Sam Peckinpah’s ‘The Getaway’ had it all: car chases, explosions, gunplay — and a big juicy affair between the “The King of Cool” and the hot ‘Love Story’ leading lady, who was inconveniently married to studio chieftain Robert Evans at the time. MacGraw left Evans and wed McQueen in ‘73, but their ardor ran out of gas: They divorced in ‘78.
