This is Heidi Klum’s April Marie Claire cover. As fans of Project Runway know, Heidi is wearing a beautiful turquoise one-shoulder cocktail dress designed by one of the designers competing in this season’s PR. They actually made the cover outfit a challenge for the designers, and a dude named Anthony Williams won. I actually agreed with the judges’ decision that time around, and you can see why. This color and style just pops on the Marie Claire cover, and it feels very “fresh”. Plus, you know, it’s really hard for Heidi to take a bad photo. Well done!
Anyway, it doesn’t look like there are any significant interview excerpts. Williams, the designer, told the magazine: “Heidi’s pregnancy was happening right before our faces! he laughs. I thought, this woman is not sacrificing fashion at all. She is 100 percent full frontal ‘I am pregnant, I am fashion, and I am fierce.’ I was really inspired by that.” Here’s one short excerpt from Marie Claire:
Ask any woman to strip down for the camera five weeks post-childbirth, and she’ll laugh in your face. Ask Heidi Klum, and she’s totally game. At our cover shoot, the supermodel, mother of four, designer of two maternity lines, singer, host of Project Runway, and now virtual host of the series’ video game, joked that she might not fit into anything — then easily slipped into everything. The MC fashion team had one objective: Create strong, powerful looks worthy of the königin of all media. Minimal, architectural pieces in dark, sophisticated tones highlighted the woman who has it all — and does even more.

Nice. Something I’ve noticed about Heidi through watching all of the seasons of PR is that she’s gotten much more vocal and opinionated about fashion and everything else. I think she’s really come into her own throughout the series, and I hope PR continues for years to come.
Sidenote: I forgot to mention this in the Oscar fashion posts, but Chris March from Season 4 not only designed Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes dress, but her Oscar dress as well! Sigh… I love PR!

‘German’ beauty. She’s attractive in a way that needs to be qualified, not in a universal way. Like how “African” or “black” models are qualified…..She’s actually quite common as comparedto may others

BTW, she has brown eyes and while they were photochopping the color, they should have photochopped her eye focus. Her eyes are all over the place, like an inbred’s.

Her expression in these photos makes her look odd to me. (like they said “smile!” and she wasn’t in the mood and tried to fake one as a kid would by kind of showing her teeth & kind of not)

Never understood all the fuss about her. I think she is average looking at best.Besides I Can’t stand her shrill annoying voice.She does have cute kiddies and seemingly nice husband though

I agree with Kaiser,, Love PR, love the Anthony Dress, and Love Heidi. My favorite thing about her is that she is a gorgeous gorgeous woman (regardless of color creed nationality or race) and she has strong opinions that she voices, in the arena she has expertise. She isn’t afraid to be blunt or to make the tough call. She doesn’t let her beauty get in the way of her opinions.

Holy photoshop , Heidi haves a great body but she is not that skinny. We all have seen her in her underwear so why are they trying to fool us?
I love her but I don’t know why she is hosting a show about fashion when she was never a fashion model , she was a lingerie and swimsuit model.

Just because she wasn’t a fashion model doesn’t mean she doesn’t know anything about fashion. She works in the industry and has for years. Plus she has Michael Kors and Nina Garcia helping her judge and they both have plenty of fashion expertise.

Sorry, disagree! This cover is very so-so unless you like the focus on her armpits. Her face, especially her mouth, looks wierd and she is also Photoshopped to within an inch of her life. Not to nitpick but she could also use some voice lessons…she sounds an awful lot like Minnie Mouse.

Love that Anthony won this challenge. Don’t always love what he designs, but I live for the moments when the camera is on him because he is the funniest and most charming. Heidi, who has a voice like Minnie Mouse, could really be replaced with anyone else as a judge. It’s all about La Nina and The Duchess Kors.

I agree with Trillion, Anthony is the funniest one there but I believe that the show without Heidi Klum or Tim Gunn is not worth watching. The judges can be replaced by any other designer or magazine editor.

Well, Heidi would have to fire herself since she is one of the producers of PR!!
Anyway, I love Anthony and he’s probably planning his assult on the magazine store, as we speak, buying up every copy to send to his friends and family. The dress is a beautiful color.

I think Heidi Klum is beautiful, because not only is she visually attractive, but she is a smart business woman and is known for having a beautiful personality.

I know people love her because she’s beautiful, but she seems a bit of a ho to me. She got pregnant with a rich, old, fat, Italian businessman who dumped her as soon as he learned she was pregnant and denied paternity. Sometimes these moves pay off (Selma Hayek who actually convinced her rich old man to married her after she had his kid), and sometimes they don’t (Elizabeth Hurley, who’s billionaire boyfriend kicked her to the curb after she got pregnant (and after he specifically said he didn’t want kids)). Heidi is in the latter group.

Wow I didn’t know Heidi had so many haters, although I do love the inbred comment about her eyes in the photos above, they did screw that up. I really like her and her family. She and Seal seem so genuinely in love with each other and their children that I hope it is real. Go Heidi!

I don’t understand how anyone could describe her as anything but absolutely beautiful. She has 4 kids and she looks that good? Can we figure out what her genes are and give them to our women?

How could I have forgotten Gunn! If he left, I, like a zillion others, would simply not tune in. Last season Nina and Kors were largely absent. So having them back this season really shows how vital they are to the judging. I watch PR Australia and PR Canada religiously. If Klum were replaced with PR Canada’s Iman, I’d be in heaven. Now THERE’s a host/judge/fashion icon.

Same happened with Mary Louise Parker - is she a ho too? Trust me, Heidi doesn’t need that old man’s money - in 2008 alone she made $14M - not too shabby. You act like these women (Selma, Elizabeth and Heidi) got knocked up for the money when each of them have money of their own. Couldn’t be that they loved their men and happened to get pregnant? Nice misogynistic outlook! And since when was 47 (Selma’s husband’s age) old? She’s just 4 years younger than he is. Get your facts straight please before spouting off crap you have no idea about.

Fire, $14mil in Hollywood is not that much. I don’t know how much Selma and Liz make, but I’m sure it’s not that much. Their old BILLIONARIE “boyfriends” were in a whole other league, financially.
