So many invited guests to Prince Andrew’s birthday party are suddenly ‘unavailable’

Duke of York Pitch@Palace event

His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, the Duke of York turns 60 years old today. Even though he raped a trafficked teenager, he still has use of his ducal title and HRH style. Even though he was dear friends with multiple rapists and pedophiles for years, he still gets a big-boy birthday party thrown for him by the Queen. One of the few things he won’t get today is a naval promotion, but don’t worry, he’s merely deferring the promotion until he’s back to full-time royal status, which should be any day now, because his mummy loves to signal to the world that she’s A-OK with everything about HRH Andrew. Well, regarding the party… we’ve heard that Meghan and Harry won’t be flying in (LMAO) for it, but did you know that almost no one wants to go?

Prince Andrew has withdrawn from royal duties ever since his ill-fated Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis. But nothing quite illustrates the Duke of York’s dizzying fall from grace than the manner in which a number of his friends — or those he thought of as friends — have shunned the chance to join him tomorrow on his 60th birthday. He is celebrating the day with a private dinner at Royal Lodge, the Windsor residence he shares with his ex-wife, Fergie.

Indeed, I can disclose such has been the number of guests who have discovered they are ‘unavailable’ that additional invitations to the bash have been sent out by Jane Clarke, Fergie’s assistant.

‘I have been asked by The Duchess of York and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie to invite you to a private dinner at Royal Lodge at 7.30 pm on Wednesday, 19th February,’ she alerts recipients, before emphasising that the event is ‘in celebration of the Duke of York’s 60th birthday’.

Lest any of these second-tier guests feel they may lack time to doll themselves up appropriately, Clarke adds: ‘The dress code is suits and cocktail dress.’ Clarke asks them to alert her of ‘any dietary requirements’.

It’s all a far cry from Andrew’s 50th. By then, his association with Jeffrey Epstein — the disgraced U.S. financier who was found dead in a New York prison cell last August — was well known, but it failed to deter a string of glamorous women from attending the Duke’s birthday bash, which was held over a weekend at St James’s Palace.

[From The Daily Mail]

It’s just going to be Fergie, Beatrice, Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank at the party, right? Jack probably won’t be able to get out of it, but I bet Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will find a way to skip it. Maybe poor old mummy will cancel too! No, she won’t. She’ll put in an appearance for her favorite. My guess is that Charles, Camilla, William, Kate and Anne will all skip it too. What about Edward and Sophie? They might pop by, but oh look at the time, you know what, we really must dash. Toodles!

I really can’t imagine Sensible Sophie showing up, and Andy and Edward aren’t very close anyway.

    • Elizabeth says:

Especially considering they have a teenaged daughter.

    • Sunshine says:

Wessexes are skiing in Switzerland (Instagram paps). The Cambridge’s are probably doing the same elsewhere uninterrupted. I thought I saw Beatrice on a Pakistan Royal trip. It’s in the Pakistan papers and on Twitter (not the U.K. ones interestingly).
I can’t believe wait for the Sussexes to be 100 percent free of this family because they are suffering to hide stuff of the others. Sad.

      • Becks1 says:

I think Beatrice is in Pakistan for her job, not as a representative of the royal family.

      • notasugarhere says:

Did Edward and Sophie take their regular private jet to get to Switzerland? That’s what they’ve always done in the past.

      • pivote says:

Maybe, notasugarhere. I thought the consensus was that all Royals should always fly private because it’s safer? Or when a bank offers you a private coast to coast one, because it would be rude to say no.

      • Becks1 says:

@Nota’s point is that there is no uproar in the press over their use of a private jet.

      • natalia says:

And there was no uproar in the press over the Sussexes flying private to Florida, either.

      • Becks1 says:

It was absolutely a talking point among many of the RRs. they just couldn’t actually confirm it.

  2. Originaltessa says:

Yeah, shocking. This is all so tone deaf. Bringing ANY attention to Andrew right now is despicable. A birthday party? For fu$&s sake.

    • whatWHAT? says:

seriously. just fade quietly, dude. you’re lucky enough to escape prosecution (so far) for all the children you victimized. just shut up and go away.

Kaiser (and all celebitchy writers) – thank you for using the picture of him with Ms. Guiffre, and I hope you use it EVERY TIME. keep reminding everyone that he trafficked and raped children.

    • Nikki* says:

This, 100 times! WHAT ARE THEY THINKING????

    • mac says:

How dumb are these people that they thought anyone would show up to Andrew’s party? He is persona non grata for life.

    • BayTampaBay says:

What is QEII’s reason or excuse for not attending this party?

  3. lili/lirael/whatever says:

If I know I don’t have many friends I spend my bday with the closest one. Why did he want a huge party at all?

    • Originaltessa says:

His closest friend was murdered in a jail cell…

      • pivotta says:

Epstein killed himself. And we should all be thankful for it.

      • Originaltessa says:

Why would anyone be thankful if he killed himself? Escaping justice and hindering the investigation? Yeah, no.

      • Maria says:

Seconding originaltessa. Seriously what a ridiculous comment. Even if he did kill himself, NO, we should not be thankful, for SO many reasons. It makes it MORE likely his associates will continue to traffic girls since the information and investigation is severely impeded.

      • YaGotMe says:

Epstein didn’t kill himself. The other monsters with similar appetites protected themselves while a complicit “justice” system allowed it.

      • Some chick says:

His closest “friend” was absolutely murdered in a jail cell.

(I don’t believe that narcissists can truly be friends with anyone other than themselves.)

The “suicide” narrative remains (no pun intended!) highly suspicious. To say the least.

He was offed. I’m quite curious as to whether Ms Complicit Ghislaine still draws breath somewhere. She also knows too much.

      • mac says:

I wasn’t on board with the murder theory until the surveillance footage Barr reviewed magically disappeared.

      • Jaded says:

@pivotta: Epstein was likely “suicided”. Either way it got him out of the gene pool.

    • MeghanNotMarkle says:

Because he needs somewhere to fit his massive ego.

    • ravynrobyn says:

@ LILI/LIRAEL/WHATEVER-As Prince Paedo doesn’t think he did ANYTHING wrong, I’m certain the thought of his friends not wanting to be associated with him (at a celebratory BIRTHDAY party, no less!!!) would never even cross his rotted fug-ass brain. UGHHH.

      BTW, LOVE your name!

    • Sean says:

@mac, let us not forget that it was Barr’s father, Donald Barr who hired Epstein for a teaching position at a prestigious prep school despite Epstein being a college drop out.

  4. LahdidahBaby says:

Andrew got used to the command appearances of innocent, unworldly pubescent girls, I guess. But it doesn’t work that way with adults who have reputations to protect.

  5. MeghanNotMarkle says:

I’m shocked that people don’t want to hang out with a known pedophile. *snort*

  6. Rapunzel says:

Should’ve thrown the party at the Pizza Express in Woking, lol.

    • Some chick says:

      😂 😂 😂

      Perhaps they are catering it.

Oh, wait. That would go against Royal Protocol!

  7. Jessica says:

Wrong … he likely raped many girls. Disgusting. And the way the queen (I won’t capitalize her name) continues to stand up for him Is abhorrent.

    • Capepopsie says:

      + 10.000
      I’m SO disgusted! 🤢

    • (TheOG) jan90067 says:

Let’s never forget the video of Pedo opening the door HIMSELF to Epstein’s Manhattan home, letting one girl out, waving to her, and letting another in!

Do we think he’d EVER open his own door at home???

  8. Trish-a says:

I don’t mean to make light of this but do you suppose he attacks 12 year olds because they get to have braces? Those teeth. He’s a monster.

    • maggi says:

Those teeth…every time I see that picture, I get a clear picture of what it might have been like for a young girl to have that nasty mouth of broken picket fence coming in for the kill. makes me feel like vomiting but I keep looking and keep thinking since these f*ckers bank on collective amnesia.

      • Trish-a says:

I agree. Devastating to be raped. But seeing those teeth. And having to see them free walking around attached to this monster. Too much.

  9. Andrew’s Nemesis says:

Anyone know if its illegal to FedEx a ‘prince of the realm’ a bag of scorpions?

  10. Digital Unicorn says:

They’re all in prison or having an alibi dinner at Pizza Express Woking!!!

  11. I love that this story was leaked, and I’d love to know which one of the royal Houses leaked it 🥳 In another story on this same event, the article actually referred to the second round of invitations that were sent out to ‘second tier friends’ because the people they really wanted to attend had mostly declined. SECOND TIER INVITE RECIPIENT: Can you imagine — having received a very late invitation to the event — you now realize that you have been invited as ‘a second tier friend.’ What could be more fun than rolling in to the dinner knowing you’re only there because the people they really wanted to attend showed some moral guts and declined. Yeah, that would be a pleasant dinner. If I had accepted — after reading this story — I would have to call and regret. Hope they do.

    • Kiera says:

I’m going with Charles and his team. I honestly think he can’t believe his mom is trying to rehabilitate Andrew. What would be awesome is if he actually said something but he is still so caught up in the stupid stiff upper lip stuff/royal mystique he can’t.

      • Eleonor says:

        Agreed.
He has been trying to get rid of Andrew for years, now he has all the tools and he is using them.

    • Ainsley7 says:

I doubt that Andrew’s closest friends are declining because of their morals. Epstein wasn’t his only questionable friend by a long shot.

    • Becks1 says:

I think Charles leaked it. This seems like the kind of thing he would leak.

I don’t think the people declining are doing so because of “moral reasons” but more for PR reasons. They don’t care what Andrew did on Epstein’s private island, they care that its in the papers right now and they don’t want to be associated with him because of that – the messy publicity around it.

      • YaGotMe says:

I agree on both counts. I generally don’t buy it that all of these stories have a ‘source’ or a ‘leak.’ I think most of them are made up at the water cooler.

This truly does feel like a story with an agenda and I hope it is Charles.

I also agree that the lack of attendees has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with image. If it were a private party and no chance of being exposed for attendance, I”m sure it would be a different story.

      • You guys are right. Using ‘moral guts’ was my bad. I’m sure any regrets were mostly self-interest. 🧐

      • (TheOG) jan90067 says:

TOTALLY AGREE! They just don’t want to be papped driving in.

    • Eleonor says:

      Maybe Ghislaine will show up?

  12. kellebelle says:

Not only would I be “unavailable,” I’d tell them to stuff it and also just how shameless they are. They’ve got to be kidding. They’re only embarrassing themselves further. All the lies they told in denial of his actions were bad enough, but this party? Come TF off it.

  13. Lisa says:

Big shock. Noone with any sense will be around him right now or ever.

  14. Guest with Cat says:

I keep wondering what it is about Andrew that keeps his mother so in thrall to him. It can’t be that she had more time with him because it’s well known she had breakfast with Edward and it completely slipped her mind it was his birthday.

I found a picture of him as a young man with Lord Porchester and there’s some superficial resemblance that can be easily dismissed. But this more recent photo of him as an older man makes it harder to dismiss the likeness. It’s hard to say because Andrew is kind of an outlier in looks compared to the rest of the family. He is stocky and the only one whose eyes aren’t ridiculously close together. I guess only his mother really knows why he’s the favorite. In the aftermath of 9-11 the queen gave an oddly personal and poignant speech that referenced love and loss. It just so happened to coincide with Lord Porchester’s death. It all makes me wonder a lot of things.

I just find it so strange that the Queen, who seems to have a great deal of difficulty emotionally supporting her other children, dotes on this particular son, who has the least going for him as a person.

As for his birthday party, I agree with everyone that it should be held at the Pizza Express in Woking. Open it to the public and his supporters in the Daily Mail comments section will fill the place to capacity. A good time will be had by all.

They will have to make sure the air circulation isn’t impeded, though. Poor Andrew can’t perspire and could overheat. And his Mum wouldn’t want the poor sausage to faint at his own birthday party.

    • The Recluse says:

Weird how that works. My grandma had a favorite child, one of her sons, who was also a piece of work. The rest of her family came second to him. And he was a liar and a crook with some disturbing friends.

    • aria says:

I have said this somewhere that Andrew is lord Porchester’s child. I mean I have my doubts on harry but recently he is hitting hard with Windsor gene like Charles got his around 35 but William and Edward got it soon. In science, genetics plays a major role, that no one cant fool the genetics. The male baldness genes are typically passed from father to son. The rest of the male Windsor got it but Andrew is 60 but so sings of baldness is very clear that he is not Philip’s son. Also, lord Porchester has dyslexia, surprising one of the york girls have it. Those things pass from their grandparents to the grandchild. There are may illegitimate children in Windsor clan. Wait and watch if George or Louis doesn’t get bald, it very much proves those are not Windsor. I think George will get bald like William sooner but I have my doubts on Louis, I don’t know why though. is that feeling whenever I saw him, something is not quite right.

      • Cate says:

I believe baldness is most often thought to be inherited from the maternal grandfather? So George and Louis should be good to go as their maternal grandfather, Mike Middleton, seems to still have a full head of hair.

And the maternal grandfather being bald is not a guarantee either. My maternal grandfather was totally bald. My two brothers are in their mid-30s so far still have plenty of hair. And one of them is a dead ringer for my grandfather (when he had hair) so I don’t think the issue is that my mother was secretly illegitimate.

As far as Andrew goes, who knows. Narcissist parents often have a “golden child” and being the golden child can be a hindrance in becoming a functional adult as you don’t get hit with consequences for your actions as much as your siblings. Who knows if QEII is a full blown narcissist but I can’t imagine she was a totally “normal” mother to any of her kids.

      • Lexistential says:

I definitely think Andrew is Lord Porchester’s son—he has a strong resemblance to Porchey’s mother Almina, Countess of Carnarvon (who herself was born an illegitimate Rothschild and was reputed to be a piece of work to her children).

I also think the Queen probably is in thrall to Andrew due to knowing that difference in parentage, and perhaps also from having had a genuine and easy connection to Porchey? Had she not become the heir and subsequently Queen, he probably could have become an ideal country partner for her, and she would have had horses and Downton Abbey to look after.

      • Aria says:

Cate , I’m talking about pre mature baldness like all windsors have. Your brothers may get in their late 50s . Baldness pass from father to son , not from maternal grandfather. It’s been proved scientifically that male gene pass baldness from father not from maternal grandfather.

      • whatWHAT? says:

wow…just googled pics of Porchie, and LAWD I agree that’s PedoAndy’s father.

      • Liz version 700 says:

Wow I just googled him and wow that is a strong resemblance.

      • Deedee says:

Male patterned baldness is inherited from the mothers side, not the fathers.

    • That’s interesting GuestWithCat, about Porchester’s death coinciding with 9/11 and Queen’s statement. This: Grief is the price we pay for love. Queen Elizabeth II after 9/11. —- was something that stayed with me. I wonder if she was reflecting on personal loss as well as the 9/11 tragedy.

    • Ohpioneer says:

I think if you throw a beard on Andy he bears quite a resemblance to Edward VII. Both portly and just a bit seedy looking from all the hard living. As a young man I’ve always thought he looked very much like his father’s uncle King Alexander of Greece. I think those Porchy rumors are nothing but rumors. I think TQ is too buttoned up to have had an affair.

      • whatWHAT? says:

she’s not as buttoned up as people think.

I have a family member who worked at the State Dept, pretty high up, working personally for both Condi Rice and HRC. he met and had lunch (tea, maybe?) with the Queen, and talked about how she ain’t as proper as people might think when she’s not in the public eye. he met her in a much more relaxed setting than something like a state dinner.

  15. Jessica says:

    Guest list, please.

    • aquarius64 says:

This. It’s probably the reason for the turn down for the invite. None of these people want to be papped coming or going to this shindig. The papers will drag them for days.

      • Shirleygailgal says:

I don’t believe for one second the papers would drag them for days…..unless they are breathing whilst black. Then, of course, all bets are off.
I have not been a cynical person my whole life…in fact, I actively fought against becoming cynical, even with the loads and loads of crap thrown my way. But this family is stronger than my personal goals. They have made me not trust a word, a story, a single thing. They are filth and need to be taken out with yesterday’s garbage. (I’m sorry, Harry, I’m sure you still feel some love and loyalty to your family and to the firm. I’m sorry they have treated you, but mostly your chosen woman and beloved baby son….so very, very badly).

  16. Amy Too says:

What’s with the bit about his 50th birthday being well attended by “glamorous women” as opposed to men and women? I would assume there were plenty of society and aristo couples there, not just women. Is the press throwing shade by trying to insinuate that his 50th birthday party was full of prostitutes and/or more victims? Or is the press just doing its usual women-hating thing, acting like it’s just a bunch of social climbing, fickle women who attended the party ten years ago for social advancement but are now suddenly refusing to attend this one to protect their own image, even though they knew the first time that Andrew was a rapist pedophile friend of Epstein? Or are they trying to cover for Andrew and cast doubts on the accusations against him by saying that even though a decade ago women knew he was friends with Epstein, they weren’t deterred or scared away from his party because they knew Andrew wasn’t a rapist, he was just friends with one?

  17. Lizzie says:

How much do taxpayers pay for his security? Bet it’s a lot.

  18. What. . .now? says:

Hahahaha! No one wants to be seen with the Pedo Prince! Serves him right! There should be more and more public shunning and shaming of this pompous fool — His Royal Buffoon!

  19. Amelie says:

If Edoardo truly wanted to make himself unavailable, he could use his son to get out of it since he’s so young. It’s what I would do if I were him. But honestly I don’t think the pedophile stuff seems to bother him much.

  20. Mrs.Krabapple says:

The queen and the rest of the family are caught in a bind. They cannot behave as if Andrew is guilty, because if they believed he was guilty then a lot of other things need to happen (criminal charges, etc.). So they have to pretend (or, they truly believe) he is innocent. In which case, they have to treat him as they always did. The best thing the royal family could do is insist Andrew work with authorities to clear his name, then they can justify treating him as they always did; or, evidence will require criminal charges, and then the family has grounds to cut him off completely. The fact that they are not requiring him to work with law enforcement makes me think they know — or strongly suspect — he is guilty.

  21. Coco says:

A birthday party is not an inalienable right.

  22. Jana says:

Who the hell wants to be photographed with a known pedophile…other than the birthday boy of course.

  23. aquarius64 says:

On the BRF website Andrew got a birthday shout out…but the post left off HRH.

  24. It's a dry heave says:

What gift do you get the Pedophile who has had everyone—er, everything???
