What does the couple who has everything do for Valentine’s Day? Well, they hang out with Sean Penn (oh really?) and take the kids to Benihana. Hmm… that might be better than Britney Spears Valentine’s Day, but it’s still not what I would expect. Actually, they took the kids to Benihana on Friday night, and Life & Style has the details… including some stuff about Angelina’s love of shrimp! Epic:
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie put on a stunning display of togetherness when they took their three eldest children for a Valentine’s Day eve dinner at the Benihana restaurant that was a childhood haunt of Angie’s.
“Angie’s been coming in here since she was 2-years-old, an eyewitness at the restaurant tells Life & Style. “She’d come here with her parents and brother and loved to sit at the table and watch the chefs cook her shrimp.”
Bringing her own family recaptured fond memories for Angie.
“She came with Brad, Maddox, Pax and Zahara,” says the eyewitness. “She obviously took great joy in re-creating the experience of her childhood as the children enjoyed the spectacle of the food being cooked. They were all smiling and laughing.”
The chef prepared a Valentine’s Day treat by turning the kids’ vegetables into heart shapes, while Angie enjoyed her past favorite, shrimp with vegetables and edamame. Brad had Kobe beef.
“Brad and Angelina looked so happy,” a second witness tells Life & Style. “He stroked her neck and hand, and they kissed several times and looked on proudly as their kids used chopsticks and enjoyed their food.”
The family looked as happy as ever and, says the eyewitness, “completely in love.”

That’s nice I guess. I can’t imagine Empress Zahara enjoyed watching her food being prepared. Unless it was cookies. As for the Sean Penn rumors, that came from Us Weekly, who reported that Sean spent the whole day with the Brange at their LA home. There is absolutely no detail about what that’s all about, but I do not like that Brad and Sean hang out together. Sean is a horrible influence for Brad. Maybe they were discussing Madonna? You know Angelina can’t stand the Madge.

oh, restaurants like that are so much fun! watching the chef (if he/she is good at it) is almost better than the meal. I’ll bet the kids had a blast watching that.
I also went one V-Day, and they made our fried rice into a heart shape. Wasn’t Benihana, but a similar place.

They are all in Venice and there is a small pic of Angie holding one of them and Brad holding the other, but can only see part of the one Brad is holding. They even brought thier bulldog. Must be for the movie she is doing with Johnny Depp. I think they will be there for a few months.

I have to laugh at how L&S writes this like some grand sweeping story – it’s a “stunning display of togetherness” and “re-creating the experience of her childhood”. Good grief, they went out to dinner.
Brad spent V Day with recent costar Penn? Clearly they must be having an affair, or faking one for publicity for their movie. 😀

In all seriousness, if they’re happy, or if they had problems but are working on it, that’s great. A breakup and the ensuing media frenzy would be rough on the kids.
@Praise: I went to a place like that in California called Tokyo Wako. The chef had some mad knife skills. It was a lot of fun to watch. The food was scrumptious, too.
Hopefully Brad is only spending time with Sean regarding a film. Otherwise, nothing good comes out of hanging with Sean Penn.
Totally agree about the language, lucy2. Normal people go out to dinner, Brad and Angelina “[take] great joy in re-creating the experience of her childhood.” Regular people are happy, or in love, but Brad and Angelina are “SO happy” and “COMPLETELY in love.” It’s like they’re living in some epic romantic story and we’re all in Dick and Jane or something.
ETA: Penn is well-known for philanthropy, too. Could be something to collaborate on there.

How is Sean Penn a bad influence on Brad Pitt? I think Brad is a big boy and can think for himself. Honestly, the comments from the moderator of this site are ridiculous sometimes! Sean was on Larry King last night speaking about his great concern for Haiti. He is a humanitarian as are Brad and Angelina….they have plenty in common.

Brad and Sean are in “Tree of Life” together and the movie will supposedly be at Cannes this year. Also, Sean has interest in NOLA and Haiti. So the three of them have a lot in common. It’s not so strange that they spent the day together. Not everybody thinks Valentines Day is all that special. And Brad won’t be “influenced” by Penn. He’s a 44 year old man. If he can still be badly influenced then he needs to grow up.
As for Benihani . . . what a great place to take your kids!! The food is good and the show is even better.

Where are all those insiders that can hear private conversations.. YOU mean none of them could drop a line and tell the rags that Brad and Angie had loaded up 6 kids and their pet bulldog, boarded plane and landed .. JJB has great shot of the family out and about.
Makes a person with a brain wonder just how real the tab stories are. Really they are lies.. they know nothing about the coming and goings of this family..They are all running a story on Sean and an Olive tree.. but nothing on them leaving LA.

Essie they already made up the story Jen told Brad she can’t be with him so Brad reluctantly went to Venice w/ his family. He regrets leaving her and having 6 kids w/ Angie oh and he is jealous of Gerard because his body from the Mexico pics is better than Brad’s. Idiots at US Weekly so Sean came by the house on FEb 14th and now he is sharing Valentine’s w/ them . It would be funny if they were already in Europe Sunday
