 2 bits — she’s absolutely stunning, and at nineteen she appears to be shouldering an enormous talent that’s worlds above most other actresses at that age. She consistently brings intelligence and wit to her performances, something that the catalog-models turned “actresses” that are her contemporaries can only dream of. I can think of a dozen great actors and actresses that also had personalities that were more reticent than might be optimum for the twihard delirium, but that hardly makes her bad at what she does or have a bad personality. Oh, and I dig the dress too :)

  16. CC says:

I’m sorry, she is not stunning or gorgeous. She’s cute, but not some exquisite beauty. Most of the great Hollywood beauties have a feature that makes them stand out, ex. Elizabeth Taylor and her eyes, Audrey Hepburn and her bone structure, Angelina and her lips. But this girl…nothing. She looks like someone you would see walking down the street. Which is nota bad thing, it works for her character, but still.

That sound you just heard? The painful death of the last shred of my hope in humanity. The only thing I’ve got left is my hope that natural selection will kick into overdrive before the majority of the Twihards start spawning.

I dont thinks she is sad and moody as people keep saying.. I think its just the way the girl looks. Like she can help that! And Bella is moody in the books so yeah..
Her skin looks gorgeous and so do her eyes. Im starting to really like this chick.. She is not a Hollywood cookie cuttd kind of a girl.
