Czech model Petra Nemcova, 29, dyed her hair brown and was seen with one of those round bang hairstyles that are popular with the rockabilly set. A woman in a flirty cherry dress and bright red lipstick can pull off this hairstyle. It just seems out of place on Nemcova’s head and not her style, though. Maybe she’ll soften it by letting it grow out and not styling her bangs so severely next time.

Nemcova looks kind of doofy standing next to 54 year-old recently divorced supermodel Christie Brinkley. A good ‘do can make all the difference.

Nemcova was photographed on June 30th with flowing blonde hair and no bangs and the pictures are below for comparison. She was seen with the questionable hair style at the “19th Annual Family Day Wild Wild West Carnival at Diamond Ranch,” on Sunday, which was hosted by Brinkley. The new hair color and severe bangs change her look entirely. Maybe she wanted some attention, and this is a much better way to get coverage than to act naughty or date another douche like James Blunt.

Let’s be honest: the best part of awards shows are all the little bits of gossip you hear afterwards. Like Jon Stewart was actually drunk as a skunk during the whole ceremony last night. Or Jack Nicholson and Javier Bardem got in a fistfight, and Javier sat on Jack’s head. Okay none of those things actually happened, but how much would it rock if they did? Well a little bit of juicy gossip that does appear to be true: it seems Sean Penn and Petra Nemcova are hooking up.

Newly single Sean Penn and supermodel Petra Nemcova slipped out of LA’s Villa nightclub at 3:10 a.m. this morning–clearly Hollywood’s hottest new item.

The pair followed up an appearance at a CAA event two days ago with a full-on assault of coupledom tonight at Elton John’s Oscar Party (above). Sean, 47, and Petra, 28, posed on the red carpet at the singer’s AIDS Foundation fete and danced to his many hits before heading to Villa.

Further confirmation comes from People. While they say there was no “clear cut PDA” when Petra was asked about Penn, she noted, “Yes, we are friends. He is on the advisory board of my charity.”

I can’t really explain why, but somehow this pairing strikes me as odd. Penn is nineteen years old than Nemcova, but I don’t think that’s what really seems odd. He just looks like he should be out living in a tree somewhere, while she looks like her image should be chiseled in marble or something. He’s very rustic and asymmetrical. And she is highly symmetrical. And since I can’t think of any other way to explain why I don’t think these two go together, I’m going to rely on symmetry (and a lack thereof) to be my main argument.

Sean Penn split from wife Robin Wright Penn right after Christmas; with both parties citing the traditional “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce. The San Francisco Gate reports that Robin is now dating her ex-boyfriend from the 90s, Jason Patric. It seems fast, but they’re both moving on with their lives and that’s probably for the best. And Jason Patric is much more symmetrical than Sean Penn.

I hyped that title because there’s no real evidence that British billionaire cad Nat Rothschild actually dated Petra Nemcova other than the fact that he showed up on her arm to the NY premiere of “Black Dahlia” in mid September, signalling the quiet end of her relationship with annoying singer James Blunt.

Now Natalie Portman is said to be dating him because they went out to dinner together.

There probably won’t be much more to this story, considering that billionaire Nat Rothschild is a notorious ladies man and is likely to be out with a different model or starlet next week.

When I first saw these pictures of Petra Nemcova at the VMAs I thought, “Wow, is she on Prednisone?” Her cheeks are huge and her face looks all swollen, so I assumed she might be on some kind of harsh steroid for a medical condition. I consulted the Wiki (phrase stollen from Bastardly) and did a half-assed Google search, and there’s no mention of any medical condition associated with Nemcova.

Steroids are usually taken for autoimmune conditions, inflammatory diseases, and kidney problems. It’s possible that Nemcova has something like Chron’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis or even asthma, is taking steroids for it and has not publically acknowledged her condition. It’s possible that her face is naturally huge like this or that she’s gained a little weight and it went straight to her face. I’ve included an older candid of Nemcova from about eight weeks ago, and her face was puffy then but not as bad. (It’s hard to tell from that angle, but she looks a bit better there.)

When a thin woman, especially a model, has a puffy face it’s suggestive of bulimia:

Now, when you can diet and exercise to get the same effect, is all that trouble really worth it? Bulimia is a psychological condition, though, and reasoning with someone is not going to get them to stop.

I’m sorry for speculating about Nemcova, she seems like a lovely person, (albeit totally delusional if she’s dating Blunt, which would also explain the bulimia) and it’s not fair to label her with an eating disorder just because her face is all puffed up. It’s pretty suspicious, though, and she’s looking really worn down. Somethings wrong with Nemcova, and if it’s bulimia she needs to get treatment for it.

The implant in Pete Doherty’s stomach and the love of a skinny stupid supermodel couldn’t reform him no matter how much the world was rooting for his sobreity. He’s been arrested for drug posession more times than I can count:

Oh that explains it! He was stopped last week and found with drugs. Now that he’s back with Kate and has that drug impant we don’t have to worry about him any more. Now if only he can clean up up that silly legal mess he can clear the way for their secret wedding in Ibiza this weekend.
