Remember when Halle Berry had really bad pageboy hair at the Oscars and everyone was relieved that it was a wig? She sported an amazing asymmetric cut at the Critics Choice Awards that was giving Storm vibes. This hair is so striking on her and she wears it well. There’s a remote possibility this is also a wig, but if so it’s incredibly convincing. Halle got the SeeHer Award, following her successful directorial debut in Bruised and her long body of work. In her impressive acceptance speech she talked about how storytelling helps people have compassion and empathy and how women are telling their own stories.
Halle was in this cool Dolce & Gabbana pantsuit with a white corset. It looked better on stage than it does on the red carpet with the jacket open. I’m so glad she’s getting her flowers. Halle and Van Hunt coordinated too!
Marlee Matlin was also in Dolce & Gabbana, in this purple chiffon off the shoulder gown with sheer sleeves. This is a classic red carpet dress and she looks lovely. I thought CODA was a frontrunner for Best Picture, but Power of The Dog won both at the BAFTAs and The Critics Choice Awards, so that race may be closer than we think.
The women of Pose presented together and there was so much glamor on screen at once! Indya Moore is in Off-White, Angelica Ross is in Valdrin Shahiti, Hailie Sahar is in Rick Owens and nominee MJ Rodriguez is in Valentino. Pose was nominated for Best Drama, which went to Succession.
Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple and Brett Goldstein were in London to accept the award for Best Comedy Series for Ted Lasso. You can see their speech here. Hannah also won Best Supporting Actress at the CCAs for the second year in a row and her speech is here. She’s so genuinely happy to be recognized and it’s refreshing. Hannah was in Carolina Herrera and Juno is wearing Armani.

I stan MJ Rodriguez. That is all. 🙂
I wish people would stop wearing D&G.
Yes. Goes to show that people can be woke in some issues and choose not to be allies for others.
Halle would be amazing looking if she was 35 which is easier to believe than the fact she is 20 years older than that!
Nope, nope, nope, Halle is gorgeous but thing on her head looks like a student project from taxidermy school.
The women from Pose look spectacular. I especially love Hailie in Rick Owens – not many can carry that off.
Its very close to the classic “Karen” style everyone photoshops onto Christian Horner when he’s being well Christian Horner!
Halle looks like she’s wearing a hairpiece to me. You can see the volume in the back (in a video I watched of her speech), which suggests that her real hair is underneath. Plus going that light would be so hard on her hair and break it all off, so she probably isn’t into doing that to match an outfit.
It looks like the blonde is extensions/add-ins to me. I think everyone in this grouping looks fantastic.
