The Cambridges arrived at their Keen Sheep event via royal helicopter, of course

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge royal vist to Cheesy Waffles Project,

Here are some additional photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge yesterday, for their big outing at a sheep farm. They got to meet some sheep, do some golfing and, as always, breathe on people without any masks around. Maybe it’s because it’s Keen Anniversary Week, but Kate’s “laughing” poses come across as especially over-the-top. We all know she loves to pose with wide smiles and she’ll hold a guffaw for an uncomfortable length of time, but wow, her reactions seem especially outsized given the situation. The keenness was felt so acutely because Will and Kate were visiting the Cheesy Waffles Project, a community center in Durham for kids with special needs.

While no British outlet has underlined this point or turned it into a headline, the reason Will and Kate were able to day-trip to a sheep farm and still make it home to London that afternoon was because they took their own helicopter. The Queen gave them the helicopter for their own (mostly private) traveling, because if you expect Will & Kate to take the train to do events, you’re going to be waiting a very long time. Remember their Flybe stunt? It’s weird that no one mentions how often they travel by private helicopter for no real reason.

Speaking of the Keen Helicopter, did you also know that William, Kate and their kids found time to return to Norfolk this past weekend? Last week, the kids started back at school, and then on Friday, they went back to Norfolk, and my guess is that it was via the helicopter. We know they were in Norfolk because they were seen at the new Sandringham play park, which is open to the public. Curious how often William finds excuses to be in Norfolk.

Last thing: the Cambridges have a job opening. They’re looking for a new Communications Officer. More staff turnover!

I’m not too bright with Royal gossip: what’s in Norfolk?

    • Elvie says:

Rose Hanbury’s husband’s estate is close to the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

As for weekend trips… It’s about a 3 hour journey to Sandringham. Not crazy for a weekend stay. The kids are likely quite active and it’s easier to accommodate in the country rather than London.

      • Silver Charm says:

        That’s STILL going on?!?

      • Elvie says:

I’m not sure, but it’s the best lead anyone’s ever had. If not Rose, I’m sure there’s someone else.

      • Wiglet Watcher says:

The longer this goes on the more I’m leaning towards Rose/Norfolk being a location used for privacy while William has affairs since AH and a there, rather than he’s having an affair with Rose. And f that was still going on it would have blown up by now. It’s definitely a cover.

    • Lauren says:

      Rose bushes. Baldingham mistress, Rose.

    • Haylie says:

Rose “Bush” Hanbury, Marchioness of Cholmdeley

    • Jan says:

Rose bushes, that Princess Willian like to prune.

    • AMJ says:

William’s ‘friend’ Rose Hanbury, Marchioness of Cholmondeley. At some point, press reported that Kate used to be her friend, but then froze her out for no good reason. Then there were reports Will had some friendly dinners with Rose.

      • Wiglet Watcher says:

The original tatler article also said Kate knew about the dinners and was happy for her friend to keep her husband entertained.

    • Becks1 says:

Their country house, Anmer Hall, and houghton hall, home to the Cholmondeleys, aka Will’s rumored mistress.

    • Courtney B says:

      Rose Hanbury, his rumored fling.

  2. Florence says:

She’s coming across as totally insane. The laughing, physically throwing herself back??

    Embarrassment.

    • The Duchess says:

The more she hyena laughs, the more she wants Baldy/Press to notice her. It’s getting worse too. The way she throws her entire frame back with her head titled towards the sky… I can’t even. Who is she looking at? What is the point of it? She’s embarrassing.

      • equality says:

It’s funny how the blonde girl in the top picture is looking at her like she’s nuts.

      • Lady D says:

The girl appears bemused as does the young lad she is sitting at a table with. As a matter of fact, most of her audience is wearing a bemused look. William’s face in that elbow bumping picture is something else. He looks like he just heard something disgusting, humiliating or outrageous.

    • Nic919 says:

She overdoes the laughing the more awkward she feels. And having to be near William this long is a large reason why she’s overdoing the hyena laughs.

      • Chartreuse says:

        Yes, it’s really awkward looking

      • Silent Star says:

The exaggerated laughing pictures look about as natural as those stock photos of laughing women eating salad.

Also, yes it does seem rather excessive to use the KeenCopter for this kind of visit. However, I’m sure the sheep were duly impressed.

    • Midnight@theOasis says:

      It’s so performative it’s ridiculous.

      • bros says:

Absolutely. The Keens are so Tryhard it’s just uncomfortable. They are trying to turn up their public charisma to a 10 and it looks artificial, maniacal, forced, unnatural, fill in the synonym.

    • Size Does Matter says:

Remember how “extra” Jennifer Garner was during the Ben Affleck rollout? We all know how that turned out.

    • josephine says:

I was thinking the same. I thought she was being touted as the dignified one. She looks unhinged.

    • Lorelei says:

Hasn’t she looked at her own pictures over the years, and seen for herself how ridiculous she looks?? Or is it possible that she thinks it’s “cute” or something?
If I saw myself looking maniacal like that in photos, I would be mortified and take it down a few hundred notches at engagements going forward.

      • bluhare says:

I’ve seen the video where she holds a pose for the cameras too. Wonder if she held that golf one so they could get the perfect shot. That poor kid on the receiving end of that grin probably doesn’t know what hit him either.

      • Lizzie says:

Her mother tells her she is the most beautiful girl ever.

      • ennie says:

Took her years to fix her hems to stop her “Marilyn moments”

    • TabithaD says:

Has she always been this over the top? She looks deranged. And out of tune with the people around who look more bemused than anything. Certainly not rolling around laughing anyway.
She always used to turn up looking uninterested and dead-eyed. I reckon someone in her team had the bright idea that she needed to be more “animated”, to show how natural she is around people and what fun she’s having, and this is the result.

      • Nic919 says:

She’s been doing it for many years and well before Meghan arrived. When people here used to comment on it, the defenders would claim it was simply a bad photo. But years in and she’s making faces the rest of the people with her don’t make, it becomes more and more obvious that the smiles are fake and exaggerated.

      • The Recluse says:

And they carry on about how much dignity she brings to the Royal Family….Ha!
        She is seriously over acting.

    • Curious says:

omg she looks insane .the female in the blue sweater is like whats going on? these people looks shocked, they don’t know if they should laugh or just smile, its royal people in front of them . they looked puzzled. i understand belly laughter, sometimes one can’t stop. the thing with belly laughter its contiguous .that everyone starts laughing too, and they don’t know what the joke is about. i remember this child started to laugh while playing with his little car .and he busted out laughing ,he was 2 yrs old. and everyone started to laugh cause he was laughing, running, sitting, then he was quiet , then he will start laughing his sweet laughter again.lol

    • Curious says:

lmao at william face in the middle of the elbow bumping. his face is like who farted.

  3. Merricat says:

    Earthshot is for peasants, hmm?

    • Jay says:

I think the unspoken goal of Earthshot is that other people need to make big changes so William doesn’t have to!

I can understand the convenience of the private helicopter, but then the question becomes: If they have access to this means of travel, then why don’t they do more?

  4. Cecilia says:

Kate laughing it up, throwing her hair back and william doesn’t seem half as excited.

Lol kate’s just posting for the camera’s at this point

    • Jan says:

Even the people in the picture don’t know what she is cackling about, odd.

    • Ginger says:

She is. Even the people around her don’t seem to be amused. She is fake. She looks ridiculous.

    • Nic919 says:

It’s the lack of reaction of the crowd that really shows how much Kate is overacting here. You can see they are wondering why she is acting like that.

  5. Jay says:

“Cambridges have a job opening. They’re looking for a new Communications Officer.”

Huh. @Becks1, are you gonna apply? 😊

    • Becks1 says:

I wonder if they would let me do it remotely from the US lol.

Seriously, the first day of work I would be like, “so let’s have a meeting to discuss…..” and the Cambs would be all “oh no no no no. We don’t have meetings here. We’ll see you in a month. Just keep telling the RRs that Kate is perfect.”

      • The Hench says:

Sounds like you could definitely do it from the US ;)

To save you time you could write press releases via a programme that just recycles certain phrases in a different order. There used to be a website that did this with Daily Mail headlines so you ended up with results like ‘HOUSE PRICES CAUSE CANCER’ and ‘IMMIGRANTS INVADING WITH HELP FROM THE EU’. For this new job I’m sure the Celebitches could provide an extensive list – for example just for starters:

Has never put a foot wrong
        Kate is William’s/Charles’/The Queen’s/The Monarchy’s rock
Wonderfully stable, sensible middle class family
Are the future of the monarchy
Carole is the mother William never had
        Top CEO
xxxxx (insert as required) is Meghan’s fault

      • Jay says:

We could submit your postings from CB as part of your portfolio of work!

Although, this site would be less fun for me if they had a competent comms office, so…

    • Alexandria says:

Becks actual work will be writing fictional embiggening pieces and get paid for it. Cushy job. She can quit after a year and write a tell all (consulting with Legal of course). I will buy it! Then she can get on US TV since she can add royal reporter to her CV heh.

    • UnionSnack says:

I won’t wonder if it was made for the Simon Case returning, he is now at the risk of firing and William won’t leave his old friend.

      • Jais says:

Why is he at risk for firing? I just saw a really fawning article by Tominey about him in the spectator but didn’t realize his govt job was in jeopardy.

      • UnionSnack says:

        @Jais
Because of sleazekeeper and Case was at the center of attention. And he’s got a lot of negative feedback. You can see at twitter, it was discussed yesterday.

      • Jais says:

Ok tried to follow it and it seems to be about the refurbishment of Johnson’s apartment and money bring a gift now called loan from the Tory party. And Simon Case knew about it? Am a little confused. Or is he exposing it now to make it look like not a big deal?
Sorry if this is OT but seeing that random article by Tominey, who is one of my least faves ever, embiggening him and his relation to the royals has got me curious.

    • Alexandria says:

@The Hench there is actually a TikTok on how the rats concoct ridiculous headlines about Meghan hahah

      https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSJSxgPGh/

    • Lorelei says:

I was JUST coming here to ask Becks if it was going to be her or me who applies for that job! *Someone* from CB has to; we need a mole, lol.

    • Doulton says:

I hope that the communications officer is capable of doing interventions. One is badly needed here. Kate is too old to be messing with those drugs to that extent.

  6. Lauren says:

They are never going to be called out on it by the RR. That invisible contract is becoming more and more visible.

  7. Phoenix says:

She looks like she is having a meltdown. Yikes

  8. swirlmamad says:

She is truly ridiculous. It’s almost insulting how fake she comes across in these photos, especially the lead one!

  9. Becks1 says:

These pictures are so awkward. Yikes. Especially in the top one – no one else is laughing like that. Some smiles, yes, but she is so over the top, going for the photo op, it just looks so fake at this point.

Also when did they get their own helicopter? I think I missed that. I had assumed they were just using the royal helicopter all this time (the one that the royals all use for work.)

    • Elvie says:

I know right? If you combine these photos with the articles yesterday about how much the Middletons have helped William in the last 10 years… Camp Middleton is panicked and Kate over the top behaviour is so obviously trying to mask other issues.

    • swirlmamad says:

I definitely think we’ve heard about the personal helicopter, no? The one they built hedges around their property for so they can come and go with no one seeing? They both suck hardcore for this and the RRs suck too for completely glossing over it and going for H&M for lesser crimes. I would say OWNING a helicopter that you use liberally is much worse than borrowing a friend’s private jet from time to time, any day. 🙄

      • Becks1 says:

The privacy hedge at KP – I knew about that but I thought that was just for the royal helicopter in general, I didn’t realize that Will and Kate had their own (unless they just took the royal helicopter and made it their own?) Because there was a helicopter that other royals like Anne etc would use for day trips (sometimes working, sometimes not.)

    • Nic919 says:

They have had the use of the helicopter from day one. However up until a few years ago they had to declare how many trips they made with the helicopter. At some point the rules got changed when they started pretending they were working full time so they didn’t need to declare any of their use of the helicopter because “it was for work”. So I think it was around 2017 that they could use the helicopter as a free for all, and it’s around then the privacy hedges were put up as well.

      • Becks1 says:

Yes that is in line with what I was remembering. At some point the royals (in general) no longer had to declare which helicopter trips were for work or not, but people were apparently tracking it by their clothes (like if Kate was dressed up or in casual clothes) so then they built the privacy hedge so no one knows now how often they use it and whether its for work or not.

    • Kalana says:

They’ve had their own helicopter ever since they moved to Norfolk. I think they recently received a new one with the excuse that William will use it to keep up his flying hours.

  10. OriginalLala says:

i love how Baldemort tried to make the environment his pet cause (earthshot etc.) but literally has a private helicopter.. jfc…these morons are too much.

    • Betsy says:

It’s deeply offensive. Meanwhile the rest of us worry about our car use and rates of consumption and this bozo is just buzzing around England burning up 30 gallons of fuel an hour. Way to go, Will.

  11. Jan says:

Social distancing on a bale of hay.

    • The Hench says:

Yes, I noticed that. Clearly they are following the 2m rule for people who live in different households….

  12. Nev says:

Why do a elbow bump if there is no mask?
    WILD.

    • swirlmamad says:

While she hyena-huffs and pants all over that poor man. Unreal.

      • Larry says:

So irresponsible to go around without masks at a special needs centre, given that individuals with learning or physical disabilities are at a significantly increased risk of fatal illness with covid. Would hope that one if not both of them is vaccinated, but terrible optics nonetheless.

    • BeanieBean says:

Elbow bumps never made any sense to me. You’re each halving the distance between each other, & putting your faces into proximity. I’d rather stick with a handshake & wash my hands afterward.

  13. Cecilia says:

Is it just me or are these 2 matching?? They are wearing the same things

    • Becks1 says:

It always irrationally bothers me that Kate changes between events like this. Like she switched her jacket AND her boots from the event earlier in the day. What is the point? the boots I could maybe give her, if they were muddy and dirty from the farm visit, but why the jacket? it says to me – “field jackets are for farms, puffy jackets are for meeting people!” And William didn’t change his outfit, so his shoes didnt seem to get that dirty.

      • My3cents says:

So it would seem like she did a lot of events over time when the pics are realsed, not like they crammed some random events all in a day and rested the whole month after.

      • swirlmamad says:

Isn’t it Tori Spelling who has masses and masses of clothing and household items in storage because she has a shopping addiction and just buys things willy-nilly? I imagine Kate being the exact same way with her clothes…..like she has multiple walk-in closets full of clothing that she’s either worn once or impulse bought in an online shopping rampage, not realizing she has a similar item in 3 other colors. She changes her outfits multiple times a day to a) make it look like she’s doing all this separate work and b) at least she can say she’s worn said clothing at least once (and then get credit for a rewear when she wears it again a year or two down the line).

      • Becks1 says:

@My3Cents- you’re exactly right, I always forget that tactic, lol. So if you were following KP yesterday you know the events were on the same day, but someone looking at the account randomly or seeing the pictures would think they did more than they actually did.

      • Lorelei says:

@Becks I thought I was going crazy when I saw the boots in these photos; I would have sworn she wore the Penelope Chilvers ones to this engagement.

I definitely think she does it so there are photos that look like they were taken at completely different events, giving the impression she works more than she actually does.
She probably counts the changing of the boots as a separate engagement for the CC.

  14. Sofia says:

Whenever photos of Kate hysterically laughing came out, before I always went (for the most part) “Oh the photographers probably caught her at an unfortunate angle/time and therefore her laugh has been exaggerated” but nope, she’s pretty much always like that.

As for the kids moving in between 2 places, maybe I would too if I had their money and resources. I just think it’s a waste of time and energy but maybe I’m not posh enough to get it.

  15. Chartreuse says:

If I saw this I’d be worried about her and maybe calling the paramedics! She’s looking insane (or extra keen). That crazy laughter! All my 60 something friends still love her no matter what (oh and really hate meghan). I’ve given up with them.

  16. Jennie says:

All I have to say is – how many brown/green casual jackets does she have at this point? Why does she need yet another??

  17. Harper says:

She must be miserable to be overacting this much.

  18. Chrissy (The Original) says:

She looks unhinged. I wonder if she realizes that her behavior is just adding to the litany of PWT’s complaints which will contribute to their split. I feel sorry for the people forced to be around her at this event.

    • Lorelei says:

I actually looked for William in that top photo because I wanted to see his reaction to…whatever it was she was doing there. I was disappointed that he wasn’t in it, but we all know that he was most likely looking mortified at her very existence, as usual.

  19. The Duchess says:

Let’s just say if Meghan was pictured laughing like this at an engagement not long after the consort had passed… there would be war.

Kate, you are pathetic and need to sort your life out. You’re spiralling bad!

  20. UnionSnack says:

William is laughing at her unfriendly while she wasn’t succeed for the first time… Like he is glad that she had failure.

  21. Zebz says:

Omg she looks absolutely crazy in the first pic. The people in the back are legit like wtf???

  22. CC2 says:

She’s lowkey pretty smart for this if there’s trouble in the marriage. The average person is going to look on these pictures and see a really cheerful Kate with a sulky William and it’s so easy to slip in a narrative of how Kate was always trying to make things better and put on a brave face, while Will constantly disrespects her. Only thing in the way is that Will has the media, and Middleton only has it because their plans against Sussexes are aligned at the moment.

The only reason why we don’t buy it is because we like Meghan and have been following this really closely. The average person will definitely take over Kate’s side because she still seems warmer than Will.

    • Sofia says:

If William/the media wanted to, they can always take her smiling photos and say “She’s doing it for attention! She’s faking it!” which is what they say with Meghan. If they can say it for her, they can say it for Kate.

Maybe she is, maybe she isn’t but if the campaign is aggressive enough, public perception can change over time (and it may take some time/effort) unless you’ve got strong Diana levels of public support (which Kate doesn’t even if she’s generally well liked enough in the U.K.) or a “squad” like the Sussexes do that push back and collect receipts.

      • The Duchess says:

She has neither of those qualities that both Diana and Meghan have. She has no overwhelming public support (because she’s dull and lazy) and the only fanbase she does have support her out of spiting Meghan. This is a horrid combination. The monarchy will spin the public mood towards her in a flash if/when William divorces her and cuts her loose. Kate’s made it so easy for them to do this because she’s not that smart. All she knows is plotting and playing the victim and only that can go so far before you become unstuck.

Kate seriously didn’t think past the marriage stage. All she saw was tiaras, titles and luxury and she was set to go. She thought she would instantly get the Diana treatment from the public, beloved because she was to be wed to Diana’s eldest, despite being his doormat for the latter decade… not very smart when you think about it.

I think now she’s realising that she is just as expendable to William as Harry & Meghan was and she’s having some sort of breakdown over it. Her overprotected life is all crashing down around her because she’s been exposed as the racist mean girl she truly is. There’s no doubt in my mind that William could be *toying* with the idea of separation/eventual divorce and that must seriously bug her and her stage mother. Just one look at the recent PR propaganda about her shows all sorts of red flags, mixed in with the public hyena laughing… Kate is in for a serious wake up call.

      • Becks1 says:

@TheDuchess – I think Harry leaving was a wakeup call to Kate. If DIANA was expendable to the monarchy, if the son of the future king is expendable to the monarchy – then she is nothing more than the mother of the future king, and in a much weaker position than Diana ever was – and I think she has only just realized that.

      • The Duchess says:

@Becks1 – Yes, Harry leaving was definitely the wake up call that started it all off for her. It’s been a downward spiral since.

      • Sofia says:

@The Duchess – I agree. She doesn’t have the overwhelming public support that Diana had (which was why the palace’s PR campaign against her never really stuck with most people) and honestly still does. Most of her fans are, like you said, supporting her because they hate Meghan. Plus a lot of them are just plain monarchists who will, you guessed it, support the monarchy over Kate herself. It ties in what I was saying that she doesn’t have a “squad” like Meghan who consistently push back against the media regularly and are ready to literally go to war for Meghan in terms of pushing back against the media and collecting receipts. It could be that since most of the media is supportive of Kate hence there’s nothing to fight against but looking at them on social media, they don’t seem like a passionate bunch who would.

And she’ll always be dispensable to the monarchy no matter what unfortunately. Diana, who was an aristo in her own right and the mother of the future King, was cast aside so it’s not like Kate will be any different.

      • Emily_C says:

A lot of Kate supporters/anti-Meghan people are incredibly sexist too. They aren’t going to side with Kate against Will. But I don’t think Will wants to divorce her — that would be work, and he’s not going to fall in love with someone he wants to marry instead. I don’t think he’s capable of falling in love.

  23. Gk says:

I don’t get it, if this was my country I’d be angry some people get all this without being doing anting to earn it, just for being born, when I couldn’t ( I can run for elected office here to get Air Force 1!). Of course she’s laughing I would be too.

    • Becks1 says:

I think the royal press machine over the past few decades has really pushed the whole “royals bring in tourist dollars” angle so people think they’re getting a bargain at this point. And I think that’s probably true for things like big royal weddings or maybe the Trooping once a year, but in general I don’t really think its true. People don’t visit Buckingham Palace hoping to get a glimpse of the Queen. People still visit the Tower of London and no royals live there, lol. It’s the history that draws people IMO more than the actual royals.

      • SarahCS says:

Not all of us. Believe me.

As for the tourists, if the BRF were kicked out of their fancy houses and they could be fully opened to the public, used for events, etc. then you would see the £££ big time. The BM will never go with this because they needs the clicks/sales from the royal stories but that’s my take on it.

As an aside, the Tower of London is a great visit if you ever get a chance to go and have an interest in British History. There’s a conveyor belt thing to take you past the crown jewels but if it’s quiet when you go you can just walk backwards along it to stay and look at them as long as you want.

      • Becks1 says:

@SarahCS – the Tower is one of my must-dos when I ever make it to London! (hopefully in summer 2022?)

And that’s something I don’t get with the whole “the royals bring in money” – if Buckingham Palace was open full time, year round, wouldn’t that bring in more money? It could still be used for things like diplomatic receptions and the like but during the day, open for tours more than just a few months out of the year. There are lots of old castles in other countries that seem to be doing just fine. No one is visiting the Alhambra in Spain because of the Spanish royal family, you know?

  24. Amy Bee says:

Absolutely no complaints from the press about the Cambridges using a helicopter to get to these engagements. The invisible contract is real.

  25. Andrew’s Nemesis says:

I love the expression of the blonde woman in front. SERIOUSLY unimpressed. The others look as if they’re watching a mildly-diverting television programme.

  26. Eating Popcorn says:

The body language between these two – they look like they are socially distancing from one another. I don’t get it…they look miserable to be with one another. William looks as if he is Diana in India.

  27. Robin says:

That picture of Kate with the golf club has cheered me no end. I love photos of her laughing her head off when everyone around has no idea what is going on. There is such a precious look of concern and shock on the young girl’s face to the left. If you told me Kate in some way medicated herself to get through events, I’d believe you.

  28. ClaireB says:

    Wiglet watch!

  29. caitlin says:

Their idea of “work” more closely resembles a school field trip where the kids travel somewhere to learn something new & or be entertained.

  30. RedWeatherTiger says:

    From left to right:

Blonde woman: Oh dear. She’s really lost it. Did I miss the funny part?

Shorter blonde woman: should we call someone?

Tall man: William’s got his hands full with this one.

Brunette woman: bless her. She’s in a state.

Guy with hat: this is awkward. Just smile at her until it stops.

    • KW says:

everyone on the internet: Kate is coked up!

      • RedWeatherTiger says:

She sure is giving off that vibe.

One wonders if Sullen Baldingham might not start using Kate’s cokey vibes as a reason to give her the boot. I hate the thought of doing **his** bidding in commenting on her overBLOWn behavior…

  31. Tess says:

My goodness William in the pictures I saw looked so CHECKED OUT at that event. Kate is doing the most with her maniacal throwing-her-head-back laughing, and he can barely muster a couple of grimaces. Why did he even go?

    • swirlmamad says:

To keep her in line, especially if she is as increasingly unstable as is being guessed at here.

    • Robin says:

Sometimes I wonder about this affair business, simply because he seems so unattractive and with no personality. Who’d find him alluring?

  32. Ann says:

I went back to look at William and Kate pictures and in most pictures, she’s over the top with her laughing and facial expressions and William never looks at her. She touches his arm or back, smiling like crazy, and he ignores her. There were maybe a few pictures where he looks at her but not too many. I guess Kate is afraid to match her expressions to William’s because maybe she’s trying to project that they’re happy together? I don’t know…it’s not working. Harry and Meghan are happy and calm and in-sync. These farm pictures seem forced happy to me.

  33. D says:

I thought I saw a girl with a hand stim in the background yesterday, so this being a place for children with special needs makes sense. I hope she wasn’t this extra energetic and in the children’s faces around the autistic children. Did they not get a briefing on behaviors around different special needs?

    • Florence says:

If they were told I can’t imagine Waity caring. She has never behaved correctly, can’t read the mood of a situation (9/11 memorial, Sarah everard, Time’s Up etc) and will never ever let anything override what she wants to do. If she wants to squeal and laugh like an idiot as part of her press game, then she’ll do it regardless if f how it might affect others.

  34. Lory says:

Also, not sure about current mask-wearing policies in the UK, but shouldn’t Will and Kate be wearing masks? They are visiting children with special needs, who some presumably have compromised immune systems. I know they are outside, but some photos show them to be quite close together. They fly around from Norfolk to Windsor and Sandringham easy peasy and bring who knows what with them.

  35. Victoria says:

Those poor young people already have compromised systems and she and Covid laced husband are just all up in their faces.

That shit is disturbing and evil.

  36. SunRae says:

The play on the word “keen” on this blog and with the Sussex Squad on Twitter will be the death of me looooooooooooooooooool.

  37. IRMAVEP says:

Just took another look at the main picture. Kate looks insane! Kate puts the ‘highness’ into Her Royal Highness. She’s off her face!

  38. Julia K says:

Well isn’t this interesting! Never crossed my mind that drugs could be involved. Now that the seed has been planted, it surely explains a lot of over the top behavior; exaggerated laughing etc. Extreme thinness. Disgust from Wm. Circles under eyes, early aging, crying episodes. Hmmmm.

    • Cessily says:

🤔uncle Gary has been around.. that’s enough proof to be printed in British tabloids.

    • Ann says:

I never thought of that either. I figured she smokes a lot of cigarettes, which keep her thin but age her face, and maybe drinks too much sometimes….but other drugs never occurred to me. I guess it would not be surprising.

    • FicklePickle says:

It would also explain why she tends to go dark during her pregnancies. Can’t risk a royal crack baby, can’t deal with events without the chemical crutch.

  39. Amelie says:

I’m not a Kate fan and I don’t understand why she feels the need to “over-laugh” if that’s what she’s doing a la Jimmy Fallon (that would be a fun interview to see which one of them laughs the fakest). But I’ve always been uncomfortable judging her extra laughing just from photos, I don’t often watch videos of her events and I hate analyzing body language. The one thing I will say is I am never impressed with the questions she asks when she is at events. Whenever I read coverage of what she asked people, I’m always struck at how stupid they are. She never asks people about themselves much, it’s more general and I always feel like she doesn’t know how to have an engaging meaningful one on one conversation.

    • Becks1 says:

You have to see some of the videos to see how odd her over-laughing is. I used to feel bad for judging it, assuming it was just a bad picture, but in videos its clear no one else is laughing, or she’s holding the pose. There’s one in particular at some sort of event where she has this huge surprised look on her face, and in the live video of the event she’s staring at the camera with that expression for a relatively long time, she clearly wanted that shot.

      • Nic919 says:

It was when the tour de France was in London. You can see Kate turn in a totally different direction with a fake surprised look on her face whereas Harry and William and the rest of the crowd are turned away looking in the opposite direction. Completely fake pose.

    • Sunday says:

I’m not excluding the possibility of drug abuse, but for me whenever I see these photos of her I’m reminded of the story someone shared of being with her at one of these events and her just holding a pose for an insanely exaggerated period of time because for her it was all about what the photos would convey and not the impression she would leave with the actual real people around her. To me, that reads correct to her character: it’s all about the photo-op, there’s no real ‘there’ there. She wants to look stupendously happy because to her (and/or her completely inept comms team), that means that the public will think she’s stupendously happy, and won’t see through the completely transparent staging of every single photo ever taken of her. Her abhorrent behavior towards Meghan eroded any empathy I might have felt for her, but to me she seems like an incredibly insecure person who has had the importance of public perception repeatedly hammered into her, which has resulted in her over-correcting optics to the point of the ridiculous. If only, at any point, she could focus on substance instead, but it seems that’s beyond her capacity.

  40. Cessily says:

So do the Cambridge’s use the helicopter like a normal family uses a minivan or suv?

    • Wiglet Watcher says:

They were gifted their own privately owned heli, leased or owned by the queen because the use of the publicly funded heli had to be documented. It was found wasteful and excessive so moves were made to hide the spending.
Now it has been seen taking off numerous times before William or Kate go dark and are later seen at vacation spots.

  41. Liz version 700 says:

Is she doing this on purpose? She looks so ridiculous, some of the poses border on scenes from the Exorcist. I can’t help but wonder if she is trolling William on purpose. You want to come on my inane visits well fine…watch me golf while in the upward dog position!

  42. Lila says:

Her hyena laughter looks so unhinged when you have people with normal expressions in the background.

  43. She definitely was on a laughing trip here. She looks deranged and all the people around her are perplexed as to “what in the hell was she cackling about really now?” Too exaggerated.

I think the poster in upper thread is correct. She’s trying to mask some personal issues which explains her overblown behavior. Maybe because the top CEO can never be Queen consort. She’s laughing in the outside, crying in the inside to the song “where did the love go?”

  44. Keri says:

Her weird, gaping, unhinged maw in that first pic. She’s starting to resemble a praying mantis. I can see her doing a 180 degree head spin Exorcist style in order to bite off and chomp on Baldemort’s penis shaped head. And now I just gave myself nightmares. Thanks Celebitchy!

This scary rictus grin is prevalent in every photo of every engagement Katie Keen attends. It’s no wonder Will grimaces in pics next to her. I’d be embarrassed by association too. What happened to their gold standard advisors?

  45. Robin says:

I fully believe Kate is an anxious person and that she finds it difficult to be around new people. The problem is, she is the famous person other people have come to meet; the onus is on her to put nervous people at ease. But, in reality, the dynamic is reversed. So, the people Kate meets tap into her awkwardness and find themselves responsible for making her feel comfortable and slightly more in control. Kate tries to express confidence with all the gurning and laughing, but these excessive social tics are probably some kind of nervous-tension releasers. Why wasn’t she self aware enough to know this job wasn’t for her? On a shallower note: the picture of her guffawing with the golf club, head back – is that a wiglet separating away from her real hair? I am a novice at this wiglet stuff. Thanks in advance.

  46. Lizzie says:

This is exactly the low level of effort that is in the cambridges wheelhouse. And these two dim bulbs are campaigning to be next in line. LOL. Do we think the queen roll her eyes at them in private?

  47. Baltimom says:

This almost seems like a “See what we royals get to do? Look at our private helicopter!” I think this sort of crap will make more younger folks go toward getting rid of the monarchy. I mean, what purpose do they serve? What do they do other than take up space? And I totally agree with the comments about being too try hard. It’s ridiculous. You guys are the boring ones. That’s all you’ll ever be. William is Charles part II right down to the extramarital affair. No one even cares about that even because it’s so predictable.

  48. Melanie P says:

    Kate looks like a laughing 🐎 horse…eeesh!

  49. Mrs. Smith says:

I’m loathe to defend Kate, but there is a video of her in the DM with the golf club—she swings and completely misses the ball—which causes her over-the-top reaction. It was funny and her reaction made sense (even if it was dramatic). Even William laughed. So no, I don’t think she is crazy or on drugs at the farm. Perhaps generally crazy and tranquilized, yes, but not here.

  50. blunt talker says:

William has that facial look of something is stanky-he just does.
