Heidi Montag: “I’m not in a great place right now”

Heidi Montag is still trying to get attention from all of that plastic surgery she got several weeks ago. Even though she claims she doesn’t regret it, and that she wants even more done to her already jacked face and body, Heidi now tells People Magazine that she’s “very fragile” and that she’s “not in a great place right now.” Ya think? Apparently, though, Heidi’s not “fragile” because of all the crap she’s had done to her body and face, she’s “fragile” because she “confronted” her mom and her mom looked at her like a “circus freak”. So Heidi has spent the last few weeks struggling to get by with weekly massages and therapy. Oh, brother.

It’s been 11 weeks since her life-changing plastic surgery, but Heidi Montag is still very much healing.

“I’m very fragile,” she tells PEOPLE. “I’m not in a great place right now.”

The long road to recovery hasn’t been an easy one but Montag, 23, with weekly massages, exercise and therapy, has been working hard at the process. Still, setbacks like a stressful trip back home to Crested Butte, Colo., to confront her mom, have pushed back her healing some.

“I was hysterical the whole time,” she says of the trip. “It was so hurtful. My body really set back from recovering from all the crying, stress and that traumatic experience.”

Says Montag: “My insides were just throbbing and pounding but I know it’s part of what I had to go through.”

Despite the pain, Montag is very sure of one thing: there are no regrets. “I’m thrilled,” she says. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”

[From People]

Sigh… I just don’t get it. I never have. Heidi is a circus freak, and her mom isn’t the only one who looks at her like that. I don’t understand how we’re now supposed to have sympathy for Heidi because she got a million elective procedures and she’s struggling because of it? And do you think she’s really “the happiest” she’s ever been? I don’t.

She went from being naturally pretty, to a plastic Kewpie doll – why do young women in Hollywood need to make over their looks to resemble over inflated blowup dolls – it isn’t a very attractive look nor is it in anyway appealing.

Twenty-three and doing all of that sh!t to her face when it was so unnecessary. It’s only downhill from here, baby.

Awww, you had ELECTIVE, unnecessary surgeries and you feel bad physically and emotionally about it afterwards and I should feel sorry for you?

And she sure makes sense: “I’m not in a great place right now. [...] I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”
    Which one is it?

“I’m not in a great place right now.”

    does NOT jibe with

“I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”

either you’re happy and in a good place, or you’re unhappy and NOT in a good place.

I think she does regret doing all those surgeries but doesn’t want to admit it and (pardon the pun) lose face.

Like so many others, she thought that making herself “pretty” on the outside would fix her inner self-loathing. now that she realizes it hasn’t, she probably hates the way she looks but can’t do anything about it.

If this whining, simpering twit is the happiest she’s ever been in her life, she must have been as miserable on the inside as she looks on the outside.

And am I the only one who’s sick to death of hearing her talk about this crap? Heidi, you did this to yourself and you PAID FOR IT! Shut up already. Anyone defending her own actions to this extent is NOT happier than she’s ever been; nor is she happy with (public opinion of) the results.

  9. princess pea says:

“confront her mom”? About what? Don’t try to drum up my sympathy with a half-story, Heidi; you went home to SHOW OFF and surprise, Mom didn’t love it.

Also, wasn’t she just telling us a couple of weeks ago that her mom loves her new look and how she’s going to get her mom surgery next? And now she thinks that her mother is only upset with her because Spencer was holding Heidi’s hand instead of Mommy? I’m sure it’s nothing to do with the expensive and extensive physical mutilation, dear, nothing at all.

Finally, THIS is the crap I’m talking about when I say that some people have vast resources to get help compared to normal folk who struggle to get well. She’s depressed, so she’s having weekly massages. And I’m supposed to feel pity?

Her mom should be upset. I’d be upset if my daughter went to LA, turned into a fame whore, and mutilated her face, then came home acting like everything was better than ever. Something is so obviously wrong and everyone but Heidi can see it. Even Spencer thought it was all a bit much.

Reality television is becoming the demise of our society.

Sure her body was set back after she saw her mom. She cried, which hurt her poor face. I wonder if she could even move it when she cried.

It makes me think of that episode of Real Housewives when Lynne (who had recently had a face lift) was bawling, but her face never moved. It was sad, in a way. But I still laughed.

Awwww, I feel a little sorry for her. It must be heartbreaking to go through so much physical pain (albeit self-inflicted), only to realise when the bandages come off that you’ve carved yourself up and there’s no going back to the youthful, fresh-faced girl you were before. I’d be gutted, and I don’t have to wake up to Spencer Pratt!!

I think what she needs to do is go visit a pediatric oncology floor of a hospital. Children with terminal cancer. Go visit them. Look at their little faces and know they will not ever get the chance to grow up and whine and complain about their looks. Know that their looks are the LAST thing they or their parents are even concerned about.

That’ll give her some perspective. If she can grasp it.

I don’t think the statements about being “not in a good place” and “happiest I’ve ever been in my life” are necessarily mutually exclusive, here. I can buy that someone as delusional, shallow and desperate for attention as Heidi Montag obviously is, has probably never been happier. I.E. she’s just never been happy.

She’s got an image in her head of PERFECTION that she can never possibly attain. She’s probably had that image since she was a kid. She’s had as much surgery as her body can probably take and she’s still not perfect, so yeah, this is really as good as it gets for her, and it’s not good enough.

I’d be in a bad place too. I just feel pity for the poor cow.

When she gave her first televison interview, she called herself “fragile” at least twice. Now again with the fragile? If you have to say you are, then you’re screaming for attention so people will be nice to you.

There’s another recent print interview floating around where she says getting the surgery was to benefit her music career, because “that’s what pop stars do.”

You know, 15 years ago, I had a life saving liver transplant. Since then, I have had 4 more surgeries. They weren’t to make me beautiful or sexy or look younger. In fact, I am now 64 and my husband loves the scars that crisscross my abdomen because they mean that I am ALIVE! I am so sorry for Heidi that her self ego is so low that she has to look like a Barbie doll. We think that she was extraordinarily beautiful before her surgeries. God made you what you are. Don’t change anything else is there is even anything left to alter.

i find it disgusting that she was allowed to undergo this many procedures in one day let alone at all at her age. i strongly believe in plastic surgery in moderation. There was no need for her to have all the work she had done. As someone who has undergone an enhancement, i also asked the doctor to go bigger and he said due to my frame and the amount of skin i had, i could not go bigger or at least he would not go bigger on me and i trusted his judgment although i’m sure i could have found some idiot elsewhere that would have told me otherwise. I also know he would NEVER ever in a million years perform these procedures on Heidi, it is dangerous, impractical and should be means to lose your license. He also denied me lipo on my stomach because he said, “i didn’t need it.” i believed him because he is a professional. Foremost, a surgeon needs to be your adviser and it saddens me and disgusts me that her surgeon accommodated all of these procedures..I am thankful I had someone who wasn’t after my money instead doing what was best for me.

Did she stop to think how insulting all this surgery would be to her mother? “Mom the genes you gave me suck so I got a whole new face and body?!” Its basically saying to her mother that she thinks her mother is ugly! 44. Kim says:

Getting surgery this extreme is only way she can get attention. She cant act, she certainly cant sing or dance so the tabloids are her income outside of the Hills – which how much longer can that show last. Her and Spencer both know tabloids keep you in the public eye so they milk them for all they are worth.

At least most celebs in the rags are actors, singers or have some real talent not just reality show dumbies. Heidi and Spencer arent stupid in knowing they have no real talents and NEED the tabloids and these kinds of extreme stories to keep them in the limelight. Their 15 mins is going to be completely over in a year if that so they are milking all they can while still in public eye.

Just the latest brick in the wall Heidi is building. Her mother and father were on The Hills a few times and they seemed like regular, nice people. From Where Heidi started, college kid, living with one of her best friends, naturally cute kid, this descent must be hard on her folks. If you saw the episode where they met Spencer, MAN! Then she drops out of school. Marries Spencer. Practically cut her family out of her life. Now she’s hacking her body up. Her parents must be at the end of their rope. What can they do? Legally she’s an adult.

Pitiful. I kind of feel badly for the girl, but not for the reasons that have her fishing for sympathy. The girl is a weakling, pure and simple. After seeing her “before” and “after” pictures, I think she looks better now, even though she has a plastic face. However, those eyelashes (or makeup or whatever that is) doesn’t do a thing for her. Her features are very fair and soft, and those starck eyelashes interfere with her good looks rather than enhance them.
