My GOD. Rachel Weisz married her jumpoff! And what a lovely jumpoff he is. According to Rachel’s rep, Rachel and Daniel Craig GOT MARRIED on Friday in upstate New York. Um… they’re both British? Why not get married in England? Maybe they were celebrating New York state’s gay marriage vote, especially considering Daniel Craig likes to roughly French kiss dudes outside of gay bars?!? This makes no sense, on any level other than: HOT. Rachel and Daniel are in a mutual dong-and-biscuit-lust/haze. They split from their partners last year – for Daniel, he split with long-term girlfriend Satsuki, for Rachel, she split from her baby-daddy Darren Aronofsky – so maybe they just had a “BAM!” moment of “This is right, we must do this, and it must be hot.” Or, you know, Rachel could be knocked up.
Release the doves! Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig got married Friday in upstate New York, Weisz’s rep confirms to Us Weekly.. Craig, 43, and Weisz, 41, costar in the upcoming horror film Dream House, which will hit theaters in September 2011.
Weisz split with beau Darren Aronofsky, a producer, in November 2010. The two have a son together, Henry Chance (5). In December 2010, only a month after ending her nine-year relationship with Aronofsky, Weisz and Craig were spotted packing on the PDA in the Englsh countryside town of Somerset.
The James Bond actor was married to actress Fiona Loudon from 1992 to 1994. The two have one daughter together, Ella (19).
After only a few months of dating, the sexy British couple was spotted “making out” at an anniversary party for NYC club, The Box, in February. “They were adorable,” an observer told Us, adding that the lovers left their table and “started dancing… and they were kissing!”

So… Rachel could never be bothered to marry Darren, Daniel could never be bothered to marry Satsuki, and now suddenly they’re both “Let’s Get Married!” people? I’m not a marriage person either, but I am a person who appreciates consistency. Still, I’m not going to yell about it. Mostly because I’m really turned on at the thought of Daniel and Rachel consummating their marital love. As far as joint hotness goes, in my mind, they’re right up there with Brangelina and Paul Bettany/Jennifer Connelly.

i know this sounds horribly cheesy and corny but my parents started dating and after just 6 months were married, a few months later got preggers with me and now 31 years later they STILL act like kids on their honeymoon… so as cynical as i am personally, i do have to acknowledge that this kind of whirlwind romance CAN exist… its rare but i grew up in it! haha… anyway, i agree that the thought of them is HOT… 🙂

I don’t think she ever married Darren because she was still pissed that she could not return to The Mummy franchise. That was biggg money. But that last photo up there with him in all denim has sort of ruined my lustful thoughts. Hideous. And I have never liked Rachel because of her characters in film and even though she might be right about many Americans it is disrespectful to speak that way so I guess unlike many Europeans we know she doesn’t have good breeding.

I don’t know much about them and I haven’t followed them. But about the overlapping relationship rumors–just wanted to add–the other rumor is that Arronofsky cheated on her, and then, Daniel Craig became her rebound. Since all parties involved are very private, it’s just a rumor. In other words, we’ll probably never know.

And about “double standards”: people here don’t call them ‘cheaters’ because they handled their breakup in a classy way. Many people who got there are barely out of high school, not exactly (apparently) smart or open minded. Weisz is a woman who studied her craft at Cambridge, started in theatre and had show intelligence and sensibility, she probably was sick of bimbos only interested in money; hell, she had a decade-long relationship with one of the most important directors famous for his visionarity (maybe a jerk, but we don’t know for sure)! That’s saying a lot.

Just celebrated our 20th anniversary…sometimes you think its love and then finally meet “the one” and it all pales in comparison. I do feel really really bad for Craig’s ex-girlfriend…I don’t know why…that just seems really sad to me.

Well if you have….then you should that Summer (the kind of girl who was never into marriage, didn’t believe true love existed)gets married to somebody who isn’t Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Hey I like Darren Aronofsky…he’s a pretty cool guy…I’ve met him a couple of times so bare with my defending him. He’s a really great chap. And isn’t the kind of guy, at least from my perspective that would cheat. He seemed rather loyal to Rachel, especially the last time I saw him before their break-up. And from the way she talked about him…she really was very in love with him. You should have seen them at the Black swan preview party. They were really worked together and cuddling at some point I noticed, which is why I’m so surprised that Rachel Dumped him on the spot to be with Daniel. Oh I’m sorry marry Daniel. I liked her and now I think she’s just a wishy washy person, never really knowing what she wants. As for Daniel he’s such a jerk anyway for what he did to Satsuki…and out of anyone I really feel for her, you all know how us women are when we give ourselves/hearts to a man and he not only kicks us to the curb, but marrys the woman he did it for, we feel as if we are nothing, we don’t exist, we are numb and hurt, it’s an awful feeling and I definitely know how that feels. It happens all time with relationships – a couple are together for years and years, never marry, have kids etc – only for it to break up and one or both of the people involved hook up with someone else and suddenly theres marriage and kids within 5 seconds. I think some people geniunely love each other but don’t have the spark that they suddenly find with someone else and it all clicks into place. Like both of these people and I think for them to marry it must be pretty special for both of them
Ugh, I don’t see the fascination with Daniel Craig, I just don’t. I don’t know the intricacies of Weiss’ relationship with Darren Aronofsky, I just know that he makes brilliant (if sometimes flawed) pictures and that he must be quite a visionary with a mighty intellect. It seems to me that life with him would never be boring. The idea of them together just made sense to me, as Weiss seems attracted to roles with strong, intelligent women; I assume that the roles she chose were expressions of her personality and intellect.

You know if it is the right partner or not. My husband and I dated 2 months and were living together. Married now for 19 years together 21 total. Whoever said it is true — everything else pales by comparison! Hope they enjoy and long and loving relationship!

I stopped reading your post when you statet you have seen Darren and Rachel at a pre screening and they were so very close. You should have noticed by now that they have already been apart back then. They announced their split in November 2010, but have been seperated FOR month before that (their reps have confirmed that) so…I think you never met them anyway.A liar is not believed even when he speaks the truth.
It is WAY too soon to get married. At 6 months, you still really don’t know the other person.
At the same time, both just got out of relationships and both are in their early 40s so they probably thought “damn! I’m going to end up alone for the rest on my life!” Thus, the reactionary quick marriage.
