Donald Trump believes Kim Kardashian & Kanye are helping him with black voters

trump2

Last week, I went back and forth about Kim Kardashian’s visit to the Oval Office. Kim went to personally meet with Donald Trump to ask him to consider pardoning or commuting the sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, a first-time drug offender currently serving a ridiculously long sentence. I never believed that Kim’s personal appeal would make much of a difference, but I thought the coverage of her visit was largely sexist and misogynistic. But I kept coming back to this too: the photo of Kim and Bigly was what HE wanted. He’s so desperate to be cool or relevant, and he’s desperate to hang out with celebrities. All he wanted was the photo. All he wanted was Kim and Kanye’s seal of approval. So, yeah: she should have known better. He still hasn’t pardoned Alice Marie Johnson. But he has bragged a lot about how Kim and Kanye have boosted his poll numbers in the black community.

President Donald Trump welcomed Kim Kardashian to the White House last week to discuss prison reform. But there was something else on his mind. Trump told the reality TV star and wife of hip-hop mogul Kanye West in the Oval Office that the couple was boosting his popularity with African-Americans, according to two people familiar with the matter.

About a month before the meeting West praised Trump in a tweet, claiming that he and the president “are both dragon energy.” Trump later credited the April 25 West tweet with raising his approval rating among African Americans, a group that has shown scant support for the president.

“Kanye West must have some power because you probably saw I doubled my African American poll numbers. We went from 11 to 22 in one week,” Trump said May 4 at the National Rifle Association’s annual conference in Texas, without identifying the source of the data.

He’s so pathetic. That’s where I am now: it would be great to feel strongly about any of this, but whenever I see him or hear him speak or read his words, I just feel sad. He’s a vile, pathetic old man who lies all the time. He’s racist and he yells a lot and all he wants to do is watch TV and tweet. Speaking of, a sampling of recent tweets:

He’s just a pathetic old man. Stop treating his tweets like they need a 30-minute panel discussion analysis. Take his tweets at face value: they are the unhinged rantings of a man who watches Fox News every morning while he takes a morning dump.

I agree the media needs to stop the over-analyzing of his tweets. Part of the reason he tweets is because he likes knowing he can send out a tweet and CNN will talk about that for 24 hours. Like you said he’s an unhinged old man (with a tremendous amount of power, which is terrifying) who watches fox news and rants on twitter.

that said….its kind of funny to say that we should stop taking his tweets seriously and over-analyzing them in a post about…..his tweets.

    • Swack says:

I agree that his tweets are over analyzed but they need to keep coming because they really show what he is thinking and who he truly is.

LOL, ok Agent Orange. Such a buffoon.

  3. Babs says:

    I don’t believe it.

  4. Nellyy says:

Kim and Kanye DID NOT improve his numbers . If you had read that Bloomberg report further, you will realise that Reuters admitted that the number of blacks who voted in the polls that Trump cited was not significant enough to conclude that his standing in the black community has improved.

    😂😂😂

  6. Babs says:

I always find this type of statistics so off-putting because they are strictly forbidden in my country.

    • Swack says:

I always take all statistics with a grain of salt. The person using the statistics puts his/her bias into how they interpreting them.

  7. Lala says:

Watching Kim and Kanye continuously play themselves cheap…has been FASCINATING!

  8. Peeking in says:

I wake up every morning, and look at the headlines in the hopes he’s no longer for this world. I don’t care how cold and callous this reads, I mean it, too many people suffer under his rule, and it will only get worse. This is the first time in my life I’ve felt this loathing and disdain for another person.

    • Jerusha says:

Not cold and callous at all compared to what I hope for him and all who enable him. Barron is the only one I spare in my daydreams.

    • Peeking in says:

Jerusha – I have to switch the channel whenever he comes on, because his voice makes me think violent thoughts. Every time he speaks I want to punch him in the throat.

      • Jerusha says:

My mute button is almost worn out.

      • Swack says:

His voice is so annoying that I can’t even get past the voice itself to be able to listen to what he is saying (not that I would want to listen).

      • NameChange says:

I have to read his vile statements, cause I can’t listen to him.

    • Peeking in says:

Swack – exactly! I can’t do it. The sound of his voice literally (and I mean literally) makes me angry every time. That man brings out the worst in most people, whether they’re for or against him.

  9. adastraperaspera says:

Kanye and Kim must owe him something, and this is how they’re working it off. To me, that’s the only explanation. Trump benefits from causing confusion and dividing people. Like a schoolyard bully, he keeps throwing sand in our faces.

  10. Lightpurple says:

Does he know that Kim is white?

    • Giddy says:

Please don’t tell him. I hope he points to Kim and Kanye in a crowd and says “ Look at my African Americans over here.” He would be so excited that his AA crowd had increased from one to two.

    • gate666 says:

      she is not considered white.

      • Lightpurple says:

All the bronzers and photoshop and self-tanners in the world will not change the fact that Kim Kardashian is a white woman born of two white parents.

      • Carmen says:

Who doesn’t consider her white? What do they consider her as?

  11. Taxi says:

Kanye & Donnie are both delusional. They can reinforce each other’s egocentrism & false perceptions of their “genius.”

  12. blondems says:

It’s such a small thing out of all the bullsh*t but this orange pillock’s random Capitalising of some Words for effect drives me absolutely mad. I mean, I hate everything about him but for some reason just seeing this raises my blood pressure…

  13. Swack says:

We went from 11 to 22 in one week,” Trump said. Guess he means 11% to 22% because when I read this I was thinking who celebrates going from 11 people to 22 people (in voting numbers it means nothing). 🙂

  14. Dragonlady sakura says:

I’m not speaking for the entire black community, but the majority of people I know think this man is a crazed buffoon. The conservative black voters who voted for this cretin are the same people who will vote for a canadiate no matter his qualifications or in Trumps case, lack there of. This man has been constantly silent on police brutality, but will rant if an NFL Player kneels for the national anthem. Trumps only cares about being worshipped because he’s an immature childish man.

  15. Lynnie says:

    😂💀😂💀😂💀

    ^^^ me at the title.

In my experience the majority of black people don’t take the kardashians seriously/ don’t like them for various reasons. The ones that do are only into them for superficial reasons (usually misguided taste in clothes, celebrity, and that horrible attitude that “well they’re making lots of money/are everywhere so they must be doing something right” that seems to be pervading a lot of different groups rn).

Most black people always had a soft spot for Kanye cuz of old Kanye, and they were holding out hope that some day that figure would come back (sans kardashians), but after all the slavery comments/trump fan nonsense most of that is done with.

In short, no one in the black community are using these two as basis for any opinion changes they have in trump. If anything, it only solidifies what they currently think of him even more 😂

    • NameChange says:

I don’t know @Lynnie. I thought Kanye would be canceled for sure after the slavery comments and the Trump support, but there are plenty of black people still supporting him. And he’s influential, so it annoys me to no end that he is normalizing Trump in this way and that Kim is meeting with Trump, which further normalizes his tyranny, notwithstanding that she’s probably doing it to detract from Kanye’s actions while in the throes of mental illness.

      • Lynnie says:

There’ll still be plenty of black people supporting him (after all many black People still support R. Kelly to some degree), but I think a greater number of people have finally stopped giving him a pass in regards to the slavery comment (just like a greater number of people stopped giving R. Kelly a pass after all of his misdeeds started coming out.) The only thing really saving Kanye at this point is that he just got freshly diagnosed, so people aren’t coming down too hard on him because they can’t tell how much of this is really him vs. the illness. Once that becomes more apparent over time then a definite response will form depending on the reason why. Also Old Kanye was really loved and people just want to see that come back so I think they’re still holding out for that ya know?

If it makes you feel any better I don’t think Kanye has normalized trump. If anything I think people see his endorsement as a sign of how crazy times have become. And the Kim prison reform thing is a flash in the pan. trump has already forgotten about the meeting I’m sure, his supporters don’t like her and what she was advocating for, and Kim’s fans were using the visit to show how “serious and hard-working” and mainly to prove the point that she doeS do something. All of which conveniently ignores the bigger point about prison reform. As soon as the media stops ogling over the meeting people were forget

  16. Pandy says:

Kimye want to be able to say that a president – any president – will take a meeting with them. Once pegged a jackass by Obama, they settled on another reality star to make their dreams come true. They are all tools.

  17. Lilith says:

Bahahaha! As a Black woman voter I can say that is NOT true. Kanye has lost so much credibility with the Black community. He has completely sold out.
