Emily Ratajkowski got herself a feature in the November issue of GQ and for good reason. She was the “it” girl of the summer for her rack-shaking moves in Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” video. She also scored a pretty plum movie role as Ben Affleck’s mistress in Gone Girl. Basically, this is her time.
Unfortunately, GQ had to go and hire Terry Richardson for this photoshoot. It’s Uncle Terry’s world, people. We need to do something to fix that. Of course Terry had Emily pose with all manner of phallic-looking foodstuffs. The highlight is her O face while hugging a big plastic piece of pizza.
Emily did a little interview too. Here’s some highlights:
: “When I first saw the video, I was like, Oh, Jesus Christ, I’m so naked. Not just naked, but so revealed.” She leans forward–she’s the daughter of a professor, and she knows a teaching moment when she sees one: “It was my personality. There was no glamour involved. I was just silly and playful and kind of ridiculous–a big dork. And I only let my best friends see that. Or if I’ve had a couple of cocktails.”
Don’t call her Emily Rajajajaja: “I get it. It’s eleven letters; it’s scary.”

The J is silent. Emily Ratajkowski is like Django with an excellent rack. She’s with Ford Models — their website says she’s a 34-C up top. That’s all? They look a lot bigger than that. I can’t believe I’m wasting actual thought on this topic. She’s so damn gorgeous. It’s too bad she had to pose for Uncle Terry.
All compliments aside, was she really shocked to see herself so naked in the final video edit? It’s not like they Photoshopped the clothing off her.

She seems to have to kind of beauty that grows on me. Have you ever seen someone and thought they weren’t that pretty/attractive but the more you look at them, the more you notice how beautiful they are?
That happens to me quite a lot. Mostly with men. Pretty much all the guys I had serious crushes on weren’t attractive when I first met them. But if their personality was great, they became so attractive.
That isn’t the case with her, because I find her annoying.
Yeah but what I’m talking about is still superficial. My change in opinion has nothing to do with inner beauty. Their out beauty just grows on me. There are people that I find more beautiful when I get to know them better. There are people that it took me years to notice that they aren’t classically beautiful because they are so wonderful to know. This superficial thing is totally different. Also, I don’t know much about her to find her annoying. I’m not going to hate her just because she was nude in someone’s video…which is pretty much my extent of knowledge about her.
She’s prettier in motion than in still photos, IMO.

See, she wasn’t forced to take her clothes off in Thicke’s video. She appears to be very comfortable with little or nothing on. She also accomplished what she wanted, to be notice. Now her career is taking off.

I’m in the minority here, but she isn’t very pretty to me. She is obviously better looking than me, as I am not a Ford model, but she isn’t gorgeous. Pretty, sure. Special? Meh.
I just came here to say almost exactly the same thing. Her body is incredible, yes, but her face is just kind of…nothing special to me? *shrug*
As you said, I am also not a model so before says “oh gee, what do you look like?” she’s obviously much more attractive than me…I guess what I mean is that specifically for a model, I don’t really think her face is anything special.

34C is the equivalent of a 32D or a 30DD. That’s not small at all. I’m a 30DD myself and look roughly that big.
Id say a 28G which sounds massive when its really not that big its about a correct fitting 34D/DD.
@Jay – I don’t quite understand this comment, I’m a 34C (US Size), & nowhere near *that* big. I have a rack, yes, but not one that looks like hers. My mother was naturally a DD. (perhaps even a bit bigger) before she had a reduction, so I know I’m nowhere near that size.
I don’t see “gorgeous”. Where’s that “gorgeous”? All of the summer I’ve been told this chick is unbelievably gorgeous and all I see is a pretty girl with freaky lips.
I think she meant more “exposed” than naked. Yes, she was naked and prancing around, I think she realized that, but the nakedness of seeing her actually personality, the part she only lets her close friends see, I think that really surprised her that it came out.

@Bijlee – I’m feeling the same way about this shoot/article, for some reason. I think we must both be in ‘a mood’. I don’t think she came across well to me either. I admit she was the most charming of the girls in the video (which I only tolerated watching twice, asI can’t STAND Robin Thicke, he gives me the creeps, once out of curiosity since everyone was talking about the ‘unrated’ version, & then bc my mom was curious. He gives HER the creeps too).
She had charisma in the video, I just couldn’t help but wonder if she screwed around w/Creepo too, since he has that ‘arrangement’ w/his wife & all…& she reminded me of Miranda Kerr too!

These pictures are skeevy–this is some crap that I expect in Playboy, but apparently Playboy is slightly classier than Terry Richardson–who’d a thought it?
And maybe it’s just me, but despite the half naked models, I didn’t find the video at all sexy. I thought it was very sort of goofy, silly, and kind of funny. Sexy was not in any of my thoughts–despite Emily’s rack. But I hope girlfriend can act.
@Virgilia Coriolanus – I think that was what they were going for, actually, if my memory serves. I think he said that in an interview, that the point was more to be silly/goofy, than actually sexy. (Thus all the random objects & balloons)…

It’s always the same speech, like “Oh, I’m not being sexual, I’m just having fun and being myself”. Admit for once that sex sells and you’re on it.
I looked this girl up on fashion model directory – she’s with ford of Ny, Miami, just two covers (not major mags) in two years, no runway shows (she’s listed at 5’7″ so unless she’s the next kate moss or leatitia casta runway is out), and no major campaigns or ads of any sort – she’s more of a model-wannabee just on Ford’s boards, nothing more – video girls are not actual models. She should just enjoy her 15 minutes.

I’m no prude but I watched the video for like a minute and then turned it off. The girls are gorgeous sure but I thought it was boring and predictable. AND Uncle Terry’s pictorial is just more of the same. And her boobs seem bigger because the rest of her is so small. I pictured a different looking girl when I read Gone Girl but the book never translates the same to the screen.
