Sharon Osbourne’s family: she was ‘hung out to dry for something she hasn’t done’

Ahead of Sharon Osbourne getting fired from The Talk last week, Sharon’s friend Cyndi Lauper came out in support of her. Cyndi said she doesn’t believe Sharon is racist. White people declaring other white people aren’t racist is not a good look. It’s rumored that Sharon received a $5 – $10 million pay out to leave The Talk. And allegedly Sharon believes that Gayle King worked behind the scenes to get her fired to protect her (Gayle’s) relationship with Harry and Meghan.

Despite the fact that Sharon’s public demise is literally her fault, Sharon is refusing to go away quietly. Now Sharon is using her family to defend her vileness. According to her friends and family, Sharon is bitterly unhappy about being let go from The Talk , because she is a champion of “not holding back” and “freedom of speech” (eye roll). Sharon is still more upset that she was called racist than she is about being racist. Here’s what sources had to say to Us Weekly:

“Sharon is bitterly disappointed at how it all played out,” a source exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now. “Her whole career has been based on not holding back, speaking her mind and championing free speech — so to be classified or perceived as a bigot or a racist is a sickening scenario and an utter nightmare for her, especially since she insists up and down it’s all a pack of lies and that’s the last thing she is.”

During this time, the Extreme author, 68, has been “trying to see all the positives” and surround herself with her many allies, most of whom are telling her she’ll “bounce back 10 times stronger.”

The insider adds, “Her family is supporting her too and it tears them all apart seeing her suffer like this. They think it’s a big stitch-up and she’s been hung out to dry for something she hasn’t done or believed in.”

“She knows some people will now hate her forever no matter what, plus in many respects, she’ll have to start from scratch once the whole mess dies down,” the source continues. “She’s decided to take a breather for a while and see where the chips fall once the dust settles. In the meantime, she’s distraught and angry, trying to digest this tornado that’s come from nowhere and turned her life upside down.”

[From Us Weekly]

I find it ironic that Sharon is having the same experience as Meghan, a person she felt should be quiet and take the abuse. The difference is, Meghan hadn’t done anything wrong. Whereas Sharon went full out Karen on live television for the world to see and she is over here acting like someone did HER dirty. Nah, Sharon, you get to sit in that corner you built and eat your food.

Perhaps Sharon and her “allies” will finally understand why the daily attacks that Piers Morgan and the British press were deploying against Meghan were so horrifying and driving Meghan to consider suicide. Sharon owes Meghan, Sheryl and Elaine an apology for her behavior and her support of a racist misogynist. I tend to be a more compassionate person but I am just unable to muster much for this situation. I have been watching Meghan get vilified for five years because she had the audacity to fall in love with Harry. And in that time I have watched Sharon be the British press’s mouthpiece in America, constantly attacking Meghan and making racist comments about her. If the rumors are true that Sharon got a hefty pay out, she should be happy and move the f*ck on because most of us don’t get to land on our feet like that.

Sharon feeling distraught and angry is only a smidgeon of the emotions that Black women experience daily for most of our lives. White women like her dump all over us and demand that we don’t express our frustrations while expecting us to cater to them. All Sharon had to do was sit back and listen and learn. Instead, she deployed the most vile plays from the white fragility playbook. So Sharon can stew in her white tears and take her “allies” and family with her.

We have many records of Sharon being a racist ahole, so who are they trying to convince that she didn’t do those things? Accountability is a btch isn’t it?

    • Quietly Kitten says:

Race apologists are fun, aren’t they?

    • lucy2 says:

And that big incident played out on live tv! It’s not like it was behind the scenes and only got out in rumors. Everyone saw it.

She needs to just go away. I don’t hold any hope for her to think about it and become a better person, she’s just going to pretend she’s the victim and be angry, so she needs to go away to do that. No one wants to see or hear her whine.

    • minx says:

All of the Osbornes are useless, just wastes of space.

  2. Darla says:

It’s so true. I’m amazed at how these mean bullies, and that’s what they are, kind of emotionally terrorize and torture other people, Meghan definitely being a prime example, whom they then mock for reacting to their torture, cry like little babies when people say mean things about them. And they never see themselves! I just want this one to go away, I am so tired of seeing her face. It’s a very unpleasant experience at this point. I honestly cannot stand to see her face. Just go away.

    • Lexilla says:

And can she take her daughter’s face with her? That header photo. Yikes.

      • Anners says:

Ya – who’s the dead-eyed blonde? Super creepy. Looks absolutely soulless (in a story about a woman without compassion or self knowledge, so A+ photo choice)

      • Diana says:

Kind of like Khloe Kardashian and her face transplants. It’s nice to change up your look, but double-yikes.

Spend more time developing your mind, Kelly.

      • josephine says:

Wait, who is that? I was so confused by that picture. Is that the daughter that didn’t do the show? These people, honestly, they’re garbage. I don’t like to use that word to describe people, but it’s just so fitting here. They are utterly worthless.

    • BothSidesNow says:

@ Darla, very true!! This is Sharon’s moment of that POS Morgan storming off the set for being called out for being a racist bully that has viciously attacked Meghan solely for the purpose of being projecting their racists views and thinking that what they say and have done to perpetuate the attacks and racist abuse is perfectly acceptable. They refuse to learn that they are racist or accept being labeled as one.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

I don’t believe that they don’t know that they’re racist. Please, I’m not buying that. They’re just mad because that can’t continue to be racist in the way they have been. No one will be able to convince me otherwise. I think they should both get a job at Faux News. They’ll fit right in and I’m sure Rupert Murdoch would be happy to hire them.

  3. Miss Margo says:

I agree. White people stating that their friends “aren’t racist” really isn’t a good look. Sharon messed up and isn’t evolved enough to see that.

  4. Grumpier than thou says:

    Who’s that blonde woman?

  5. manda says:

Who is that blonde? Her other daughter, the one that was never on the show? She and Ozzie had a son too, you never hear from him anymore

  6. Seraphina says:

Yet again, the concept of what Sharon said is getting lost on her supporters. Sorry, but if I had friends calling Asian people slant eyes or wontons and calling black people ghetto I would distance myself from them. This is making me want to give Cindy the side eye.
Plus, if Sharon says that in public we can only dare imagine what she says behind closed doors when she knows she is safe.

    • Elizabeth says:

Exactly! And for her own colleagues. A beyond toxic person.

Our society is so horrible for supporting her for so long.

    • Mabs A'Mabbin says:

We can totally imagine their private selves, they had a tv show which hinted at the chaos. Their ‘chaos is a ladder’ lifestyle is being extinguished before our very eyes lol. Celebrities and politicians are dropping like flies. If there was a silver lining in our ongoing shit storm, I think this qualifies!

  7. Merricat says:

We’re supposed to care about Karen Osbourne’s suffering after she decided a woman she doesn’t know lied about her own pain and suicidal feelings? No.

  8. Kathgal says:

Remember in 2015 when Kelly Osbourne went on the view and said “if you kick every Latino out of the country, who is going to clean your toilet?” Yeah, I’ll bet her family thinks she has done nothing wrong.

  9. Jo73c says:

    No, Cyndi Lauper, no!

  10. Ellie says:

Is that Kelly? If so… whoa she is looking different. At first I thought it was a HEAVILY altered photo of that makeup guy Jeffree Starr.

  11. StephB says:

“Nah, Sharon, you get to sit in that corner you built and eat your food” and she has plenty of money to make her temporary exile quite comfortable. This might be why some folks don’t learn their lessons. She’s fired and her consequence is a 5-10 million dollar pay out.

  12. Oh_Hey says:

No. No ma’am. She did this live and on camera. There were records of her using WILD slurs that no dog whistle could hide. THERE’s TAPE OF HER SAYING MEGHANS TOO LIGHT TO BE BLACK!

    Just. Go. Away.

  13. Mina_Esq says:

Sharon is vile. She wasn’t fired for something anyone else did. We literally watched her commit the final act that lead to her firing. Free speech has limits, bi*ch. It’s not an absolute right. I just wish these companies would choose not to pay them out and take the position that she breached the terms of her contract. Like, use that $5 million to pay your team of lawyers to defend her firing and set an example.

    • Seraphina says:

Mina, I repeat what is said among my friends: we all have freedom of speech BUT it comes with accountability and with consequences. Nothing is free – strings are always attached.

  14. Heat says:

Someone needs to remind her that freedom of speech does not mean freedom of consequences.
If the things you say or do bring harm to another human being, you’ve lost the right to complain about the repercussions.

  15. Soupie says:

I am still aghast at the way Sharon spoke to Sheryl on live TV. It boggles the mind how this vile woman can think she has any defense at all against that kind of attitude and behavior.

And what is up with that photo where she’s trying to give the peace sign and her face is all demented. She has been looking deranged and feeble off and on for years now, but especially lately. Unfortunately she’s going to land somewhere and I still won’t be watching.

    • Sid says:

Soupie, even without all Sharon’s other BS, the way she spoke to Sheryl was grounds for dismissal as I see it. What a vile person.

      • Poisonella says:

I thought the same thing from the beginning. She spoke to Sheryl in such a nasty condescending way it made me sick. So ironic it was o one of these female empowerment BS shows where there is always the resident shit stirrer. I remember how nasty Kelly was too- Mommy’s little girl.

  16. Mrs. Peel says:

    Tears of a clown face.

  17. paranormalgirl says:

I just can’t with her. Deflection and projection are her weapons of choice apparently.

  18. Jodi says:

this is what those freedom of speech people keep forgetting…if you work for a company, freedom of speech doesn’t give you the right to say whatever you want while working for that company. i have a job that if i were to say anything racist while on the job, they would have every right to fire me for it. why do these people think they are exempt from this consequence!? company policies are company policies. this isn’t cancel culture. I’m so tired of these spoiled, privileged white people

  19. Bookie says:

    Kelly looks like a Kardashian.

    That is not a compliment.

  20. Ang says:

Who is the woman in the photo? Too young to be Cyndi Lauper.

  21. StormsMama says:

When Karen/ I mean Sharon said “don’t you cry! I’m the one who should be crying”
I was so horrified and embarrassed for her.
The fact that she didn’t watch that back and have an aha moment
And realize oh shoot I need to get humble real quick
But instead dug in her heels and cried fat crocodile racist tears 😭
Says EVERYTHING you need to know about her.
    This bitch.
If she really cared about being “not racist” ((DO MORE KAREN!!!)) she could donate her severance package to the NAACP or to grassrootslaw. She could use her platform and fame to shed light on her own ignorance and why it’s so harmful and yes even deadly for black and brown people.

She hasn’t learned a damn thing. So in sum: she’s entitled, outraged, obnoxious, with zero humility, and 100% Racist and proud.

    • Julia K says:

I agree she hasn’t learned a damn thing. Back around 2003 I was recovering from a pulled back muscle and was spending way too many sleepless hours watching stupid tv shows like the Osbournes. Sharon horrified me with her outrageous comments even then, yet has been consistently rewarded for being mean and vile.

  22. HoofRat says:

Can everyone named Osborne just shaddup? (And WTF, Cyndi? Girls Just Wanna Be Dumb?)

  23. Nina Simone says:

    THAT is Kelly? My goodness

  24. Meowbea says:

Holy crap 😳 i thought that was Lana Del Rey.

  25. Valerie says:

Please. We saw the way Sharon acted on The Osbournes. It isn’t a huge stretch to imagine that she’s also a racist, and we don’t have to imagine: We have proof.

  26. Nina Simone says:

I swear I thought that was Jeffree Star omg

  27. Liz version 700 says:

We have seen her be Karen on speed for years…who is she fooling?!?!

  28. Dollycoa says:

Shes vile. She was on a panel show here in the UK and told a story about how her and Ozzy set their house on fire and got one of their staff to run back in to rescue a painting, and when he had to have oxygen for smoke inhalation sacked him for not seeing the funny side! She is a disgusting pos and deserves all that is coming to her.

  29. Courtney B says:

Yeah that’s Kelly. I just googled. Lol She’s been posting a few photos like this.

  30. JustMe says:

Legit thought the picture was Jeffree Star and was confused about connection to Osbourne

  31. JaneDoe says:

Who IS that, in the header pic????? Thats not Kelly, is it???? If it is then she looks like she had about 3 inches of jaw shaved off each side of her face á la Rumor Willis.

  32. Emily_C says:

I read the racist, homophobic, misogynistic insults she lobbed at coworkers. This wasn’t blind item stuff — people went on record saying they heard her say these things. And she sent poop to people. She should have been fired long before now. The only reason she had a job in the first place is because of who she was married to.

    • Jules says:

Yes for sure, she has money and connections but she is still trash. We need to stop allowing toxic people to have a voice. And the tired old idea of “they are laughing all the way to the bank” needs to be retired. It excuses crappy and corrupt behavior, as if money is everything. It’s not.

  33. Nana says:

Oya, that was the most perfectly written response to each of Sharon’s transgressions and why they are so harmful and hypocritical.
Which is it – is she a free speech advocate, in which case she should be fine with the responses to her bile, or not?

  34. Wampaone says:

that woman is a horrible person. What she did to Daisley and Kerslake is just an example. There’s a pattern here.
