Does Sarah Jessica Parker’s daughter have a Mohawk?

Here are some new photos of Sarah Jessica Parker with one of her twin girls, out and about in New York this morning. Much like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, I have no idea which twin is Marion and which is Tabitha. They’re both adorable, of course. Look at this one’s sweet little chubby baby legs! However, I’m starting to wonder if SJP and Matthew have a hard time differentiating too, because it looks like they gave one of the baby girls a Mohawk.

Now, I’m not judgy. This little girl is too young to be irreparably damaged by her parents giving her a Mohawk. But it’s funny, isn’t it? At first I was like, “Oh, her hair is just a little weird, it’s just standing up in the front”. But it’s not! This baby’s hair is shaved on the sides, and it’s long on top. SJP, style icon, gave her baby a Mohawk.

Anyway, it’s good to see SJP spending time with her these babies that she wanted so badly. There were reports that she was worried she wouldn’t have a chance to bond with them when they were babies, just because she began filming Sex and the City 2 like two seconds after Tabitha and Marion were born. Well, SATC wrapped, and now SJP gets to spend some quality time with her babies and their Mohawks.

it doesn’t look shaved to me, the hair just grows quicker in the middle on some babies…my niece was the same way

  2. lmae says:

I hope you are kidding about this. my baby’s hair grew in just that way. she did NOT give her baby a mohawk. you can see on the side, that it’s fuzzy, not cut hair.

  3. My best friends kid lost all the hair around her head – like shine bald – and had long hair on top. If a child spends a lot of time laying or sitting against something the hair on sides and back will either fall out or break off. Could be? Could be another freakin’ baby-hawk!

  4. Tess says:

    Awwww, the baby is adorable.

I’m neutral on SJP and MB and so haven’t really followed the story of the twins’ birth. Is it known if the babies are the couples’ biological offspring?

And before the hounds of hell descend on me for asking….my parents were adopted and I think adoption is lovely.

  5. Ana says:

My daughter’s hair did this. At night when I would lay her down to sleep she would move her head from side to side constantly until she fell asleep. It rubbed all the hair off except for up top!
But I have wanted to give her a mohawk and dye it pink. My husband said no. 🙁

  6. Kaiser says:

Okay, okay, maybe she didn’t give her baby a Mohawk. Maybe the hair is just growing in like this. But it totally looks like a Mohawk, doesn’t it?

Ana – That would have been to cute! A little pink Mohawk. SJP is going to steal that idea.

  7. Ana says:

Haha sorry to be such a party pooper Kaiser!

It would be cute but my husband would kill me. I have to settle for faux-hawks in the bathtub.

  8. ! says:

So tired of her self absorbed, rent-a-womb garbage. She looks more like an auntie how with her niece, not a mother.

  9. Fluffy Kitten Tail says:

    Not a Mohawk.

  10. ashleigh says:

@!: It must be awesome to have no fertility problems. You have my sincerest apologies about the lengths I (and other infertile women) have to go to in order to get knocked up. It must be really difficult for you to see that.

  11. alexandra says:

What is the big deal if she gave her baby a mohawk. Why the women here are up in arms about it? I agree with Kaiser. Too cute

  12. canadianchick says:

Baby looks like her dad. I’m happy for her and glad she’s making time to bond. @ashleigh well said, I hear you.

  13. mel says:

The babies are adorable… I dont think she would do such a thing and they are way to young to sport such a hairdo.

  14. RobN says:

@ ashleigh. She doesn’t have “fertility problems”. She’s 45 years old; a time when your body naturally becomes less fertile. It’s not even close to women who have fertility problems at 25 and choose to adopt. What she has is a busy schedule, a failure to recognize that nature doesn’t wait around while you make money and a husband whom she doesn’t have sex with because he’s probably gay. So she rented a womb.

  15. Lizzard says:

I agree that it’s not supposed to be a mohawk and probably isn’t an intentional cut just the way it’s growing in. But it is too freaking cute for words! I think it must be pretty windy since I think the wind is making it look more like a mohawk than it probably is.

  16. asiont says:

I would give my baby a mohawk, I don’t see anything wrong in it.

  17. Novaraen says:

Not a mohawk…just the way babies hair sometimes grows. My son had a Jean-luc Picard(Patrick Stewart for those who don’t know Star Trek) going on for awhile…was the cutest!! Bald on top and hair all around the sides. When the top started to grow in…it was just a little raised up tuft of hair in the middle of the top of his head. Very cute.

  18. Iggles says:

Rented a womb? Why so harsh about her decision to have a surrogate? It’s a personal decision and good for her that she was in a position to have options for expanding her family.

  19. Amy says:

    That is an adorable baby.

  20. No she does not.

  21. city says:

@! I totally agree w/ashleigh – the struggle with infertility is something that can not be explained unless you experience it.

  22. girl says:

I wouldn’t be so quick to judge why and how this family decided to expand their family.

I’ve been through infertility and it is not fun at all. Good on them for being able to have more children in a way they chose.

Oh, and I vote the hair just grows that way. It is a pretty common pattern for a baby’s hair to grow in. I’ve worked with hundreds of children and have seen it a lot.

  23. Sunnyjyl says:

Too cUte! Love that baby face.

  24. Rianna says:

How is this news? Children’s hair grow differently. My daughter had hair at the front before the back. It looked like an assbackwards mullet.

  25. CT says:

My son had hair that looked just like that and it was considered to be adorable by everyone from his pediatricians to random people on the street.

And on the comment about an Auntie with her niece? Oh brother. I’m betting my 40 year old ass – who happens to also have toddlers – is looking better than a lot of “girls” much younger than me. Hmmm, see how generalizations sound so stupid? Nevermind, you probably won’t get it.

  26. sickofit says:

i dont mind about the hair, but what temperature is it in NY right now? Its still the beginning of April right? why is her baby not wearing a cap or trousers? isnt it too cold for that look?

  27. Ellen Smith says:

It has been in the high 70s and low 80s the past 6-7 days. My son was out with a t-shirt and shorts and was hot.
