Florence Pugh also wore a different Valentino duvet to the VF Oscar party

It’s been a busy morning full of Oscar coverage and I’m just here to let you know that we’ll have a lot of Oscar party coverage tomorrow. Here’s a little preview of coming attractions, some selected photos from the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Florence Pugh wore a tragique duvet to the Oscars, then she went to the hotel and changed into a different duvet for the parties! This too is Valentino, like her Oscar look. I have no idea why Florence was like “man, I want to wear a down comforter at the Oscars and the after-parties!”

Miss Flo’s nemesis Olivia Wilde was also at the VF party. She got one boob out in this Gabriela Hearst look. Try-hard.

Kate Hudson in Tamara Ralph. This too is try-hard but I actually enjoy it? It’s fun and stupid.

Malala Yousafzai – I loved her silver Oscar look but this is so boring.

Kerry Condon also went for a boring party look. I guess this was probably more comfortable?

Andrea Riseborough wore… this.

I couldn’t figure out Florence’s hair. Are her bangs actually the end of her ponytail?

    • Jais says:

I’ve never seen someone do this before. But I am legit fascinated that the end of her ponytail is serving as her bangs.

  2. Pampelmuse says:

The combination of this dress with Andrea Riseborough‘s (good awful) hear leaves me shuddering. It certainly is a look but it looks so bad.

    • Jen says:

      she’s giving me sad clown.

      • Lady Esther says:

Sad clown indeed after that thirsty stunt she pulled didn’t get her an Oscar. It’s a shame, she’s a good actress but she will wear that like an oxen yoke for the rest of her career. Good lesson in sportsmanship for everyone…

And Kaiser thank you for “Andrea Riseborough wore… this.” Cackled so hard I woke the cat!

      • CC says:

        She’s gone full harlequin.

  3. amelia says:

Looking at Andrea Riseborough’s outfit and all I can hear is Judy Collins singing “Send in the clowns.”

  4. Emmi says:

This reminds me of myself on a Sunday, rolling out of bed, throwing a bathrobe over my butt and padding to the kitchen. Except, someone comes in and taps me with a magic wand so I look glam. But the theme is the same.

  5. Wendy says:

Yes – the end of her ponytail – my QiJong teacher does that look every day so I recognized it right away. Kind of a versatile look once you get used to it. Flo’s hair almost looks laminated to keep it in place.

  6. HeyKay says:

Awful. All of these are awful.
I’m starting to think the stylists are pranking us all.

  7. mtos says:

I liked Malala’s party look. It’s a good color on her and she looks super comfy.

    • The Recluse says:

Malala looked perfectly fine. A nice color and a nice style. Elegant, too. Not everyone has to look like a Mardi Gras float.

  8. JanetDR says:

Flo’s Oscar look had a little pizzazz at least. Why wouldn’t you wear a pretty party dress under this so you could take the coat off and dance? Weird how OW is going for the same Here’s my bra 👀
Again, I am struck by the need to yank up a dress, this time it’s Olivia Hudson’s dress. Kerry’s look is very bland but the best of the bunch. Malala looks so great in colors…. I have no words for AR’s dress 😱

  9. MsIam says:

Looks like the duvet is also a hoodie. How interesting, maybe she can go home and jump right into bed. Also, Andrea’s outfit is a double nope for me. I like Kate Hudson’s pink dress better than the red carpet dress.

  10. Whyforthelove says:

I’m torn, I usually love rolling out of bed and wrapping up in a soft comfy robe or blank or…. But as formal wear it’s ummmm not a great look.

  11. Anne Keane says:

Kerry and Malala look lovely. Isn’t that sometimes enough? Florence has bad taste and the Oscars were no exception. This and the Tour de France shorts look. Nope.

    • Fabiola says:

Malala kept it classy. The awards gown was beautiful. I think she just wanted to be comfortable at the after party.

  12. wordnerd says:

Olivia Wilde’s heavy, dark eye makeup is doing her zero favors. Maybe her MUA is team Flo…

  13. Mel says:

I thought that was Scarlett Johanson at first glance. Girlfriend loves wearing a deflated parachute. Do you Florence. I usually find Kate Hudson exhausting but I think the pink is really nice on her.

  14. Justpassingby says:

I must be getting old, but I find a lot of these looks vulgar and indecent. Since when has it become classy and fashionable to show your boobs at an award ceremony? I’m baffled!

    • BQM says:

Wait until you see Hunter Schaefer’s look.

I’ll take boring (Malala’s—though I think it’s lovely and Princess Leia like) and comfy (Kerry condon) but attractive over boobs (literally) out, see through and missing half a dress (too many to name).

  15. Coco says:

Malala and Kate dresses are not my favorite, but the best of the bunch.

  16. Thinking says:

All of Florence Pugh’s outfits look the same to me – shorts or bra or crop top with some kind of evening wrap.

This may be the current style though. So my opinion may be completely irrelevant. There has to be a reason she, as a very beautiful celebrity, always dresses like this so it’s likely the current trend.

    • Carrot says:

Florence looks perfect for dancing and having a good time. The whole outfit is kind of Madonna retro but in a really good way

  17. HeyKay says:

    Malala looks very good, beautiful.
She should be given a medal for the way she handled Jimmy Kimmel and his BS.

Kimmel is never good, the Oscars should cut down on the host time and the songs.
Keep it moving along, cut the entire show to under 2 hours.
I bet the ratings are way down again this year.

The bras on display, the endless sheer gowns, all of it garish and ugly.
    Put the boobs away.
Olivia Wilde, my word, she is really reaching to get attention.
    S. Weaver, I thought her gown was not well fitted at all.
Kidman truly has jacked up her face far too much, she looks hard and pulled tight.

    • Roo says:

      Hey Kay,
I think Nicole had all her fillers dissolved (thank goodness) and had a facelift. I wonder if she had a deep plane facelift, but they usually look more natural than her result — maybe her skin was too stretched by the fillers? She looks better without her fillers, but yes, I agree she looks hard.

  18. Kc says:

Ok – I’m ready for the hate but I really liked flo’s looks – I was down for both duvets. I rely on her to be unexpected and she doesn’t disappoint. I loved the fit of the gown and the bike shorts were awesome. She always looks like she is having fun with fashion and I’m here for it.

    • YOKOOHNO says:

I’m with you KC, I actually love both her looks, but then I like Michelle Williams’ as well so I know I’m not in agreement with many here lol

  19. Aly says:

Florence really said I respect serving on red carpet but that’s not for me.

    Kate Hudson’s dress is gorgeous.

  20. Jennifer Graff says:

I know that cotton candy pink is the ‘it’ color right now. But I am so sick of it already. Maybe if Kate’s dress was in a different color it would work better for me anyway.

  21. Lucy2 says:

Malala looks lovely, but I don’t care for any of the others. I find it hilarious they’re both Florence and Olivia wore such similar looks with the black bra.
