Everyone knows that Kim Kardashian was married once, right? She eloped with Damon Thomas in 2000, when she was 19 or 20 years old, and they divorced 4 years later. I knew that Kim was married before, but I always thought she was married to someone older and traditional, but as it turns out, she was married to some dude named Damon Thomas, who is quite a bit older than Kim, but I wouldn’t really call him “traditional”. Unless your definition includes “wife beater”. Allegedly. This is according to Star Magazine, who are totally SHOCKED that Kim was married, much less to a wife-beater. I think Star must have gotten their hands on the legal papers of Kim’s divorce…? Here’s a photo of Damon, he’s the shorter one:

In newly uncovered court documents obtained by Star, Kim claims her husband of four years — a partner at Underdog Entertainment, who has worked singers including Pink and Katharine McPhee — flew into jealous rages, punched her, threatened her life and instructed her to get plastic surgery to improve her body.
One terrible incident Kim recalls occurred the day they were supposed to be taking a fun trip skydiving with Justin Timberlake.
“Before we left our home, Damon hit me in the face and cut my lip open,” Kim claims. “I fell into the bed frame and banged my knee hard. I was limping when we went skydiving.”

As you may recall, Kim Kardashian secretly married music producer Damon Thomas in 2000, and her family only learned about it when Kourtney found her marriage license.
The two divorced in 2004 and Star has court documents Kim filed in which she says Damon beat her and threatened her life. In the papers Kim describes how Damon made her ask permission when she wanted to leave their house, wanted her home at 4:30 to cook him dinner, and gave her money “for liposuction that Damon suggested I have because he wanted me to be perfect.”
The article describes in detail physical abuse Kim claims she suffered, including being punched in the face on multiple occasions, strangling her, and threatening to kill her and her family. Kim also says her father Robert Kardashian once “called me, outraged, to tell me that Damon brought nude pictures of my sister to his office, showed him the photos and said, “Your daughters are whores, and I have the pictures to prove it.'” It’s unclear which sister she’s referring to, but either way it’s horrifying.

Alright, this actually makes me have sympathy for Kim. She was with this dude for four years, and she was so young! No wonder Kim looks like she’s going to cry every time Khloe hits someone. It’s like PTSD or something. Battered woman’s syndrome, maybe?
Of course, it could just be that Kim has f-cking terrible taste in men. Judging from this, and from her recent “fling” with Cristiano Ronaldo, she probably shouldn’t be making her own dating decisions. OK and In Touch Weekly had more on the Ronaldo stuff, by the way. According to OK (via Jezebel), Kim’s fling with Ronaldo made Reggie Bush jealous (uh, really?), AND Paris Hilton wanted to get back with Ronaldo, and she and Kim may catfight for him? Ugh. Also, In Touch Weekly’s source agrees that Ronaldo is a douche: “He doesn’t seem like a guy you’d want to date if you want to settle down and have babies.” Yep.
Star is only a few years behind on this story – they talk about most of what is said above on the Kardashian show. The pictures he brought to show her dad were of Kourtney. He re-released them again once the girls got famous/had show. The FBI comes to the house on the show to discuss the photos etc. There have been entire episodes on this so I take it Star paid Kim for this not so exclusive story. The girls cant do any more how i lost 10 pds stories so had to come up w/ another angle to stay on tabloid covers (their careers =(

It was a known fact that Kim was married previously before the Ray J sex tape…it was just kept quiet because it was of no media whoring interest to anyone now that she is not a national headline since Reggie Bush dumped her…this is why she is going aboard to stay relevant.

I have a friend who was in the same ‘secret adolescent marriage to an older man who moonlights as Satan’s Cup Bearer’. I remember when she started seeing the fellow and how he set off alarm bells in all of our heads. Follow that up with his ridiculous spending habits, categorical refusal to ever getting a job and his baffling lack of shame in making no secret of the fact that he was marrying her only to stay in the country and we were frantic. We were still in high school then, so we did what any good, yet under-aged friends would do: We squealed to anyone who had ears to hear. Teachers, parents, counselors, Kid’s Help Hotline. Nothing doing. One day during the summer, I ran into the girl who acted as witness at the elopement–they went to city hall straight after class. She was blinded by teenage infatuation and a lack of self-confidence. Unfortunately, his fists removed all of that honeymoon promise for two years. Eventually, she was able to leave, but it was a pretty harrowing time.
If this story about domestic violence is indeed true then it is very unfortunate and sad. No one deserves to go through that, especially being used and abused from someone you love and that they are supposed to love you.
As for him asking her to go under the knife so she can be “perfect” for him, I would not put it past him, it is always the ugliest guys who happen to have more confidence then they should that act that they are God’s gift to people.
You’d think someone who had been through that kind of trauma would be kinder to animals.
@Bella I agree about the men thinking they are the cat’s meow. Sounds like he was trying to be Papa Joe to her and control her to make money. I have never heard them talk about him being abusive on the show or interviews though. She doesn’t seem to have good taste in men though. Reggie is a hot piece of a** but every picture of him he looks a bit arrogant. And I think she is just wearing too many and too long eye lashes giving her that squinty face.
Domestic violence and abuse – whether emotional or physical – can happen to anyone. It begins so slowly that even the most well-adjusted women can become victims.
Good for Kim for getting out.

When somebody is slimmer, her face changes and the face also looks thinner. It doesn’t necessarily mean that a plastic surgery is done.
Again, i know that Kim was married but i never knew she was abused. I know how it is, no woman should pray to experience that. That road is difficult and bumpy, yea i know it. I wept knowing that about Kim because i so much love, cherish and admire her[all of their family members anyway]. I pity her. I must admit that Kim thought a lot of curvy ladies the pride to accept their bodies. Watching keeping up with the kardashian was the best. Hope she recovers from that experience and i thank God she left that marriage. Unfaithfulness:many women may forgive but physical abuse is a-no-go-area. No holy scripture accepts it.
I so wish i could be Kim for having the world champion as his fling. She is lucky. Whether Ronaldo is a playboy or not, it doesn’t matter, Kim should enjoy herself. Kim being married before is not a secret. This was mentioned on their reality show and the E! True Hollywood Story about the Kardashians. As far as Kim being abused, it appears that Star Magazine has gotten a hold of her divorce papers and it is sad that they would release this to grab headlines. Anyone with a brain knows that Kim and this “fling” with the soccer player will not last.
BTW – Kim needs to stop with the botox. It is very apparent and more media outlets are talking about her appearance.
