I watched the second half of Lynne Spears’ interview on The Today Show and it’s more of the same from that woman. The 53 year-old divorced mother of three acts like there’s no way she could have anticipated the problems either of her daughters have faced and claims she tried to help them when she could. It’s like all she did was want the best for them and send them out on their own and then she got surprised when the world chewed them up. She talks about how much fun Britney’s fame was and how it was “rock and roll.” When Jamie Lynn told her she was pregnant, Lynne claims she did have a moment of self doubt as to how she could have contributed to the situation, but she talks in general terms and doesn’t seem sincere. Throughout the interview there’s a sense of cluelessness coupled with a refusal to face reality or take responsibility for her children.

On why Jamie Lynn went into show business too: it worked for Britney
Meredith: “A lot of people have criticized you as mom, said ‘You know, given what Britney had gone through… why would you expose Jamie Lynn to this business?’”

Lynne: “At that time when Jamie Lynn got involved in it, that was during the honeymoon period of Britney’s career. That was when everything was coming up roses… At the time I thought ‘Oh my God, I have this wonderful other opportunity for Jamie Lynn.’”

Meredith: “So you didn’t see any pitfalls along the way?”

Lynne: “No, everything seemed to just rock and roll perfectly. We were on tour bus, Jamie Lynn was with us with her girlfriend… everything was just fun. We were traveling with Britney…”

Meredith: “Then it turned from fun to something pretty heavy for any parent. End of 2007 your daughter Jamie Lynn tells you that she is pregnant. How did she tell you that?”

Lynne: “Actually I had just been to the doctor that day and she told me ‘Come on home, momma,’ because I was going to go eat after. So I came on home and I thought it was some little nothing.

“She hands me a note and tells me to go into the bedroom and read it. And Casey wasn’t allowed to come over during school days, so she told me he was coming to pick up his wallet, so he was there. So she handed me this note, and said that she was pregnant and everything was going to be ok, mom, that she and Casey were going to raise this baby…

“I came out I thought it was a joke… I kept waiting for the punchline. Then I noticed Casey’s feet on the coffee table.. Casey’s not like that and Casey wouldn’t look at me. At this point I knew ‘This is not a joke.’ I was in shock and then I started to cry. She started consoling me.”

Talks in general terms about whether she questions her role, doesn’t seem sincere
Meredith: “Was it a moment as a mom where you go ‘What did I do wrong? Why is it happening, now the second child?’”

Lynne: “As a mother, don’t we always blame ourselves? We’re the first one that’s going to get the blame. I mean, we never get the credit, but we always question ourselves and go ‘What did I do? We had this talk just a month ago.’ I had no idea, I mean.. I took a lot of the blame. I took all the blame. As a matter of fact, the personality that I am, it’s always my fault… mothers do that though.”

On Britney’s turnaround and comeback
Meredith: “When you look at where your daughter Britney has come since February. Your husband, Jamie, really took control of her life… It probably turned out to be the best thing…. Talk to me about who she is now personally and professionally.”

Lynne: “She’s strong, she’s resilient, she had some big bumps in the road, but Britney’s fine. Britney is headed to the top once again. I have no fears about Britney. We had a beautiful birthday party for the boys the other day. It was such a celebratory time.”

Britney is lucky her father sobered up and she had him on her side because there’s little chance this woman would have done much to help her. She just doesn’t seem capable of being a parent.

Last week, when Jamie Lynn Spears flew from Louisiana to Los Angeles to visit her sister Britney and attend the birthday party of her two nephews, Sean Preston and Jayden, LAX Airport police helped the young mom avoid the paparazzi crush by setting up a decoy operation. Apparently, another passenger on the plane bore a resemblance to Jamie Lynn, and she volunteered to pose as her at LAX, distracting the growing crowd of photogs assembling inside the terminal. Meanwhile, the real Jamie Lynn, along with her infant daughter Maddie and her mom, were escorted by cops off the tarmac, avoiding throngs of photographers. Well, the airport police who helped her now face an internal investigation by their superiors.

“It is not the policy or practice for Airport Police to provide a celebrity decoy,” LAX spokesman Albert Rodriguez tells E! News. “Airport Police has opened an internal investigation of the incident and will take appropriate administrative action if warranted.

“Los Angeles World Airports policy prohibits special courtesies to be provided to celebrities, unless extenuating circumstances such threat of danger to the individual or the safety of the general public are involved.”

Things got started when Spears, her new daughter, Maddie, and mother Lynne were escorted by officers directly off their Delta flight without even entering the airport terminal.

“Jamie Lynn left the airport via the tarmac because of the baby. It would never ever have happened if she didn’t have the baby,” a police source tells E! News.

While the family was safely whisked away, paparazzi in turn focused their attention on another young woman accompanined by several police officers. The police walked the camera-hounded girl out of the terminal, imploring shutterbugs to back both up and off, fueling the photographers’ belief that the escortee was a V.I.P.

“Unless extenuating circumstances such threat of danger to the individual or the safety of the general public are involved.” I would call a 17-year-old with a tiny baby, about to get stampeded by paparazzi, and “extenuating circumstance.” But maybe that’s an everyday occurrence in Los Angeles. It sounds to me like the airport police don’t feel they did anything wrong, and I tend to agree. If anything, the airport should change its policy regarding allowing large crowds of photographers inside the terminal. If they aren’t there on airport business, wouldn’t they be considered trespassers?

Britney Spears’ sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, turned 3 on Sunday and 2 on Friday, respectively, and Mama Britney threw them a good ol’ big-truck themed party! Britney and the boys partied it up family-style with Grandma Lynne, Grandpa Jamie, Auntie Jamie Lynn, and 2-month old cousin Maddie along with about 50 other guests. This should put to rest the speculation about the contents of Lynne’s soon-to-be-released book, which was falsely reported, a publishing insider told OK! Magazine, to contain a lot of stories about sex and drugs in Britney’s early teens, but it won’t. Celebrity friend tots also included on the guest list were Jenny McCarthy’s son Ewan and Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s son, Kingston.  Kingston partied all weekend.  He was at Heidi Klum and Seal’s son, Henry’s, 3rd birthday party earlier with the Beckham boys.  Sounds like a brat pack in the making to me.

In typical spoiled, celebrity kid style, SP and JJ got Ed Hardy style tricked out trucks for their birthdays. A source told People that the trucks came complete with personalized license plates and Ed Hardy by Christian Audiger decals and air freshners.  Britney and family spent the day watching the boys and their little guests drive around the property of Brit pal, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif’s Beverly Park mansion. I didn’t get my first car until I was 18, and I still haven’t gotten a personalized license plate. I do have the Ed Hardy air freshener, though, so I’m not bitter.

The boys’ dad, Kevin Federline, threw them a pool party last weekend while their mother unceremoniously opened the MTV Video Music Awards, and surprisingly won three of them.

Britney Spears sons Sean Preston and Jayden James – who turn 3 and 2 this coming weekend – finally got to meet their new cousin Maddie. Jamie Lynn Spears flew from Louisiana to Los Angeles yesterday along with her two-month-old daughter and her mom Lynne. She then went straight to Britney’s house where the group hung out with K-Fed. Always a guaranteed way to class up an event.

Jamie Lynn Spears brought two-month-old daughter Maddie to Los Angeles Wednesday for the baby’s first ever play date with Britney’s two sons.

The 17-year-old flew from Louisiana – along with her baby and her mother Lynne (whose memoir comes out next week). The whole family then headed to Britney’s Studio City house, where the singer was enjoying a regular visitation day with her two boys, Preston, who turns 3 on Sunday, and Jayden, who turns 2 on Friday.

Britney’s ex, Kevin Federline, came to pick up his sons himself, and stayed for about an hour to take part in the reunion.

X17 pointed out how much time Britney’s been spending with K-Fed lately, and wondered if there was any chance of a reconciliation. Normally I’d blow that off – and I don’t think the two being around each other with their kids means a thing other than they’re trying to be good parents – but supposedly Britney’s dad Jamie is somewhat into the idea. And Jamie has helped her out quite a bit so far, so somehow I give the idea (in theory, not as a result of them spending time together yesterday) a little more plausibility in the long run.

It must be awkward as hell to be around Britney and Lynne right now though. Lynne’s “memoir” (tell all) comes out next week, and according to several sources Britney is not happy about it. Not that she can be blamed – a lot of what Lynne supposedly writes about are personal family things that you’d hope stay between mother and daughter. But considering her grandsons are having a big birthday party this weekend, they’ll probably have to get used to the awkwardness, as they’ll be spending some time together.

Jamie Lynn Spears, 17, is said to be fuming at reports that came out in the National Enquirer last week that Casey was cheating on her with multiple other women even after their daughter little Maddie was born in June. After hearing the allegations of his affairs, Jamie Lynn told Casey to get all this crap out of the house they’ve been sharing in Liberty, Mississippi and has called off their planned wedding:

Just a week after The Enquirer’s blockbuster interview with one of her fiance’s lovers, teen mom Jamie Lynn Spears has kicked Casey Aldridge to the curb for good!

“Jamie Lynn told Casey to ‘Get out!’ and remove all his belonging from their house,” revealed a source.

The young couple had been living in a three-bedroom home on five acres that Jamie Lynn bought in Liberty, Miss., where she and Casey planned to raise their new baby daughter, Maddie Briann.

“But there’ll be no happily ever after for Jamie Lynn and Casey,” continued the source. “Their planned marriage is now out of the question. Jamie Lynn is determined to raise Maddie Briann by herself.”

That’s pretty much what people expected after hearing that story from the second woman to speak to the tabloids about an affair with Jamie Lynn’s fiance. Casey Aldridge is 18 years old and is obviously not ready to settle down. The first woman who spoke out about an affair may have been doing it for the money or fleeting glimpse at fame, but the second kind of makes it seem like he has a pattern of hound-dogging.

To add an interesting twist to this story is the fact that Casey Aldridge is said to be calling up Kevin Federline and asking for advice. It’s not for a father-to-father chat, though, he wants custody of Maddie and needs to figure out how K-Fed did it with his two kids with Britney, Jamie Lynn’s older sister:

“Casey has been talking with Kevin Federline, seeking his advice and strategy on how he fought and won custody of his two kids with Britney,” said the source.

“Kevin tells Casey to be strong and not let the Spears family cut him off from his child. Unless Jamie Lynn and Casey reconcile at some later time, it is easy to see how this is going to play out – in a huge fight over joint custody.”

Jamie Lynn and Britney’s situations are entirely different and if she does permanently split with Casey he’s not likely to get more than visitation rights with his daughter. Jamie Lynn is now said to be ignoring Casey’s attempts to contact her. The insider is quoted as saying “She’s finally done with him and isn’t taking his calls. She only text messages him if there’s something to tell him about the baby.” That seems like the best course of action in this case, and Jamie Lynn probably would have made a huge mistake if she ended up marrying the guy.

Those blabbermouths at Petit Tresor are getting press again by revealing maybe-fake celebrity purchases at their overpriced baby boutique. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes sent the LA store a cease and desist in May for telling Life & Style that they’d blown over $350k on baby goods for Suri. The Holmes-Cruise’s lawyers said it just wasn’t true and that it violated their confidentiality to even reveal they’d shopped there. The letter read in part “We also understand that you have informed other tabloids that our clients have purchased various items at your stores that they have not in fact purchased, and that they have shopped there at times that they have not.”

So take this latest news as either true and questionable on Jamie Lynn’s part or rather desperate on Petit Tresor’s part. Supposedly Jamie Lynn Spears, herself a famous young mother at 17, sent her latest teen pregnant tabloid replacement, Bristol Palin, also 17, pink burp cloths from the boutique. Does Jamie Lynn know that Bristol is having a girl? It seems more prudent to send blue stuff if the baby’s sex is unknown since Bristol has a little five month-old brother. Bristol is five months pregnant and due in December, so she could know the sex of the baby already. If this story is true, and that’s a giant IF in bright yellow sans serif, then maybe Jamie Lynn knows something the rest of the world doesn’t:

Britney Spears’ little sis is reaching out to Bristol Palin, the 17-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin, John McCain’s vice presidential pick.

A source close to the Beverly Hills baby store Petit Tresor tells CelebTV.com exclusively that a gift from Plain Mary was sent to Bristol Palin on behalf of Jamie Lynn Spears.

An insider says it was actually Lynne Spears, Jamie Lynn’s mom, who called about the gift, and requested the gift come from her daughter.

“It was ordered by phone, and they asked what could be done for under $100. They spent $60 on pink burpcloths,” said the source.

Burpcloths should not cost $60. I was kind of flabbergasted at that price, but then I looked up burpcloths on Target.com and see that even at Target a nice set can run up to 1/2 that cost, which sounds about right if you’re looking at the cost of regular vs. designer goods.

How would Jamie Lynn Spears know Bristol Palin anyway? Could she maybe feel sorry for her because she knows what it’s like to be in the spotlight as a pregnant teen? Surely some pink burpcloths aren’t the way to express that kind of remote solidarity. She might not even be able to use them for all we know.

Update: According to Jamie Lynn’s rep, this story is not true at all. That was lame, Petit Tresor, although you did get a lot of press out of it.

A couple of weeks ago a story came out in In Touch from a 28 year-old woman who claimed to have had an affair with Casey Aldridge, Jamie Lynn Spears’ 19 year-old fiance and the father of her baby. The woman said that Casey was booty calling her when Jamie Lynn was six months pregnant. TMZ disputed that story, saying they had a source that insisted the woman was lying in order to get publicity and some cash. Spears and Aldridge live in a very small community in Mississippi and if he was having an affair the news would have been out sooner, they claimed.

The National Enquirer has a big story in their latest issue with yet another woman who says that Casey was cheating on Jamie Lynn with her – and she claims it happened a week after his baby Maddie was born. She also says he was sleeping with up to four other women, and that the one woman who spoke to In Touch, a friend of hers named Kelli Dawson, was even pregnant with his baby. I believe this because the Enquirer has a solid record of finding exclusives and it’s not the first time I’ve heard it – there was a rumor I read online that InTouch left out that part of their interview with Kelli. The woman interviewed in the Enquirer claims that Casey is only with Jamie Lynn for her money and that Jamie Lynn has purchased two fully equipped trucks for him:

In an exclusive Enquirer interview, 20-year-old Andrea Revels – a former high school classmate of Casey’s – reveals that she and Casey Aldridge had sex in his pickup truck just days after little Maddie Briann’s June 19 birth.

Andrea also says she had a sexual relationship with Casey that went on for years – right under Jamie Lynn’s nose.

And she wasn’t the only woman Casey, 19, was cheating with, Andrea says. She reveals that Casey had sex with four other women while she was dating Jamie Lynn – and got one pregnant!

What’s worse, Andrea says Casey has admitted that he’s with Jamie Lynn only for her money…

“During our romance, Casey was sleeping with as many as four other girls besides Jamie Lynn,” she says.

One of those girls, 28 year-old Kelli Dawson, recently admitted in a published interview that she has been having sex with Casey since 2006. The Enquirer has learned that Kelli became pregnant with Casey’s baby in Spring 2007 – just months before Jamie Lynn got pregnant…

Kelli told friends she miscarried a few months later…

“Casey always acted like he didn’t like Kelli or Jamie Lynn. He would tell me that he broke up with Jamie Lynn, and was fighting with Kelli…” says Andrea…

In 2006, Jamie Lynn gave Casey a black Ford F-150 pickup truck, complete with televisions, custom rims and an expensive sound system. When Casey later wrecked the truck, Jamie Lynn went out and bought him an even more expensive black Ford F-250 that had $100,000 worth of upgrades, says Andrea

This guy is such a dog. There are more details in the Enquirer and pictures of Andrea with Casey. I remember seeing a bunch of photos online of Casey kissing another woman and with her at various times, and if my memory is correct she looked like this woman Andrea. The photos were on ONTD and I didn’t run them as it was impossible to date them and it was just speculation that he was cheating on Jamie Lynn with her. I completely believe this story and think Jamie Lynn should avoid marrying Casey and just let him have visitation with his daughter.

In Touch is claiming that Jamie Lynn Spears has walked out on Casey Aldridge and is living with her mom. In Touch originally ran the story of Casey cheating on Jamie Lynn while she was pregnant, but TMZ has it on relatively good authority that they bribed the woman he supposedly cheated with, Kelli Dawson, just did it for some cash and notoriety. So you’ve got to take everything In Touch says about this relationship with about a hundred grains of salt. Or one really big chunk of sea salt. Whichever is less believable.

According to In Touch, Jamie Lynn is absolutely miserable, and is living with her mom Lynn right now.

A hurt Jamie Lynn, 17, sought solace by leaving the home she shares with Casey in his hometown of Liberty, Miss. – and staying at her mom’s estate, Serentiy, 30 minutes away in Kentwood. “She is spending time with her mom because she needs her right now,” says a friend.

Jamie Lynn is turning to her parents for support,” the al adds. She is devastated.”

But as shocked as Jamie Lynn is, friends of Casey’s aren’t as surprised by Kelli’s claims. “Rumors have long been circulating that he has a wandering eye – especially when Jamie Lynn is out of town,” confirms a pal of Casey and Kelli’s.

The magazine goes on to give these very vague quotes from “local friends” of Jamie Lynn and Casey. It’s all so vague that it would be pretty easy for anyone to surmise that kind of trouble about a young couple with a new baby. It certainly doesn’t take “insiders” to figure out that there’s probably a lot of stress and tension and that teenagers aren’t really sure if they’re ready to walk down the aisle.

In Touch doesn’t say that the wedding is actually postponed, just that it’s the last thing on Jamie Lynn’s mind. Hopefully she won’t actually marry Casey, whether or not he’s been cheating. They’re both way too young. For now they should focus on raising their daughter and reducing the drama in their lives.

TMZ says that they have a source that says that 19 year-old Casey Aldridge didn’t cheat on his fiance Jamie Lynn Spears with that 28 year-old woman who is featured tongue kissing him on the cover of the latest In Touch. The photo was supposedly taken before he was with Jamie Lynn. The woman’s claim that she was with Casey as recently as March when Jamie Lynn was six months pregnant is also said to be false. Casey’s accuser is supposedly doing it for the money and infamy that come along with the tabloid coverage:

Casey Aldridge is hotter than fish grease.

Our sources connected with Casey and Co. say he’s ballistic at reports that he had an affair while Jamie Lynn was six months pregnant.

As for the picture of Casey with Kelli Dawson (the Sienna Miller of the South), he claims it was taken before he even hooked up with J.L.

Casey has called the Spears clan to vent and they believe his story.

And Casey has a point … where he lives, there are just a bunch of one horse towns, so everybody knows everyone else’s business.

Casey says it’s all about Southern Sienna trying to make a buck.

You can see this random older chick claiming to have a thing with Casey just to get some notoriety and cash from a tabloid. On the other hand, people are willing to believe Casey was cheating on Jamie Lynn because he’s just 19 years old and no one expects him to settle down at this age. There have been rumors that he’s been fooling around on her for some time. Whether they’re true or not we may never know, but when this woman came out of the woodwork everyone believed the worst. The story was “confirmed” by Britney’s first 55 hour husband, Jason Alexander, who also needs some cash and whatever publicity he can still squeeze out of his brush with Britney.

OK! reports that Jamie Lynn and Casey are planning a fall wedding to take place in the backyard of their new home in Liberty, Mississippi. OK! said the same thing about a fall backyard wedding for Jennifer Aniston, so it’s possible that story is false. Jamie Lynn seems to have be taking her role as a new mom seriously. She’ll be responsible for that little girl for quite a while, she doesn’t need to get tied down into a marriage at the age of 17. Many people think that Casey, 19, and Jamie Lynn, 17, shouldn’t get married at their age even though they have a two month-old baby. They’re not though to be mature enough and they haven’t had enough life experiences. Other young couples have made it work though and stuck together through the hard times.

If this “Casey cheating” story is fake, hopefully that older woman trying to get some mileage out of her past relationship with Casey will be exposed as a fake. Unfortunately once these stories are out the accused gets branded a cheater and has to live with the rumors, which get much more coverage and attention than the corrections to the story.

The rumors surrounding teen mom Jamie Lynn Spears’ 19-year-old fiance and baby daddy, Casey Aldridge, are getting louder than ever. In Touch is reporting that Casey not only is having second thoughts about marrying Jamie Lynn because he feels “trapped,” but he’s also been fooling around with another woman for months.

But insiders say the teen parents of baby Maddie are having serious relationship trouble- and now Casey is anxious about the nuptials, which are scheduled for the end of the year. “Casey is not happy right now,” reveals a pal. “He feels trapped. He’s just miserable.”

The pal says that Casey, 19, feels like he’s being forced to marry Jamie Lynn, 17, because they have a child together.

“He was told it’s the right thing to do,” the pal explained. “But it’s not the life he pictured for himself.”

Oh, boo hoo. I’m sure this isn’t the life that Jamie Lynn, who was 16 at the time she got pregnant and enjoying a successful acting career, pictured for herself either. But she’s sucking it up and trying to make the best of it, unlike the panty waste who impregnated her. In Touch also has an exclusive interview with Kelli Dawson, Casey’s former girlfriend who claims that she was “hooking up” with Aldridge throughout Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy, until a few months before she delivered Maddie. Dawson claims that Jamie Lynn knew about the affair and was furious.

In an exclusive interview with In Touch, 28-year-old Kelli Dawson reveals that she and Casey, 19, were romantically involved — and were still sleeping together when Jamie Lynn, now 17, was six months pregnant with his child. No fleeting hookup, Casey and Kelli’s relationship was both real and lasting — and it grew in intensity, even as Jamie Lynn announced she was pregnant. And, Kelli says, they still meet up on a regular basis. “I see him all the time, at least once a week,” she shares.

The pair first met in November 2006, at the home of her sister, Kim Toller. At the time, Casey was already dating Jamie Lynn, but the sexual chemistry between Casey and Kelli was instant. “We were both really attracted to each other,” Kelli reveals. “He totally instigated it and pursued me. His friends would tell me that he liked me, that he thought I was pretty.” The couple saw each other a few times and “kissed randomly,” but it wasn’t really “hot and heavy,” Kelli admits, until the spring of 2007. Though Casey and Jamie Lynn were still involved, Kelli insists, “You never knew if they were broken up or not, because it changed from day to day!”

The pair didn’t bother to hide their relationship. “Kelli and Casey have been a couple on and off for a few years,” confirms Jason Alexander, Britney Spears’ first husband and a native of nearby Kentwood, La. “They were a really tight couple, but I think it was hard for Kelli, having Jamie Lynn in the picture.”

Kelli says she and Casey stopped sleeping together a few months before Jamie Lynn gave birth to their daughter, Maddie. “It just didn’t feel right,” she explains. “He had to deal with the baby coming, and it had to stop.” She says the last time the couple had sex together was in March but “even after we stopped having sex, we would still kiss occasionally.”

If this story is true, it’s a far cry from the “perfect” life Jamie Lynn blathered on about in her interview with OK! Magazine in July. I knew that was a big fake just by how awkward Casey looked in those photos. However, this is “In Touch” we’re talking about here- they rarely get anything right. The cover of that issue features a photo of Casey tongue kissing some skanky-looking ho, but it’s impossible to know when that photo was taken- just like it’s very difficult to know if this girl is telling the truth.
