Now that our faith in the gossip industry is waning, we’re going to call it like we see it. (For a day or two at least.) The reporting paper where we read this tried to make out like Lindsay Lohan was in a catfight with Cameron Diaz since they both dated the same guy at some point, but it sounds like Cameron simply asked Lindsay to stop smoking when they were in the VIP section of a NY club together:

Lindsay’s a nasty skank who thinks she can get away with whatever she wants. It’s been illegal to smoke in bars in NY for years now, so she should know better. She was probably pissed because she knew Cameron was right.

Meanwhile Lindsay still hopes to clean up her image with that humanitarian mission to Africa we told you about. She’s only considering it, doesn’t have a date planned, and it’s clearly all about making her look good:

Lindsay’s ready to try to get some good press for once is all.

Here she is in St. Paul, MN yesterday for the world premiere of A Prarie Home Companion. Stars were “carried in horse drawn carriages led by the Highland Park Senior High marching band down Wabasha St.”

The Duff and Simpson sisters happened to be at the same club in LA when Ashlee Simpson decided to call Hilary Duff fat. Haylie Duff defended her sister, and later talked smack to Jessica Simpson in the bathroom.

It looks like Ashlee and Haylie are the more aggressive sisters and it’s too bad there wasn’t an all-out fight between the two to report. Maybe if Haylie ran into Ashlee in the bathroom instead of Jessica there would have been more to report.

Ashlee is incredibly immature and petty but that’s not news. The Simpson’s rep is also pretty stupid if she’s giving quotes like “Ashlee thinks Hilary has perfectly lovely arms.”

Lindsay Lohan will pull an Angelina and visit local schools and clinics in Kenya as part of a charity trip with Bono’s One Campaign:

Lohan has plenty to do in the next few months. She has four movies finished which are due for release, “Just My Luck,” “Bobby,” “A Prarie Home Companion,” and “Chapter 27,” and will be shooting two more.

Interesting that this news was released a day after the story of the Lindsay and Jessica Simpson catfight. Lohan is said to have made Jessica Simpson cry in that incident, and has been dating 37 year-old director Brett Ratner this week.

Us Weekly has details of a spat between Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson that started when Lohan sent some drinks over to Simpson’s party at an LA bar and Simpson didn’t acknowledge the gesture:

Lohan and the Simpson sisters have a long standing feud that originated when Ashlee dated Lohan’s ex, big mouth Wilmer Valderrama. Lindsay even arranged to have Jessica Simpson turned back at the door of an MTV party she held last June.

We don’t think Lohan sent the drinks to Simpson in an attempt to make up with her – she was just looking for an excuse to lash out at her once her sister wasn’t around!

The Simpson sisters’ hairstylist and Jessica’s good friend, Ken Paves, said it would take him less than 30 minutes to do each of their hair for the VMAs. Gee, can you tell?

You probably heard this already, but I just wanted to post some of the many unflattering pictures of Paula Abdul. Abdul was out at an after-hours party in Hollywood when she ran into a former Creative Artists talent agent, Jim Lefkowitz, who is said to have been offended by her attitude. Abdul said that “a man she knew” threw her against the wall that night leaving her with a concussion and spinal injuries. Her attacker is assumed to be Lefkowitz, although that has not been confirmed.

Her exboyfriend was out with her and also suffered injuries that night. It is thought that he was defending her:

Abdul suffers from a neurological disorder called complex regional pain syndrome that may have made her injuries worse. She used the disorder to explain her erratic behavior on American Idol last season, but it does not seem sufficient to explain away her current problems on the show.

Guess the text messages that Paris sent Nicole in a bid to reconcile with her ex friend were just “words that she wrote” because Paris lost her patience with Nicole and has talked a bunch of trash about her:

Paris – your sister’s name is Nicky. It’s very similar to Nicole and all, but they’re different people.

Also, speaking of letting fame get to your head – what is up with this video of you taking your own picture over and over again?

Tori Spelling’s mom is pissed that Tori’s VH1 reality show makes fun of a room she has in her house that’s filled with her eBay purchases. It seems Mrs. Spelling hoards the stuff she buys on the auction site, and is rather sensitive about it:

Tori’s mom also hates her new branded fiancee, Dean McDermott, and supposedly kicked Tori out of the apartment she owns when she found out they were engaged.

Now that she’s disowned, judging from these latest pictures she could always become a spokesperson for ProActiv Solution. If the stuff works that is.
