Ben Affleck & Ana de Armas went to lunch with his kids, they wore masks, she didn’t

BGUS_1954077_012
The last time we saw Ana de Armas she was hugging up on her friends, Djokovic-style, without any of them wearing masks. (They did wear masks at one point, but that’s not relevant if they were up in each other’s faces without them.) I wondered how Jennifer Garner would feel about that, considering how hands-on Ana has been with Jen and Ben’s kids. We’ve been hearing this narrative that Ana is getting to know Ben’s kids, and they’ve been stepping out together. Well Ana, Ben and two of his kids went to paparazzi hotspot Brentwood Country Mart for lunch on Saturday and everyone but Ana wore a mask.

Ana may have blocked Ana de Armas updates but she’s surely pays attention to coverage about herself. She knows people were taking her to task for not wearing a mask with her friends, and yet she did it again with Ben and his kids. Maybe she took it off so she could show her whole face in photos, as if we haven’t seen enough of it lately. (She’s lovely, you know what I mean.) She absolutely knows how that looks and what she’s doing.

On Sunday, Matt Damon, his wife Luciana and their two youngest daughters visited Ben at home. I hope they were socially distancing and washing their hands a lot. Also there are more photos of Ana from Saturday. You can see them through the Twitter link below.

I’m getting mega-diva vibes from her. What a disappointment.

    • Char says:

She’s so thirsty and looking so stupid.

      • tegteg says:

She is SO thirsty. She’s not wearing a mask because it gets her attention. People should stop covering her at this point; the public shaming isn’t doing anything.

Also, all I can see when I look at her is that bad nose job.

    • Evarista says:

I live in Tampa Florida and the red necks and the Cubans say that the COVID-19 is a hoax and that they don’t live in a Communist country and wearing masks infringe their rights/freedom. Ana was born and raised in Cuba. Perhaps she is part of those kind of people.

  2. bub244 says:

When I see pictures of all of them together in a group, she looks like one of his children.

    • FrenchGirl says:

She looks Young and ingenue whereas She is 32 and thristy

      • Mrs.Krabapple says:

She looks like she’s been gaining weight. There’s nothing wrong with that, but she strikes me as a shallow/superficial person who would be very bothered by weight gain.

    • AnnaKist says:

Yeah, she looks very young, but she knows what’s what.
      Two questions:
      1. Is that a wedding ring he’s wearing?
      2. Do you think he’s secretly wearing the other half of her heart pendant? 💔

    • Jess says:

The girl walking out with Matt Damon is his older stepdaughter.

  3. manda says:

Question: is Ana De Armas the only star not wearing masks and being ridic?

    • a says:

Adam Sandler and his wife weren’t wearing them on a grocery run yesterday. He’s a Republican so it’s probably a conscious choice.

Ana is carrying one so wore it at some point. Seems like a dumb PR move not to put it on for photographers.

  4. Eavan says:

her thirst is as appalling as her ignorance. masks save lives. how shallow

  5. Mumbles says:

Wait….he went out without hat or shirt with a Boston sports team on it? But that’s his *brand*.

  6. Mrs. Peel says:

But but but then my millions of adoring fans won’t see my purdy face!

    • Trashaddict says:

Sorry not just celebs, this is happening in my city too. Lots of pretty young 20-somethings who can’t bear to have a mask interfere with people gawking at them or taking their selfies. And my generation was supposed to be the selfish one?

  7. Darla says:

I really didn’t have anything against her, and unlike many here, I really like Ben and I root for him to keep his stuff on track, because I think he’s very talented, and very smart. But this Karen isht she is pulling with the masks, I’m starting to have something against her, I’ll tell ya.

    • smcollins says:

Same here. Yeah, his personal track record is super messy and he did Jen (and the children) dirty with his cheating, but I still really like him as an actor & director and still root for him. Ana was never on my radar until she got with Ben (I agree she was good in Knives Out but I didn’t see her as a huge standout or anything) and their whole love-on-parade thing began. Ben seems very happy, which is what actually matters, but she definitely comes across as very fame-hungry, which makes me kinda not like her. Consistently not wearing a mask makes me *really* not like her.

    • Otaku fairy says:

Same. She’s being pretty ridiculous, and if I were Jen, I would not be pleased with this at all.

      • Christina says:

This lady is feeling herself. That’s what Affleck likes and wants.

The more I watch him, the more I think that thirsty women are his thing. His wife was the fluke: an actress, but responsible and puts her kids first. You don’t hear so much about her relationship. Affleck may be smart about making movies, but not about relationships and how they could effect the others around him, namely his kids or the people who work at the public places he take his new love and children. Love is love, but he likes insecure, thirsty women who worship at the alter of his fame. Equals need not apply. No different than many men. They are rich and having fun. Maybe no one will get sick. Maybe they won’t be carriers who infect some waiter and his family.

  8. lola says:

She really dropped the “I’m not like other Hollywood stars” pretty fast, didn’t she? She’s showing her real face now. She only cares about herself. Good luck getting people to watch your movies, Ana!

Jen has been posting pics of herself in masks in her IG stories, reminding people to do the same. I don’t think she’s amused by this.

    • Theo says:

JG is a responsible mature single mother, while Ana acts like an immature, egocentric and irresponsible teenager. She seems to care only for herself, her photos, and she is unbelievably thirsty for publicity.

  9. Jess says:

If I was Ana’s PR team I would be doing some major moves to get some credibility back. She’s basically now in the ‘gets free clothes and dates Affleck’ mindset of people now.

  10. julia says:

What a selfish brat. Maybe someone should school her on the purpose of cloth masks. They don’t protect you from others, they protect others from you. Maybe she should put his kids before her own vanity. We’ve been bombarded with pictures of her smiling face anyways. No need for anymore. Put on the damned mask.

  11. Bibliomommy96 says:

In the top picture, she has a mask in her hands. So she wore it at some point. And I understand taking it off while you eat, and forgetting to put it back on, (I wear one for 10hrs a day, and somehow forget to put one on when I go grocery shopping,), but once you see everyone putting them on, that shouldn’t been the cue for her to put it on.

  12. Michael says:

I have no doubt she is not wearing a mask because the paps are there and she wants her whole face shown. She is mega ambitious and knows that she can cash in on the attention she will get from this relationship. At least she is a good actress so it is not a total waste

    • lola says:

She can score a spot on the real housewives, but this is not the way to become an acclaimed actor. She is tanking her acting career. She’s ruined the good rep she got from Knives Out. People are fed up with her and it will show at the box office.
Movies with her in it have come out in the last weeks and no one cares.

      • a says:

I don’t think anyone cares about her or her relationship enough for it to have an impact at the box office. Internet chatter is a niche thing.

      • lola says:

By that logic, no one will watch her movies as well.
Most people pay to see movies because of the actors in it. They won’t watch it if they don’t recognize her, and those who do recognize her remember her assholery during Covid and choose another movie.

  13. ME says:

I’m wondering did she get tested for anti-bodies and now thinks she’s invincible? Something doesn’t make sense here. I hope she knows researchers have found that anti-bodies only last a few months for those who had little or no symptoms of Covid-19.

    • Darla says:

That’s possible, and very believable, a lot of frequent travelers got it before any of us in the US were at real risk. But as a public figure constantly being photographed, she needs to wear her mask. The Science isn’t clear, and even though I personally think if you have the antibodies, you’re good, I would still wear a mask. Because no one knows that I have them. You do it for society. She’s Karen-ing out here and it’s really uncool and makes her look awful. To me anyway. She better put on that mask. This isn’t cute Ana. You’re not cute Ana.

    • Who ARE These People? says:

The antibody tests are not reliable. Too many false results. If you carry the virus (the antigen) and your test is a false negative, you’ll go around infecting people without realizing it.

      • ME says:

Yup totally agree. That’s why everyone should wear a mask (unless for a medical reason or you’re under the age of 2). I just don’t get this girl. A few days ago, this site posted her with friends, no mask on while she was inches from her friend’s face. She seems really “comfortable” with the idea that she can’t catch the virus or something. Weird.

  14. FHMom says:

Every time I turn on the news I get angry. We worked so hard in the NY area to contain Covid. California did, too. All other parts of the country had to do was keep it out. I know that in a month it will have traveled East and we will be back to where we started. No school. No jobs. Refrigerator trucks outside hospitals. Wear a f**king mask. It’s such a small inconvenience.

    • Darla says:

I feel the same way. I feel like we have a reprieve here in NY, but it’s gonna come back because of these maskless fools all over the country, yep. I expect to be on lockdown again by August. What really upsets me is the kids and the schools. They need to reopen, because hunger and child abuse rose when they closed. It’s very upsetting to me.

    • ladyN says:

There are lots of people in other states with poor leadership who have also been working hard to do everything right to contain the spread. All my friends and family have been holed up and masked since march here in Austin. Unfortunately you drive 15 min outside the city ( or downtown until the bars closed) and its as if covid didnt exist. It’s so incredibly frustrating knowing it will cause avoidable death and mental health effects on children, including my own-

      • Darla says:

We have Ana’s in NY too ladyN. But masks are mandated here and it helps so much. It’s why I can go grocery shopping. They need to be mandated in every state.

    • Princess Caroline says:

Same. I’m in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County took it very seriously, we’ve been shut down so long here. Then we reopen for 2 weeks and we go from 0 cases to the most in the state. See all these morons at bars and partying with no masks and no social distancing.

      • lucy2 says:

It’s very disturbing and infuriating to see people acting like everything is fine, and not following proper safety precautions.
NJ here, and it was really bad for a while but we’re now at the low…until we’re not anymore. People have to take this seriously.

  15. Marietta58 says:

I think it’s kind of disgusting number one that she isn’t wearing a mask, number two, that she’s wearing a shirt like that (with no bra) in front of his 11 and 8 year old children! Maybe if you’re in your early 20’s you’d wear that to the bar or a frat party, but that’s not something you should be wearing in your 30’s in front of children who you obviously took to a Toy store.

I have a friend who’s a former stipper and doesn’t dress like that in front of her kids. Because she wants to raise them the right way. Ana’s obviously just a fame wh**e and only wants to be noticed. And those jeans are a no for me.

And the photo is Matt and his eldest daughter, Alexia, not his wife Luci. Not to shame Alexia in any way, but Luci is thinner than her daughter. Pics on DM show a side view and it’s not Luci. But it’s good that Matt is hanging around Ben again. I feel like when Matt is in his life, he does pretty good with his sobriety.

    • EliseM says:

What you said. Who dresses like that in front of young kids? I am sure Jen would have a nice way of suggesting she pick something more appropriate when she is around her kids. Ditto on the pants. Her figure and those pants do not mix well.

    • Chaine says:

What’s with the bra policing? Oh no, without expensive, uncomfortable binding and padding, The Children might see the outline of a perfectly normal body part, *shocking.*. They are scarred for life now, I’m sure.

      • Hoot says:

Not to criticize either of you, but people are entitled to their own opinion on this site and in the real world. Lol, and I’m sure as h*ll not taking sides on this issue, because at different points in my life I’ve been on both sides of this fence. After all, this IS just one opinion versus another and not backed by science, unlike the issue of Covid19 and wearing masks, right?

      • Alyse says:

Yeah…. I’m her age & I’d wear that top for a casual occasion. It’s cute! It’s not for everyone, but it’s hardly Paris Hilton 2004 levels of scantily clad. It’s some bare back, big deal.

    • Otaku fairy says:

It’s pretty sexist to act like raising kids well has anything to do with whether or not women of any age wear bras or practice female modesty. An 8-year-old or an 11-year-old is not actually going to be scarred by a woman not wearing one and probably doesn’t even think about it until adults start making a big deal about whether or not women wear them.

      • Marietta58 says:

Who said anything about scarring the kids? And why would anyone be scarred exactly?? I could care less that Ana isn’t wearing a bra. Or even that she’s wearing a crop top. If she doesn’t want to wear a bra that’s her prerogative. That’s not the point I was making at all.

If she continues to wear clothing like this in front of his girls especially, they will think it’s normal. Monkey see, monkey do. But I doubt Jen would be okay with them wearing this type of clothing. If she is great! No issues.

On the other hand, it’s enough for the kids to have famous parents. They may get teased at school because of what their parents do in public, mainly Ben. And now Ana. Kids can be ridiculously cruel and I’m sure their parents wouldn’t want them to get made fun of because of Ana and what she wears in public. If they don’t get made fun of for anything than that’s wonderful. But being the age they are I doubt it. Maybe I’m just a cynic?

      • Hoot says:

“… until adults start making a big deal about…”

@Otaku fairy -I totally agree with your last sentence and how adults shape their kids’ view of the world. It reminds me of a friend I had.

We had babies within two months of each other, sons, and we’d both read a couple parenting books beforehand to prepare us for what was to come. Our comprehension of the information given, however, was so totally different. Specifically, I absorbed the fact that how I reacted to stressful situations around my baby/child would form his reality. When he’d take a tumble or get a minor injury, I would remain calm and reassure him with a hug, kiss the boo-boo, or apply first aid. But with my friend, every. single. thing. that happened to her boy was made into a major production, complete with drama and tears, and I could see how it affected the way he began reacting to everything in his world: always had a fearful expression on his face, was anxious and tense, would not try new things unless mommy was by his side. Her behavior went on past “toddlerhood,” and by age 6 it was entrenched in him. Early on I tried hard to tactfully explain to my friend what she was doing, but then I realized it was a part of who she was. (Plus, her husband and parents gave her enough grief about it). Fortunately, she was much less stringent with her view on the expression of female sexuality, so he didn’t end up those hang-ups. But he was always an anxious sort.

      • Otaku fairy says:

“If she continues to wear clothing like this in front of his girls especially, they will think it’s normal.” It….is pretty normal though? Plenty of women have gone braless in public. The girls’ parents can make their own rules for now in either direction, but grown women aren’t obligated to do something just because it’s what parents prefer for their minor children.

    • Mommy says:

If I were not a lady, I’d call you a number of things @Marietta58.
Female breasts are NORMAL. The canon of the super round, smooth, nipple-free, restricted tits is what’s abnormal, dammit. Bras are even suspected to obstruct lymphatic drainage and to cause breast cancer.
Of course, if people want to wear bras, that’s none of my business. Conversly, others not wearing is none of yours, @Marietta58.

I grew up around my mother and grandmother never wearing a bra. They were even going topless on the beach, and my grandmother did so until she died at 80-something.

      I guess I survived.

Hiding our breasts, even under clothing, is the fastest way to maintain the societal hyper-sexualization of the female body and making it a taboo. You shall not hide me @Marietta58, and I hope people will hold you accountable for saying oppressive things like that. This kind of discourse is what impedes progress of the female condition.

  16. Jayna says:

    She’s 33, not 32.

She is becoming disappointing. I loved her in Knives Out. She has a very expressive face and can really deliver emotion. She’s very pretty with a promising career. BUT her thirst is becoming so obvious. And if Ben won’t lay the law down about wearing a mask when out with her friends and his children, then as a very concerned mother, I would pull rank and have it out with Ben about his girlfriend.

    • Korra says:

All reports I have seen have her born in the year 1988. Are you saying she shaved a year off her age?

  17. Intheknow says:

I abhor violence especially given the state of the world at the moment. She has gone from ‘oh, I enjoy her acting, she’s pretty and sweet’ to having a superbly punchable face. She should hide it under a mask.

  18. Isa says:

I used to think she was cute and talented and now I find her annoying.

  19. PineNut says:

she is a little old to be acting the way she does.

  20. Valiantly Varnished says:

It’s official: I dont like her. I wanted to like her. But she’s made it impossible with her thirst and dumbassery. And the not wearing a mask thing is what solidifies my feelings about her. She’s an a$$hole.

  21. Tiffany says:

So her arms were cold but her back was not.

    How is that a shirt?

  22. Keira says:

CA Governor’s order in effect right now: where masks in public, period, unless eating, under 2yo, or medically exempt.

    • lola says:

Then Ana de Maskless needs to borrow Melania’s “I don’t really care, do you?” parka asap!

  23. Sorella says:

Liked her but not anymore. During this pandemic, she has been so tiresome and ruined her likeability. She is SO thirsty, immature and needs constant attention it seems. If i were JG i would not want her around the children when she was flaunting her unmasked self with her GFs the other day. She acts likes she’s 20 but then again, she does look like she could be Ben’s older daughter and not his GF.

  24. Case says:

Watched Knives Out this weekend and absolutely loved it. Part of the appeal of her character, for me, was that she’s relatively new to the scene and than anonymity allowed me to not have any preconceived ideas about her character. But the more exposure she gets with this nonsense, that will no longer be the case. Wear the freaking mask and stop going on pap walks.

  25. J ferber says:

To me, what’s disgusting is Ben not protecting his own children by having his gf wear a mask. If I were Jennifer, I’d be furious with HIM.

    • Hoot says:

J ferber – Exactly! It’s up to Ben to protect his kids, and if he’s shirking his responsibility in order to “keep the peace” (piece? lol), then shame on him. Jen will lay down the law.

  26. tcbc says:

What a weird shirt she’s wearing. Maybe it’s her mask, and she pushed it down too far?

  27. Tina says:

Nope, not a fan. She lost me when she had sources say “Ana is always number 1”. I think that said it all. Not consistently wearing a mask and being around the Affleck children is inherently selfish. I bet Jennifer is hearing about it from all sides. Her parents are older and she may wish to visit them with the kids this summer. I actually thought she was shading Ben and Ana when she posted about wearing masks.

  28. Amelie says:

Just rewatched Knives Out again and it was great to see her performance again, she made that movie so great. But it’s disappointing to see her being so extra with Ben Affleck. I really don’t get it, he’s not really a prize and she doesn’t get points for not wearing a mask.

    • ChillyWilly says:

I feel like she is going to tank her career with all of this thirsty nonsense.

  29. Jayna says:

I googled Ana’s name and the word “thirsty” with it. I died laughing. This was back in the beginning of April. D’Listed trolled them for their ongoing pap strolls, kissing while maintaining direct eye-contact with the paparazzi.

They quoted a flowery E! News story. Then D’Listed said this: “Passionately kissing? In THIS economy? You have to hand it to them. They are working harder through this pandemic than an emergency room nurse who moonlights as a Costco checker.”

    • Summer says:

It’s funny that they got trolled, but the commentors on Dlisted are very mean, hateful people. You should see what they have even said about this site. But the article writers are really funny.

  30. Jayna says:

I forgot to add that Ana has Ben completely wrapped around her little finger. He’s acting like Kris Kristofferson in A Star is Born, when he was totally flipped over Barbra Streisand.

  31. woosh says:

Looking at this pictures, I actually think the thrill is starting to be gone. She looks bored and over the family time. He does too, frankly, but he’s not going to choose her over his kids. Add the pandemic, filming being almost entirely shut down…. Even an endless f-fest could turn mundane. I’m getting bright burning flame, burning out from these pictures.

  32. Louise says:

Where they went with the kids is the Brentwood Country Mart here in LA. It is an open area but there is also a restaurant inside. Lots of people go there so one has to really wear a mask while you are walking. You can remove it once you are in the car because while walking you are walking with other people still. Ana is a Karen. Can’t sacrifice a few more minutes of her time to wear her mask. I bet you she was talking while they were walking so her saliva even her breathe traveled and reached others. Also, what is that outfit she is wearing? That is good for a high schooler. Ben can do better.

  33. Lively says:

Why are people calling her thristy ??

    • Alyse says:

Many many many pap strolls during lockdown… esp breaking lockdown rules (masks, breaking bubbles etc)

TBF He is equally thirsty (Equal opportunity shade!)

  34. Laurie says:

I thought Ben had manipulated her into this silly relationship but I have a feeling that she may not be so innocent. I’m starting to get the feeling that she’s a giant diva who wants all of the attention. So disappointing!

  35. Kkat says:

She’s moved into C list Kardashian territory for me now.
He thirsty mess is going to change her public perception so much that no one will want to see her germ ridden selfish self on any movies.
I know I’m starting to find her extremely distasteful.
