So, was Taylor Swift & Karlie Kloss’s falling out really about Scooter Braun?

Scooter Braun posted this Instagram of Karlie Kloss’s British Vogue cover. It’s the same cover and cover story where she talked about converting to Judaism for Joshua Kushner and all of that. The interview came out after Karlie Kloss and Joshua had gone through their second wedding celebration, which was cowboy-themed in Wyoming. Interestingly enough, the Wyoming wedding was reviewed again by old-school Kaylor people. “Kaylor” was the portmanteau of Karlie and Taylor Swift, and there was a huge fanbase of shippers who believed that Karlie and Taylor were actually together, and romantically involved. If it happened – and I don’t know if it did – it was over years ago, because Karlie and Taylor have been on the outs for several years now. Basically, since Reputation, 2016/17.

Anyway, it’s all connected, I promise. Scooter Braun is Karlie’s manager. Scooter Braun was one of the guests at Karlie’s Wyoming wedding. Scooter and Karlie are tight. Is it possible that Taylor Swift decided that Scooter Braun was responsible for The Receipts of 2016, and that was when Taylor decided to cut out all of Scooter’s clients from her life, or at the very least, keep those people at a distance? Was the Kaylor fallout always about Scooter Braun, especially given what we know now about how Taylor believes Scooter has been waging a bullying campaign against her, through his clients?

We’ve gotten a few tips about this theory of the Kaylor breakup, and honestly, the timeline fits perfectly. The Receipts of 2016 – where Kim Kardashian posted Taylor and Kanye’s phone conversation on Snapchat – was the moment Taylor shifted so much in her life. In the months that followed, Tiddles burned brightly then burned out. Taylor’s squad was basically disassembled. She started her super-private thing with Joe Alwyn. She began recording Reputation. And on and on. It was also when Karlie and Taylor just stopped hanging out so much, almost like Taylor phased her out.

Anyway, the fact that Scooter posted Karlie’s British Vogue cover on his Instagram has reminded the Snake Fam that Karlie is managed by Scooter and that Karlie and Scooter are still tight. And that Scooter went to Karlie’s wedding and Taylor Swift didn’t. It’s all connected, isn’t it?

I’m definitely a Kaylor truther, and I buy this. I’m bi, and I had a really similar relationship with a female co-worker once. We both went through awful breakups at the same time and started spending all our time together (easy since we sat two desks away). We were basically dating (doing the things people do in private), but if anyone asked, we were just the BEST of friends. It fizzled eventually. She unknowingly dated an ex of mine and we stopped talking.

They were already fizzling and on their way out when the “receipts” happened, so Karlie sticking with Braun was the nail in the coffin.

    Just my take.

    • Purrrr says:

Agreed! I also think Reputation is all about Karlie

      • Gingerbread says:

I honestly think Taylor is definitely bi, at the very least. Some of her songs are so gay, there’s no way you could convince me they weren’t written for a girl. She had a very intense relationship similar to Karlie with Diana Argon and then they suddenly stopped hanging out. There’s a rabbit hole you can fall down in on tumblr. I don’t know if their falling out had anything to do with Scooter though, her fans need to take a breather, and focus on actual problems the world has.

OMG, I totally agree. You can’t convince me that “Gorgeous” and “Delicate” aren’t about Karlie. There are so many things that seem like obvious nods to her. The references to Nikes? The bit about meeting in a neighborhood Karlie was living in at the time?

I need to take my tinfoil hat off and actually do work now. LOL.

Didn’t Scotter’s wife said Taylor “drops friends like wilted flowers” or something? Maybe she did see it first hand lmao
Eh but whatever, people stop being friends all the time and grow apart. We just tend to focus a lot on Swifty because she made this huge deal about the squad being her bffs when in reality those people were all acquaintances at best.

    • LL says:

Yes, we know his wife was talking about Karlie. But his wife was trying to make Taylor look bad and Karlie is so fake. In that interview Karlie said she is a feminist, but she is supporting Scooter and Scooter is so sexist. It was so funny when this fake feminist tried to explain why she had to convert.

      • Otaku fairy... says:

Is Scooter actually sexist though, or just an equal opportunity douchebag/Hollywood opportunist? So far I haven’t heard anything about him that merits all female clients being told to sever ties with him as a feminist statement (abuse).

      • FT says:

He re posted something like: When your friend buys Taylor Swift…
His clients said he is not a bully, but that post is disgusting. And don’t forget THAT video (Kanye West). But I’m sure Karlie doesn’t care about that video… (Because it’s not about her.) She cares about fame. That’s why she is working with Scooter.

The thing that I find interesting about the Kaylor shippers is it assumes that both Taylor and Karlie are actually gay, and their relationships (and now marriage, for Karlie) are beards. If they had both been single, I could see them being bi. But I don’t buy that they were both having bearding relationships and a secret relationship on the sly.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Taylor is bi. But I don’t believe that all of her relationships have been contracts and beards.

    • phaedra7 says:

      (Including Hiddles. . . . .)

      • Arizona says:

I don’t know that I think that was a contract, though. Like I think to HER it basically was – she said it herself, he was the “getaway car” out of her relationship with Calvin Harris, and a way to distract the media from the Summer of Receipts. But I think he seemed to genuinely like her and have no idea what was going on.

    • Gingerbread says:

I definitely believe Karlie/Taylor were hooking up, but I don’t necessarily believe all their het relationships are beards. I tend to believe a lot of Taylor’s public relationships were for PR. Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas, Tom Hiddleston..they all lasted like two months and were so thoroughly documented that it’s hard for me to believe they weren’t fake. Idk about her current one or that DJ ( I forgot his name).

      • Arizona says:

I think she’s just a very high strung girlfriend, tbh. I mean she wrote basically an entire album about how madly in love she was with both Harry Styles and Jake Gyllenhaal, and they were together for 2 months each. I could see Joe Jonas and Harry Styles being for PR, but I think Hiddleston and Gyllenhaal were legit – especially since neither of them are known for PR relationships that I’m aware of.

I don’t think her being with Joe or Calvin Harris were PR relationships, especially given how long they lasted compared to her other relationships.

My problem with the idea that Taylor and Karlie were hooking up is that the implication is that Karlie was openly cheating on her now-husband for, what, years? That doesn’t make sense to me. Of course, I’ve also had people make insinuations about very close female friendships that I’ve had, and there was never any hooking up there!

      • Gingerbread says:

Karlie herself stated multiple times in multiple interviews that she didn’t have time for a boyfriend around 2012-2014 when she was supposedly dating Josh. Maybe they were on/off? That was another reason why people insisted kaylor were hooking up. I mean, there’s a video of them kissing at a 1975 concert.

      • Arizona says:

@Gingerbread Yeah, I watched that video and have seen the pictures and to be honest, it doesn’t look like they were making out to me at all. And I looked up a timeline of their relationship, and it looks like they were pretty consistently together through 2012-2014. https://www.heyalma.com/a-timeline-of-karlie-kloss-and-joshua-kushners-relationship/

    • Mo says:

I have a Kaylor blog in my Tumblr feed just for the humor. What amazes is the refusal to realize that while there may have been a relationship, it is by now long over. They still analyze everything either of them does and come to the conclusion that it is a secret message to let all the fans know that they are totally gay and will come out of the closet together soon. At least you can appreciate the yearning and wish fulfillment going on, and hope they find something else in their life to give them the acceptance they want fro Taylor and Karlie, unlike the Benedict Cumberbatch hires child actors to pretend to be his kids bunch.

I think Taylor is just in love with falling in love, bores easily, and is turned on by the drama and publicity. Thus, the very public nature of her “courtships.” I can see dudes going, OK this is kind of weird, but going along with it. Two to three months is about the length of time relationships can run on an initial attraction, before some effort and emotional intelligence is called on. Color me skeptical when one of the proofs of a “contract” is a pattern well known to therapists and counselors. Is there someplace where I can get a rundown on what the modern notion of a “contract” is about? I know they exist, but everyone else is claiming to know the details.

The whole Tiddles thing was just sad. At least Tom seems to be coming out of whatever he went through at last. There doesn’t seem to be any recognition that he had some sort of rupture with Hemsworth at about the same time. There were double dates with Taylor and Chris’s wife, and then… you never see them together, even at the same event.

  4. JM says:

Scooter (good God, still can’t believe a grown man goes by that insipid name) is clearly a douchebag. He knew what he was doing by posting this so close to the Swift blowup. I am no Taylor Swift fan, but this really is snake-like.

    • Arizona says:

He posts stuff for and about his clients all the time. Karlie is his client. He’s not going to not post about her because Taylor did her blog post. I don’t think this is snake-like at all.

    • nikki says:

Ha, ha: laughing at your comment on his name!!

    • holly hobby says:

So the man can’t post about his client’s achievements? Please not everything is done to hurt Miss Snake.

    • FT says:

He posted that because he bought that cover. That interview is ridiculous: “I’m smart, I’m a feminist and I’m a role model. That’s what my manager said.”

  5. harlequin says:

I find Karlie blah. Taylor at least gives us drama lol

  6. MellyMel says:

It is interesting that most of the ppl Taylor has had issues with at some point are represented by Scooter or are very friendly with him. Karlie, Justin, Katy, Kim & Kanye, Demi…

    • Otaku fairy... says:

I’m kind of curious about why Demi Lovato has personally disliked Taylor Swift for years now. It’s strange. I wonder if we’ll ever find out who started what?

  7. Ann says:

I am interested to know why they had a falling out. All these theories about them being a couple don’t do anything for me. If Taylor was bi I think she’d have come out about it by now. I think it has more to do with Karlie’s friendships with known Taylor enemies. She never stopped being friends with Katy Perry when that was still going on. I think I also recall Karlie going to various Kardashian things, like Christmas parties, after the receipts. Taylor dropping someone over something petty and stupid sounds more plausible to me than a secret Bi-lite relationship.

I really hate that Vogue cover, btw. Terrible!
