Can you believe that we’re coming up on Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin’s one-year wedding anniversary? It’s true. No one knows for absolute sure, but they seem to have gotten legally married at some point around September 10-13 last year (maybe). They did the legal marriage at City Hall because they wanted to have sex – Justin and Hailey later said they were celibate with each other in the months leading up to the wedding. They also said they were planning on doing a religious wedding at some point, but they just never got around to it and I sort of forgot that they never followed through with it. So with their one-year anniversary looming, I guess they think NOW is the time:
Justin and Hailey Bieber are thiiiiiissss close to finally pulling the trigger on a date for their formal wedding celebration … we’ve learned it looks like the party will go down next month. Sources close to the couple tell TMZ … they’re eyeing a date in September for close friends and family to help celebrate their marriage. The timing shouldn’t come as much of a shock, since they got hitched last Sept. 13 at an NYC courthouse.
The shindig could serve as both an anniversary and wedding party. Our sources say the exact day hasn’t been set … but JB and HB plan to send out invites in a week. As for married life … we’re told Justin is in a great space both personally and creatively and couldn’t be happier. Friends say he and Hailey are a perfect fit.
Justin posted a love letter to Hailey Thursday, saying, “I fall more in love with you every single day. You are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I would be lost without you.”
Justin and Hailey have had 3 false starts on a formal wedding celebration … the dates weren’t working for some of the guests so the “save the date” had to be scrapped 3 times. But, this time it looks like a go. We don’t know if the shindig will go down in the U.S. or Canada. Hey, we can’t know everything.
A year ago, I didn’t really care – I thought they were both behaving like dumb kids. But one year later, I find myself sort of rooting for them. Justin seemed to be in a rather fragile state in the months leading up to the civil wedding, and that fragility continued months into their marriage. Hailey is his stabilizing force – which is so much weight to carry at her age, to be “the mature one,” the stable one. But she seems to love him and he loves her. So I am sort of rooting for them. They’re messy but, hey, I didn’t even think they’d make it a year.

My first year married was so hard for me and now it’s the happiest most joyful part of my life! I hope they grow happier.
Also, kind of happy they didn’t rush towards kids (if they decide to have them at all) – they’re so young and there are so many things to be done before kids and I am glad they seem to be doing ALL THE CHILDFREE THINGS!
Not just you Kaiser. I really though a separation announcement was gonna come this summer.

So the update on their marriage is all about him. I guess that’s pretty spot on. I hope this girl finds the space to be more than just a support to him in their marriage.
