Is Emma Watson being styled by Courtney Love?

emma3

Over the past few years, I have started really liking little Emma Watson, the young British girl in the Harry Potter films. She seems like she’s got a good head on her shoulders, and she usually comes across as a very classy young woman. So imagine my surprise and dismay when I came across these Vs. Magazine outtakes of Emma looking like she’s taking style tips from Courtney Love and Taylor Momsen. What the hell?

Now here’s something that we’ve never seen before; Harry Potter’s very own Emma Watson looking like quite the naughty little minx in a couple of outtake photos from her Vs. magazine photoshoot. Well, at least to me she looks naughty, and I’ve definitely never seen her look that hot… ever. Now I don’t know if it’s because of the sultry look she’s unleashing, or the way she’s applying her lipstick, or that see through dress she’s wearing, or all of the above, but she’s definitely making me want to teach her a few of my own magic tricks.

Emma, put away the eyeliner. Put away the lingerie. Put away the cheesecake poses. You’re a pretty girl, but you need to be styled correctly, or else it all falls apart. Now, I will defend Emma here though – she rarely participates in these kinds of less-than-wholesome photo shoots, and she’s probably still trying to find a public image that’s less squeaky-clean, you know? And it could totally be worse. Totally.

well this is just work, in public she never dress up like that. I’m certain this was some genius-producer ideas so no big deal. Emma’s always the same.

Woo! And these are the OUTTAKES? So I can assume it will be a gorgeous spread.

    My other thoughts–
    A) Courtney doesn’t own the disheveled/vampy/smudgey look. It was around before she did it, and it will be around much longer.
    B) Just because Hermione is smart, Emma shouldn’t be stuck dressing like a school girl forever.
C)A photospread to accompany an interview isn’t a real reflection of the actress or her sense of style. Emma Watson was not the director of that shoot, I guarantee. If she was, they’d make a big hullaballoo about it (see BP’s photos of AJ et fam)

  3. Black Cat says:

Yeah, ’cause nothing says “classic beauty” like runny meth face eye makeup and Courtney Love’s crusty cast off lingerie hand-me-downs. I’d chalk this up to nothing but a bad stylist for this shoot.

  4. benny says:

She’s a cute girl, but she has zero acting “talent.” Hopefully she saved up enough money from the Potter movies to support herself for life.

  5. Brooke says:

Actually, I think the juxtaposition of her lovely and seemingly sophisticated actual self against the grainy, Trash&Vaudeville ethic of this shoot is brilliant.

  6. Simon says:

    She looks incredible. Very hot!

  7. Julia says:

Let the girl have some fun and blow off some steam – it’s only a photoshoot. Not like she is living a la Lohan/Love in her real life is it?

  8. kermit says:

Just a photoshoot. I don’t even think she’s pulling off the look.

  9. Rossonera says:

I saw this images about 6 mouths ago… after this she already made photoshoots for other magazines with a “clean look” and Burbery’s ads.

Why talk about this photos after half year?

  10. Stephie says:

Hehe, she looks like a little girl playing dress up.

    CB
Overblown headline for a non story.
    Whats up with you????

  12. Lenore says:

Ironically, the extra lippy and eyeshadow makes her look so much younger – like a little girl who got into her mother’s makeup kit.

  13. snapdragon says:

she’s too pretty a girl to be posing so skanky. this should be lindsay lohan’s photoshoot.

  14. Ruby Red Lips says:

    She looks great!

@ Kaiser, I am British & it sounds like you may have taken on board the stereotype of a ‘classy’ Brit a little too literally just as Madonna mistakenly dressed as the lady of the manor – obv as all Brits do – when she married Guy & moved to the UK.

Emma dresses well, but just because she looks well put together doesn’t mean by partaking in this shoot she is any less ‘classy’ (horrible word btw for a young girl)

    ummm.. dang!

  16. ashleigh says:

It reminds me of Brooke Shields in Pretty Baby. The overdone makeup and the sexy clothes make her seem much younger.

  17. tooey says:

I think it’s just the constant need to sluttify girls/women cuz all females should aspire to looking like the football team, lacrosse team, basketball, baseball and soccer teams all ran a train on her in one night. Booorrrinnggg.

  18. Vanessa says:

    Ugh.

  19. kimit says:

Does anyone know the dates on this? I’m pretty sure it’s an old shoot, I’ve seen it used around in polyvore since last November (I think)

  20. crazydaisy says:

stupid creepy look. and what’s wrong with her tongue? maybe it’s forked, like a witch thing.

  21. Arthur Daly says:

She *is* a classy piece but like a couple other posh birds I could mention, she actually has some “serious respect” and a naughty reputation on the London party circuit 🙂

    ^^^Ditto.^^^

While many another seem to have dropped the most-valuable idea of everything, what you stated before is complete and consice. I am avoiding enunciating that I agree along all details; all the same, I have to admit that you did handed me cause to think about numerous of the concepts that I imagined that I viewed as as undeterred beliefs in that affects. Convincingly told, and now for someone like myself to think a bit more connected to a couple of many of the major ideas. Summarizin it is clear that you have did a job well done..”
