In our second Gossip with Celebitchy podcast, CB talked about how much she loves Laura Dern. (That’s at 27 minutes in.) Dern has been having a career Renaissance over the past four years or so, and I know CB is not alone in her Dern-love. But honestly, I can’t stand her. It’s not that Dern has done anything to me personally and it’s not like a pinpoint the exact reason why she bugs me so much. But she just bugs. She’s just one of those people I irrationally dislike. So I’ll be skipping out on JT Leroy, the mostly true story of Laura Albert (played by Dern) creating an entirely fake persona of JT Leroy and writing several fake-ass memoirs as Leroy. When “Leroy” had to make public appearance, Albert asked her sister-in-law Savannah Knoop (played by Kristen Stewart) to stand in for her, in drag. The film is probably a dramedy. Here’s the trailer:
Last night was the LA premiere of the film and Laura and Kristen looked friendly and like they enjoyed working together. Kristen seems… okay these days? She’s been okay for a while. She’s less angsty in general these days, and as far as I know, she’s still dating Sara Dinklin. They’ve been pap’d together frequently since they started up last December. Kristen wore a Thom Browne suit for the premiere – thoughts? It looks okay. Her hair… I guess she’s trying to just grow out the blonde rather than dye it. Her hair was probably crazy-overprocessed and she’s trying to do less with it.
I don’t know who designed Dern’s leather dress but it’s too much. Bella Thorne wore Dsqaured2. I’ve never been into Jim Sturgess.

I can’t stand her either. Also, she has always struck me as fake and over-the-top as an actress.
Good to know Jim Sturgess is still hot as all f***. To me, anyway.

They make suits and leather dresses that are actually flattering, but these are not. Way too much fabric on both of these outfits. Laura’s hair looks great, but that’s about it between the two of them.

Watched the trailer though and it still feels like the same ol’ Kristen. I know she’s supposed to have matured and become this amazing actor since the twilight films but I still see awkward Bella every time I watch her.
I never thought Kristen was hot when she wasn’t out. Now that she’s out I think she’s absolutely sex on wheels. Not sure why, but there it is.
Sturgess would be my type if he wasn’t so pale. And the shirt wasn’t so offensively 80s in cut.
And that is the least colour and most cloth I have ever seen Bella wear. I didn’t recognize her.

Yep, I felt the same way about LD until I saw a little show called Enlightened and became a fan. It was great and she was pitch perfect. But, back in the day when she was getting big roles in big movies like Jurassic Park, Wild at Heart, Blue Velvet, Rambling Rose… I never really understood the appeal and she bordered on irritating. Now she’s doing some interesting work. And dating younger guys. #rolemodel
