On Tuesday, a federal judge “released” information about Prince Harry’s visa records. The information was a document dump of almost entirely redacted/blacked-out text. The British and American media had spent years sharpening their knives and screaming “cocaine, deportation, Harry lied” over and over and then the court was like, lol, nah. Yes, I’ve seen Nile Gardiner’s spectacular crashout too – he’s the Heritage Foundation douche who has made it his mission in life to get Harry deported from America. Gardiner’s likely alt account just got exposed this week, but we don’t need to get into the weeds on that one. Meanwhile, I read through the Times of London’s coverage, which was surprisingly not written by a royalist wingnut. I thought some of you might enjoy these highlights:
The department of immigration and citizenship said that releasing “[Harry’s] exact status could subject him to reasonably foreseeable harm in the form of harassment as well as unwanted contact by the media and others”. Jarrod Panter, the chief freedom of information officer at the DHS, said the department “routinely protects from disclosure the non-immigrant/immigrant status sought by third parties who do not have permission from the beneficiary to receive this information”.
Charles Kuck, an immigration attorney based in Georgia, told The Times there was nothing unusual in the judge’s decision to withhold the documents.
“Not only would it be illegal for them to release this information, it would be a federal crime for them to do so,” he said. “I’m surprised a federal judge was convinced to take it this far. I guess I’m going to ask for Elon’s (Musk) file now and Melania’s (Trump) file because isn’t it in the public interest there as well?”
Experts have speculated that Harry could have used an A-1 Head of State visa, which entails less stringent security checks and would have allowed Harry to come and go from the US frequently with no limit on the duration of his stay. Residing in the US on an A-1 visa would make Harry both immune from prosecution and exempt from paying tax to the US Internal Revenue Service.
“Prince Harry, if he is on an A-1 Head of State visa, will remain US tax nonresident regardless of his presence in the United States,” said Clayton Cartwright, managing member of The Cartwright Law Firm. “It keeps private to Great Britain not just the foreign assets Prince Harry owns, but also other assets of the royal family on which he is listed. It is good diplomatic practice,” he said. Cartwright noted that it would, however, mean Harry was not on a path to citizenship as he could be with a green card, making him more vulnerable in the longer term to possible deportation.
I mostly avoid speculating about what kind of visa Harry has because it’s not any of my business and it’s not the Heritage Foundation’s business either. But given how thoroughly Heritage’s attempts have been shut down over and over, I do think it’s probably pretty likely that Harry does have one of the more elite visas like an A-1. It would make sense if it was one of the rare ones, because the few people who have looked at Harry’s (unredacted) records are immediately like “wow, nothing to see here, folks!” As for Charles Kuck’s comments… I’m shocked that the Times even published them. What’s that? If Heritage got their way, Harry could sue the sh-t out of them and the DHS? You mean Heritage has been demanding that DHS commit a federal crime by releasing Harry’s records?

“What’s that? If Heritage got their way, Harry could sue the sh-t out of them and the DHS?”
And oh, how I wish he would anyway — Harry has more than proven that he has the time, the patience, the money, and the cojones to pursue a long-term serious lawsuit, and it would be purely BEAUTIFUL if he ended up owning the assets of the HF.
But I’m sure there are good legal reasons for him to let it go, since they once more spectacularly failed.
Though one does have to wonder how much longer the courts in this country will have any power or integrity left at all…
Federal crimes are not out of the question with the Trump regime. I think Harry probably does have the elite visa and Trump knows it. That in itself would cause him to be more cautious with Harry because he is in awe of royalty in general. Also, like Charles Kuck, I am surprised it ever got this far.
Came to post the same, federal crimes are almost welcomed by this administration.
Commit a federal crime and Trump will pardon you before awarding you the presidential medal of freedom. At least, if you are on Trump’s side. If you’re not on his side, he will accuse you of a crime that you never committed and maybe isn’t even a crime.
I am suspicious that William is somehow involved, considering how he authorized the fake report by Knauf.
So all of this was simply another form of harassment for Harry and Meghan. We see you Niles, William, Kate, Charles, Camilla and Daily Fail et al.
After Harry’s win over NGN, I think this is The Times sending a warning to the HF that they aren’t participating in this line of inquiry anymore, nor will they be supporting them.
If Harry sues HF, HF stands alone. No support from Murdoch given the billions already spent on settling the phone bugging cases.
The word you used” anymore” was important. agree on your take.
murdoch has egg all up on his face its in his hair
Harry’s backbone and values shook murdoch
I wonder if part of th e deal accepted was Murdoch cant harass H and M. And if it is traced to him consequences ensue
Except M is being harrassed in papers, so maybe those publications aren’t under MurdOch’s umbrella? Or murdoch has to search for rando’s to hide behind to cover his tracks, like justine and pippa’s sister in law to m ea n girl meghan. Or murdoch has to choose to just close the lid /call of the dogs on some of the obvious murdoch supported harassment- like the HF passport fiasco clearly started to pressure harry to buckle while arguing with murdoch in court
If Harry wins the next lawsuit and harassment slows or ceases – how nice it would be to have murdoch and owners leashed- not asking papers, editors, writers , randoms to stir up wind about h&m for a paycheck.
Is he still listed on anything connected to the RF? If he is, I bet it is an A-1 visa, because you know they don’t want anything revealed. And when he moved to the US, QE was still alive and would have helped out.
When they moved, his name would have still been on the lease for Frogmore, at least, and technically still is a Counsellor of State. I would assume there are other accounts or properties that maybe he would be on given his position in line for the throne and relation to the now-King.
Even if Harry wouldn’t still be listed as Counsellor of State, he would be eligible for a diplomatic visa since he is a member of a reigning royal family.
“22 CFR § 41.26 – Diplomatic visas.
[…]
“(c) Classes of aliens eligible to receive diplomatic visas. A nonimmigrant alien who presents a diplomatic passport or its equivalent shall, if otherwise qualified, be eligible to receive a diplomatic visa if:
(1) The nonimmigrant alien is within one of the following categories, irrespective of the classification of the visa under § 41.12:
(i) Heads of states and their alternates;
(ii) Members of a reigning royal family;”

After the egg on their faces due to them hyping up basically a blank piece of paper for months, and Nile Gardiner’s ridiculous tantrum over being denied the ability to see someone’s personal information because they ” may” have lied, I think some of these newspapers are going to try to go a little more underground with their support.
Can’t imagine that this is even getting much support among royalists, outside of the most deranged. The idea that someone has to prove that they didn’t do something wrong, that you have no evidence of is ridiculous. And I agree with the lawyer, I don’t see how it got this far other than the judge maybe thinking this is ridiculous and I want this to have all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed so that there’s nothing to even hint at regarding impropriety.
I would imagine that all royal born family members were given A1 visas long ago even when they were children. Even Archie might have one. Maybe they want to know what assets he has so they can harass him and his family in the media even more. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have property in other places in the US like on the east coast etc.
It’s just one big harassment scheme to make his life unlivable and drive him back to the bubble under control.
Nile Gardiner reminds me of Kenneth Starr
It’s interesting that the Time chose to ask actual experts after the judgement and not before. I guess they wanted their readership to believe that Harry was going to be deported.
Someone should absolutely start harassing for Elon and Melania’s files. Definitely in public interest. Elon has definitely taken drugs too (and many more and harder) – does that mean he should be deported too?
