Justin Timberlake’s mom quotes horror classic: Jessica Biel is “one of us”

This is Jessica Biel leaving the William Rast show yesterday. As many know, the William Rast label was started by Justin Timberlake and his best friend Trace Ayala, and Biel just had to show up to support her man (re: mark her territory). Lainey at Lainey Gossip said the funniest thing about Biel’s appearance: “Of course clingy Biel wouldn’t miss this opportunity to tag along on his star. Check her out, leaving his apartment this afternoon, freshly blown out, very dressed up, almost too much for William Rast, fronting like she’s regal and elegant Michelle Obama styles. The wife of the Pipsqueak.” While I love Biel’s coat, she’s not wearing it correctly. She’s got it all bunched up and it makes her look hunchbacked. Gross. She doesn’t deserve that coat. She needs to give it to me.

Anyway, “clingy” Biel got her attention, and she got a little something extra: the public support of Justin’s mom Lynn. Lynn told People Magazine all about how much she loves Biel and how Biel is “one of us.” Which is a line from a horror movie, right? Children of the Corn? I just looked it up… it’s from the horror classic Freaks. Awesome. But there’s method to Lynn’s madness – she wants more from Biel than just visits from the “grand puppies”. She wants grandchildren, dammit!

It was a family affair at Justin Timberlake’s William Rast fashion show on Wednesday: The singer’s parents Lynn and Paul Harless sat in the front row next to his girlfriend Jessica Biel, whom Lynn calls “one of us.”

“She’s amazing. She’s so down-to-earth and her family is great,” says Lynn, adding that her son and Biel click because “they’re both very funny and creative.”

Not to mention thoughtful. “They’re always trying to out ‘special’ each other,” says Lynn. “They’re pretty openly affectionate.”

Timberlake’s longtime friend and Tennman Records artist Matt Morris and Vogue editor Anna Wintour also watched from the front row as models showcased the fall 2010 collection, which Timberlake and best friend Trace Ayala created to convey a “nomadic discoverer,” says Timberlake, 29. “The landscape of the Midwest was really the prominent theme that we kept coming back to,” he also said. “It was really inspiring.”

During the show, which was sponsored by Sony, Biel, 27, often leaned over to whisper to a friend in the seat next to her about the different looks. Models donned military-inspired coats and foxtail-covered shoes. “Tonight is my first time seeing the whole collection,” Biel told PEOPLE.

No surprise considering the actress’s active schedule. Along with promoting her new film Valentine’s Day, she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro last month to raise awareness and funds for the global water crisis.

Mom Wants Grandchildren
“She was at my house around Christmas and there was this crazy noise coming from my gym,” says Lynn. No, it wasn’t Santa.

“To get ready for the climb, [Jessica] had the treadmill to the highest level and was running with a 40-lb. backpack,” says Lynn, adding with a laugh: “I want to be her when I grow up.”

So, is Biel “The One” for her son? “You should ask him. I’ve thought that before,” Lynn says with her fingers crossed. “They’re young. They have plenty of time.”

Just don’t wait too long, Justin. Mom is eager for tiny Timberlakes.

“I’ve had friends who have grandchildren and I’ve tried to express to him that I’m losing that race!” she says. “But I have grandpuppies. Justin has two boxers and she has a pitbull who’s now part of the family. I said I’ll leave you alone about the grandkids as long as you leave the puppies with me.”

[From People]

Aw, that was actually a really sweet interview. Lynn sounds like she genuinely likes Biel. But isn’t it strange that Justin never really says anything even remotely as sweet as this? Still, I’m back to buying that Jessica and Justin are together for real, although I do think they probably broke up for a little while last fall/winter. But she clings so well, and he didn’t have the energy to dump her for real. That’s how I interpret this.

I actually don’t think they were ever apart. Just another tablooid story. They were probably as much apart as Brad and Angie. And I really dislike this “clingly” think . Notice how we only use it for women. Perhaps it was Jessica who wanted out and Justin was “clingly”.

what do we know about jessica and her relationship with Justin that makes everybody dislike her so much. Yes I know she’s barely relevant so why are we making her relevant over her irrelevancy?
She can’t go out an support her boyfriends business endeavor without claims that shes leeching onto his star. So what she was just not supposed to show up? and dammit when i’m representing my man i’m gonna come out strong. Ive never seen her use Justin to her advantage.
That said i think she seems so clingly becuase Justing seems so aloof. If he was more attentive and spoke more about her she wouldnt seem so desperate. The relationship seems kind of one sided but whatever floats their boat.

BTW IMO the coat would look better if she pulled her hair back

I know I am being mean, but there is something about Jessica Biel, which just rubs me up the wrong way. I don’t evenn know her, which makes my feelings towards her irrational in the extreme.

Might have something to do with her dating that poseur, ewww, which again is irrational I don’t know the guy but I can’t stand him.

  4. prettytarheelfan says:

I think she’s gotten too skinny-the coat probably fit better when she had more muscles.
I agree with Naye, too, if I’m going somewhere as my husband’s wife (as opposed to representing my own business affairs), I’m definitely bringing it.

  5. Jazz says:

I’ve seen Freaks. “One of us… one of us!!”

  6. Lindsay says:

The coat kind of looks like a bathrobe. Maybe it no longer fots. She has lost some of those muscles she was known for.

  7. Alarmjaguar says:

I can’t help it, I really like Jessica Biel. She’s beautiful and seems nice (although not brilliant). I’m not sure where all the hate comes from.

  8. Hannah says:

    Ha I love Freaks!

And yeah, she’s wearing that coat like a bathrobe.

  9. terry says:

jessica is hot! Best butt, the high cheekbones. Justin is a lucky guy!

  10. bella says:

I’m pretty sure I’ll draw the ire of others, but I like Jessica, and I like these two together. They seem to have similar interests; they are outdoors-y, they like doing sporty things together; they just seem to fit. People are unnecessarily cruel to Jessica, and I don’t care why; I think it’s wrong. It’s also a bonus that his mama likes her, since she hasn’t liked anyone he’s been with in the past.

  11. Eileen Yover says:

She’s a pretty girl, but if I have read one more interview with her whinning because she’s too beautiful to get good movie roles, I’ll gag.

  12. saphira says:

“They’re always trying to out ‘special’ each other”.

Ewww, the cheese factor is off the charts with that statement.

  13. Lil says:

Live her alone, I agree 100% with Nale!

  14. ering says:

I’m with almost everyone else in that I don’t get the ire towards her. She goes to her boyfriend’s show, and that makes her clingy? That’s what girlfriends do.

  15. Squirrel says:

Well whatever else I don’t like (and there’s a bit), must give her some respect for trying to (velcro-)stick to her ‘man’ despite him to most of the rest of the world looking like a 14-year-old wannabe.

  16. ien says:

    LOVE freaks
    “gobble gobbe we accept her!”

    love biel, not so much.
& shes WAY too dressed up for william rast

  17. ess r says:

They are both gay. Their fake relationship is just a cover for it.

  18. bo says:

    SHOES!

    SHOOOOOOOOOES!

Louboutins? Where are those spammy comments with links to knockoff sites when you need them?

  19. Pia says:

I’m so tired of hearing her being called clingy. What do we really know about their relationship? They clearly prefer to keep it private. And of course, because they’re not thrilled when paparazzi are around we think they’re angry and miserable together. It’s all speculative nonsense.

Yep she hates the paparazzi lol

  21. cookie says:

I agree, I don’t mind this girl leave her alone. She hasn’t done anything wrong or clingy, just supporting her man and looking lovely too. Lainey needs to get over it.

  22. Lisa says:

Yeah, I agree with @Eileen Yover. Biel really turned me off with the whole “I’m too beautiful to get any acting jobs” interview. It was just so gauche! The girl may be pretty, but there definitely isn’t much going on between her ears.

  23. ThunderC*nt says:

It would have been funnier if she said Jessica looked like she should be pulling a carriage over in Central Park but she has no idea of the workings in NYC.
