Details of Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen’s prenup

Charlie Sheen Released from Jail
Gawker has all the nitty gritty details in Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen’s prenuptial agreement, and considering that Brooke put up with death threats, a knife to her throat and serial cheating with hookers, she’s not getting compensated accordingly (when you consider her husband’s income). It’s not a bad settlement, though, and when considered along with what she was making before and how she stands to get a whopping $100,000 plus in child support, she’s going to do fine. Now that I think of it, I don’t really care for either party and couldn’t give a crap if Mueller gets more than six figures. She should have known what she was getting into. Gawker details how Sheen doesn’t have a lot in liquid assets when you account for his income, but he does have a lot tied up in his home and in a production company. Here are the highlights from TMZ, with a more detailed breakdown available on Gawker. Most of Mueller’s payout would come from the sale of their home:

The 60-page document, obtained by Gawker.com, outlines Brooke’s take if the marriage ends. Among the payouts … there’s a marriage signing bonus of $500,000. For the first 10 years, Brooke gets $300,000 for every year she’s married. The couple was married May 30, 2008.

Brooke would get around $2.35 million for her share in the couple’s Bev Hills home if they divorce now. And she’d get $100,000 to cover moving expenses.

In all, according to Gawker, Brooke’s take would be $3,566,000.

But TMZ has learned there is more for Brooke. Sources familiar with the prenup tell us she also would get $55,000 a month in child support, plus a number of add-ons — like medical expenses and schooling — which could take monthly support north of $125,000.

Fun fact — Charlie’s net assets are $16 million, which includes a $5.6 million watch collection.

As for why Brooke hasn’t filed for divorce yet, Gawker notes that the longer she stays under the terms of the prenup the longer she gets paid. It’s been reported that Charlie and Brooke have already reached a behind-doors settlement, something that both of their reps deny. I guess you have to give Charlie credit for realizing that this third marriage wasn’t going to last, either.

While all this was going on, Charlie’s ex Denise Richards filed for sole legal custody of their two daughters, Sam, 6, and Lola, 4. She was successful and can now “make medical, schooling and other important decisions without getting Charlie’s sign-off.” I guess that means that Charlie won’t be harassing the family pediatrician when Denise takes the girls to get their shots. You pick your battles and he has a whole ‘nother one to fight now.

I think the custody thing with Denise is more about visitation. What mom wants to leave her children with a couple of volatile druggies for the weekend?

  2. Just a Poster says:

And on e!online Ted has a ‘bonus blind’ and the popular guess is Charlie.

couldn’t have happened to two nicer people.

I hate divorce because Holy Bible abhors it but somehow, i was thankful that Denise Richards left this imp of a man.

  6. lucy2 says:

He’s been the highest paid actor on TV for several years now and somehow had a long movie career, and his net assets are 16 mil? Oh right, hookers and blow cost a lot.
These two are both gross. I feel sorry for their kids.

  7. gen says:

    They are both scum

The money is the ONLY reason any one would marry Charlie Sheen and/or have kids with him. He has proven time and time again that he is lowlife scumbag, yet he still finds women who will be with him. I don’t feel sorry for Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards because they should have known better – I think they give women a bad name.

  9. lin234 says:

“Each year Brooke receives an “anniversary payment” of $300,000, “payable within 30 days of the anniversary of the marriage” for the first 10 years of their marriage. If Charlie defaults on a payment, Brooke must send him “a written notice of default;” if he fails to pay ten days after that, the anniversary payment will accrue interest at “an annual rate of prime plus two percent.”

The way that prenup is constructed, it makes it sounds like she’s just a really really expensive hooker that he’s hiring until she can’t stand him.

I’ve never heard of having a spouse transfer money upon marriage or every year. It’s more of business contract than a marriage. No wonder she popped at two kids at once. I wonder if she did it naturally or in a lab to guarantee the sex and number of kids.

    Why did he even bother?

They did use help to have twin boys-sheen has flat out said that. he wanted boys. i think it was in vitro,if i recall correctly.

also,FYI,all marriages are contracts. That’s what legally binds you. Or religiously,or both,in most cases-as people do the legal and church or temple ceremonies simultaneously. That is why you get a ‘license’. It’s a legal document.

Has noone really thought of this?
Naw,people would rather think it’s about love, and ‘making our love official’.
Official? That word alone should tell you something. Official to whom? or what?
    It’s a contract,and a business-hence you get a bigger tax refund.

I’m married, happily,so I am just saying it for the record. Know what you signed ,and why.

This is why I don’t have a problem when people say that the piece of paper is not the proof. They are certainly right on technicality, but most times they are emotionallly chicken sh*t and are using the legal bond thing as an excuse to not committ.

Anywayyyyyyyyyyyy, just to be honest about what we are all doing in society….marriage has always been an economic contract first;modern romantic love came second.

Oh,I am sure we will get the god and bible comments now. wheeeeeeeeeeee.
Why does the church need to be your go between, for your marriage and ‘god’?
