Amy Fisher is all about giving the public what they want. Or at least giving a very small subset of the minority of the public what they want. Amy’s decided that her porn career is going so well (and even though I’m skeeved out by the thought, she’s not lying – she’s got a number 1 sex video), she’s going to take it up a notch, and bring her pole to a windowless, dimly-lit club near you.

THE inevitable has finally happened: Amy Fisher is hitting the pole. The Long Island Lolita - who went to prison for shooting Mary Jo Buttafuoco in the head and recently started a porn Web site featuring herself - plans to tour the country as a high-paid stripper. “I love to dance, and I’m an exhibitionist,” Fisher tells avn.com. “I am going to take this road until my fans tell me, ‘Dear, please put your clothes back on. Clearly, there’s nothing Amy won’t do for attention or money. And it’s best when it’s both. Fisher tried to rationalize being a porn star and being a good mom, saying one was her career and the other was her private life. On the one hand, if Amy’s sharing her vajayjay on some traveling road show, at least her kids are less likely to encounter it. Unless, of course, they pop the wrong DVD into the television. But then it occurs to me – might Amy be taking her kids on the road with her in her cross-country boob baring exhibition? It sounds atrocious and impossible, but I wouldn’t put anything past her.

You know the old idiom, “Porn stars can’t be good mommies?” Yeah, that’s a saying. Or at least I’m making it one. It strikes me as relatively good conventional wisdom. Anyway, Amy Fisher has turned all that on its head. Or she’s trying to. Amy says she can do professional porn – and strip at clubs – and still be a good mom. How? Well she conveniently divides up her business and family life, and says the porn is just her career, and has nothing to do with her ability to bundle her kid up in a onesie.

Sixteen years after she shot her lover Joey Buttafuoco’s wife, Mary Jo, in the head with a .25-caliber semiautomatic pistol, the Long Island Lolita is making headlines again. Amy Fisher, now 34, recently launched a career as a Pay-Per-View porn star and an exotic dancer, performing at strip clubs along the East Coast. Amy, who is married to her agent, Lou Bellera, 56, and has three children, Brett, 8, Ava, 4, and a 3-month-old boy, spoke exclusively to In Touch about her controversial new career and how she’s changed after spending seven years in prison for assaulting Mary Jo. “I’ve been through so much,” Amy says. “It’s time to have fun in my life.”

Why did you decide to get into porn?

I’m doing it for me, to have a good time. As long as you don’t mind taking your clothes off, it’s great.

How do you reconcile doing porn with raising kids?

Whatever I do in my private life is my private life. When I come home at night, I have my family. The kids are my whole life — this is my business. I give 100 percent to my kids and husband.

You gave birth three months ago. How did you get back in shape?

I work out two to three hours a day. I do a half-hour of cardio and weights for the rest of the time. My body looks great — I look phenomenal.

Do you think the public will ever change their perception of you?

I’m the Long Island Lolita who has always been known for a sex scandal. I’m not a criminal. I did something stupid in high school. I’m an adult now and I grew up. I think people are sick of hearing about it. It’s been [almost] 20 years – I’ve moved on.

What a handy way to compartmentalize your life so you can do whatever the hell you want and never have to question it. Amy Fisher could rationalize smoking crack in front of her kids if she tried hard enough. For her sake, I hope her quote about how “people are sick of hearing about it,” isn’t true, since her notoriety is exactly what she’s basing her porn career on. From photos, she does appear to be in good shape, though I would never have said her face looks phenomenal. She’s certainly no better looking than most of the other women in porn. People aren’t paying for her movies because she’s the hottest woman out there; they’re paying for them because she’s Amy Fisher. End of story.

It’s really not my place to say that a woman shouldn’t be doing porn because she has kids. Ultimately that’s her decision. But you can’t help but worry about what’s going to happen when her kids come home asking questions because little Timmy told them at recess that their mom gets naked and sucks things on camera. Pamela Anderson said she recently had to explain about her infamous sex tape to her sons. That’s an experience I think most parents would like to avoid.

In case the first round of publicity for Amy Fisher and Joey Buttafuoco wasn’t disturbing enough (Amy shot his wife Mary Jo in the face when she was 16 and dating the 36-year-old Joey), it seems they’re both releasing sex tapes. Amy’s was released by her then estranged husband, after her brief reconciliation with Joey last year. Joey now has one on the market, featuring him having sex with his wife Evanka.

We’ve already covered details of Amy’s, and now there’s Joey’s even more disturbing tape to come. Amy, who has now reunited with her husband, has decided that there’s no fighting the Internet and she’ll profit from the tape as best she can rather than trying to censor it. Joey, on the other hand, didn’t even know he was being filmed.

David Joseph, Red Light District’s chief executive officer, said Buttafuoco and his wife Evanka were caught on tape having sex while attending a party at (adult entertainment director Bob) Spalone’s home.

He said the couple were unaware Spalone had placed three hidden cameras in the hope of catching something interesting at the party.

“Spalone didn’t know that he had captured Joey and Evanka until a couple of weeks later when he completed reviewing the footage from the party,” Joseph said in a statement.

Joey won’t be profiting from the tape as far as I can tell, since it’s made by Spalone, and sold to Red Light District films by him. This is the same company that distributed the Paris Hilton, Chyna and Amy Fisher tapes. The latest celebrity sex tape is to be titled “Joey Buttafuoco: Caught On Tape”.

Joey has been working pretty hard on having a media profile lately. He’s appeared on Celebrity Boxing, he did the coin toss at the Lingerie Bowl with Amy Fisher (their first public reconciliation, before being seen dating in Central Park), and regularly appears on the Howard Stern Show. Amy Fisher has also been fairly publicity hungry, doing at least one promotional appearance for her sex tape, writing a book about her experiences and appearing on Oprah and other television shows with Mary Jo Buttafuoco. There was briefly talk of a reality show to be based on their 2006 relationship, but it never materialized and they both reconciled with their spouses.

Isn’t it safe to have sex anywhere anymore, without being filmed by someone? I mean, ignoring the fact that Joey was shagging in an adult entertainment director’s home, he should be allowed to have a little action without someone selling it a profiting from it. I wonder what the exact details of the deal are? Will Joey and Evanka get a actor’s fee?

If the adult entertainment industry keeps this up, people are going to think it’s a dirty business with no morals.

Though to be fair, that tends to be how most days are in the celebrity world, it’s just normally not so obvious. In slightly more random “celebrities,” remember Amy Fisher, the Long Island Lolita? Well she’s got her own sex tape. It turns out she recently reconnected with all-around catch Joey Buttafuoco. He’s the mechanic who she dated as a sixteen-year-old in the early nineties, and then shot his wife Mary Jo in the face.

Fisher’s husband filed for divorce and released their sex tape in retaliation. The pair have reconciled, and instead of going through the hassle of getting the tape removed from circulation, Fisher chose to just take some cash and roll with it.

When Amy Fisher publicly rekindled her romance with Joey Buttafuoco, her then-estranged husband, Lou Bellara, released a sex tape of himself and Fisher in retaliation. The sex tape video has already been leaked all over the net and is number one in porn tape downloads, so Amy Fisher has decided that instead of fighting a losing battle, she is going to make the best of the situation and endorse the sex tape so she can make some money.

“My husband, you know, released this. And you know what? It’s out there. I have two choices. I can sit there and say, it doesn’t exist, which it does exist, you know. Or I can do the intelligent thing.” Which for Fisher means making the best of the situation and making money.

Well, I guess there’s something to be said for just going with the flow. I had no idea that Amy had hooked up with Buttafuoco again. Two years ago Entertainment Tonight or the Insider (they all blend together anymore) did some really annoying series of interviews where they brought Fisher and Buttafuoco together for the first time and taped their ranting confrontations. They managed to stretch it out into segments over two weeks or something. Apparently hiding under all that anger was a lot of love… or a lot of psychosis. I can’t really blame Fisher’s husband for being pissed. It really is making the best of the situation: now they have her bail money for the next person she shoots in the face.
