Michael B. Jordan went to In-N-Out to get a Double-Double after the Oscars

Two photos side by side of Michael B. Jordan holding his Oscar at the VF Oscar Party and eating a burger with it sitting on the table at In N Out
As much as I love all of the fashion and gossip that comes out of the Academy Awards and its many after-parties, one of the things I most look forward to is finding out which award winner took their statue on a post-ceremony pilgrimage to In-N-Out. If you had Michael B. Jordan as this year’s Oscar winner to show up at In-N-Out on your bingo card, then congratulations! Before changing into his incredible brown suit and heading to Vanity Fair’s party, MBJ and his Best Actor statue made a pit stop for a Double-Double. He also celebrated with fans, signed autographs, and posed for pictures.

After winning an Oscar for playing a double, Michael B. Jordan celebrated by ordering a Double-Double.

In several viral videos (watch below), the Sinners star shocked and thrilled customers at an In-N-Out Burger by visiting the humble fast food joint after winning for the Academy Award for best actor on Sunday.

The grinning actor was greeted by cheers and shouts of “congratulations!” from the crowd — and he was still holding his gold statue.

Jordan bested some very tough competition to win his first Oscar, including top rival Timothée Chalamet in Marty Supreme, along with Leonardo DiCaprio in One Battle After Another, Ethan Hawke in Blue Moon and Wagner Moura in The Secret Agent.

I mean, can you imagine sitting there, enjoying your burger and fries when Michael B. Jordan suddenly walks in with his Academy Award? I’m sure by this point, In-N-Out employees are prepared for famous people to show up on Oscars night, but it’s still a really cool tradition. If I ever win an Oscar, my bucket list item would be to do the In-N-Out visit. I’d eat my D-D animal-style while wearing my red carpet dress. Michael looks so happy in the videos that are going around social media. Heck, everyone looks so excited to be a part of MBJ’s Oscars celebration. He had two Double-Doubles in that tray, too, so he must have been really hungry. I’m so happy for him and jealous of everyone who was there. It looked like so much fun.

Everyone was so excited for him. Very cute. I have never had an in-and-out burger🥲 being an east coaster.

    • Lamb Chop says:

Yes! It’s so damn cute. I’ve been to la a lot but never in and out. I’ll likely not go back to the US again, not these days, but a double double animal style sounds perfect 👌👌👌

    • orangeowl says:

I’ve never been there either but if I ever make it to LA I will be sure to try it. Going there on Oscar night would be so much fun. As a fan of MBJ since his days on All My Children, I want nothing but the best for him.

    • RMS says:

I used to go for work often and the In-n-Out by LAX was either my first or my last stop when I was there. Crazy crowds there, but a great way to either re-enter or say good bye. I haven’t been in years and I started salivating when I saw this article!

After seeing that alleged “Snack Box” I don’t blame him running to get substantial to eat lol. It’s very cute though and as I’m currently rewatching Sinners, I can’t feel proud even though I didn’t do anything!

    • Neeve says:

Yeah the way the Oscars do their seating i understand they cant serve steak or lobster ,but those snack boxes were just pitiful.

  3. GMHQ says:

The two burgers are no doubt for the Oscar Sunday and the other for Fruitvale Station for which he should have won the Oscar years ago but didn’t.

  4. SIde Eye says:

The brown suit is fire! I love that he won and everyone was so happy for him.

  5. Neeve says:

I heard he used to work at In n Out burger, not sure if its true.

    • Nicole says:

Doubtful. He’s been acting forever and is an east coast (New Jersey) guy. In n Out is a west coast chain that still hasn’t made it to the east coast just yet. Also, he was on a soap opera and did the first season of The Wire when he would have been working there.

I am the parent of a young child, so I barely get the chance to watch any movies. My husband and I made it a point last night to just stay up late because we really wanted to watch Sinners. Holy Smoke and Stack, that was intense! I’m still thinking about it this morning and probably will be for a while. Michael’s Oscar and the other Oscars the film was awarded were well deserved.

    • Lala11_7 says:

@Sue…if you go on #YouTube and type #Sinners analysis…my G-D…the WEALTH of info you will get deconstructing the movie✨️🎬✨️ #Sinners is TRULY an inspiration for SO many and the level of analysis for MANY of the entries could EASILY be shown at Harvard or Oxford❣️

  7. Jferber says:

Michael B. Jordan is the man of the moment and I hope he will be for many years to come. There’s no way he looks 39.

  8. Christine says:

This is my local In-N-Out, and for the first time ever I am totally bummed that I didn’t go hang out on Oscar night. How cool for everyone who was there!
